Kaito: Err..Yuri-chan, are you okay?
Shinichi: Just ignore her. She's just too busy with all her Uni stuffs.
Kaito: Need some help, Yuri-chan?
Yuri: Need more time! *dies*
Shinichi: *kicks Yuri at the side* Well, seems like she's a goner now…
Kaito: Aren't you supposed to solve this case?
Shinichi: Nah, she'll come back sooner or later.
Yuri: *wakes up* I CAN'T UPDATE LUCKY STAR ON TIME *dies again*
Kaito: Well, that escalated quickly.
Chapter 37: Butterfly

Straddling a teary Shinichi on his lap was making him losing his control. Kaito need a distraction, fast! "So, Yukiko-neechan, how did Shin-chan got such weird phobia? He did say it's your fault."
"Oh, I brought him to a butterfly farm when he was five. And then I pour a whole bottle of the female butterfly pheromones on him." Yukiko happily stated out the terrible incident (in Shinichi's opinion, Kaito still find it a little bit funny).
"And?" Kaito probed further, but was alarmingly aware that Shinichi started shaking uncontrollably.
"It was their mating season. And apparently the synthetic pheromones Hakase made was very very effective. Then we spend ten minutes getting rid of all the butterflies that surrounded Shin-chan. There was even a few that went into his shirt though I guess the ones that traumatize him the most is when a few decided that the best hiding place was under his pants. The poor boy didn't stop hyperventilating and fainted after he screamed." Yukiko mocked a slight apologetic look but soon changed back to her cheerful attitude and glomped Shinichi when the teary detective pouted at her story.
Blinking a few times, Kaito needed time to fully register what happened then. It's a wonder how Shinichi would survive under the abnormal upbringing style of his family.
Shinichi still refused to get out from his Kaito-shield, not with his mother happily babbling other embarrassing incidents about his ridiculous phobia. His face was flushed beyond limits and was now sporting a permanent beautiful shade of red.
The day went by albeit peacefully with Kaito and Yukiko exchanged embarrassing stories of Shinichi until a butterfly intrude their peaceful(?) afternoon.
The moment Shinichi spotted the evil winged insect, he buried his head further into Kaito's chest while trying his hardest to curl himself into a ball. Short whimpers escape his mouth and the teen was trembling more than he was before.
Kaito was torn between feeling amused and shocked at Shinichi's reaction. He didn't know his lover's phobia was this…bad. But when he heard a soft chuckle, he turned his head to see a chuckling Yukiko with a bouquet of daisies inside a vase beside her. Well, Kaito was sure there weren't any daisies before.
Now feeling very sorry for his detective, Kaito sighed and raised an eyebrow at Yukiko, earning a full-blown laugh from the victim's mom.
Deciding that enough was enough, Kaito shook his head and stood up, carefully carrying Shinichi in bridal style and went up to their room where there would be no butterfly terrorizing his trembling lover.
Besides, they could do other 'fun' activities in their room. It wasn't his fault Shinichi looked extremely vulnerable and delectable right now.
Now to solve HIS problem involving hormones.
A/N: Another drabble down while I wait for my internet to come back. Anyhow, just to inform you all, I've decided to postpone the update of Lucky Star. So, instead of 1 November 2013, I'll update the story on the 9th of November 2013. The reason, I'm still too busy with my assignments and these two weeks will be my busiest week. Then I'll be having my holidays from the 2nd of November to the 10th of November. I'll be writing and rushing the latest chapter of Lucky Star during the holiday so please bear with me. So sorry for the long wait! *bows*
