While Batman was coordinating everyone on what the next step would be, Superman finally appeared in the air.
Superman: I guess I should have known that you would use Kryptonite on me like that.
Batman: You know me Clark; I think of everything.
Superman: Like those Bat-bots?
Batman: They were a project Wayne Enterprises was working on in secret. I figured we would have to use something if we were going to be fighting the government.
Superman: Since when do you want to fight the government?
Batman: Since they decided to give Joker a bomb that destroyed part of my city.
Superman: Joker stole it, the government did not give it to them. I had Cyborg, Mister Terrific, and Aztec look into it. Batman no matter what we do, people are going to be afraid of us. We have to show them that they no longer have to be afraid; thats why we registered.
Batman: And once you do that, then people will have really fear the government. They use you like weapons to be deployed like a part of the military. They claim its a matter of protecting people, but that never is the case. When you going to learn that they are using you.
Batman: And when are you going to learn that you can't always make people fear you.
Batman then used a smoke pellet on Superman, but it only blinded him for a few seconds. Then Batman laid a punch that actually could hurt Superman; he was wearing a suit that was capable of fighting Superman. Superman then used his strength to fight off Batman. He then used his ice breath on his legs. However, Batman used exploding batarangs against him; it was cover until he could break the ice with his fist. Once he was freed, he went off to attack Superman; but managed to stop his attack and break one of his gloves. The two began exchanging punches like there was no tomorrow. Superman then used his heat vision when Batman was about to use another batarang. However, let out a bright shine that blinded Superman for a moment. Batman began to retaliate, but Superman blocked his attack. He began using his heat visions to dismantle Batman's suit while at the same time us his X-ray vision to find the sensitive parts of his suit. Even though it was dismantled, Batman had one more trick up his sleeve; the Kryptonite that Stargirl had. He used it to weaken Superman enough to take him down. After a few more punches, Superman was practically on the ground.
While Superman was down, Batman was about to leave. Unfortunately for him, MASE suit pilots surrounded the place. Before they were about to blast him, they were ordered to stop. The person who gave the order was Senator James; he was broadcasting a message to them via a big screen monitor. He ordered all SRA forces to stand down and asked Batman's team to stop fighting. He had an important announcement to make: they were all being used by someone; he knows the identity of the villain who was behind this whole mess.
