So, I'll apologize ahead of time for what happens. I'll have a note at that end of the chapter, too, to explain myself. I hope you all enjoy. You guys are wonderful, and I would love some reactions to the wrench I just threw into everything. Love you guys XoXoXo

Jon was trying to be normal. But it was proving to be really difficult. He was still missing Al. She hadn't spoken to him or anything in over a month and a half. It was driving him crazy. He just wanted a chance to talk to her. That was it. If she rejected him after that, then, he would leave her alone. But he wanted just a chance to make things right…a chance to be with her again. Being away from her was killing him.

"How you doing?" Colby asked, walking up to his friend, while they were backstage at the evening's live show.

"I'm good. How are you, man?"

"Good. Good."

"You look happy."

"Oh…I uh…I just got off the phone with Leighla."

Jon smirked. "I should've guessed."

"Yeah. I'll be seeing her in a couple of days."

"Cool."

"So…you seem down…again."

Jon shrugged. "I'm good."

Colby raised a suspicious eyebrow. "Really?"

"Yeah. I'm fine."

"I know you better than that."

"I mean, I'm not ecstatic or anything, but I don't need you to keep sharp objects away from me or anything."

"Have you tried calling her?"

Jon shook his head. "Not in a while. I don't want to bother her. At this point, if she wanted to talk to me, she would have. I gotta give up hope that she'll ever speak to me again," Jon explained. "So I guess I have to move on or whatever." To be completely honest with himself, Jon didn't really blame her. If it were anyone else, he may have thought she was being too stubborn. But Al had shared a lot about her life with him, and considering everything she had been through in her life, he didn't really blame her for not speaking to him after she found out that he wasn't completely honest with her. He couldn't blame her. He blamed himself.

Colby frowned. "I'm sorry, man. I really thought she'd come around."

"I mean, I lied to her. I deserve what I get."

"I dunno. I liked you two together. You both seemed really happy, and it really worked pretty well."

"We were, and it did," he replied.

A short silence rested between the two, before Colby finally spoke. "Has Renee still been a pain in the ass?" he questioned, changing the subject.

Jon rolled his eyes. "That woman does not give up," he breathed.

Colby smirked. "Oh really? She's still at it? I figured after the last time you told her to fuck off, she'd get the message."

"Oh I'm pretty sure she's gotten the message. She just chooses to ignore it," he replied with a laugh.

"What are you gonna do about her?"

He shrugged. "Probably just keep telling her to fuck off."

Colby laughed. "I would've never pegged Renee for the crazy one," he told him friend, shaking his head.

Jon shook his head. "I know, right?"

"Come on, Al. You need to see a doctor because there's definitely something up with you, and I'm concerned," Lizzy insisted, sitting on the edge of Al's bed.

"I'm fine. It's just a bug," Al insisted.

"Seriously, you're being stubborn and ridiculous."

"I'm not. You're just making this out to be a bigger deal than it actually is. It's just a bug, Lizzy. That's all."

"Okay. Let's just be honest with each other here. We both know you're avoiding going to the doctor because you're probably pregnant. We can make this easy, and you can just take a test, so we can move on with our lives."

Al sat up and gave Lizzy a shocked look. "Are you fucking serious? You're being paranoid now. I'm definitely not pregnant. There's no way…"

"No. There is a way. It's called sex, and we both know you've had plenty of it with a certain man named Jon. Let's look at the facts. You're nauseous. You're tired. You're achy. I'm telling you, you're pregnant."

"I am not."

"So, every time that you and Jon had sex, you used protection?"

"I mean, usually," Al replied.

Lizzy gave her a look. "Okay. Come on. You have to go take a test. I knew you were gonna be a pain in my ass about it. That's why I plan ahead." Lizzy reached into her bag, pulling out a box of two tests. "Take them."

"I'm not gonna take them," Al protested.

"If you take them, and they say you're not pregnant, then, I'll leave you alone about it. You'll be right, and I'll be wrong. And I won't keep bugging you about not talking to Jon…at least for a little while," she told her.

Al rolled her eyes. "First of all, I seriously doubt that. Secondly, I don't understand why you just can't let this go."

"Because I'm right. I'm dead serious. You haven't been feeling well, and I know it's because you're pregnant."

Al shook her head, clearly irritated. "Fine," she relented. "If I take them, then, you'll see that I didn't get myself knocked up, and you'll quit pissing me off about it."

Lizzy handed the box to her. "Thank you."

Al took it and went into the bathroom, just desperately wanting her friend to shut up about it already. She quickly took both tests and left them on the bathroom counter before washing her hands and walking about of the room.

Lizzy stood against the wall, her arms crossed over her chest. "Got the answers already?" she questioned, when she saw Al come out.

"No. They're doing their thing. But I already know the answer."

"Why are you being so stubborn about this? You know there's a good chance that I'm right. Don't even pretend you think I'm wrong."

Al shrugged. "I know I'm not pregnant. That's all. I've fucked up my body so badly over the last…thirteen or so years that I won't be able to get pregnant without a doctor's help. I know that because that's what the doctor told me," she replied, bringing a hand onto her hip.

"You never told me that."

"Because that's not really something I want to talk about."

"Well, I still think you're knocked up, my friend."

"I don't want to be pregnant anyway," she breathed. "I have so much going on right now. You know? I'm not stable enough for a poor kid."

"I think you're more stable than you realize."

"I'm too…I dunno…messed up."

Lizzy gave her a look. "You're not. You're doing better than you ever have. Better than you have since the day I met you."

"I'm trying, you know? I don't wanna be dead or anything."

"You're gonna be okay," Lizzy confidently replied. "Let's check out those tests, okay?"

"You can. I know I'm not pregnant."

"You sure?"

"Yup."

"Okay." Lizzy walked in and glanced between the two tests. "Um…Al…you might wanna come in here."

"What's that?" Al asked, turning to face inside of the bathroom. Lizzy motioned to the tests sitting on the counter. Al looked and her mouth fell open. "What? That's not possible," she spoke, in complete shock.

"I told you. You're pregnant, my friend," Lizzy said, trying to hide the smile that was trying to form on her lips.

"Oh my God. I'm pregnant," Al breathed. She immediately felt dizzy. She couldn't believe this was actually happening. "How can I…?" Truth be told, she knew exactly how she had managed to get into this position. But she couldn't believe it was actually happening.

"Are you okay?" Lizzy questioned, noticing that Al looked as if she were about to pass out right where she stood.

"I need to sit."

Lizzy led her out of the bathroom, back into her bed. "Just lay down, relax, breath. It'll be okay."

"I can't…how could…" Al didn't know what to say or think, as this point. She was just in complete and utter shock.

"You have to go to your gynecologist," Lizzy told her. "So, we'll call and make an appointment." Al nodded. "And you have to call Jon and tell him."

"How do you even know it's Jon's?" Al questioned.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Who else have you been screwing around with in the last six months?" she sarcastically shot back.

"Well, no one…"

"Exactly."

Al sighed. "I can't believe this is real life."

"So…what are you gonna do?" Lizzy asked.

"You mean, am I gonna keep it?"

"Well…yeah…"

She thought for a moment, considering her other options. "I dunno. I honestly didn't think that I was even pregnant. So, right now, I'm kinda just in shock."

Lizzy nodded. "Understandable."

"I have to call Phil."

"Yeah. And Jon."

"I'm not gonna talk to Jon until after I see the gyno," Al quickly spoke.

"You're gonna have to tell him. I don't want you trying to avoid this. He deserves to know. It's one thing if you don't want to call him because of what went down with you two. It's a completely other thing when you're pregnant with his baby."

"I know. I just…I don't want to talk to him until after I talk to the doctor. I promise, I'm not going to not tell him. Even I'm not that selfish."

"Fine. But you better tell him."

"I will," Al insisted.

"Okay. You better."

Al picked up her phone. "As or now, I'm gonna call Phil."

"Oh bot. That's gonna be an interesting conversation. Do you want me to leave the room, while you tell your father the news?" she asked, smirking.

"No. You can stay."

Al called Phil's cell phone, while Lizzy sat next to her on the bed. Phil finally picked up on the fourth ring. "Hey Allie."

"Hey Phil," she greeted, nervous about how this conversation was going to go. "So uh…I need to talk to you about something."

"Okay…what's up?" he questioned.

"So, um…Lizzy is here. And we were talking…about things…"

"You're starting to make me nervous because I can hear it in your voice…you're stalling," he spoke. "Out with it, Allie."

Al laughed nervously. "Okay, so I'll just tell you, then."

"Please."

"I think I'm pregnant." There was absolute silence on the other end. That made Al even more nervous. "Uh…Phil?"

"Are you fucking serious, Alessandra?" he questioned. It wasn't necessarily an angry tone, but it certainly wasn't a happy one. "What makes you think that?"

"Lizzy made me take a test. Two. Two tests."

"And they said you are?"

"Kind of?"

"Kind of? What the hell do you mean 'kind of'?"

"I mean, they said I am," she replied.

"Oh my God," he groaned. "Did you tell Jon?"

"No. I want to wait until I see my doctor before I tell him."

"Alessandra, you need to tell him. No more of this game-playing bullshit. You got me? This is serious. It isn't a joke, and it isn't something to take lightly. This is a big deal. It's serious. And it isn't about you. Don't you care fuck around with something like this."

"I know. I won't. I just want to confirm it with the lady parts doctor first, and we'll go forward from there," she explained.

"Okay." He took a deep breath and let it out. "Shit. What are you gonna do?"

"I have no idea. I only found out a couple of minutes ago."

Well, this whole not feeling well makes a hell of a lot more sense now, doesn't it?" he questioned.

"Yeah. I can't believe it."

"Okay. To be fair, if you weren't using protection, it shouldn't really be that surprising to you. You're a smart woman. You know how these things work."

"I know. But with everything that's gone on, I really didn't think it'd be possible."

"Well, guess you shouldn't make assumptions like that."

"A little too late for that."

"Listen, I'm not entirely thrilled. Obviously the whole you screwing Jon to begin with is still a sore subject for me, but at least you're clean. You're doing much better. Mean, you'll be okay. I'm here. I know Liz is, too. You'll be alright. No matter what. You have to know that AJ will be on your side. Everything will be okay."

"I hope so. I mean…can I seriously have a baby right now? Honestly? I feel like this is a terrible time to have a kid. I'll probably fuck the poor child up."

"You're just being paranoid. You've very self-aware, Al. When your parents were raising you, or whatever you want to call what they did, they weren't. You can be a parent. A great one, at that," Phil encouraged her.

"I dunno. I guess I should call the doctor…make an appointment…figure this whole thing out," she breathed.

"Alright. Keep me in the loop."

"I will."

"Love you, Allie."

"Love you, Philly. Bye."

"Bye."

Al ended the call and put her phone down. "Well, that went better than planned…way better than planned, actually."

"Good. Now, call the doctor and make an appointment."

"Okay. Okay."

A/N: I know. I'm sorry. Everyone knocks their characters up. And I tend to knock them up more than usual, I'm sure. But I promise, I won't make it suck. :)
