Kellie and Max were on the phone with Lorenzo about the note. The security footage showed nothing useful. The person who left the note hid all distinguishing features and walked out of sight.

Tyler and Lulu were waiting for Kellie once she worked with Max and Lorenzo.

"What's the next move?" Tyler asked.

"We wait," Kellie said, unless Spinelli comes up with something. Someone from the police department will be here to take the letter. Hopefully forensics will pull something, though it's doubtful. At least we have it documented that someone knows something about Sage's son."

"And when the next note comes with instructions," Lulu asked.

"We're going to call his bluff," Kellie said as they heard Max open the front door. Standing on the other side of the door was Taggert. Both Max and Taggert's jaws dropped.

"Weren't you in Portland?" Max finally said.

"Someone please tell me I am having a bad dream," Taggert said, "That my boss did not just send me to pick up evidence in a missing child case from one of Corinthos's goons."

"Let me guess," Kellie said, "You've had the displeasure of crossing paths with my father at one point."

"Detective Taggert used to work for the PCPD," Max said.

"Kellie Scott," she said reaching out to shake Taggert's hand, "Let me assure you my presence here in California has nothing to do with Sonny's business. I'm trying to start over away from all of that."

"I'll believe that when I see it," Taggert said, "Getting called to get evidence in a missing child case doesn't exactly score brownie points with me. Why exactly would you need guards if you're not part of Sonny's business?"

"The ironies of life," Kellie said, "Sonny had no idea I existed until not too long ago. I wasn't raised anywhere near him and had no idea who my father was until I was sixteen. An international arms dealer stalked me all over the country to Port Charles in an attempt to take over Sonny's properties and own me in the process. That life chose me a long time ago. Even though I'm starting over. I have enemies. I've got enough brains to know that guards are a necessity unlike my father."

"What's the deal with the missing child?" Taggert asked.

"My cousin, Sage Alcazar's son," Kellie said.

"Wasn't she dead?" Taggert asked.

"That's what everyone thought," Kellie said, "about her and her father Luis. He should theoretically be dead now. Luis masterminded all of that. Anyway, back to Sage's son. We all thought he died at birth. We learned that his death was faked and Tyler's father realized her son is a child he handled placing into foster care without being allowed to be adopted. The child disappeared. We and the Miami authorities have been trying to locate the child."

"What kind of evidence for a Miami missing child case ends up in California," Taggert asked.

Kellie handed Taggert the note and the chess piece in a plastic bag.

"I handled it before I understood what it was," Kellie said, "My prints should be on file."

"Do you honestly think you'll get a lead on this?" Taggert asked.

"No," Kellie said.

"Then why turn it over to the police," Taggert asked

"One, this is an active case," Kellie said, "It is my civic duty to turn this over to the authorities."

"Why do I get the feeling this isn't just about your civic duty," Taggert said.

"Because I know there will be another note," Kellie said, "For whatever reason, whoever has Sage's son wants to draw me into this. They will send instructions for me to meet and go somewhere. However, considering the amounts of money that were paid to the start to keep this little boy in foster care, implies this little boy has value to whoever has him. I'm willing to bet I can call this person bluff when the time comes. That means letting the authorities do their job and find Sage's son."

"I don't know if I should be impressed," Taggert said, "or concerned about your plan. On one hand, I have to admire the brilliance you show by not shutting law enforcement out and realizing that if you follow instructions by yourself, you're being led into a trap. On the other hand, I'm very concerned about your presence here and you remind me a little too much of Morgan and Corinthos for me to be comfortable."

"I understand," Kellie said, "I really hope that I'll be able to show you I'm not my father. Yes, I could run his businesses and have. I'm never going to be completely free of that life. There are things that will come up and yeah, I think like a coffee importer. Jury's still out on whether that's a gift or curse."

"Alright, I'll give you benefit of the doubt," Taggert said, "But if you turn out like your father, all bets are off."

"Thank you," Kellie said, "I appreciate you and your department assistance in finding my cousin's son."

Kellie was showing Taggert out when it hit.

"Wait a minute, you said Sage Alcazar is your cousin," Taggert said, "How in God's name did Sonny sleep with an Alcazar…you know what I don't want know."

Back at the police station

Helena paid Chantelle a visit.

"I don't think I can even begin to express how disappointed I am in you," Helena said, "I had such high hopes for you and then you pull a stunt like this."

"For your information, Mother Dear," Chantelle said, "I came to California to make amends with my daughter-in-law."

"And how just how exactly did making amends end up with you in jail?" Helena asked.

"The little tramp was always over dramatic," Chantelle said, "I shouldn't be subject to a search to see my own son."

"NIkolas called me," Helena said, "Your son had an interesting tidbit of information for him. He said that you apparently wanted him to take exceutorship of the estate so you could get your hands on the Cassadine estate."

Chantelle let out a fake laugh, "Tyler always did have an overactive imagination."

At that moment, a courier came in with papers for Chantelle. Helena grabbed them before Chantelle could and read them.

"You really thought you could sue for control of the Cassadine estate," Helena said, "and to think I had such high hopes for you."

Helena walked out of the room as Chantelle screamed for her to help her get out of jail.

"But I'm your daughter," Chantelle shrieked, "You can't just leave me in this place."

"And yet that didn't stop you from going after me, your mother," Helena said, "I guess it really is like mother, like daughter in this instance. Now if you'll excuse me."

Helena walked by Taggert on her way out of the station. She acknowledge him with a slight "hmmpf" and continued on out the door.

"What is it with all the Port Charles crazies coming out of the woodwork today?" Taggert said to no one in particular.

"You know her?" One of the rookies asked, "From Port Charles?"

"Unfortunately," Taggert said.

"Her daughter was brought in earlier," the rookie said,

"Helena Cassadine has a daughter and she's here?" Taggert asked.

"The shrieking banshee," the rookie said, "The daughter does not get along her son and daughter-in- law, there are trespassing charges and assault charges. She did a number on her son's guard."

"Out of curiosity, do you happen to know the name of the son and daughter-in-law?" Taggert Asked.

"Scott," the rookie said, "Tyler and Kellie Scott."

"And I thought today couldn't get any weirder," Taggert said, heading to forensics lab.
