Chapter 37: The truth.
(Sorry it's such a bad chapter name but I couldn't think of anything else.)
*MAGNUS' P.O.V.*
Alec looks at me in disbelief for a few minutes before finally saying
"Really?" I nod.
"Yes Alexander, really." I say.
"And, you're not joking?" He asks. I can't believe he thinks I would joke about something as serious as this.
"Of course not Alexander!" I say.
"Are you really sure about this?" He asks. I nod.
"Yes, I've thought this through for a few months now and I know I'll never want to be with someone else after you. I love you more than anything and I wouldn't be able to go on without you." I say. Alec smiles broadly and crashes his lips to mine. I'm taken by surprise but happily kiss him back.
A few minutes later when he pulls back he's still smiling broadly.
"Magnus ever since we started dating I've wanted nothing more than to spend my whole life with you, and for us to grow old together. And now that it's coming true I couldn't be happier!" He says. I smile; I knew he would be elated.
"I love you Alexander." I say. Alec smiles.
"I love you too. Are you...scared or nervous about becoming mortal?" He asks. I'm very nervous, I don't know why, but I am. But I know Alec will help me through the process and it'll all be worth it in the end.
"A little bit nervous." I admit.
"I'll be with you, holding your hand, every step of the way. And I'll be by your side forever, I promise." He says. I smile broadly; I don't know how I got so lucky as to have the amazing person that is my Alec, my fiancé, in my life.
"Thank you Alec, I love you so much." I say. Alec kisses me.
"I love you too." He says.
This is great, like I said, I'm nervous, but I know everything will turn out alright in the end.
*ISABELLE'S P.O.V.*
"Do you think we should have another baby after Lily?" I ask Simon as we lay in bed looking at our latest scan picture.
"Yeah but not straight away, maybe wait a year or 2." Simon says.
"Yeah, I agree." I say. I look down at my stomach and sigh at how big I am.
"I can't believe I'm only five months, almost six." I say.
"You look a lot more." Simon says. I smack him on the head. "Are you saying I'm fat?" I ask, as Simon rubs his head.
"Ow. No! No of course not, you're beautiful Izzy! You're just..." He trails off.
"Just what?" I ask.
"Just perfect." He says. I smile; I can never stay mad at Simon.
"You're lucky I love you so much or I would've killed you 2 minutes ago." I say. Simon smiles and kisses me. I look into Simon's chocolate brown eyes for a few minutes. There's a hint of sadness in them that wasn't there when I first met him. I know it's because his mother completely freaked out when she found out he's a vampire. Shortly before I got pregnant Simon had to leave his home and his mom because she found out he's a vampire. It's been so hard on him, becoming a vampire and having to leave his family, but he's coping really well. I suddenly get an idea that would make Simon happy.
"Simon?" I whisper.
"Yeah?" He asks.
"I know we said Lily's middle name will be 'Phoebe' after my grandma but I have someone else I think we should name her after." I say.
"Who is it Iz?" He asks.
"You're mom, Elaine." I say. Simon smiles weakly.
"Izzy, do you really mean it? Because we can call her 'Lily Phoebe' if you want." He says, resting his hand on my bump.
I nod.
"Yeah Si, I really mean it." I say. He smiles and kisses me.
"Thank you so much Izzy. I love you and Lily so, so much." He says and kisses me. I smile.
He pushes my shirt up and kisses my belly.
"Hey baby girl, you know we're very lucky to have your mommy, she's going to take such great care of you. She's the most amazing person in the world. I love you both so much baby girl." He says, and kisses my belly.
I suddenly feel a thump in my belly. I gasp and look at Simon.
He has a look of complete amazement on his face.
"Did she just kick?" Simon asks. I feel the thump again and a lump rises and falls across my belly.
"She did! We just felt our little girl kick!" I exclaim.
Simon smiles broadly as Lily kicks his hand.
"That's amazing!" He says.
I smile broadly as Simon starts kissing my belly again and talking to Lily.
I can't wait to see Simon with Lily; he's going to be an amazing dad.
*CLARY'S P.O.V.*
I smile as Jace plays with Jack as we lay on the bed in our room in the institute.
Jace has Jack sitting on his chest and is holding his arms.
Jace covers his eyes with Jack's hands.
"Where'd daddy go?" He coos. A minute later he takes Jack's hands from his face. "Here I am!" he says.
Jack smiles and giggles.
Jace does this a few more times and Jack giggles each time.
My phone suddenly starts to ring, and like when I was pregnant, Jack goes crazy.
His eyes go wide and he smiles broadly at Jace and giggles.
Jace smiles and laughs as I answer the phone.
"Hello?" I answer.
"Hey honey, it's me." Mom says.
"Oh hey mom, is everything alright?" I ask.
"Oh yes everything's fine, your dad and I where just wondering if you Jace and Jack would like to meet us for dinner at Taki's, Magnus, Alec, Izzy, Simon, Jonathan, Maryse and Robert are going to be there as well. We have to tell you all something very important." She says.
"Yeah we'd love to! What time?" I ask.
"Is 6 O'clock alright?" She asks.
"Yeah that's perfect." I say.
"Alright sweetie, see you there." Mom says.
"Ok, bye." I say and hang up. "We're meeting mom and dad for dinners at Taki's in two hours. They have something to tell us, the others will be there too." I tell Jace.
"Ok." He says.
*2 HOURS LATER*
When Jace and I walk into Taki's with Jack we see Magnus, Alec and Jonathan are already here.
We walk over and I sit beside Magnus.
"Hey guys." I say, taking Jack out of his carrier, and handing him to Magnus who hasn't seen him in a few days.
"Everyone else should be here soon." Mom says. I nod.
*10 minutes later*
Everyone is here now and mom and dad are about to tells us their news.
"Alright. As you all know we have some good news to share with you." Dad says. Mom smiles.
"Tell us already!" Jonathan says impatiently. Mom laughs and rests her hand on her stomach.
"I'm pregnant." She says
Ok so I know it's not the best chapter but I thought it was alright, I know the ending is kinda weird but oh well I felt it was ok.
Oh ps. I know in the books Simon's mom finds out he's a vampire well into COFA but let's just say, for the sake of this story that it happened when I said it did.
