In Hiding Time
Miku's House
Mila grunted in surprise at the sudden action taken by the young God and in front of his father at that. He held her close to him as they appeared somewhere she didn't recognize at first. She looked around the area when he released his tight hold on her. "Where is this…?" she asked slowly. She then realized that it was her old human house from before she went to the vampire village. "Where…?"
"The house that you lived in with your mother before you met me Mila…" he said in a faint voice.
"Mgh… it's changed…" Miku said in Mila's mind.
"This is Miku's old house…?" Mila asked him. Gakupo didn't answer the question as he touched her forehead with his forefinger and middle finger.
"I'm sorry Mila… but I don't want you hurt at my father's hands…" he said in a low voice. He used a small spell that took her memories of him from her giving her back her human life. "I'm sorry… Miku…" He turned to leave the room when a woman came into the room from the kitchen. It was her mother, Maria. Mila quickly let Miku take over so not to alarm the woman.
"Miku!" the woman said happily. She ran up to her daughter and hugged her tightly.
"Mom…?" Miku asked somewhat lost. Gakupo melted into the shadows, sadness in his blue eyes. Her mother had seen him standing there though.
"Huh? Who was that man with you?" she asked her daughter. Miku looked confused by the question considering she didn't remember who he was.
"What man?" she asked.
"The man that was next to you."
"Maybe he was my guardian angel?" Miku said.
"Maybe…" her mother said slowly. Gakupo closed his eyes as tears slid down his pale cheeks. Maria hugged her daughter even tighter against her chest. Miku looked into the corner where Gakupo was and saw light blue eyes peering out of the shadows at her. She narrowed her eyes suspiciously. Gakupo didn't move but remained where he was. She shook her head, pulled out of her mother's arms, and walked to her room. Turning into shadows Gakupo followed her silently. When she had gotten into her room, she started to take off her clothes. He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw this. She opened one of her drawers and took out shorts and a tank top. Her mom went to bed as Miku got dressed in her nighttime clothing. Gakupo gave a sad sigh before he disappeared from the room for good.
