The ending of a Nightmare

"Iron dragon dual fangs!" Gajeel spat out as he spread out his arms; they took on the attribute of steel and reshaped into swords. Gajeel gave off a battle cry as he swung his arms closed, Gilbert ducked them with ease. Touching Gajeel on the forearm... It had been such a simple chore because of how wildly he was swinging his fists. How he hated implementing his powers on men like this, they didn't have the greatest scream effect just before their bodies burst into pieces.

A black symbol crawled up Gajeel's forearm as Gilbert hopped back evasive dodging a breath of iron in the process. Gilbert skid to a stop with ease using his left hand to pull his bangs bang out of his face, his right hand extended ready to snap his fingers…

"I don't think so!" a young male's voice echoed from behind the prince. Gilbert's eyes widened a fraction as his right arm dropped to the ground with a soft thud. Gilbert screamed grabbing at his blood soaked amputated arm. Terry whipped his arm back retracting the jagged glass sword causing blood to race off Terry's weapon. Terry readied for another attack as he watched his older sister slide under Gilbert with the use of her ice abilities. When she cleared him she tapped the thin sheet of ice that she was sliding on lightly as she fell into a skidded stop in front of him.

Gilbert out of anger began to stand. He would not be beaten here!

The thin sheet of ice shattered and recollected in her hand, forming a staff. Terri let it dance between her fingers expertly before smacking it lightly to her shoulder as a crescent blade shot out from one end. Giving a pregnant pause as Gilbert raced her way, "Ice guillotine!" she

whispered. A stream of condensation leaving her lips as she whipped the scythe behind Gilbert's neck. Squeezing the hilt tightly in her hand causing the icy hilt to revert back to its water based form. She tugged it back making it jerk the scythe behind her before wiping her arm forward making it now charge in the prince's direction. The blade smacked into the back of Gilbert's neck, flinging him towards her as the once extended scythe retracted back towards her bringing her pray with it.

Terri bunny hopped and dropkicking Gilbert in the face, the sheer force assisting the blade in ripping through his skin and spine. Terri tightened her hand on the hilt causing the liquid hilt to solidify again stopping any further advancement. Gilbert's head dropped to the ground and rolled. Blood that wasn't hers dripped off her cheek as she stared at the corpse with a narrowed eyed gaze.

Terri watched as the body vanished without a trace, "You little bitch!" Gilbert growled from the sky Leo and Capricorn dashed forward with glowing yellow fists. They both leaped each fist hitting either one of the prince's cheeks. Gilbert gave off a screeching scream as the burning pure light touched his skin.

The prince went flying backward, his back hitting a large boulder so hard his body imprinted into its solid surface. Watching as the body vanished Loke swiftly ducked a fury throwing random punches that were aimed to hit him, but never managed to land. Loke blocked a fist with his forearm and was suddenly distracted as he watched the crack lines receding up his arm. Loke's eyes widened, 'Lucy!'

"Block this!" Gilbert snarled leaping back watching as a familiar symbol crawled over Loke's forearm. Gilbert grinned triumphantly as he began to snap his fingers... A loud crash was heard not too far away.

The Spirit King's sword ripped through the ground like butter, ripping off Gilbert's index, middle, ring and pinky fingers in the process.

Aquarius glared touching her hand to Gilbert's back, "I don't like using this… but for you I think I'll make an exception!" she growled out. She gritted her teeth forcing the water within Gilbert's body to rush to his lungs, the water in his body pooled in his lungs slowly making him cough and wheeze. She was suffocating him!

Gilbert began to reach as a last ditch effort to break Aquarius's light hold on him. His pretty baby blue eyes widened when his limbs only twitched at his brain's command, "W-What did *Cough hack* you do to me!" he strained to speak.

Aquarius sneered, "What you don't know? I'm sure you at least suspect right?~" She told him tightening her fist. Aquarius watched as the man flinched painfully, she laughed, "What's wrong little boy? Can dish out pain, but can't take it yourself?" she asked sarcastically her voice dripping with venom.

*Cough* Gilbert kept trying to get any part of his body to move, but nothing worked. All his limbs would do is twitch! "Y-You *Cough* you're using the water *Cough* in my body *Cough Cough*"

"Look at that, you are a smart little pest aren't you?" Aquarius smiled innocently and yet somehow she looked so terrifyingly evil at the same time. Aquarius felt a rush of happiness flood her when she noticed the cracks slowly receding back up her arms and the pain she'd felt slowly slipping away. She watched as Gilbert stopped breathing and he fades away.

Taurus dashed up behind Aquarius grabbing Gilbert's forearm tossing him away from the blue haired spirit whose mind seemed to be elsewhere for the moment. A black magical formula crawled over his arm and Gilbert quickly snapped his fingers detonating it. Taurus roared as his forearm was blown off catching Aquarius's attention.

Gilbert hopped back into a skid as pink smoke and a purple shadow stretched out smashing him in the face. Natsu and Jack stood in the oncoming path where Gilbert had been sent flying backward, Natsu's right arm extended while Jack's left was extended, their backs to each other. Pink bangs tickled at his forehead, "Fire dragons long-sword." Natsu muttered.

"Pierce him, Shadow rapier!" Jack mumbled at the same time as Gilbert crashed into them his body being pierced as both techniques burst into bloom. Natsu and Jack felt their arms run clean through Gilbert's body. They could feel everything, his blood draining from his body, as his breathing slowing, and his heart slowly stopping.

Gilbert's body vanished again… "After this ninth death he will have but one more life, but once he is dead he will be unable to come back this time!" The Spirit King informed them as they eyed the area for Gilbert's next appearance. It was after all only a matter of time before he resurfaced. The Spirit King's gaze drifted to Lucy who was still laying on the ground being healed by the two experienced healers. The two looked exhausted and their 5 minutes were nearly up.

Sagittarius saw Gilbert in the distance and fired off several rounds at him as the Gemini twins wandered off. Virgo hopped vanishing within a hole in the ground while Cancer took off. Cancer quickly snipped Gilbert's hair bald. Then Virgo leaped out of the ground in front of Gilbert as Cancer skid to a stop behind them. Virgo dug her fingers into the edge of the hole changing her body's direction so she could land a powerful kick to Gilbert's jaw.

Gilbert now airborne Taurus grabbed his ax with the only hand he now had and throw it with all his might, sending it spiraling for Gilbert's falling form. He'd been aiming for the guys head, but his ax had caught him in the abdomen instead. It hadn't cut clean through; however, it did leave the evil young man with a considerable amount of damage. Sagittarius quickly took care of that though shooting one of his newly equip elemental fire arrows in between Gilbert's eyes.

They watched him fade away as he dropped to the ground. He vanished leaving Taurus's ax embedded itself into the ground. Taurus panted, his arm still outstretched from throwing his ax. He breathed a sigh of relief, 'T-That makes 9…' he thought still on guard. "Just one more time," Taurus growled out with narrowed eyes.

Upon hearing a strange sound Taurus looked over his shoulder. With a gasp, he dashed for the healers taking care of Lucy watching as Gilbert effortlessly tossed a Squirrel at the girls it's back lit up with that same mark that took his arm. Taurus skid to a stop behind the girls being the barrier from the blast that was soon to come. Sagittarius's arrow whizzed by his face connecting with Gilbert's middle and index finger bending them back to a nearly impossible position. Gilbert screamed!

Lucy suddenly walked passed Taurus's shocked expression with a soft pat on the shoulder. Taurus reached out, "M-Mooait Lucy! Eh…" he paused watching as Lucy bent down allowing the small Squirrel to climb up her shoulder. As she began taking several steps forward Gilbert began to laugh nervously and plead for his life as he took slow steps back.

Taurus stared behind Gilbert with wide eyes as Lucy's hand clapped around Gilbert's neck, "What's wrong?" Lucy asked with a bone-chilling sweetness to it. Gilbert looked at the Lucy walking in front of him to the Lucy behind him, "Going somewhere?~"

Gilbert felt his body go stiff at the aura licking the air around her. He was completely paralyzed! Lucy looked absolutely normal and yet somehow in Gilbert's eyes she looked like an angered beast ready to murder its prey. Gilbert felt another hand land on his shoulder and he quickly turned to the Lucy in front of him, "Gemini…" The one behind him spoke softly yet commanding. The one standing before him nodded before breaking out into a smile.

Two large golden magical circles flickered to life beneath them, "Survey the Heavens, Open The Heavens," Lucy began.

"All the stars, far and wide," Gemini continued from the front as dozens of small orbs clustered around them slowly collected within the air taking on various colors.

Sparks crackled at their feet, "Show me thy appearance," Lucy spoke as their energy's resonance within the air collected causing the small sphere's to grow and pulsate.

"With such shine," Gemini muttered slowly opening its eyes to stare at Gilbert a golden magical circle pattern shining brightly within the transformed twins dark orbs.

"Oh Tetrabiblos," Lucy continued with a pause feeling her hair flicker against her neck, "I am the ruler of the stars…" she added. The orbs began to float towards the spells caster.

Gemini grinned, "Aspect become complete…" the spirit commanded.

"Open thy malevolent gate…" Lucy ordered, both still holding the frightened Gilbert in place. Not that he'd be able to move with the way his legs were shaking because of the ground shaking power gathering within the open air.

Lucy and Gemini spoke in union, "Oh 88 Stars of the heaven," they both paused. Lucy's eyes snapped open the same mirroring magic circle present within her orbs, "Shine!" they yelled out watching as the small orb shifted and flung at the terrified prince, "Urano Metria!" The two added as everything exploded. The area rumbled at the sudden disturbance. The unsettled dust in the air quickly began to settle as Natsu ran into the clouded area unguarded to find Lucy.

He couldn't find her! The smoke began to clear and that's when he found her standing beside Gilbert who was covered in blood and bruises with fearful widened eyes dulled over with death. It was over… It was finally over! The Gemini's transformation reverted and they floated to sit on either of her shoulders to rest. Natsu rushed up to them and tackling Lucy into a tight hug, "You're alright!"

Jack walked over grabbing his knife quickly and stabbed it into Gilbert's head. Natsu turned to Jack in confusion about those sudden unnecessary actions while Lucy rested against him, "What are you do…"

"Freeze!" Natsu's eyes widened at the Rune Knight's presence. They'd surrounded them.

'Oh, crap!' Natsu thought grabbing Lucy getting ready to run, but she stopped him. Reminding him that if they'd showed themselves it meant that there were Rune's all around them and they wouldn't be able to get away anyways. Natsu held her closer, 'Shit! She was the one that killed him!'

A hand reached out for Lucy as they notified her she would have to come with them. Natsu growled slapping the hand away and pulled Lucy behind him, 'Over my dead…'

"It wasn't her. It was me." Jack stepped forward retrieving his knife from Gilbert's skull as he held up his hands he allowed the bloody knife to drop to the ground.

'W-What the hell are you doing sir?' Warren asked Telepathically.

'Making up for my sins.' Jack replied back as a Rune Knight rushed up to him and cuffed his arms behind him. 'It's time I pay for all of my crimes.' he finished before the Rune Knight's began walking away with him reading him his rights.

Natsu stared at Jack's back…

"Wait, young man… Allow me! Besides… I don't have someone to go home to; you do."

"Old man!" Natsu yelled out causing Jack to twitch in annoyance as he glanced over his shoulder for some reason very certain the boy was addressing him. "Thank you… for everything," Natsu told him tightening his hold on Lucy. Jack just turned back around with a small smile and kept walking.
