Hello Readers! Arctic Fox here Sorry for the long delay on this chapter. I just did NOT want to write this as I am just getting tired with this arc. That is not a good enough excuse but that is all I got. Hope that you guys don't mind and are still with this fanfiction. Oh and about a few things that I got. A lot of you were saying thing along the lines of "Why did you have Dialga send Ryu and crew forward in time?!1!? You should have sent them back to stop the taint before it even began" well I have a response to that. By doing that, it would extend this arc a lot more and I would have had to do much more research with the Taints creator, as I did not come up with the idea, I am using it from someone else. I wanted to end this as quick as I can so this is what I came up with. Also, if I sent them backward in time, it would ruin my entire plan of this Last Stand situation that Ryu and crew are in at the moment. That is how I pictured this arc's end. Anywho, hope you enjoy this chapter and…..who the hell are you?

Location: Hall of Origins.

POV: Ryu

While Ryu was falling to his knees, Shadowstorm had a giant smirk on his face. Shade crouched down without taking her eyes on Ryu's old team.

"Ryu...I know how much this must suck for you right now but you have to keep fighting. If you let this destroy your will to fight, then the Absol already won. Perhaps there is a way to reverse it. All you have to do is just fight on and hope you can find one." Shade explained, hoping to get her emotionally weakened brother-in-arms back into combat effectiveness. Ryu looked up at Shade, almost no emotion in his eyes, and nodded. As he floated back up, fire returned to his eyes as he eyed his old team in front of him. He glanced at Shadowstorm, rage in his eyes.

"I will make you pay for what you have done. I will gut you like a fish and watch as you disintegrate into nothing. To put it in simple terms, I WILL FUCKING KILL YOU!" The extremely pissed Mew yelled, much to the surprise of his team mates from the fact he actually swore, something he doesn't do that often. Right when he was about to blindly charge, a portal appeared to the right of the combat area. Everyone looked at the portal in confusion. As not even Shadowstorm knew what was on the other side, everyone got into a defensive position as they waited for what would come out.

POV: ?

I flew through the portal and popped the cannon off my back and transformed into combat form. I looked into a room with unfamiliar looking pokemon and Lord Arceus with a rag tag band. I further scanned the area and noted that the unfamiliar looking pokemon weren't right, they were discolored and...well dead.

"Lord Arceus what is this?"

POV: Ryu

While the Genesect with the strange double barrel cannon, something that is quite unusual in itself, asked Arceus about what was happening, Arceus glanced at the strange Legendary that seemed to be unaware of the state that the planet was in.

"I would have thought you would have noticed by now. Very well. The Absol in the front of the strange looking group has spread a disease called The Taint which corrupts any Pokemon that are infected by it, naturally designed ones or ones that I created, so Shadow Pokemon and MewTwo here are immune for some strange reason, and turns them into pure evil creatures of-" Arceus started before a loud yell interrupted him. Shadowstorm decided to stop the history lesson.

"Thats great and all but I really don't have time for this. I would like to be able to control the universe as soon as possible, please and thank you." Shadowstorm said, annoyance in his voice at the lecture Arceus was giving.

"And you doing a very Arceusawful job of that dear sir, what is your plan, rule the world? Oh I'm so intimidated." The genesect said in an extremely snobbish british absol's expression turned from one of mild annoyance to total anger.

"Oh I am going to enjoy cutting your ignorant head off and mounting it on my wall as I use the rest of your body as firewood." Shadowstorm retorted. While the two were arguing, Ryu, Shade, Espeon, Mewtwo, and Arceus were looking back and forth between the two like they were watching a tennis match, not that they knew what a tennis match was, minus Ryu as he actually did.

"Burning metal in a fire. Should I take you back to your sad excuse for a mother for a correct lesson in fire?" genesect said, taunting the fuming absol as he powered up his right fire cannon. Shadowstorm looked like he was about to respond before he sighed.

"Why do I even bother? CHARGE!" Shadowstorm yelled. Right when he finished, all the tainted charged. Ryu and crew got into a combat stance before yelling as they two, charged.

As the first line of tainted reached Ryu and his crew, they each went off into their own little group as they combat started. Shade went forward, Espeon stayed back and did her normal, range combat. Arceus was more balanced out as he was using a combination of range and melee based attacks. MewTwo was similar to Espon with more range attacks but had a few melee attacks as well, basically designating him as Espeon's support as well as fellow sniper. Ryu went with Shade, wielding his signature Shadow Claws on each paw while Shade was using her sword made of aura. Back to back, Ryu and Shade cut down the tainted down one by one, the body count rising at a rapid pace.

After Ryu pulled his claws out from a Delphox's stomach, the body dissolving, he glanced over his shoulder at Shade.

"How you holding up?" Ryu asked Shade as she cut a nidoran's head off. Shade glanced at him while she blocked a strike from a greninja's water sword.

"FIne and dandy. Just killing countless, zombie-like, Pokemon. Just another day on the job." Shade said, chuckling as she used her sword to turn the greninja into two separate pieces, horizontally. Ryu chuckled as well as he ducked under a metal claw from a charmeleon before sending both Shadow Claws into its skull, the tip of the claws sticking out from the charmeleon's skull.

"Though I wish we did not have to do this, it is necessary to survive...Hopefully we do find that cure." Ryu said, as he pulled his claws out of the charmeleon's skull and spun to slash a Ninetales' head in half. Ryu frowned as he did so from the fact he hates doing it but there was nothing he could do, it was kill or be killed. The Law of the Jungle. Just then, he heard Espeon cry out in pain. Turning faster than he ever had before, he looked at her and had a expression of pure fear show up on his face. A Joltic had snuck up behind her and had cut her side. Forgetting all the enemies around him, he rushed forward to try to help her, watching out of the corner of his eye as he saw MewTwo step on the bug, crushing it beneath his foot.

POV: Genesect

At the start of the battle

I turned off the safeties to my cannons and started to opened up on targets in the air at almost machinegun like speed. As I stood the enemy approached and so fell back, I'm good with my guns not my arms. I ran as my guns rotated behind me and started firing once more, as I stopped for a moment I was slammed by a high velocity solar beam, once I fell a Scyther climbed on my guns. As I shot his guts spew from where my guns are like confetti, I decided to take this battle to the sky once I took off I immediately had two skarmory on my tail, as I swiveled my guns one of them shot my right fire cannon was temporarily disabled. I swore under my breath as I diverted all cannon power to water, as I shot both skarmory out of the sky I was hit in the left engine and started going into a flatspin. Seeing the genesect fall, MewTwo used his Psychic powers to stop it from falling, allowing a Joltic to get passed him and sneak up onto Espeon. As he set the genesect down, Espeon's scream of pain alerted him to her situation and he spun on his heel. Seeing Ryu rush over to her, he saw the Joltic that caused the problem. He simply stepped on it, crushing it into nothing.

POV: Ryu

When he got next to Espeon, he saw the Taint already working into her body. Espeon looked up at him and smiled weakly.

"Hey...I guess you can't win them all….Well...I do have one last thing I want...to do." Espeon started. She reached up and licked his cheek.

"Bye...brother." With that, the last of Espeon's energy faded as she fell unconscious. Ryu felt a tear fall down his cheek before he yelled in pure rage while a unintentional shockwave of pure psychic power pulsed around him. When he felt a strange, warming feeling, he looked down and saw that the taint was getting destroyed off of Espeon's body. He had a look of pure shock and awe as Espeon slowly seemed to recover before looking up at him.

"I don't know what you did, brother, but it killed the Taint. Do it again." Espeon said as she stood up. Ryu nodded as he floated up and looked at the surviving army of Tainted, Winter and her comrades still standing. Ryu mentally told all the surviving members the of his team about the cure before he looked at the genesect,

"Can you use any psychic abilities?"

"Yes why?"

"Good. I need you to either help boost my powers or create as large of a psychic pulse as you can."

"Ok." The genesect then created a mist that generated from the twin cannons.

When the genesect created his mist that seemed to enhance his mental power, Ryu focused on his part. From the boost in power he got from MewTwo, Espeon, Arceus with his Psychic plate, and the small fraction from Shade, he stored together a gigantic psychic pulse in a small space, which enhanced its power even more so. He then looked up at Shadowstorm with a huge grin on his face before saying the last two words that he would say to the demented absol.

"I win."

With that, Ryu sent out the large pulse that expanded at a rapid pace, expanding into the entire Hall, destroying every remnant of the taint, and curing every last Pokemon in the area.

After the fight, Ryu looked around for the absol's body. Surprisingly, he was not to be found. Perhaps the absol escaped before the pulse reached him. Ryu shook his head as he thought about it. Best not to worry about the deranged absol. Suddenly, he tilted his head as a strange sound entered his mind. Turning to his left, he saw a sight he did not expect.

The genesect had a hotdog and was trying to put it in his filter mouth. As it bounced off, he repeated this act two more times until he looked down at the hotdog with sadness seeing he did not make any progress. He looked over to Ryu with an expression that says 'why is this not working? help me!'

Ryu just blinked and shook his head before he looked over and saw Winter was waking up. Getting a large smile on his face, he flew over to her before giving her a hug.

"Welcome back."

/Genesect: I CAN'T EAT THE HOTDOG *sob*

Hope you guys enjoyed! Now onto the serious note. The thing I wanted to talk about is that I want to know if you guys liked having this extra author help that I used. If you guys want to, he can stay for the rest of Shadowed Destiny's life. If he stayed, this story would get updated A CRAP TON more often, as he would be bugging me to write more chapters.
