Epilogue
"Babe?" I hear Bo call out from downstairs as I pull our daughter out of her crib, "I'm home."
"Hey! I'm up here." I say back and cradle Evie in my arms. "Mama's home. You ready to see mama?" I coo at her as she smiles.
As much as Bo and I wanted wanted to have children of our own that was biologically impossible. So instead we decided to adopt. It wasn't a real hard choice actually. We went to a local orphanage and when we saw little Evie and she smiled at us, well she had won our hearts. We adopted her about three months ago and she was settling in just fine.
"There you are." Bo says and sits her briefcase down at the baby room door. "How are my two favorite girls?" she gives me a quick kiss and lifts Evie out of my arms. "Huh, you've been good for mommy and the babysitter?"
"She had a fever earlier today so the babysitter gave her some medicine." I pout and fix her shirt. "How was work?"
Bo shrugs, "Closed a case this morning, got a new one this afternoon. Same old same old." she kisses Evie and rocks her around, "How about you? How was work?"
I shrug, "Heart transplant and delivered a few babies."
"Oh wow that's big, I bet you did outstanding? Isn't that right Evie?" she coos, "Isn't mommy outstanding? Yes she is!" Evie laughs and grabs at Bo's hair.
I smile wide as I watch Bo and Evie, "All went well, Kenzi flew back in today."
Bo smiles widely back at me, "Is she in the crashpad?"
I nod and chuckle, "Yeah, I'll call her and tell her you're home."
"Don't forget Tamisn and her new girlfriend are coming over for dinner."
"Got it covered babe." I smile and skip down the stairs.
Tamsin and I have gotten really close over the past five years since she told me who she was. She was literally the perfect big sister anyone could ask for. I was happy that she had found happiness in Sara, well until she found out that Sara was trying to get in my pants. Bo or Tamisn didn't take that to well to say the least. A year later she has met Chloe, they seemed good together from what Tamisn tells us, and I hope to god that she won't get her heart broken again. She told us that they met while she was helping a friend out on a case. At forty I know she was getting to that point were you just disappear off the market so I'm glad she found someone again.
Kenzi on the other hand was still with Hale going strong. They were engaged and due to get married in about two months. She travels from California to Illinois every weekend now that she has her own company. Which from what I hear was going great and now sponsoring different celebrities and athletes. We were all so proud of her for living out her dream.
As for the rest of our family well, they only come around when we have family dinners once a month or we call to see how they are. That suits us just fine. Really and truly I think all Bo and I needed was each other, Evie, Kenzi, and Tamisn. Everything and everybody else didn't really matter.
And to think, if I hadn't met Bo and we hadn't been through the hell that we had we may not have any of this. I wouldn't have my family and I thank fate for sending her to me because without Bo there was no me, and that my friends is a fact.
A/N: This chapter was pretty short but I just wanted to get a look into how things are going for everyone. Sadly we must say goodbye to this story. I actually feel the need to cry because I love this story so much, but all good thugs but come to an end. I'll still be writing different stories so no worried there. Thank you all so very much for supporting my ideas, you have no idea how much that means to me. I love you guys!
