Location: Afterlife

Skye was shaking. In less than twelve hours she had been told the most horrifying information. What made Jiaying's reveal she terrifying was the love in her eyes, the passion. But not for her. Not so much for Skye, as so for her greatest product being able to fulfill her destiny at long last.

Cal always had the worst timing. He fell in love with a woman who no longer could love. He loved a girl like a daughter, then had to give her up. He killed so many people, only after did he realize the damage. So came to body's surprise when he walked into the tense room.

"Is that her?" He all but whispered.
"Daisy, this is your father Cal," Jiaying said ever so sweetly.
Skye looked at her. Defiance in her eyes. "My name is Lillya Skye Natalia Barton. And you are not my mother." She surprised herself with her confidence, but more so with what she called herself. She had never said her full name. She, of course, had thought about changing her name. Or even going by Lillya, but saying with, Skye, it just felt right.

Cal was taken aback by his daughter's confidence. He still saw he as the little baby girl her gave up; small and defenseless.
"Okay… Lillya. How are you? I bought these for you," Cal said, bringing his bouquet of daisies from behind his back.
"I wanted this moment to be perfect. I can't tell you how many times I have rehearsed this moment," Cal said quickly.
"Okay…" Skye said confusion and disbelief in her voice. But she was an agent of Shield, and agents don't show their emotions. So the young women quickly hid all traces of her true feelings. But inside her stomach was doing somersaults.
"Jay, can I have a moment with her?" Cal asked. Jaiying just nodded. Even though she didn't want to. She knew that Cal would have more luck at convincing her.

"I'm so sorry," Cal said the minute that his wife left. Of all things Skye expected him to say, that was not it.
"I'm so sorry," he repeated, "I, I didn't want us to meet under these circumstances. You must think that we are monsters, but, you never saw her before. She was different. I was different. But if it is any help, I never wanted this for you. But now that you are here, I just want the best for you."
"Then how can you follow her. If you want the best for me, then you would never make me 'change' or whatever she wants to do to me," she asked angrily.
"I- I have to stand by her side, even if it means losing you," Cal stated sadly. It was then that Skye realized that Cal was just another victim of Jiaying's rage. Not having anything to say, she reached out and touched the broken man.
"I am not going to lie, it will hurt. But after, you will be magnificent."
"Are those your words or hers?" Despite her recent epiphany, Skye couldn't help but still feel mad at the man who called himself her father.

Location: Quinjet somewhere over China

"I have eyes on the target," May said.
"Remember, get Skye then catch the teleporter. This is a rescue mission," Coulson added, "not a capture." There were nods around the quinjet.
"May?" Clint questioned.
"We are landing about five miles out from the base."

They managed to get into the base without too many questions. A man named Lincoln pointed them to the building that Skye was in. Without knocking, the team of agents barged in, just in time to see a woman drop a blue crystal behind a glass wall. They all heard Skye screaming, and yet there was nothing that they could do.
