Caroline couldn't believe this. He actually left her all alone, again. She was absolutely fuming over this. She probably shouldn't, in fact, she probably should be at her mother's house, but she couldn't face her, at least not yet.
Yes, she apologized, but all Caroline kept thinking about was all those horrible words she said, and the fact that it took Caroline to forget everything for her apologize, that just didn't sit well with Caroline.
There was no point in her sticking around the dorm room, Bonnie was sleeping and Kol was keeping an eye on her so she didn't go all Esther again. If she did, Caroline didn't want to stick around for it.
Stefan was at the boarding house, waiting for Elena and Damon to come back. Apparently they went out of town for the weekend for a romantic getaway or whatever. He would tell them what happened when they got back.
So Caroline had nowhere to go, no one wanted her. That thought alone made her want to weep, but she was too angry to week. She was in Klaus's mansion, where he used to live, just staring out the window. She didn't know if he was going to come here or not, but like she said, nowhere to go.
She heard the front door open and close and waited until he was in the same room to speak. "I'm surprised you came back," She said.
"Do you actually believe I would leave your wellbeing in the hands of these fools?" He asked, hands behind his back.
"Didn't stop you from leaving before," Caroline said easily.
"You're upset," He said.
"Yes Klaus, I'm upset. I may not have been able to remember you when you left the first time, but now I have no problem remembering that you're not a coward, that you don't run from anything. So why would you run away from me, run when I most needed you?"
"You didn't remember Caroline. You couldn't remember who I was, who we are, why would I stay?"
"Because you love me!" Caroline yelled, breathing heavy. Their eyes met, both filed with tears. Caroline took a deep breath before continuing. "You love me Klaus, and I love you. You had no right to leave me before, and at the time I let you go because I didn't know what I know now."
"And what do you know?" Klaus asked.
"I know that I'm hopelessly in love with you, and I'm scared. I am absolutely terrified because I have never felt this before, but I can't live without you. I don't know what you were thinking when you left, maybe you've changed your mind about me and no longer want me, or maybe this entire thing was a game, and if so, congratulations, because you won. I need you in my life Klaus, and while you may not be prepared to handle this type of relationship, you're just going to have to suck it up, because I'm not letting you go."
She immediately turned around and frantically wiped her tears. She felt his arms come around her, but she fought him, trying to squirm out of his grip. He wrapped his arms around her and yanked her firmly against him.
"How could you thing for one second that I don't want you? That this entire thing has been a game?" He hissed in her ear, swinging her around to face him. "This has never been a game Caroline, not to me. I want you unlike anything else. I crave you every second of everyday. When you're not around, I'm in pure torture. Every single say I'm petrified with the thought of losing you, and that's why I left. Not because I no longer want you, but because I'm afraid one day you will be ripped out of my arms and I'll no longer be able to have you."
Caroline's heart melted at his words and at how honest he was, and all her anger disappeared at seeing the vulnerability on his face. She cupped his face with her hands and said, "You're afraid of losing me Klaus? What do you think will happen if you leave me? I know what I'm getting myself into Klaus, I knew the minute I went to New Orleans. I know I'm constantly in danger, but I love you Klaus, and if you left me I would be nothing, there would be no point for me to go on."
"Don't say that," He began.
"It's the truth! If you left, I would no longer matter, because you're the only one that's made me felt like I've mattered. You make me feel safe, secure, beautiful, strong, loved. No one will ever be able to make me feel like you do Klaus. Please, don't run from me," Caroline whispered, resting her forehead against his.
He rested his hands on her hips and pulled her closer while gently placing a kiss on her lips. It started out just a brush of lips, but they both deepened it. Caroline took charge and ran her tongue along the seams of his lips, coaxing them to open.
He granted her access, and she took full advantage of it, exploring his mouth with her tongue. When she was sure she had explored every inch of his mouth, she ran her tongue along his own, coaxing his own tongue to play in this passionate game.
He darted his tongue out and touched it against her own, but didn't make any move to go further. She was in control of this, he made sure she knew that. It was up to her what happened next, if she walked away, he would let her. If she wanted him to walk away, he would, it was all on her.
She could sense his hesitation, so she grabbed him and shoved him back towards the couch, never taking her lips off if his. She pulled away only to shove him on the couch and to take off her shirt. She tossed it across the room and straddled him, returning her mouth to where it belonged, on his.
Soon the kissing wasn't enough, Caroline wanted more, and so did Klaus, but he wasn't going to push her. She knew that, so that meant she had to take charged. She kissed her way down his neck before ripping his shirt in half and shoving the pieces off him. She undid he pants and slid them off him while kissing her way down his chest.
She was now kneeling on the floor in between his legs. She grabbed his boxers and yanked them don his legs, her eyes darkening with lust at the sight of his member. She leaned forward and placed a kiss on the tip, teasingly.
"Caroline." He groaned, lacing his fingers in her hair. She took that as an invitation to continue and took him in her mouth. She took him as far as she could, seductively twirling her tongue around him, pumping him in and out of her mouth.
"Fuck Caroline," He growled, thrusting himself further into her mouth. He was so close, painfully close. The minute she twirled that skillful mouth of hers around the head, he lost himself and came in her mouth.
She took all of him, not moving until she was positive he was done. She kissed her way up his neck before sinking her teeth in his vein, feeding off him. He hissed out in pleasure and grabbed her hips, yanking her closer to him. She fed roughly from his neck, immensely turned on by this, and from the feel of it, so was he.
She moved off him and finished undressing before straddling him again, positioning herself above him before she sank onto his already hard member, groaning at the feeling of him finally in her.
Klaus watched her, completely fascinated as she rode him, lost in feeling. What did he deserve to have someone like Caroline? He didn't deserve her, he knew that, and yet here she was, satisfying him unlike anyone else, keeping up with him unlike anyone else. To think, he almost gave this beauty up.
Caroline felt her climax build once again, and from the way Klaus was grabbing her hips, so was his. Suddenly Klaus cupped her face and smashed their lips together, for the first time this night taking charge. He controlled the kiss and forced his way into her mouth while his hand slipped between their bodies and rubbed her clit. She cried out into his mouth and rode him faster, the pleasure becoming almost painful. He rubbed faster and she came undone in a matter of seconds, crying into his mouth as she broke away from the kiss. He came with her thrusting his hips up against her once more before they both became still.
She collapsed on his chest and stayed there for a while, neither one of them talking, just enjoying each other, but Klaus had a few things he had to say. "I will always want what's best for you Caroline, that will always be my number one priority. I thought when I left, that was what was best for you, and now that I've thought about it I realized it was foolish of me. You were right I had no right to leave you in the state and apologize. I love you Caroline, and I'm glad you aren't ready to let me go, because I am not ready to let you go either," He said, stroking her naked back.
Caroline pulled away and met his eyes, smiling at all the love she found there. "I love you too," she smiled, placing a small kiss on his lips.
He kissed her back passionately, surprising her. He flipped their positions so she was on her back, and without any warning, thrust himself into her. She gasped in surprise, but still raised her hips up to meet his thrust, enjoying the slowness in all of it, the seriousness, and the love.
Their love making was slow and tender, healing all of the wounds they had opened, all of the hurt they had felt, all of the pain they caused each other. This was all about closing wounds so they could move forward.
They both came at the same time, and just held each other through it, like they always would.

The pressure built higher and higher, and with just the right flick of his tongue, all that pressure was relieved, only to build because Klaus wasn't done, he wasn't even close to done. He had promised her he would pleasure her until she wouldn't be able to move, and he was doing just that.
"Klaus," She groaned, gripping his head closer to her core, grinding her most intimate part against his face. He gripped her hips and held them against the mattress while he merciless licked at her, acting as if he was a starving man and she was his feast.
He slid one finger into her, then two, and set a lazy place. Caroline arched her hips, despite his grip, trying to speed things up. He ignored her and focused on bringing her to new heights. Her inner muscles tightened around his fingers and he knew she wasn't far off. "Come for me love," He purred. He wanted to see her come for him, needed her to come for him.
To his delight, she did exactly that, crying out in pleasure as the orgasm hit her. She collapsed against the bed, completely exhausted. He rose above her, and just seeing the raw passion in his eyes made her want him again, which almost seemed impossible. She spread her legs for him and he immediately thrust himself into her warm core, groaning at the tightness.
He set a brutal pace and she frantically met him half thrust, despite her exhausted state. Neither would last long, Caroline because of all the orgasms she already had, and Klaus because he had waited half the night to be inside of her, but he had to prove a point. Prove that he was the only one that could make her feel this good, to prove that no one would be able to satisfy her like he did.
Caroline cried out in pleasure as her climax hit her without warning, and Klaus found that to be his undoing. The feeling of her contractions milking him sent him off, and three thrusts later he was following her. He collapsed beside her and pulled her limp body on top of his.
"I'm not going to be able to walk tomorrow," She muttered against his chest, already half asleep.
He chuckled and kissed the top of her head, covering them with one of the many sheet. "How many times was that?"
"Six," She grumbled, shooting him a halfhearted glare.
"Hmmm, what did I bet again?" He asked, knowing exactly how many times he betted he could make her come.
"Six," She sighed.
"What do I get as my reward?" He grinned, thinking of all the possibilities.
"I'll think about it okay? Now I suggest you let me sleep, if not you are never getting sex again," Caroline threatened.
"Then I suppose I would have to seek it from other women," Klaus teased.
Caroline shot out of his arms and was straddling him in half a second, glaring down at him. "Excuse me?" She snarled.
He laid on his back, smirking up at his jealous love. "Afraid they'll last longer then you?"
"We'll see about that," She said determinedly, and all thoughts of sleep were forgotten. She had something to prove, and she had to get all thoughts of other women out of her man's head, even if it would kill her.

Bonnie watched him sleep, tears slipping down her face. Why did she have to fall in love with him? Why was this so hard?
It shouldn't be, he was far from perfect, and she knew that. She knew that before she fell in love with him, and yet she did. That was the thing, he didn't have to be perfect, she never wanted someone who was perfect, and she never expected someone who was perfect!
He moved in his sleep and Bonnie wiped her tears away, watching as he slowly waked up. He sat up and looked at her, but she didn't meet his eyes.
"Are you okay?" He asked after a moment of silence.
"Yeah, I'm just fine. Esther isn't a problem anymore, so we don't have to worry about that," Bonnie said, keeping her eyes down.
"That's good," Kol said.
When it became clear there was nothing left to say, Kol got up and gathered his coat and left. The minute he closed those doors Bonnie broke down in tears, burying her face in her hands. Why would Esther do this to her? Why did Esther even have to get involved in her life?
The first man she ever truly loved, and she had to let him go. Bonnie looked sadly at the picture of Esther on her nightstand. She remembered everything, and it made her wish she didn't, because now she had a choice. Finn made the choice for her before, but now she had to make it on her own, and she hated herself. She hated the fact that no matter who made her make the choice, it would always be the same. She was going to have to let Kol go.
One more chapter and Epilogue. It's kind of sad but I'm happy at the same time. Now I can move on and write another Klaroline story! Anyway, review? Thanks!
I do not own the Vampire Diaries
