"AHHHHHHH! THIS IS TAKING FOREVER!" I yelled, tugging at my hair.

"We've only been at this for six hours between two days," Sukoshi pointed out, raising an eyebrow. "It takes a long time. And besides, at least you know what you are. That usually takes about a week."

"So what if we learnt that Celeste was an arctic fox kitsune and that I'm a silver fox kitsune?" I grumbled. "I wanna transform!"

"You're too impatient," Celeste sighed. "I want to transform too, though."

Sukoshi pinched the bridge of her nose. "Fine. We'll get one step closer. Overcoming your greatest fear. Normally, I'd wait a while, but you two seem to be progressing quickly enough. Probably thanks to your previous forms." She waved her hands, and two portals appeared. "The silver one is for Celeste, and the dark purple one is for Kasai. Good luck, you two. You'll need it."

Celeste and I exchanged glances, and went to our separate portals. We locked gazes once more, then plunged into the swirling vortex.

Celeste POV:

I looked around me. I was in a circular room, filled with mirrors. The light was dim, just light enough to see my reflection. I shut my eyes tightly, not daring to look in any of the mirrors.

Slowly, I walked forward, my arms outstretched. I felt my fingertips brush against the cool glass of one of the mirrors, and stopped. I had to overcome my fear.

I opened my eyes, staring at my reflection. Then, it blinked. I gasped, a hand flying to my mouth. My reflection did the same, but I knew better. I knew it was alive.

"I know you're in there," I whispered shakily. "I know you're not me."

My reflection smirked, and took a step back from the mirror. Her hair got shorter, and lighter, and her eyes turned all blue. It was me… Azzlyn. "Oh, so you figured it out," she said in a giggling voice. "That you're the reflection."

I didn't know how I could hear her, but I did. "Wh-What? That's not what I said! Reflections can't think! They can't speak!"

Azzlyn laughed. "Oh, but what side of the mirror are you on?" She stepped to the side a bit, and I saw the bathroom at my old house. "Are you sure you're not the reflection?"

I looked around me. The mirrors… looked like one way glass. "No," I hissed. "I'm me. You're the reflection."

I punched the mirror I was in front of. The glass shattered, falling to the ground. The room was filled with the sound of laughter. I looked around in alarm. Azzlyn was in every single mirror. Her eyes now had a reddish tint. When she spoke, her voice was deeper. "Are you sure?" she sing-sang. "Is little Celeste sure that she's real?"

I shook, my entire body being consumed by fear. Demons… These were demons in the mirror. They were going to find a way in here… I was going to die…

I sank to my knees, sobs of terror caught in my throat. "Stop! Stop, please, just stop!"

The laughing grew louder and deeper. I placed my hands over my ears, but I couldn't block out the sound. "You'll be trapped here forever!" the demons voices all said together. "You'll never see Kasai, or your coven, or the one you're protecting. Because they were all figments of your imagination, weren't they?"

Kasai. The coven. Aang. They needed me. I needed them. I rose to my feet, still, shaking. My hands clenched into fists. "You made the biggest mistakes of your lives," I said darkly. "Because you're not real. You're my fears, and fears are just figments of imagination warped into terror, aren't they? Of course I'm scared of you. I'm terrified. But you can't get to me, can you? You're locked in your little boxes inside my head. And you'll be in there forever."

I concentrated on a spot in the middle of the room. A shimmering portal appeared. I waved at the demons, who were now shrieking angrily. "Good bye," I said with a smirk, before jumping into the portal.

Kasai's POV:

I examined the area around me, curious. Where were the spider moths? Weren't those my greatest fear?

"Elaine? Are you there?"

I froze. That was… my neighbors voice. My neighbor, one of my best friends, who I hadn't seen in over a year. I turned around slowly. There she was, staring. The land around me morphed from a pure white box to my backyard. "A-Ashley?" I said in confusion. "How are you here?"

I turned, and looked over my shoulder. My coven was standing in the white box. I ran over to them. "Guys? Guys!" Before I could reach them, I slammed into a clear wall.

They snickered. "Why would we want you here?" Taurei giggled. "We don't need you. You're just a waste of space, who messes everything up."

Zuko pushed forward. I stared at him hopefully. "Please… Tell them to let me in…."

Zuko sneered at me. "Why should I do that? You lied to me, after all. And you lied to the one you're supposed to protect. Go back where you belong."

A sob left my throat. I turned, and went into my backyard, back to Ashley. "Why are you here?" she asked with a tone of looking at something disgusting.

"W- Weren't you calling me over?" I asked in a whisper.

"Well, yeah. I wanted to tell you that I don't really like you. None of the others do either. You're just… too boring. Anyways, I'm sure you'll make new friends. You were fun for a while, and you're nice enough. I've already blocked your number on my phone, so don't bother calling. Well, bye now!" Ashley headed back over to her house.

I looked at the white box. My coven and Zuko were talking and laughing, and walking away.

I snorted. I should've known not being accepted by anyone would be my fear. But how do you overcome that?

A sudden crash of loneliness and sadness washed over me. I sank onto the grass, tucking my knees under my chin. How the hell could I overcome this? How could I break through this awfulness?

I don't know how long passed before I started giggling insanely. Perhaps five seconds, five minutes, or five hours. The chuckles escaped me, until I was full out laughing. It had a slight tinge of insanity to it, but it was laughter.

I leapt up from my curled position, laughing madly, and began spinning around. "I don't need you," I giggled. "I don't need you. Why would I? Who needs your company? I'm not a completely awful person. I can make friends." I let out a particularly insane sounding laugh. "I could always talk to corpses."

The sounds of chatting in the direction of the white box behind me stopped. "What do you mean, you don't need us?" Mira's quiet voice asked.

"Oh, I don't mean no company. I mean, I don't need to be around assholes. I might not be okay right now, but I'll get over it," I replied, still giggling.

"You mean… you aren't scared of us leaving you?" Tate asked.

"Well, of course I am," I snickered. "But who needs people who would abandon you? I don't need people like that around me."

"So… you don't like us anymore?" Aang asked quietly. "B-But… We… We're your coven, and your friends." He stepped closer to the glass. "You're my protector."

"And I always will be," I promised, my insane laughter coming to a halt. "Good bye, for now."

I concentrated on the ground, and a portal appeared. I jumped in, determined to now complete my training.

When I came out of the portal, Celeste was just coming out of hers. She looked slightly haggard, and was trembling slightly. I could still feel a slightly crazed smile on my lips, and tried to stop it.

"Congratulations you two," Sukoshi smiled. "You've mastered your fear. I'm proud of you."

Celeste and I looked at each other. We were both thinking 'But at what cost?'

A/N: Well, now we know Kasai and Celeste's fears and forms! Oh, and for those who don't know, a kitsune is a many tailed fox. Reviews are much appreciated!
