~America's POV~ (a couple of days later)

"Good day fellow students," Maxon's voice roars on the PA system, "I would like to announce that we will be having our annual Halloween ball will be in a week," Thats when the cheering starts, "Your maids will give you three designs, you must choose one. That is all for today, have a good day everyone." Marlee immediately turns around in her seat to face me.

"So will you be dressing as the princess and Maxon will be your prince?" She says with a wink. I roll my eyes but blush at the thought.

"Maybe, I don't know to be honest." I give her a simple answer and my art teacher tried to get the classes attention.

Me and Maxon go to a nearby Frozen yogurt place near the school. As one of our dates. With two guards near us, of course.

"I hate this." He says looking down at his yogurt.

"You hate the yogurt?" I ask. He looks up at me.

"No. I just hate that we have to watched practically 24/7." I nod my head, agreeing with him.

"I know. It feels so weird though." He smiles at me.

"Not for me. Being a president's son, I have guards with me all the time. But its always bugged me. 'Cause I just want to be...free. No guards. No cameras. No fangirls. Just me and you...and our friends of course but mostly just me and you" he takes my hand and winks. I blush at his actions and words. I lean over the table and kiss him. Maxon gently puts a hand on my cheek, making me melt at the touch. I open my eyes and see people staring at us. I quickly move aways and blush furiously. Maxon chuckles.

"It's not funny!" I say to him.

"I never said it was!" He says with another laugh.

"Then what is so funny?" I ask.

"Your cheeks are so pink. It beautiful yet funny at the same time." He says with a goofy smile. This only make me blush a bit more.

"So have you seen your three picks for the halloween dance?" I ask him.

"Ball. Not a dance dear, it's a ball," he says serious but then starts to smile I roll my eyes," and yeah I have. Have you?"

"Yes, they look so fancy. What are yours?"

"A pirate, a prince, and a ringmaster. And you?"

"A princess, a pirate and red riding hood. I think our maids are trying to make us go in like a couple costume." He laughs and nods.

"True. I am surprised that my third choice wasn't the big bad wolf."

"Maybe because you wouldn't make a good big bad wolf. It doesn't suit you." I smile.

"Oh really now? Are you trying to say I can't be mean?" I laugh and nod my head.

"We going home." He says serious but starts to laugh, "okay maybe I can't be mean unless I am in a situation where I have no other choice."

"I know. But we really should get going, I have lots of homework." He starts to laugh.

"Well that can wait for tomorrow, I have a surprise for you my love." I look at him confused.

"A surprise?"

"Yes."

"Whats is it?"

"Why do you think it's called a surprise?"

"But I hate surprises! They fuck my brain up!"

"They what?" He asks.

"They fuck my brain up. Like I would go crazy trying to figure it out." He starts to laugh.

"Then I guess we should go now."

"Ugh! Fine don't tell me! Be all romantic and say nothing!" He playfully rolls his eyes at me and takes our empty frozen yogurt cups and throws them out.

Maxon takes me to the garden. He has a ukulele in his left hand and my hand in the other. He seats me at the stone bench, our bench. He looks nervous.

"Okay so I wrote this song for you, you know 'cause you wrote me one. And um yeah? So um enjoy it I guess." He says nervous. I smile at him.

"Okay go ahead than." He nods.

"There's no way to say this song's about someone else

Someone please pass me my shades" at that part Zeke comes out from behind the bench and throws him some shades. I gasp and then laugh.

"That was beautiful! And very unexpected with the dancing and everything." I say. I kiss Maxon.

"Oh God! Get a room!" Carter says but Marlee jabs him in the side with her elbow.

"Oof!"

"Well we will be going you two enjoy yourselves! Come on guys!" Marlee takes Maxon's ukulele and ushers everyone out and they leave us alone in the garden. It looks like it is going to rain soon.

"I love you America Singer." Maxon whispers in my ear, making me melt like always.

"And I love you Maxon Schreave." He kisses me, and just as the kiss deepens it starts to pour. I part from him and look up.

"We should get going inside!" Maxon takes my hand. I stay and pull him back.

"No, it's beautiful. Let's stay." He chuckles.

"Leave it to you to find beauty in something others would say ruins a day." I blush and pull him in to kiss him. He parts and smiles at me.

"What?" I ask giggling.

"I guess I can now cross off Kiss the girl of my dreams in the middle of a garden while it's raining off my bucketlist." He says with a goofy smile.

"You have a bucketlist?"

"I do now." He kisses me again. But all I can think about is when he said 'girl of my dreams' My thoughts are interrupted when Maxon takes my hands and parts away from me. By now I am soaking wet and I hear thunder.

"May I have this dance my love?" Maxon asks me bowing and I laugh and nod.

"You may."

Okay so it's not done but I wanted to give you guys something. Super sorry for not updating sooner! We were doing Bathroom Renovations this whole weekend and I hardly had much time! Sorry again!
