The group all got handed a visitors badge and an ice cream then were set on their way to explore the zoo. As it was Tony's idea, he got first pick according to him. "Let's go see the monkeys!" He cheered and everyone else sighed.

Last week Tony had printed out a hundred photos of monkeys and posted them around school.

It was getting slightly out of hand.

"Fine." Natasha said and they all trailed to the monkey enclosure. Tony squealed and Steve couldn't hold back his laugh. The sight of a teenage genius squeaking was funny.

The monkeys all stared at them. "Ooh?"

"Ooh." Tony replied. Bruce sighed and sat on the floor. They all looked at him.

"We'll be here for a while." He said. They all opened their mouths to say something

then closed them and sat down.

...

After half an hour Natasha dragged Clint to the bug house and he waited in the dark as she pressed her face against the spider tank. Her hair was glowing red and he could see her smile from the other side of the room.

"Hey, Nat-" he started.

"Look at the black widow spider. Isn't it cute?" She said cheerfully.

"Uh, I guess?"

"Almost as cute as I am, guess that's what you're thinking." Natasha turned round and Clint blushed and stepped back.

To be honest he was thinking you're way cuter but he didn't say anything and just looked at her. "I didn't say that."

"You were implying it."

"I didn't say anything though!"

"In your look." She explained. He sighed and looked past her at the spiders crawling round. God they were creepy. "Do you want to go see some birds?" She asked quietly.

Finally a smile spread across his face.

...

"I want to be a walrus!" Thor yelled and Steve groaned. They were at the walrus show with the others then they were going to the bird show for Clint.

"You'd be a great walrus, Thor!" Tony laughed.

"Don't encourage him for Odin's sake," came a bitter voice and Tony jumped as he saw Loki sat behind him.

"I thought you weren't coming!" He complained.

"Thor contacted Mother and she insisted that I come with you to be 'sociable'."

"Are you a mummy's boy?" Tony smirked.

"My mother could beat you in an unfair fight balancing your way when you're cheating. I really highly doubt that you can make any inappropriate jokes about her." Loki said. "Anyway if you do I'll turn you into a frog and see how much your Pepper loves you then."

"But she doesn't love me..."

Loki scoffed and leant back. Tony decided to ignore him and watched as Thor bounded forward to volunteer as a walrus feeder.

...

Natasha watched her friend run around, staring at all the birds. "Caw!" Clint yelled and an owl hooted back. "Nat! That owl just spoke to me!"

"Awesome." She said and shared a smile with Tony. They had promised Clint that they wouldn't leave him. Bruce and Steve were at the meerkat cage and Loki had stayed reluctantly with Thor.

"Barton I'm bored. Come on, birdbrain, can we leave?" Tony said.

Clint turned round and pouted at them. "But...please.."

"No."

"But-"

"We're going."

"Fine." Clint said and looked at the birds. "I'll have to leave you now," he began.

Natasha sighed. "Oh, God."

"-but I will always remember you. Remember me on my parting words..."

"Which will be stupid," Tony said.

"Caw caw." Clint saluted them. "Caw, caw, motherfuckers."
