Just a bit of Virgil and Alan as requested :)

As they walked away from the hollow and towards the stream, John glanced a look at his eldest brother. He was worried about when this was all going to end but he also worried for Scott's sake. The eldest Tracy brother, having spent a lot of time with Alan, would no doubt find it difficult to allow the youngest Tracy the freedom from his brothers that he had before. Alan would run on the beach or lock himself away in his room( as any teenager would) but after all the nightmares end and the young blonde starts to trust again, John wondered whether Scott could just let things fall back to normal that quickly without being constantly worried or "mother-hen" like. The thing with the eldest sibling is that he would always be protective and worrisome, but sometimes it did nobody any good. He would become stressed and Alan sooner or later would get fed up of all the check-ups and questions.

Thinking about it, John asked himself if this would end soon. Of course he preferred to be in the jungle with those that needed him but he did miss his home comforts. He missed his bed, the huge meals and secretly (though he would never tell Gordon) he missed the pool and being able to lounge by it and muck around with his brothers. Things wouldn't be like that for a while; but they were getting better.

Virgil and Alan sat in the hollow glaring at each other. Alan sat with his back to the outside world and Virgil looked him directly in the eye. It was almost a staring competition between the brothers with neither one backing down. They were playing cards. An innocent game usually; but everything turned immensely competitive with the Tracy family and Virgil wasn't too sure he liked that his younger brother was beating him. Alan laid down his final card before smirking slightly at the corners of his mouth and Virgil lost it.

He pushed all the cards aside and leapt across to his brother who had been completely taken by surprise. Virgil grabbed his brother around his stomach and lifted him up over his shoulder as his ran straight out of the hollow. Alan playfully yelled to be let down as Virgil ran around the clearing outside. "You're not supposed to win!" he shouted, laughing out loud.

"Well I guess I'm just better than you Virgie!" Alan laughed as his brother spun around on the spot, still keeping the blonde's legs locked together by his arms. Alan's arms were free and continued to pound on Virgil's back to be let down, all the while enjoying himself.

"I'm not letting you down unless you admit you cheated!" Virgil yelled over Alan's laughter as he stopped spinning.

"What!? No way bro! I won fair and square!" Alan retorted, outraged at his brother "You're just a sore loser!" he laughed again as Virgil began to spin around faster and faster. "OKAY!" he yelled getting dizzy from the spinning and trying to laugh whilst being over his brother's shoulder. "OKAY! Okay, I'll say it!" he said gasping for air.

"Go on then." Virgil said smirking just as Alan had when he'd won, still spinning around in the clearing.

"You've gotta put me down first!" Alan put on a fake "seriously this hurts" voice and his brother instantly complied. He pulled Alan down and placed his feet on the floor, looking at him expectantly.

Alan took a deep breath and said genuinely "Okay. It looks as though…" then his expression changed and he smiled a massive grin "it looks as though the best man won!" He laughed and turned to run back to the hollow. Virgil chased his brother and ducked into the hollow after him.

As Alan laughed and crawled away, Virgil grabbed his now healed ankle, pulled him back and proceeded to tickle him. "Tell me how you did it! Tell me how you cheated!"

"Ne-Nev-Never!" Alan said between laughs as he tried to fight off his brother. "No, Virgil get off!"

John and Scott were now walking back to the hollow, canisters full of water and mid-deep in conversation about how Alan seemed to be recovering when a yell echoed out around them that made them drop the canisters and run towards it.

"No, Vigil get off!"

They expected the worse as they ran inside the hollow. They expected to see a terrified Alan and Virgil trying to calm him down. But what they got was Alan lying on his back on the floor, squirming as Virgil tickled him and interrogated him.

"Hey Virg?" John said, placing a hand on his brother's shoulder. Virgil looked up and around to meet blue eyes.

"Yeh Johnny?"

"Let the kid breathe." John said laughing as he and Scott backed out of the hollow to trace back to their canisters.
