Hello readers. Its been awhile hasn't it. Hopefully you all enjoy the return of this story, and Happy Belated Halloween. ^-^

Nicky entered the museum with his father, a small pumpkin under each arm. He immediately made his way to the Egyptology Exhibit, and waited patiently for a few minutes until the tablet glowed bright gold and Ahkmenrah and the rest of the exhibits came to life.

"Guess what day it is!" He announced happily as soon as the lid of the sarcophagus opened.

"Umm Friday?" Came the still half asleep reply from within the tomb.

"Well yeah, but it's the day before Halloween!" Ahk sat up and looked towards the young boy.

"Is that the holiday you were telling me about where everyone dresses up, goes to a stranger's house, and threatens them for candy?"

"I wouldn't say threaten, but yeah pretty much. Plus, I brought pumpkins!" He held said objects up.

"Those are the things you cut faces into, right?"

"Yep." Ahk nodded before climbing out of his sarcophagus. He made his way over to the display case, but instead of grabbing his jewels or crown he grabbed a dagger.

"Umm maybe you shouldn't carve pumpkins with the dagger. Dr. McPhee might notice."

The young pharaoh blinked at the weapon. "Oh right that's true." He returned it to it's display. Nicky rolled his eyes.

"Come on, you need to wake up faster." He proceeded to shove one of the pumpkins into Ahkmenrah's hands before dragging the older teen to the kitchen. Once there they set both pumpkins on the counter and looked for knives sharp enough to carve the pumpkins. It wasn't long before they were ready to start.

"Okay first you cut the top off around the stem." Nicky explained, and demonstrated by cutting into his pumpkin. Ahkmenrah nodded and copied on his own pumpkin. "Then you have to scoop out all the seeds and stuff."

The older teen wrinkled his nose. "That's a bit disgusting."

"You have canopic jars." Nicky responded.

"I've never looked inside of them."

"Never?"

"Never."

"I would have." He got a look in return. "Anyway start pulling the guts out."

A sigh. "You just had to make it worse."

"Yep." So with another sigh Ahk stared pulling the seeds out of the pumpkin. A disgusted look the entire time, making Nicky laugh.

"Now comes the fun part, making the face." Nicky said grinning, once both pumpkins were cleaned out. Ahk look decidedly more happy about this.

Some minutes later Nicky stepped back from the counter, pleases with how his pumpkin looked. It was a standard design, with two triangles for eyes and a jagged mouth, that made it look like it was laughing evilly.

"Done, what about you?" He asked turning to Ahk.

"I'm done as well." Nicky looked at the pumpkin in confusion. It only had one eye and half a mouth.

"Umm Ahk, what about the rest of the face."

"I only did a profile."

"Why?"

"Because doing the whole face would make it too human."

Nicky was silent for a second before he understood. Ancient Egyptians never drew a person completely from the front. "Oh right." He then went and dug around in his backpack before pulling out two candles for the pumpkin. Only battery powered candles though, as his parents didn't trust him with a lighter.

"Go turn off the lights." He said switching on the candles and Ahk nodded, crossing the room to turn off the lights. Once he came back Nicky handed him one of the candles, and the two of them placed them inside the pumpkins, admiring their work.

"I know what you should be for Halloween tomorrow." Nicky said breaking the silence.

"What?"

"A mummy. You wouldn't even have to buy or make a costume." Nicky grinned.

"Oh haha. You're hilarious." Ahk rolled his eyes, but grinned.
