Chapter 36

Some Needed Explaining

Why can't I get what I want for once in my damned life? I have to deal with divorcing parents, I just HAVE to get sucked into the Naruto dimension when I was about to FINALLY relax at the convention with friends, I just HAD to meet Megan and Rei, all the while getting into this mess of a situation. I just HAD to find that scroll, and we all summon Thaddeus. We just HAD to click Rei's pendant! And we just HAD to meet Jessie and have our entire already flipped-upside-down-world flipped even MORE upside down!

Here I thought I could relax and talk to Rei then get some sleep. Yet Megan just HAD to scream now didn't she? My god, life REALLY is going to owe me something when this is all over.

"WHAT WAS THAT?" Rei immediately snapped, standing out of her bed when Megan's scream filled the air.

"It seems like she's in trouble."I remarked calmly, rubbing my eyes, though I was basically panicking on the inside. Megan was a tough person, she didn't just scream

"We should go help her!" Rei declared, this was unnecessary f course, because we were already on our way out of the room.

When we arrived into the area where Megan was, Pein, Konan, Itachi, and Tobi were already inside. We were lucky Rei's brother's room was so large, or else it would have gotten crowded fast.

"We heard Megan scream uhn." Deidara said, entering the room and in a way holding Sasori up (Getting used to sleep after about twenty years is a little hard)

"Yeah, but she doesn't seem hurt." Rei said, then she turned to Megan, along with me. We realized that Pein, Konan, Itachi, and Tobi seemed frozen. When our eyes flitted to Megan, we could understand. A girl was standing- No, HOVERING slightly off the floor next to Megan, who was currently pressing herself up against the wall. Her face wasn't that of fear, she was a Shinobi after all, but of awe or surprise. Since we only had a back view of the odd girl next to Megan, all I saw was long orange curly hair falling down her back, she was wearing a little girls white nightgown, and her arms and legs seemed to shine with a ghostly color.

"W-who is that?" Konan asked, finally recovering. Rei fell back a bit

"Is that who I think it is?" Rei breathed. I turned to her, awaiting an answer to her own question

"Who?" I finally asked after a long drawn out silence

"J-Jamie?" Rei finally asked. The child turned to us, her hair rustling slightly, a smile on her face. She looked rather innocent, yet scary at the same time; her face was glowing almost as bright as the moon

"Hi big sister!" The little girl greeted cheerfully.

"I thought you were dead…" Rei remarked. The girl looked rather sad at this.

"S-she's a ghost." Megan filled in, relaxing slightly against the wall. The room deafly quiet, no that it wasn't beforehand. Everyone and even the Shinobi looked stunned. This was affirmed when Deidara dropped Sasori to the floor. If someone takes a hit in silence I'd like to tell you all this was THE. SILENCE.

"A GHOST?" Tobi screeched, and ran to hide behind Deidara. Megan sighed, and fully recovered herself, as if having a ghost in 'her' room didn't seem to bother the least bit anymore. She jumped off the bed, through Jamie, and went to help her redhead off the floor.

"And you all call me bipolar." Rei muttered, then went back to staring at her dead/not dead/dead little sister.

"So you've been haunting the house this entire time?" She asked, Jamie shook her head.

"Only today was I able to get of the abyss of the dead. Being able to see you were alive and all." The little child answered

"Then why appear near ME? In my DREAMS? Why not with Rei or something?" Megan grumbled, successfully getting Sasori on his feet.

"Well, I probably should have gone with awakening with the Fallen Child, or Hailey, that's what you all call her and whatnot." Jamie shrugged. They all turned to stare at me. I shrank back into the shadows, uncomfortable under the stares (Which Megan was making extra uncomfortable by widening her eyes).

"F-fallen child?" I asked. Jamie looked at me coolly

"Yes, don't you know? Did your parents ever tell you? You must have been accidently dropped from the heavens after you had died during your REAL mother's childbirth, along with her also. I met her when I went up there for a short while. She seems to be a rather clumsy person, but to think she'd drop her angel baby out of the HEAVENS! My lord…" Jamie said. My eyes widened as I processed this. I was a fallen angel? But this was actually literal, I had actually FALLEN and I was an ANGEL!

"You're joking with me right?" I asked hurriedly. The child gave me a serious look

"One does not joke around with such matters. What surprises me the most is how you're solid, and how you haven't been re-claimed yet… I bet the overseers just decided to leave you be. The whole process of re-claiming is so long anyways, they may just screw up your life though." Jamie said. Something in my mind clicked. The divorce, the transferring into dimensions, everything. The overseers, I recall Thaddeus saying something about them earlier.

"THADDEUS!" I screamed. Everyone covered their ears, as you can tell, I scream rather loudly. The black weasel flitted to my shoulder almost immediately

"Yes, fallen child?" He asked rather mockingly. I resisted the urge to slap the black fur ball off of my shoulder

"You knew all ALONG?" I growled. He shrugged, or as much as a weasel can shrug

"You need to find out before I can inform you of your abilities and place in the human world." Thaddeus replied.

"Abilities?" I asked

"I would tell you now, but I was summoned by all three of you girls scrolls, so I can really only inform you three only. The others need to go. The ghost can come." Thaddeus said. Rei sighed and turned to Pein

"We'll be in my room, no one is to listen from outside, I know perfectly well you don't trust us, but we need to know what Hailey is capable of doing." Rei basically ordered, Peins face was cool, but I could tell he wanted to bash her against the wall and blend her brain into a smoothie for Zetsu for ordering him around like that. But he complied; everyone knew that Thaddeus wouldn't tell anyone if people were listening on this. Rei was also the 'owner' of this house, and guests usually have to oblige to the owners wishes right?

We all left rather casually, it surprised me how often we were getting used to such weird things. But Tobi was still cowering behind Deidara, and Pein looked a bit stunned.

Megan started to complain as we entered Rei's room

"But still, Thaddeus! Why can't we bring Sasori along?" She groaned.

"He didn't summon me. He is barely even supposed to be alive right now." The weasel replied rather dryly.

"My god, we don't have time for this! Thaddeus, tell me what my powers are!" I ordered, as I closed the door behind me. We all took a spot on the floor. The very creepy ghost Jamie (Who I was trying to ignore so as to not have a heart-attack) just hovered over the ground slightly in our little circle.

"Well then, you won't get the information with THAT attitude I may assure you!" Thaddeus said stubbornly.

"Rei, you stole my sledgehammer, where did you put it?" Megan growled, looking about the large room. Thaddeus didn't seem shaken by this obvious threat to his head.

"Fine, I'm sorry." I grumbled

"Well then, I guess it's okay then!" The weasel exclaimed, Rei rolled her eyes

"To think we summoned THAT!" She whispered rather loudly into Megan's ear. The weasel ignored this too

"Hailey, you were somehow dropped from the heavens and landed somewhere near your current parent's house. They must have taken you in, and raised you as one of their own. Because the Overseers were too lazy to re-claim you as an angel, they left you be, as an Earth Angel. Still, they had to go through some things to affirm you as such, but it was quicker than re-claiming you. At this they were irritated at what your mother had done, but she was suffering enough, she never has been reborn because she feels incomplete without you until three years ago when she realized you were alright. Since they can't do anything to your mother for bringing this upon them, they have made your life rather unenjoyable until you turn sixteen, which is when you stop aging physically and stay like this forever. And angel is eternal unless they are reborn, since you can't return to the heavens you are hereby, immortal." Thaddeus explained.

"I-IMMORTAL?" I nearly screamed. The weasel nodded

"Now, you and Hidan can be together FOREVER!" Megan squealed. I promptly smacked her head again

"I don't have much time until my birthday!" I exclaimed. Megan and Rei cocked their heads

"When exactly IS your birthday Hailey?" Rei asked. I glared her down

"February 12th." I growled

"Oh that's it! All the angels were bustling around excited for Valentine's day, and your mother tripped amongst the entire ruckus and sent you plummeting down to Earth!" Thaddeus suddenly remembered. I felt slightly agitated at this

"My mother dropped me because she tripped over some cheesy Valentine's SET UP?" I roared. My agitation was rising to a full on piss mode.

"Hey, anything else that could be too important would make you more Mary-Sue than you already are!" Megan added. I swung my head to her, targeting the sledgehammer where Rei had told me where it was hidden. Behind the bookshelf in the corner of the room near the window where Rei's bed was. Rei immediately changed the subject

"SO THADDEUS! What are her powers?" She asked quickly. The weasel was starting to look bored; I could see in the corner of my eye his small nimble black figure sitting on the red carpet gesturing towards Jamie. He seemed far more interested in a ghost than ME! That's it, when he revealed my abilities; I would tell Megan to smash him to bits with her new sledgehammer friend

"They are special, and only Earth Angels posses them. But she can only obtain them when she's unlocked them. She can do that when she's in a dire situation, and all else fails her. When that happens, her unique wings will sprout, and her outfit will change into that which will suit her. Her hair may also change." Thaddeus said. The look I gave him now was more of a What-The-Hell-Do-I-Do-With-This?

"This is starting to resemble Shugo Chara." Megan muttered. We all ignored her.

"Well then, if I ever sprout wings, and change form completely, you should all know this is PERFECTLY NORMAL!" I exclaimed sarcastically.

"Well, we know Hailey's powers, and what she really is. Let's all retire for now, completely ignore the existence of Jamie for now, and Hailey's Mary-Sue'ness and go to bed." Megan proposed

"HEAR HEAR!" Rei agreed. I sighed, Thaddeus disappeared from the room, and Jamie floated through the door. I secretly wished she was going to hide in Rei's brother's closet so as to scare the shit out of Megan later in the night. Megan seemed to read my thoughts and ran from the room after the ghost. I figured as much.

Rei and I retired to both of our beds for a good night's sleep.

"Night Hailey." Rei yawned, and her breathing soon calmed as she fell asleep. The same couldn't be said for me however. I lay there, recapping the day's activities. So far, this day had been the most action/drama/comedy packed day of my entire life. I took a deep breath. If this was the sixth day of my new life, I wonder what will happen when I unlock my Earth Angel powers. But those might not even be real! Who had ever heard of an Earth Angel? Seriously? After rolling around, and thinking some more, I finally fell asleep. One phrase running through my mind.

What has my life come to?

Note: My god! Two days in a row after my 4 week absence of writing? Please god no don't get used to this… I'm done for the weekend XD I'll try to start weekly updated again though!

I have had this idea in my head for SO. DAMN. LONG! Hailey is a Fallen Angel, but not the demon, devil ones, just one who literally was dropped XD I even have her Earth Angel form laid out and drawn by hand and base, sadly I always do these things ahead of times it's a bitch having to get into it slowly XD

Please note I recently got my sisters old laptop, and its old, and I'm getting used to typing on it. The O button basically fails me when I get into the fast good typing mood, so if an O is missing, please excuse it XD

Also thanks to all you regular reviewers who welcomes me back with somehow open arms after all these weeks XD And yes, Jamie WILL visit you. Hahahaha…. Mahahahaha… MWAHAHAHAHHAHA XD
