Chapter 36
Unwavering Love
"Come on seriously" Jess sighed as she smacked on the door in front of her again. "Kacey come on" Jess sighed as she smacked her head on the door with a sigh as Emily walked up to her and placed her hand on Jess's shoulder and squeezed.
"She not up yet?" Emily asked as Jess shook her head before smacking the door again.
"No and she is ignoring her phone as well" Jess stated as she frowned. "I wanted us all to go to Abby's room together as a group" Jess sighed.
"Hey" Becker smiled as he spotted Jess and Emily outside his and Kacey's room.
"Don't hey me. Why the hell is your girlfriend not opening the door?" Jess asked glaring at Becker making Emily laugh as Becker smiled shaking his head.
"Maybe because she is not in there... she went for a walk early this morning and she bumped into Abby who couldn't sleep so Kacey went back to Abby's room with her" Becker smiled as Jess gaped at him as Emily tried to hide her smile.
"You mean to tell me I have been standing here for 20 minutes banging on this door and she is not even in there" Jess asked making Becker laugh as he nodded his head.
"Afraid so Jess" Becker smiled as he opened the door as Jess sighed before grabbing Emily hand and leading them down the hall as Becker chuckled to himself before closing the door so he could get dressed to meet Matt, Connor and Abby's brother Jack.

Kacey jumped up as heard a knock on Abby's door. Abby was in the shower. Kacey smiled as she spotted Jess and Emily but stopped when she noticed Jess frowning.
"What's wrong?" Kacey asked worrying something had gone wrong.
"You couldn't have told us you were already with Abby?" Jess asked raising her eyebrow as Kacey frowned. "I just spent 20 minutes knocking on your door" Jess pouted making Kacey smile slightly.
"Sorry I left my phone in the room" Kacey pouted looking at Jess making her laugh before hugging Kacey.
"I forgive you thousands wouldn't" Jess smiled as she sat down on the bed as Emily sat on one of the chairs by the little table in the room.
"Abby in the shower?" Emily asked as she heard the running water.
"Yea, she was awake early so she thought she would have an early shower" Kacey smiled before yawning herself. "Sorry didn't get much sleep myself last night" Kacey smiled as Jess got distracted by the bridesmaid dresses. "Not been feeling that great lately, I think I'm coming down with something" Kacey sighed as Emily frowned.
"Is the baby keeping Abby wake?" Jess asked not hearing Kacey's last remark.
"Yea, I think the baby is playing apart in it" Kacey smiled as Jess nodded happily.
"I can't believe she is 7½ months pregnant. It seems like only yesterday she told us when she was 5 weeks" Jess smiled as Kacey nodded before she looked at Emily who was frowning at Kacey. "Emily?" Jess asked making Emily look up as Kacey also turned to look at her before she looked back at Kacey.
"Sorry I was spacing for a minute" Emily smiled as Jess frowned as Emily sighed. "Me and Matt noticed Kacey... you have been off colour for a few weeks now" Emily sighed as Jess turned to look at Kacey as well.
"I'm fine you guys are starting to sound like Abby, Connor and Becker they have been on at me non stop. I feel tired but other than that I feel fine, still eating the same and everything it's properly just my body get used to London from Portland" Kacey smiled as Jess frowned looking at Kacey closely.
"Actually you have lost weight" Jess sighed looking at Kacey critically. "But at the same time you haven't" Jess sighed shaking her head as Abby walked out the shower to see Jess and Emily staring at Kacey.
"How comes you guys are staring at Kacey?" Abby asked pulling all the attention towards herself making Kacey sigh in relief as Emily and Jess both advert their attention to the woman who was set to walk down the aisle in less than 3 hours.
"We were just talking about her being under the weather" Jess smiled as Abby frowned looking Kacey over before smirking.
"Yes well she knows my theory on her condition" Abby smiled as Kacey shook her head quickly.
"I'm not. I would know!" Kacey stated standing up angrily as Jess and Emily turned to Abby with raised eyebrows.
"I think she's pregnant" Abby smiled as both Jess and Emily looked gobsmacked.
"I'm not. I have been feeling like this for weeks, I had my period 2 weeks ago. I'm not pregnant. I'm having a shower" Kacey sighed shaking her head before going into the bathroom.
"She knows you can still get your period whilst pregnant right?" Jess asked as Abby nodded as Emily just frowned.
"What made you come to that decision?" Emily asked looking at Abby who smiled before rubbing her stomach.
"A few things really" Abby sighed sitting down on the bed as Jess and Emily sat either side of her. "She has lost weight but she doesn't look like she has, her boobs have gotten bigger and the other day Connor was messing about when he was in Kacey's office and he threw something at her it hit her on the chest she yelp as her chest was sore" Abby sighed shaking her head. "I think she is scared to even consider it" Abby smiled as Emily stood up and walked to the door.
"I will be back in a minute" Emily smiled before leaving as Jess looked at Abby who was staring at the bathroom door.
"Does Becker and Connor know your theory/" Jess asked nodding to the bathroom door.
"No" Abby exclaimed staring at Jess as if she had a second head. "Its her place to tell them if she is or isn't" Abby sighed as the door opened and Kacey walked out with a towel wrapped around her head and her pyjamas back on. "Hey feeling a bit better?" Abby asked as Kacey sighed as she sat down on the chair where Emily had been sitting.
"Yea a little. Where's Emily gone?" Kacey asked looking at Abby then to Jess as they both shrugged their shoulders.
"She said she would be back in a minute" Jess smiled as she looked Kacey up and down before looking back at Abby making as Kacey frowned.
"Seriously Abby. I'm not pregnant" Kacey sighed as she hit her head on the table. "I haven't had any cravings and I haven't had any morning sickness. The only symptom I have had is sore breasts. Which I properly had from sleeping the wrong way during the night" Kacey sighed as Abby just smiled. "Stop smiling at me" Kacey sighed turning away from both Jess and Abby as they were both grinning.
"Why are you so convinced that you are not pregnant?" Jess asked looking at Kacey who frowned.
"Because its crazy. We have only been together 10 nearly 11 months, it's too soon" Kacey sighed shaking her head before looking back at Abby and Jess. "But it doesn't matter because I'm not pregnant" Kacey sighed as Jess jumped up at the knock on the door as Abby watched Kacey with a slight frown.
"Where did you go exactly?" Jess asked as Emily walked back in to the room with a small smile on her face.
"I had to get something" Emily smiled as she spotted Kacey in her first seat before sitting next to Abby again.
"Your afraid he wouldn't want a baby" Abby stated making Kacey look at her as Emily and Jess both frowned at Abby. "That's why you are trying to avoid this. You think Becker wont want a baby" Abby stated as Kacey shook her head before looking away.
"Kacey?" Emily asked standing up and bending down so she was eye level with Kacey as she watched tears flow from her eyes.
"Like I said we have only been together 10 months, I'm only 25 his in his late 20's. He ain't going want a baby yet even if I am pregnant" Kacey sighed shaking her head.
"Well why panic about something you don't have too" Emily smiled before handing her a box. "Me and Matt have been trying for the past few months, I think you need this more than me" Emily smiled as Kacey took in the clear blue box in her hand. "I also passed your room on the way back Becker is still in there... he should be with you when you do that" Emily smiled as Abby nodded her head.
"We have got Abby, we will order breakfast for us all including you but you should do that now" Jess smiled at the thought of another baby.
"What if.." Kacey started but Emily stopped her with a small smile.
"Becker loves you" Emily smiled before helping Kacey to her feet. "Go talk him and take the test already" Emily smiled pushing her lightly out the door as Jess laughed before grabbing the menu.

Kacey sighed as she placed her key in her rooms lock before entering to see Becker's suit laid out on the bed meaning he was still here. Kacey placed her key and the box down on the side before walking over to the bed.
"Hey, what you doing back here?" Becker smiled coming out the bathroom with just a towel around his waist making Kacey gulp as she watched a bead of water trace down the side of his face before dripping on his chest. Kacey tried not to panic before he walked over and hugged her close before kissing her making her calm down slightly. "You ok?" Becker asked as Kacey sighed before grabbing his hand and making him sit on the bed as far way from his pressed suit.
"Ok" Kacey sighed as he sat down frowning as he watched Kacey wring her hands nervously. "Abby's been on at me for weeks but I have been fighting her on it because I don't know how to approach this" Kacey sighed as she pulled her hands through her hair.
"Kace?" Becker sighed standing up and grabbing her hands to stop her jumpy movements. "What's wrong?" Becker asked framing her face making her sigh.
"Abby thinks I'm pregnant" Kacey whispered watching as Becker froze. "Say something please" Kacey whispered as Becker gulped.
"Are you?" Becker asked his voice barely there as Kacey shrugged.
"Emily has given me a test" Kacey sighed shaking her head. "I haven't taken it yet" Kacey sighed as Becker took a deep breath before noticing the tears in Kacey's eyes.
"I love you" Becker whispered before kissing her lightly on the lips. "No matter what that test says nothing is going to change that" Becker smiled before kissing her.
"Ok" Kacey whispered before pulling away and going to grab the test before looking at Becker before going into the bathroom. Becker sighed as he sat down on the bed bemused he didn't know how to get his head around the fact Kacey could be pregnant. Becker looked up as Kacey walked back into the room and placed the test on bedside table before sitting next to him. Becker pulled her into his arms as she placed her head on his shoulder.
"How long until the test is ready?" Becker asked as Kacey sighed.
"Three minutes" Kacey sighed as Becker set the alarm on his watch before he pulled her closer as he closed his eyes trying to work out which way he wanted the results to be. Kacey sighed as the alarm blared from Becker's watch making them pull away and look at the test before Kacey grabbed it and turned it around.
"Wow" Becker sighed as he read the digital display at the same time as Kacey who was just staring at the screen. "Were having a baby" Becker whispered as tears appeared in Kacey's eyes.
"You want the baby?" Kacey whispered and turning to look at Becker making him frown.
"That's why you have been trying to skip around this... you were afraid of my reaction" Becker whispered as Kacey cried making Becker pull her as close as possible. Kacey ended up straddling his waist. "I love you. I never want to lose you and yea I'm not sure how I'm going to react down the line" Becker sighed pulling back so he could look Kacey in the eye. "But I can't to wait to see a mini one of us walking around" Becker whispered before kissing her soundly. "Were having a baby" Becker whispered as Kacey cried before hugging him as close as possible.
"Were having a baby" Kacey whispered with tears in her eyes. "I love you" Kacey sighed as she rested her head on his shoulder.
"I love you too" Becker sighed as he rested their foreheads against each other. "You know the girls are going to be on you when you go back?" Becker smiled as Kacey giggled as she nodded her head.
"I know" Kacey sighed as she rested her head on his shoulder with a small smile.
"It's up to you if you want to tell them" Becker sighed as he kissed her head before smiling as she smiled at him.
"They are our family I don't want to keep it from them" Kacey smiled as Becker nodded his head. "Plus that means you get to tell the guys" Kacey grinned as Becker frowned.
"You want me to tell your brother on his wedding day that I got his baby sister pregnant?" Becker asked gaping at Kacey making her smile at him sweetly. "Why cant I say no to you?" Becker sighed as Kacey grinned before kissing him quickly before standing up.
"I'll see you downstairs in just over 2 hours" Kacey smiled as she left the room making Becker sigh before flopping back on the bed.
…
"So?" Abby asked being the one to open the door making Kacey grin as Abby pulled her into the room.
"Let her breath" Emily laughed looking at Abby before laughing at the bemused expression on Kacey's face.
"Ok you really need to tell us" Jess sighed looking at Kacey making Emily roll her eyes as Kacey just laughed and shook her head.
"Who said I want to tell you guys?" Kacey asked grinning making Jess and Abby pout as Emily laughed making Kacey laugh as well.
"Oh come on put us out of our misery" Abby pouted making Kacey laugh before shaking her head.
"Fine" Kacey grinned making them all hold their breaths before squealing as they watched Kacey place her hand over her stomach before smiling at them. "I'm pregnant" Kacey smiled as Abby hugged her happily before starting to cry as Emily and Jess hugged Kacey.
"Sorry hormones" Abby cried as Kacey laughed before hugging her again as they all laughed.
….
Becker sighed as he walked into the lobby to find Connor, Matt and Jack waiting for him.
"What took so long?" Connor asked raising his eyebrow as Becker opened his mouth then closed it silently making Connor and Matt raise their eyebrows.
"You ok Mate?" Matt asked as Becker nodded before looking at Connor.
"Kacey came back to the room" Becker answered finally as Connor frowned.
"Is she feeling ill?" Connor asked starting to actually worry about his sister.
"Um, yea about that. She's not ill she took the test before she went back to the girls" Becker sighed shaking his head as he was still trying to wrap his head around the fact he was going to be a dad.
"What test?" Matt asked confused before looking at Connor and Jack to see if they were following but from the frowns he was getting they obviously had no idea what he was talking about.
"The one Emily gave her" Becker replied still in a trance making Matt's eyebrow raise as he knew there was only one test that Emily could give Kacey. Matt grinned as he realised what Becker was trying to tell them.
"Ok what's going on... Matt why are you grinning?" Connor asked looking at a grinning Matt before looking at Becker who looked to be shock.
"I'm going to be a dad" Becker whispered saying it for the first time out loud making him pale which made Matt laugh as Jack covered his mouth to hide his grin as Connor looked like someone had struck him with lightning.
"My.. My sis... sister's preg..pregnant?" Connor whispered in shock before looking at Becker who nodded mutely making Connor smile.
"I don't know how to be a dad" Becker whispered finally looking at them all.
"Join the gang" Connor laughed before hugging Becker who was still frozen making him laugh harder. "I'm getting married having a baby in just over a month and I'm going to be an Uncle" Connor laughed as the joy swept fully over him.
"Congrats mate" Matt smiled as he patted Becker's shoulder making Becker come back to his sense's slightly.
"I can do this right?" Becker asked making Connor and Matt look at him as Jack stood back knowing not to get involved in this conversation no matter how much time he had been spending with everyone Abby worked with he knew he wasn't part of their group.
"If I can then so can you" Connor smiled as Becker nodded his head as he looked at Matt who smiled.
"This baby as well as Ab's and Connor's baby is going to be born into the biggest family going, you guys will be fine" Matt smiled as Becker nodded before shaking his head as he looked at Connor who was just grinning at him.
"You are really freaking out about this baby thing" Connor grinned as Becker rolled his eyes.
"Ok enough about me let's go and get everything ready" Becker sighed as Connor nodded his head as they all headed out the hotel into the grounds to where the ceremony would be taking place.
….
"You have to be kidding?" Kacey whispered as Emily again tried to do the zip up on the back of Kacey's dress but they were having a little trouble. Abby was in the bathroom with Jess having her make up done.
"Kacey how long have you been feeling off?" Emily asked as she released the dress quickly as she noticed it.
"I don't know a couple of months why?" Kacey asked as she tried not to cry not seeing Emily staring at her stomach.
"I think it's slightly longer than that, you have a small baby bump" Emily whispered in awe when Kacey was wearing clothes you couldn't see it but now she was in just her underwear you could see it.
"Crap... how am I going to fit my dress?" Kacey whispered as Jess and Abby came out the room but stopped with a frown as they noticed Emily in her dress but Kacey in just her underwear.
"What's wrong?" Jess asked looking from Kacey to Emily. Emily just shook her head and pointed to Kacey's belly making them both look before gasping as they also noticed the small baby bump with smiles on their faces.
"Stop smiling about the bump the dress doesn't fit because of it" Kacey sighed as she thread her fingers through her hair as Jess gaped.
"Your not that big did you guy stretch the elastic at the side to max?" Jess asked looking at Emily before looking at Kacey.
"What elastic?" Emily asked looking at the dress making Jess roll her eyes.
"Kacey come here" Jess smiled taking the dress from Emily before helping Kacey step into it before fiddling with something on the seam at the hip before holding the dress up and starting to pull the zip up but stopping as it got to her chest. "Breath in" Jess laughed making Kacey frown before doing and it Jess gave one last tug. "There you are in. You can breathe ok right? Jess asked as Kacey nodded as she rearranged her boobs which were starting to hurt now the dress was on.
"You going to be ok in it?" Abby asked biting her lip knowing how uncomfortable tight clothing is around your boobs when you were pregnant.
"It's only a few hours, I think I can survive it" Kacey sighed as she took a deep breath in before looking in the mirror reflection.
"See your baby bump as disappeared again" Abby smiled before smiling down at hers. "That's a neat trick don't think I will be able to get away with it" Abby smiled as she rested her hand on her baby bump.
"You think?" Kacey laughed as she turned to look at Abby shaking her head. "I would be worried if you could hide your bump at 7 ½ months" Kacey laughed as Abby nodded her head.
"Ok, we are all dressed that only leaves you Abs" Emily smiled as Abby sighed before smiling as she looked around at them all.
"Lets get this thing going then" Abby smiled making Kacey laugh as she shook her head at Abby.
…
"There you are done" Jess smiled as she placed the veil on Abby's head before smiling as she backed up to look at Abby fully.
"There is just one thing missing..." Kacey smiled as she walked over to her bag before pulling out a box making Abby frown. "You remember not long after we got to the UK Lester told me and Connor that our Mother's mum was still alive?" Kacey sighed as Abby nodded mutely. "Well Lester talked me and Connor into going and seeing her. It was great we got a look into what our mother was like and kind of have a connection to her, she died a few weeks later due to a genitive heart defect" Kacey sighed as Abby nodded with tears in her eyes.
"Yes I remember you and Connor went to the funeral" Abby sighed as she remembered the day Connor and Kacey got the news that their biological grandmother had died.
"At the funeral her doctor came to talk to us... she had been getting progressively worse for years but she kept fighting her disease because she refused to let go whilst the case of her daughter and grandkid's was still unsolved" Kacey smiled sadly as tears appeared in her eyes. "After the funeral me and Connor were contacted by her lawyer she had left everything to me and Connor as our mother was an only child and we were her only relatives. This arrived with a letter" Kacey smiled as she looked at the box in her hands. "In the letter it stated that this had been passed down through the last five generations of the Collins bloodline and now it had passed to me" Kacey smiled before opening it up so Abby, Jess and Emily could see it, inside sat a beautiful cluster of diamonds on a silver chain. "Every wedding that has taken place in the Collins family line for the last 200 years the bride has worn this. As you are marrying my brother it's your turn" Kacey smiled as Abby shook her head.
"I can't that's belongs to you" Abby smiled as she shook her head.
"Yes and I will wear it on my wedding day and when if either of us has any girls they can wear it at their wedding" Kacey smiled as tears appeared in Abby's eyes as she nodded. "So turn around" Kacey laughed as Abby did as she said so Kacey could place the necklace around her neck. "There now you are done" Kacey smiled as Abby laughed with tears in her eyes as she took the necklace in before hugging Kacey as tightly as she could.
"I'm so lucky to be getting the best sister-in-law ever" Abby smiled as the others laughed as Kacey nodded.
"Well I can't believe the family I have been given either" Kacey smiled as she looked at Abby before looking at Jess and Emily as they both smiled before they gathered around in a group hug.
"Come on let's get this wedding under way" Jess smiled as she pulled away before walking over to the bed were a large box lay. Jess opened it and pulled out hers, Emily's and Kacey's bouquet before grabbing the large one and handing it over to Abby with a smile before they all headed over towards the door with smiles on their faces.

Kacey smiled as she made her way down the aisle before winking at her brother who blew her a kiss before she grinned at Becker who was smiling at her making her smile harder before she took her place at the front next to Emily who was the first to walk down the aisle. As she got to the front she looked around the gathered people over on Connor's side she spotted Connor's adoptive parents and brother who had all happily welcomed her in their family and she had become pretty close to them. On Abby's side she had only met Jack her brother who was giving her away. Abby's mum sat at the front smiling sadly making Kacey frown before shaking the thought away behind them sat most of the ARC. Lester sat in the second row behind Abby's mum with his wife making Kacey smile. Mrs Lester was a force to be reckoned with and she was pretty fond of the middle aged woman as was everyone else in the ARC. Kacey looked up as Jess joined her and Emily just as the music changed and Abby started down the aisle on Jack's arm passing a crowd that were in awe over how beautiful she looked in her white wedding dress that was A-line, it had thin white straps that attached to the heart shaped bust line which gather under her chest then flowed freely to the floor encasing her baby bump but not drawing to much attention to it.
Jack kissed Abby's cheek as they reached the front before giving her hand to Connor before he turned and took his seat next to his mum.
"Welcome everyone" smiled the female official as she looked out over the congregation in front of her. "Marriage is about bringing two life's together as one in front of their love ones. Even small families can grow by giving their love away to others" Kacey smiled as she listened to the woman. "Marriage is a contract not to entered into lightly but after spending some time with this couple I can tell that they already know of this. So before I carry on any further, does anyone present know of any reason whilst these two should not be married?" She asked smiling as she looked at the silent crowd before turning back to Connor and Abby. "Marriage is an eternal bond and should never be broken, love between the two making the vow should be unwavering. Life isn't always easy and straightforward it has complicated twist and turns but having a partner to navigate it all helps to ease the burden" Kacey smiled as she looked over at Becker who was standing next to Connor at the alter. Yes life definitely was messy but as Kacey looked around everyone that made up her family she realised as long as they stuck together they would all make it through. Kacey smiled to herself as she laid her hand on her stomach.
