Chapter 36 Beginning War

(Arthur's note: the Valerie from Dan's timeline will be referred to as Future Valerie so as not to get confused, when she meets her past counterpart. The same goes for Vlad, when they talk about past Vlad)
Amity was preparing for war. All the citizens had been evacuated and now the streets and sky were filled with Guys in White and Skulker's ghost allies. At FentonWorks Danny and his team were gearing up. Future Vlad had recovered, but he seemed greatly shaken by the ordeal with his past counterpart giving up his humanity and siding with Dan. Everybody did there best to try and cheer him up, but he seemed lost in thought. Danny was also lost in thought about the coming war.
"Were going to need some kind of miracle to win this war." Muttered Danny.
"I believe I can help with that." Said a voice.
There was a flash of light and Clockwork appeared in his adult form. Everybody leaped back in fright with some of them pulling out blasters and pointing them at Clockwork. Danny quickly raised his hands.
"Hold this guy is on our side! This is Clockwork." Said Danny.
Everybody put up their blasters and eyed Clockwork.
"I have come to help you Danny. I will help you defeat Dan. the ancients will give you the power but you must come with me." Said Clockwork.
"Why couldn't the ancients come here to give me this power?" Asked Danny.
"The process that requires giving you this power takes time and you would be completely exposed. We can not afford you being killed before the process is complete." Said Clockwork.
"Alright I'll come, but will it take long?" Said Danny.
"Will work as fast as we can, but we must hurry." Said Clockwork.
Danny walked over to Clockwork.
"Wait! Before you go are you the one who brought us to this timeline?" Asked Future Valerie as she and Future Vlad stood side by side.
"I am." Said Clockwork.
"Why'd you bring us here and what do you plan to do with us when this is over?" Asked Future Vlad.
"You both have a connection to Dan and I knew your skills would help Danny deal with Dan's plans. As to what's I'm going to do to you, don't worry I promise you will not be erased." Said Clockwork.
Future Valerie and Future Vlad let out a sigh of relief. Clockwork then turned his attention to Future Vlad.
"In the coming war you must make an important decision in order to help fight this crises." Said Clockwork.
Future Vlad looked confused as Danny's family members and friends went to say goodbye to him. Sam gave Danny a quick kiss on the lips.
"Come back quickly." She said.
"I will." Said Danny.
"Good luck Danny." Said Tucker.
"Will hold down the fort." Said Valerie.
"Come back so we can wail on the evil you and evil Vlad." Said Dani.
"I will and thanks everyone." Said Danny.
In a flash of light Danny and Clockwork vanished. The rest of the team went back to arming themselves for war.
In the Ghost Zone Eyeuran watched Danny and Clockwork disappear. The rogue Observant scanned the energy of Clockwork and traced it back to a pocket dimension. Eyeuran then reported his findings to Dan.
"So Danny is getting help from Clockwork and a bunch of ancients, who are going to give him powers that will defeat me. Interesting." Said Dan.
"My lord I wish to pursue them. I'll capture or kill the ancients. Then I'll capture Danny and bring him to you." Said Eyeuran.
"Very well you may proceed. Take as many soldiers as you want with you." Said Dan.
"Thank you my king." Said Eyeuran as he left the throne room.
Dan walked out onto a balcony to observe his massive army. Outside there were millions of black and white skeletons ready for war. Eyeuran summoned three hundred of them to his side. The rogue Observant then opened up a ghost portal and vanished with the skeletons. Dan smiled evilly at his massive army. Soon he would open up a portal and invade Earth.
Danny and Clockwork had just arrived in the pocket dimension. Danny saw an ancient looking castle. Out flew three ghost in purple capes in hoods carrying staffs.
"Allow me to introduce Cosmo Master of Space, Discord Master of Chaos, and Justice Master of Order." Said Clockwork.
The three ancients nodded at Danny.
"Nice to meet you all." Said Danny as he turned back to Clockwork. "Now about these powers?" He asked.
"Come inside and we will give them to you." Said Clockwork.
The five of them flew into the castle. They entered a large room with a table. There was a pedestal with a cloth covering something glowing underneath. Cosmo went to the pedestal, pulled the cloth off and grabbed the glowing things.
"These artifacts are meant to be used by someone who is of pure heart." Said Cosmo as he turned to face Danny.
Danny starred at the artifacts in shock. One appeared to be a small silver crown with three points in the front and a small crown simple in the center. The other item appeared to be a small silver ring with a glowing blue gem stone in the center of it.
"What are they?" Asked Danny.
"These are the Crown of Courage and the Ring of Righteousness. They can only be used by someone who is truly worthy of being the Ghost King." Said Clockwork.
"But I thought only the Crown of Fire and the Ring of Rage were the only items that made a ghost the Ghost King." Said Danny.
"Not quit. You see these items were created from the same energy that created the Crown of Fire and the Ring of Rage. But unlike the other two artifacts these two give tremendous power to whoever they deem as worthy of their power. I believe that you are worthy of them and that you can handle their power." Said Clockwork as he took the artifacts from Cosmo and handed them to Danny.
Danny put the ring on his left hand and the crown on his head, he immediately felt energy surge through his body. Danny felt incredible strong like he could do anything.
"This is...incredible!" Exclaimed Danny.
"Yes, but even with this power it's still not quit enough. We need to do one more thing to make you even stronger." Said Justice.
"What that?" Asked Danny.
"We the ancients will give you a small segment of our powers." Said Clockwork.
"Your...giving me a small amount of your powers? Will I be able...to handle it?" Asked Danny.
"It'll be hard, but...you will manage. However the process to do it will leave us and you vulnerable." Said Clockwork.
"I understand. If this is what I must do to beat Dan then so be it." Said Danny.
"This boy is brave and reckless. I like him already." Said Discord.
The ancients surrounded Danny and pointed their staffs at him. The staffs glowed and fired energy at Danny. Danny gritted his teeth as he felt his body being energized and his power growing.
Outside the castle Eyeuran and his troops had just arrived. Eyeuran was armed with trident. The rogue Observant waved his trident urging his forces forward to attack the castle. As soon as the skeletons reached the castle a bright blue energy shield popped up and prevented them from charging in.
"Curse those ancients! They think a forcefield will keep me out? I'll prove them wrong!" Said Eyeuran as his trident started glowing and he waved it around.
A hundred skeletons rose from the ground and started to merge together to form one massive shape. Soon there was a giant skeleton towering above the castle. The massive skeleton started to smash it's fist down on the forcefield creating tiny cracks. The skeleton raised it's hands and continued the process making more cracks in the forcefield.
"Soon you will be mine." Said Eyeuran in anticipation.
In the Ghost Zone Dan was using his powers to open a massive Ghost Portal to let his forces march onto Amity.
"Let the beginning of the end begin!" Laughed Dan as his forces charged out.
In Amity everybody watched as a ghost portal opened up and thousands of skeletons poured out along with Dan's generals. Undergrowth was giant sized, Aragon was in dragon form with Executioner Ghost and Archer Ghost behind him, Vortex was riding a tornado, Nocturne was surrounded by his Sleepwalkers, and Freakshow was in his monster form, with Hotep-Ra and Lydia behind him. Dan, Vlad, and Fright Knight watched their army charge at Amity.
"My this is going to be a glorious bloodbath!" Cheered Vlad.
"Yes it will be magnificent." Said Fright Knight.
Dan just grinned wickedly.
In Amity all the Guys in White and ghost charged forward. Tanks, helicopters, and Planes fired their missiles at the charging skeleton army destroying several of them. Dora charged forward in dragon form and tackled Aragon out of the sky making them crash into a building. Executioner Ghost and Archer Ghost flew after their master to help him.
The Lunch Lady raised her hands and summoned several tons of meat to her creating a massive meat monster. The Lunch Lady with her meat monster charged forward and started to wrestle Undergrowth.
At FentonWorks everybody was starring at some computer screens displaying the battle outside as they geared up.
"I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm cheering for the meat to win this fight." Said Sam as she she and Tucker watched the Lunch Lady and Undergrowth fight.
"Never though I hear you say that." Said Tucker.
"Alright lets finish gearing up and go kick some ghost butt!" Declared Jack.
Future Vlad was looking at the carnage on the screens and then he looked at the Fenton Portal that was off right now. Future Vlad thought about what Clockwork had told him about making an important decision. He now knew what he had to do.
"Wait Jack I need your help with something first." Said Future Vlad.
"Sure Vlad. Everybody else go will catch up with you latter." Said Jack.
Everybody else nodded and headed out to join the battle. Jack then turned to Future Vlad, who was now standing in the center of the off Fenton Portal.
"What are you doing Vlad?" Asked Jack.
"I need...you to turn the portal on." Said Future Vlad.
"But...Vlad that could kill you!" Exclaimed Jack.
"I know...and it's a risk I'm willing to take." Said Future Vlad.
"But...why?" Asked Jack.
"Clockwork told me...that I am supposed to make an important decision to help fight this crisis. I think he was telling me...to get ghost powers. Were going to need all the help we can get Jack. Please turn the portal on." Said Future Vlad.
"I...don't want to...hurt you again." Said Jack with a look of conflict in his eyes.
"It wasn't your fault...back in colleague. It was just an accident and I forgive you for that. Your my best friend Jack and I need you to do this for me." Said Future Vlad.
"Ok I'll do it." Said Jack as he walked over to the controls and started the portal up.
"Thank you Jack." Said Future Vlad as the portal hummed to life.
There was a hum, then a blinding flash of energy. Future Vlad screamed as his body was bombarded with energy. The lights went out. A figure stumbled out of the portal and fell on his hands and knees.
"VLAD!" Screamed Jack as he ran towards the figure.
Future Vlad felt dizzy as he looked around, he saw Jack looking down at him with a look of concern on his face before passing out.
In the pocket dimension the giant skeleton banged on the forcefield finally breaking it. Eyeuran flew forward leading several of his skeletons.
"Destroy everything, but take Danny Phantom alive. The master wants to deal with him personally." Ordered Eyeuran as his troops stormed the castle.
In the meeting room the ancients were still giving Danny energy, when they felt the forcefield get destroyed.
"There in!" Said Discord.
"Don't worry were almost done." Said Clockwork.
"Hopefully this will be enough otherwise we are all doomed." Said Cosmo.
