Theme Song

Come on, come out, we don't have all day (Gray and Fortis try getting Durus, Leviculus, Fidens, and Magna out of bed with an annoyed look on their faces)
Let's do this adventure the right way (Gray runs down a road with Chase, Durus, Audino, Tara, Scyther, and her other Pokemon following)
We will look back on what we were (Fortis is pictured on a black canvas before a faded image of a Flygon appears behind him in flames)
Even now, we're still unsure... (Team Purity's logo flashes on the screen, and Deus' masked faces appear)
What the future holds! (Gray's final team flashes by)
Be fast, grab your dreams and run (Trentavious, Savannah, and Marcus appear with their starters, and they smirk at Gray while Trent glares)
Look back, make sure to have fun (Gray, Chase, and Tara sit underneath a tree with their Pokemon while laughing)
Remember now, don't look back, Stay calm and give it a crack... (Gray and her Pokemon stand on a hill with Chase, Audino, Tara, and Scyther)
Pokemon!

Before we start, I need to make a few shoutouts. PLEASE go check out ShadowDragon9000's story "All Out" and Blaze Falcon's story "Pokemon Kalos Legends" There will be some crossover chapters with Blaze Falcon, and both stories are really enjoyable, so go check them out! Also, thanks for the reviewer support last chapter, and throughout the entire story!

How goes things, people? Last chapter was pretty good from Chase's point of view, even though Gray essentially denied his date. Still, he he thinks there's at least a chance after Gray's awful response, and we'll see where things go from there. Focusing on this chapter, Celadon City will be under attack from a Florges, and Gray will attempt to stop it. Now let's get going!

From Down Under (guest): Poor Chase. He won't dwell on Gray saying no, and he won't really bring it up unless she decides to talk to him about it, which will happen down the road. As for your theory, you are correct, though she won't be calming it down

ShadowDragon9000: Haha, not at all. And I don't think it was blatantly obvious, though given some of my responses and wanting to make this story different than the others I've done, I could see why it was easy to foresee. Lol, the sass at the end of that review was too real (even though it wasn't)

Defender31415: Lol. Chase won't be taking a second chance (at least that's what my outline says) with Gray, and she did make a pretty smart decision by saying no/thinking about it

Blaze Falcon: Eh, denial isn't such a bad thing, especially considering Chase has been harboring these feelings for a really long time. There won't be anyone Gray's interested in, however, although Marcus wouldn't be a bad idea considering how friendly he and Gray are

guest: Nothing like Brooklyn's situation will happen again, so don't worry about that. Audino really is Chase's conscience with the way she acts and tries guiding him away from things that are dangerous and stuff that he wants, and Florges is the last Pokemon on Gray's team. She'll get angry for a reason pretty close to your idea

Trentavious Phoenix: Yup, and I never knew they were good competitively, only because I'm not interested in pursuing such depths of Pokemon, though I don't have a problem with anyone that's in to competitive

MerlockVonBaron: Yeah, an Eevee for Serena and Noibat for Ash, and I watched the Goodra release episode which I hated only because Goodra was leaving. I did like Ash's reasoning for doing it, though

mighty 9 (guest): Gracias! And Gray won't be romantically interested in Chase, or anyone for that matter, unless I write a Johto sequel, which wouldn't be guaranteed to have a romantic interest

"Please?" Durus begged Gray while looking up at her trainer, who was scratching her chin while considering the request. "Come on, we've been training so hard these past couple of days, and we need a break!" Durus turned and looked at her teammates. Leviculus, Fidens, and Magna nodded in agreement while Fortis sat back and didn't reply. Seeing the desire for an off day, Gray slowly nodded and motioned for everyone to go.

"Thanks, Gray!" the four Pokemon who wanted the day off sang before running off and doing their own thing. Fortis, meanwhile, stayed at the battlefield and looked at Gray.

"Aren't you going to take the day off, Fortis?" Gray questioned while eyeing the powerful Pokemon. Fortis shook his head adamantly and began flapping his wings powerfully, making an ear piercing sound echo through the air.

"Nope. I'm all up for training, and I don't want to let anyone else outwork me!" the dragon type answered emphatically with a smile. "I want to be the strongest Pokemon I can be, so..." Fortis stopped speaking and looked around for a second, not wanting to continue. Gray, however, pushed him to continue, so he did. "So no Pokemon has to go through the same things I did," the Vibrava stated, making Gray cock her head in confusion. That's when Fortis realized he hadn't told anyone else - other than Durus - about Chris, so he went on to tell Gray about his first trainer.

"I'm so sorry to hear that, Fortis," Gray started as she knelt down next to her Pokemon and placed a hand on his head. "If you want to get stronger to protect the innocent, then I'll train with you for as long as you want." Fortis bowed his head thankfully before Gray hugged him. "How about we go look for Chase and Tara, and they can battle against us?"

"Sounds like a plan!" Fortis answered excitedly as he and Gray walked side by side and away from the Pokemon Center, where the rest of the team was laying comfortably.

"Why am I helping you look for flowers?" Tara asked Chase as the two walked along Route 16. Scyther and Audino were also out of their Pokeballs, but they hadn't said much of anything the entire walk.

"Because you're a girl and you actually know what girls like when it comes to this stuff," Chase answered as if Tara should've known the answer. "If Gray sees how serious I am, maybe she'll say yes to a date." As soon as Tara heard Chase's explanation, she cupped her hands and leaned her head against them like a lovesick puppy.

"Aw, that's so sweet! Do you know what her favorite color is? We could get a flower of that color," Tara suggested, which made Chase scratch his chin while he tried thinking about an answer.

"I don't see why you just go to a flower store," Scyther started plainly, making Audino and Tara glare at him. "Seriously, it'd be so much easier to just go there and buy a flower if you really wanted to. Plus, it's Celadon City, which is basically the capital of gardening!"

"This is so much more thoughtful, though," Audino argued, making Scyther shrug before muttering something inaudible under his breath. Chase seemed to know what the bug type had stated regardless, and he laughed in response before stopping near a field of flowers.

"I don't remember what her favorite color is, but I think a white flower would be pretty nice," the teen explained before bending down to look at the flowers. Suddenly, he saw a large group of white flowers that looked more like a wreath. "Wow! Look at all of these!" Chase exclaimed while pointing at the bunch of white flowers.

"Those would be perfect! Especially if you brought all of them," Tara opined. As soon as Chase bent down to pick the flowers, Scyther noticed something about the field of flowers. Immediately, the bug type ran forward and tried stopping Chase, knowing that those weren't actually flowers, but he was too late. Chase yanked at the wreath, and he was launched into the air by a blast of pink energy, which made Audino and Tara gasp while Scyther sharpened his blades in preparation for a battle.

"Chase, are you okay?" Tara asked the boy as she knelt down by his side. The teen didn't respond, and Audino placed her ear against her trainer's chest.

"He's fine, but whatever that was knocked him out cold. We need to get him to a hospital to make sure he'll be safe," Audino informed Tara, who nodded in response. The girls quickly picked Chase up and Tara turned to Scyther, who was growling at the flowers like a madman, making the girl sweat drop until the flowers began moving. Slowly, a Pokemon rose from the flowers and peered down at Scyther angrily, which terrified the bug.

"Scyther, come on! We have to get Chase to the hospital!" Scyther didn't need to be told twice, and he bolted after his trainer and Audino, only to turn around and see that the frightening Pokemon was charging another blast of pink energy.

"Ges!" A pink ray flew through the air and barely missed the group, but it exploded on the ground and caused a hole. Tara and Audino quickly kicked it into high gear and fled into the city, which, unbeknownst to them, put everyone else in grave danger. While they were chased by the enraged Pokemon, Gray and Fortis had been looking around Celadon City for hours in hopes of finding Chase and Tara.

"Why don't we just go back? I can battle Durus or Leviculus," Fortis proposed, which was met with Gray shaking her head viciously.

"No can do. I gave them the day off, and there's no way any of them would pass up on this," Gray informed the dragon type, who frowned in response. "Don't worry, Fortis, we'll find them sooner or later." As Gray finished her proclamation, an explosion occurred a few blocks away, making the girl and her Pokemon look at each other before running towards the smoke. After making their way through a wave of people running away from the sight, Gray and Fortis saw a strange Pokemon in the middle of the city angrily shooting blasts of pink energy in every direction, even striking buildings.

"Hey! Stop!" Gray shouted at the wild Pokemon, who turned its attention to the girl. Gray quickly backed away from the terrifying, yet emotionless look on the Pokemon's face until Fortis stepped in front of his trainer and began flapping his wings as harshly as he could, making the wild Pokemon cup its ears in pain. Gray then took out her Pokedex and scanned the Pokemon. It had a white face and white arms, while a large bunch of white flowers covered its neck. Its eyebrows were dark blue, and its lower body, was dark blue. It had two stubby legs, and two other object, which looked somewhat like two leaves, sticking out of its legs.

"Florges, the Garden Pokemon. It claims exquisite flower gardens as its territory, and it obtains power from basking in the energy emitted by flowering plants." Slowly, Gray looked up from the picture of Florges on the Pokedex and noticed the two didn't match. The angered Florges had white flowers around its face - which was one of the many different colors of flowers it could have - but the lower portions of its body were blue, not green.

"Wait, is that a shiny Pokemon!? I have to catch it!" Gray thought to herself after realizing the Pokemon was, in fact, shiny.

"Fortis, use Dragon Breath!" Gray commanded. The winged Pokemon nodded and opened his mouth as soon as his trainer issued the command. A wave of green fire shot out of Fortis' mouth and hit the Florges head-on, but the fairy type didn't take any damage. Gray and Fortis looked on in confusion while the fully evolved Pokemon continued to give an expressionless look.

Suddenly, Florges placed her hands together and an orb of pink energy began to form. Without hesitation, the wild Florges threw her hands forward and a zigzagging ray of pink energy flew towards Fortis. The dragon type barely managed to avoid the super effective attack, and he locked eyes with the Florges before flying towards her.

"Latch onto Florges' arm with Bite, Fortis!" Gray commanded. Fortis quickly snapped his jaws on Florges' arm, but it didn't seem to do much damage to the powerful Pokemon. Suddenly, a hurricane of leaves began to revolve around Florges, and they all caved in and slashed Fortis, who cried in pain before being thrown into the air effortlessly. Florges's eyes then flashed light blue, and a thin line of blue energy appeared around Fortis' body. With a simple flick of her wrist, Florges sent Fortis crashing into the ground at the speed of a missile.

"Fortis, are you okay?" Gray asked as the injured Pokemon slowly rose to his feet. He nodded in response and waited for Gray to give him another command, but the girl tok her time and tried thinking a few moves ahead despite not knowing all of her opponent's moves. "Let's use Earthquake!" Fortis slowly raised his front legs off the ground before slamming them, and everything began shaking violently, while people that were watching the battle fell over. A column of dirt suddenly shot out of the ground and struck Florges in the face, sending the fairy type straight in the air.

"Flor!" While Gray and Fortis were celebrating, Florges raised her arms in the air and threw a green ball at the ground. When it made contact, the ball disappeared and the ground was covered in flowers and grass, which confused the teen and her Pokemon. When Florges landed, the shiny Pokemon simply waited for her opponents to attack, which took them a few seconds.

"Mix it up with Earth Power!" Fortis slapped his tail agains the ground this time, and a wave of rocks crashed towards Florges. The fairy type narrowed its eyes and two vines shot out of its neck. Once the wave of rocks closed in, Florges used her vines to leap over the powerful attack, and she began crashing towards Fortis, who looked on in shock. "Bide," Gray whispered to the Pokemon, who nodded in response and braced himself.

"Ges!" Florges cried before whipping Fortis with her vines. The dragon refused to back down or show any signs of weakness, which seemed to impress Florges. However, the fairy type didn't let up, and she stuck her arms out to her sides. A flurry of rainbow colored leaves began to revolve around her body, and they were thrown at Fortis, who was slashed by each and every one of the leaves. Gray watched in fear while her Pokemon began to sway back and forth slightly, but he managed to regain his balance before looking back at Gray and smiling.

"You know what to do, Fortis," Gray said to the Pokemon, who nodded in response. Florges, meanwhile, didn't know what the two were talking about, but she decided to charge at Fortis to finish the battle. As she reared one of her vines back, Florges' eyes went wide when Fortis opened his mouth and a blast of white energy surged towards her. The fairy type screamed in pain as she took the brunt of the attack and was sent flying as a result. After bouncing along the grassy streets, Florges struggled to get back on her feet, and the flowers and grass disappeared.

"Now, let's hope this works," the trainer said to herself while taking a Pokeball off her belt. After enlarging the device, Gray hurled it at Florges, who looked up in shock. Suddenly, she was zapped inside the Pokeball, and it began to wriggle back and forth. While it did, Fortis smiled and fell on his side in exhaustion, but Gray quickly picked him up and cradled the Vibrava in her arms.

Ping!

The two looked up at the Pokeball lying across the ground, and Gray made her way over to the device and picked it up. Smiling, she clipped the capsule onto her belt and beamed. Fortis also smiled at the capture, and Gray walked back to the Pokemon Center.

"Hey, where have you guys been? I was looking for you all day!" Gray shouted as Tara and Chase walked outside to the battlefield behind the Pokemon Center. The two exchanged glances before shrugging, and Scyther spoke up.

"We figured we'd check out Route 16 before we actually had to travel there. Ya know, just incase there were any aggressive Pokemon," the bug type informed Gray before he sat down and yawned. Suddenly, Gray face palmed and she looked down at Fortis, who nodded at her.

"I totally forget to tell you four," Gray started while pointing at Durus, Leviculus, Fidens, and Magna. "Fortis and I battled a really tough Pokemon and decided to catch it!" the brunette exclaimed.

"Awesome! That means we have a full team now!" Fidens shrieked joyfully. "So what kind of Pokemon is it?" the prehistoric Pokemon inquired. Gray grinned in response before taking a Pokeball off her belt and throwing it in the air.

"Come on out!" In a flash of light, Florges appeared and looked around at the large crowd. Tara, Scyther, Audino, and Chase all froze up at the sight of the ominously familiar Pokemon, who slowly turned and locked eyes with them. She didn't do anything, however, and decided to leave them alone. "Everyone, this is Florges, the newest member of the team!"

"Nice to meet you. I'm Magna!" the Chingling greeted while extending her hand. Florges slowly looked down at the psychic type before turning back to Gray and staring at her.

"Oh, I forgot, I have to give you a translator." With that, Gray pulled out her last translator and clipped it around Florges' neck, allowing the fairy type to speak.

"Hi," the fairy type greeted with a disinterested tone. Of course, Magna was too friendly and happy to pick up on Florges' attitude, so she walked away while skipping. Leviculus and Fidens then introduced themselves and extended their hands, but Florges leered down at them, making everyone stand around awkwardly.

"I'm guessing you're not much of a talker. That's fine," Fidens said to the fairy type with a smile before walking away.

"Yeah. Whenever you feel comfortable enough to talk to us, feel free to do so," Leviculus informed his newest teammate before bowing respectfully. Lastly, Durus walked over and extended her paw.

"The name's Durus." Florges looked down at Durus' paw and glared at the normal type before crossing her arms and turning away, making the Persian steam. "So you think you're tough? I've got news for you-" Gray cut Durus off by stepping in front of the normal type and glaring at her.

"Durus, that's no way to treat anyone, especially someone that's new." The normal type rolled her eyes in response and began cursing her breath as she walked away from Gray, who turned to Florges and smiled at the fairy type. "Sorry about that. My name's Gray, by the way." The trainer bowed to Florges respectfully, but the shiny Pokemon crossed her arms and turned away, making Gray sweat drop.

"Shouldn't we give her a nickname?" Fortis asked, popping into the conversation. Gray smiled at the idea and nodded before pulling out a book and looking for a word that could describe her newest Pokemon.

"How about... Decorus? It means beautiful." Surprisingly, Florges responded with a slight nod, which made Gray beam in response. "Decorus it is! Welcome to the team!" While Gray cheered, Decorus simply turned and walked away, making her trainer, Chase, Tara, Fortis, Audino, and Scyther sweat drop.

"She's going to be a tough one to crack," Chase said to Gray, who shrugged in response.

"It doesn't matter, because I'll get through to her eventually. Then, we'll win the Indigo League!"

Gray's team is finally complete, and now she'll have to help Decorus (who is shiny) adjust to being a team player, which won't take that long. Fortis also showed off how strong he was, and it looks like he's really close to evolving once again. Next chapter will be about Decorus introducing herself to the others, which, as the title states, probably won't go over too well. Till next time, peace out.

1) Thoughts on Decorus?

Next Chapter: "Dealing with a Diva": Now a member of Gray's team, Decorus has trouble adjusting to the personalities of her teammates... or maybe it's the other way around. With an attitude that is deemed obnoxious, Decorus clashes with several of the group members. Will the unity between the Pokemon be broken and transform into turmoil?
