CHAPTER 35:

(PERCY)

I walked excitedly to the big house with Annabeth laughing behind me. I didn't care if I was maybe OVER excited, I'll just blame it on my wolf side. Yeah, but actually I'm always this excited when it comes to my mom. I realy love her.

"You and Eclipse will leave tomorrow morning as if to get some Demigods for a satyr." Chiron smiled as he saw my wings flutter rapidly in excitement. "And Percy remember, don't be doing anything stupid. The mist will HELP cover your wings, but it won't be enough if you happen to...catch them on fire." Chiron's eyebrow raised and I realized I had a slight small warm flames dancing happily on my wings.

"Sorry." I muttered and they went out.

"I will see you in a couple of weeks. Argus will be waiting for you at the top of the hill when you leave." Chiron said and left. I couldn't wait to see my mom again. I thought of her blue chocolate chip cookies and her blue pancakes. This boy needed his blue foods. I was so excited I forgot to go to Katie to get my wings checked up. She was absessed with them.

"Percy Jackson I'm going to kill you if your wings are damaged." She scowled at me.

"They won't. I'll be extra careful." I gave her a wolvish smile and bounded out of the demeter cabin. It smelled to much of cereal.

LINE BREAK...TO BLUE FOOD WE GO

"Percy... One more thing." Chiron trotted up to us as we were about to leave. "I told your mom your going home with a friend, but I didn't tell her about your...uh...new abilities. You'll have to tell her yourself." Chiron said his goodbyes and we were off to Manhatten.

Argus dropped us off at the bus station and drove way pretty fast. I don't blame him. I got so excited my wings burst into flames. I said I was sorry, but I don't think he wants to stick around. I shifted into a dog and Eclipse a cat and I took the lead in going to my mothers apartment. We chased each other through the streets and into allys. I think people started staring when we started just walking side by side, but I didn't care. If I told them the truth they would be doing a little more than glance at us every couple of minutes.

We finally got to our destination, sadly the place didn't allow pets. We just went around back and became humans once more. We were laughing at a really freaked out pigeon and didn't see the group of people who were behind the on the otherside of the ally. We walked in the apartment and took the elevator up to the 3rd floor. I was practically bursting with flames, but I remembered what Chiron had said. I calmed myself just before stepping out into the hall.

I saw the door and pulled Eclipse toward it excitedly. I have a feeling that was the only emotion I felt right then. I aimlessly took the key from a secret hole I accedently made a few years ago. I stepped into the house to find my mom with a GUY.

"Hey mom." I almost crushed her in a hug, the guy looked at me with a weird expresion. I realized my wings were spread out and engulfed in flames out of habit.

"Percy...y...you..." She seemed stuned and a bit confussed. I tucked them away and exdenguished the flames.

"Later." I mumbled.

"Why are you wearing wings?" The guy asked in amusment. Thank the gods for mist.

"Cause I can." I gave him a suspisious smile and turned to my mom.

"This is Eclipse. Chiron told you I was bringing a friend... To help me...with stuff... So who's that guy?" I asked. I felt akward in front of him. He had that teacher face and arua.

"This is Paul Blowfis, he is a teacher at a school." She gave me that look. I wanted to burst out laughing at the guys name, but bcame serious when I registered THE look. I knew that look. It was the look she gave me when she found a new school. I get that look once a year.

"Well anyways, Chiron wants me to stay here until summer. To...uh...cool down. I don't really know." I shrugged and sat down on the couch.

"Hi, I'm Eclipse. Chiron sent me to...uh...help him cool down." I heard Eclipse talking to my mom. I was tired and felt like punching a wall. What was wrong with me? Why couldn't I stay in a school for more than a year. The Paul guy walked up and he watched me from behind. I just sat there curled up and waiting for Eclipse to come and comfort me. I really didn't want to cry in front of this guy.

"I'm sorry that you had to find out this way." He rubbed the back of his meck nervesly. "And I suppose I need to explain..." I cut him off there.

"I don't care. As long as you don't hurt my mom, in any way. I won't hurt you, deal." I said and then shifted some more on the couch, giving my wings some space to breath.

"Who would hurt your mom?" I heard him ask quizzically, but serious at the same time. It was to late, I was already drifting off to sleep. And the dream was really weird.

I was seven or six and Gabe was super drunk after one of his partys. He walked over to me and snarled.

"No one loves you. You will never be loved and when you grow up like me, don't say I didn't warn you." That was his friendly stage. It all goes down hill from there. "Maybe I'll put you out of your misery, so you don't bother me now." He gave me a croked smile.

"Gabe, stop it. Your scaring me." I was backed up against the wall. Gabe's fist was in the air ready to pound on me. Then he stopped.

"I'm scaring you! Well, I'll show you scary." That's when he brings out the glass bottles and other things. He first throws one at me and it smashes really close. Some glass embedds itself into my skin.

The scene shifted when I was ten. Gabe came at me with a knife. I grabbed the phone and started to call 911. He throw it and it landed in my hand. Then it changed again this time it was the first time that I realised that he hit my mother. That he abused her like he did me. This was my mom's house and I wouldn't have this scum touching her again.

I woke up in furry and I think the water picked up in that vibe. I almost broke the pipes, but I settled down just in time. I looked up and Paul had that weird look on his face. My wings were engulfed in green Greek fire. They were practically touching each end of the wall. I didn't care. I wanted to find him and rip him a new one. Then I remembered he was a statue and in a different part of the country.

"... Perce. What in Hades is up?" Eclipse, glared at me and I returned it. I was about to say more. I shifted around. With that we both calpse on the ground.
