A different kind of Haven

Summary: As Buffy is standing on the bus terminal, she is looking at her future destinations. She sees a place that makes her think it will be a nice calm, peaceful place to settle in. None other than Haven, Maine.

Previously: As Buffy walked away, Nathan noticed that there was a couple of teenage boys that were staring at Buffy as she walked by them.

"I would look away gentlemen. I know for a fact that she is not interested." Nathan told them in a very protective manner.

It only took Buffy a couple of minutes to get herself in order before she returned to her seat next to her mother.

Just as Buffy sat down, the intercom came on with an announcement from the pilots. "Ladies and Gentlemen. We are going to be starting our decent into LAX momentarily. It is now time for us to request for you to fasten your safety belts and return your chairs into their upright positions. Thank You." The announcement ended.

'Here we go' Buffy thought to herself.

A/N: I am sorry about the delay in chapters. In the near future there will be more chapters coming soon, but I have had a case of writers block and I have been working. I promise to update as frequently as I possibly can. This is my first story and I am looking for any type of feedback. Please let me know with a review if you like the story. Chapter 36

"Thank you for flying with American Airlines. Please be sure to gather all of your belongings before disembarking the Plane. Again, Thank you for flying with American Airlines." The announcement was cut off as the Plane was docked.

As Buffy, Joyce, Nathan, and Giles grabbed all of their belongings to leave the plane, Buffy was hit with a sudden dose of worried nerves.

'Do they really miss me as much as I miss them? Is Mom and Giles telling the truth?' Buffy thought to herself as she began to walk off the plane.

As the group began to make their way through the terminals, Buffy felt a tad bit better once they made it to the place where the visitors can not pass through.

Once they passed the checkpoint, Buffy began to smile one of her thousand watt smiles while looking at a giant poster that stated, 'WELCOME HOME BUFFY! WE MISSED YOU BUNCHES!'.

Buffy couldn't hold it in anymore and began to run towards her friends that were here.

"OMG! Guys what are you doing here? I thought that you guys would be in bed still." Buffy stated as she began to hug Willow, Cordy, Oz, and yes even Xander.

"Hey Buff. I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am that I lied to you. I just figured in my own way that I was helping you to keep your head in the game. I honestly didn't think that the spell that Willow was going to try again was going to work. I didn't want you to strain yourself in the battle trying to save him if there was not chance that it would work. I am just super sorry. Can you please find it in your heart to forgive me Buff?" Xander finished his mini babble with that final question of his.

"I know Xander. I have actually thought about that whole situation for quite a while. I don't think that I could even say that I wouldn't have done the same thing. You were trying to protect me in your own way. I love you my Xander shaped friend." Buffy said, as she engulfed Xander into a giant bear hug.

The group was shaken out of their own world as the rest of the group joined them.

"Hey Buffy, who is the mega hottie tag along?" Cordy ever so tactlessly blurted out, causing Nathan to actually blush slightly.

"OH! Guys, this is actually my brother Nathan. Nathan, this is the Scobby Gang as we like to call ourselves. This is Willow, and this is Xander, and this is Oz..well actually his name is Daniel Osborne, but we like to call him Oz. Anyways, Oz actually dates Willow, and last but not least this is Cordy...well actually it is Cordelia, but we like to call her Cordy. This is the gang. We like to think of ourselves as the Odd Couples." Buffy finished her mini babble, as the present adults were staring at her.

"How about we start to head back to Sunnydale now? Miss. Chase, do you think that it would be alright with you, if you kids gave her a ride to her house, and we will wait on the rental. I do believe that Miss. LeHane and Mr. Price is waiting on us?" Giles asked Cordy.

"Sure. No problem Mr. Giles. It is not a problem, but as soon as I drop her off, I will have to take the rest home too. Are we going to be having a Scooby meeting at the library tomorrow?" Cordy asked the Old librarian.

"Yes, I believe that we are. That way the two young Slayers can also perform a joint training session too. There is little time before Buffy is due back in Maine." Giles stated sadly.

"You mean you are not staying Buff?" Xander asked his friend.

Before Buffy had a chance to answer the question, Joyce stepped in with a rebuttal.

"How about we leave this topic for the meeting tomorrow?" Joyce asked the young teenagers.

"Sure thing Mrs. S. We better get a move on guys. I really need to get back soon." Cordy stated, as all the teens headed towards the parking garage.

"Thank you for the ride Cordy. I really appreciate it. I want you to use this for the parking fee and for gas." Buffy said as she was handing Cordy a fifty dollar bill.

"OMG BUFFY! This is way to much. I didn't even spend that much money on the trip here." Cordy stated, but Buffy was not going to take the money back at all.

All Buffy did in response to Cordy trying to give her the money back was simply shake her head 'No'.

"Are you sure about this?" Cordy asked, just before she agreed to take the money.

Buffy couldn't help her smirk that found it's way to her face at the thought of finally beating Cordy at something. Well knowing that Cordy is a very stubborn girl. Just as much as Buffy herself. 'Maybe that is why it is so hard for us to get along so much? We are way too much alike.' Buffy thought to herself.

"So Buffy, How is it that you found your way all of the way across the country? I personally was thinking that you were in Belgium." Xander stated trying to lift some tension that was in the car.

"Xander, why on Earth would I have gone to Belgium?" Buffy asked her manly best friend.

"I am not really sure, but that is what I thought." Xander said with a chuckle.

Thus causing everyone else to laugh as well.
