Chapter 37 New Beginnings Part Two

Logan's POV

The tour was awesome. We had the best audience ever and it was fun standing on the stage singing and performing songs. But not everything was that good. Occasionally, we had panic attacks, anxiety attacks and nightmares. That was okay. We had each other and knew how to deal with it. But then there were those crazy stalkerish fans. I mean I know only a few behave that way, but it was still hard, when they chased us through the whole town. When we stayed in Rio de Janeiro for a night, we found after the concert one of our 'fans' lying on our hotel bed. Needless to say that I didn't sleep well that night.

Even though it was an epic time, I was glad when we were back home again. There was still a week left until the baby would come. And we had a lot of things to do. On the first day, we met with Gustavo and a real estate agent. While we were on tour, Gustavo instructed her to search for two houses next to each other. One for James and Carlos and one for Kendall and me. It was hard for her to find perfect houses next to each other, but in the end she did. The houses had both two floors and a basement. They were spacious, but not overwhelmingly big. The neighborhood was green and quiet with good schools nearby.

»But how are we going to pay for this? «, I asked kind of desperate.

I was already in love with the house, but I didn't know if our money would be enough for this. Gustavo and Kelly only smiled and said:

»Don't worry. Griffin is paying for one house and I am paying for the other. «

For a moment we looked shocked at them, before all four of us included them in a big group hug.

~Time Skip~

We used the next day for catching up with Victoria. She was heavily pregnant now and really moody.

»I'll be glad when he is out. My feet are hurting, my back is hurting, I always have to pee and I look like a whale. «

Then her face lit up.

»I have a surprise for you two. Or your moms have. «

Oddly enough, we drove to our house again. She led us upstairs into one of the rooms. Yesterday, we've already seen that a big part of the house was painted and furnished in the way we liked (our moms did it of course) and it was the same with James and Carlos house. What we didn't see, was this one particular room. All over the room was furniture for the baby: a bed, a closet and a changing table for him.

»You need to put it together and paint the room of course, but…«

»It's great! «, Kendall exclaimed.

I nodded in agreement.

On the next morning, we took James and Carlos and went out. At first we bought paint and paintbrushes and all the other stuff we needed. At first we painted the walls of the future nursery in a light green. While James and Carlos put the furniture together, Kendall and I put some motives onto the walls. On one wall we painted a large tree with different animals around and on the tree. The opposite wall, where the crib would stand got some lions and llamas chasing each other. James and Carlos cooed when they saw Kendall's and mine painting. After the paint dried we moved the furniture to its right places.

»We need to go shopping tomorrow. «, I told Kendall, who nodded.

»Let's do that tomorrow. «

~Time Skip~

We didn't go shopping the next day. Because after breakfast we were surprised by friends and family, who made a baby shower for us. We got a load of baby clothes, toys, a bath for babies and a lot of other stuff for our son.

After the baby shower was over and Kendall and I were done thanking everyone, we drove our gifts to the house and put it away. But then we had to go shopping nonetheless. We bought all the other stuff we needed and didn't get: diapers, wet wipes, formula for milk, pacifiers and we saw a few pieces of baby clothing we liked and bought. On our way to the checkout, I saw two really cute stuffed animals: a llama and a lion matching the paintings on the wall.

The only thing we did during the next days was packing our belongings and moved to the new house. Otherwise, we spent a lot of time with the guys and we visited Victoria, who was already in the hospital. Just in case. After the exhausting tour and last few days we needed a little bit time to relax.

~Time Skip~

A few days later, we got a call: Victoria was in labor. Kendall and I rushed over to James and Carlos place and together we drove to the hospital. We were not allowed into the delivery room, but after an hour we were led into a room where Victoria was lying.

»How are you?

»I'm fine. A little bit exhausted. The baby is fine too. They are cleaning and measuring him right now. «

A few minutes later, a nurse carried a tiny baby into the room. I carefully picked him up and supported his head. Kendall and I cooed at the baby, because if I am honest he was the most beautiful baby we've ever seen.

»Did you think of names yet? «

I looked at Kendall.

»Justin Maxwell Knight. «, he said.

The nurse smiled.

»Sounds great. «

She prepared his birth certificate and the paperwork for the adoption. It took only five minutes, until Kendall and I were the legal parents of this cute baby boy.

James and Carlos, the godparents of Justin, were as enamoured with our son as we were.

Victoria would be able to go home the next day and she promised to visit us. We took our baby home, where we fed him and put him to bed. Kendall and I were standing next to the crib watching him for a few minutes, okay to be honest a few hours. He was so cute when he slept.

The next few weeks were insane. We didn't get much sleep to me honest, since we had to get up multiple times in a night. Everyone of our friends and family was crazy after Justin. And so we had a lot of visitors.

At the same time Kendall and I applied to the UCLA where we wanted to go to.

On a morning, when Justin was two months old, James, Carlos, Kendall and I were meeting and having breakfast together. We watched how Justin was gurgling happily. And in this moment, I felt happier than ever before. And even though I was a bit afraid what might come, I couldn't wait to live this beautiful life with my beautiful family.
