Brett's POV

'You can do this, Brett.' Ming reassured.

Yeah, I memorised the protocol book for a reason. Talbot was in it so I know what to do. Ward added.

It was a book developed by a few cybertek agents when it came to formal meetings with high government officials. Talbot and the military were in one chapter. Not to mention what I knew of him with the episodes though none of that actually happened. It gave me a sounding board of his personality.

The choppers touched down, the blades slowing. I stood with my hands folded behind my back.

'Kinda reminds you of James Bond.' David whispered.

Ward snorted, picturing us as Bond.

Talbot was easily recognised as he jumped out the chopper in his uniform, strangely it was his blue suit and not the other's camouflages attire. He had less badges than his counterpart in the future episodes.

Colonel not Brigadier General.

Two men flanked him as he headed over to my direction. The other three walked in a line behind them.

"Colonel Talbot of the US air force. I need to speak to whoever's in charge."

"That's me. I'm co-founder of this company and base." I answered as they came to a stop a few feet away. Talbot stared at me, assessing my words.

"What's your name, Mr?"

"Call me Blaze, a nickname." I answered.

"Blaze?" Talbot snorted.

"I didn't chose it, Raven did, it's sort of stuck." I let a blush rise to my cheeks, stepping out my formal stance.

"Right." He glanced around to the buildings. David had even put in a magnificent water fountain in the middle of the two large buildings though they connected.

"Impressive place you got here. We had reports of jets disappearing. Caught our attention."

"All jets are safe, pilots and cargo is here." I answered. "But I know you're here as a threat assessment."

"Yes. I need to know what your…company is doing."

"Advanced technology, medicine and we hope to expand to other fields later but those are our main priorities."

"Medicine?" He didn't sound that impressed. "That's what this building is about?

"Why don't I show you, Then you can decide if you want to see the rest of the building."

Talbot half nodded, considering it. "Alright." He agreed.

I sighed then headed into the building, their footsteps marched after me.

"How many floors?"

"Quite a few. Most of my staff have a room so the top half is accommodation. The first floors of the building is a lobby and cafeteria. The first few floors are the Labs and storage. We have an infirmary room located on all floors. If any accidents occur then we act quickly. Our medicine is used instead of the normal ones you use."

"Normal?"

"You'll see, Colonel." I smiled lightly as opened the lift, showing the men in first before myself.

"Lab 8, large infirmary." I stated, pressing the button.

"Confirmed. Lab 8 Large infirmary. Motion sensors detect 6 unauthorised in lift. Sequence?"

"Authorise 6 detected in lift, proceed to Lab 8 large infirmary." I stated again. The lift began to move.

"Security in a lift?" In the mirrors Talbot seemed to agree with it with a slight turn of his head.

"Precaution. Motion sensors detect are in every room, corridor and vent, can detect who works for S.O.U.L. or not. A bracelet on their left wrist have a way of allowing the building to let them through or out. If I didn't unauthorised you then this lift would go down to the containment units and drop you there. We'd be alerted and investigate."

"Tight security. Must be big in secrets."

"Yes, you won't be disappointed." I sighed. This was tough.

'A new version of Ward in in the containment unit, he came through at the same time of Simmons, We've sedated him.' David called though, sending an image of him through.

Is that what I would have become? Ward asked. That was clear to him I couldn't dwell on it for much, I had a Colonel to impress.

I felt the lift come to a stop.

"Lab 8. Large infirmary is located on your left." Came the voice again.

"I have to say, that's got to be kinda creepy." Talbot chuckled as we exited and took a sharp left.

"I would have gone for the robotic voice but Raven's scary when she's upset… and angry for the matter. She chose it."

"hmm." He seemed to agree.

"Never underestimate the power of a pissed off pregnant woman. Her more than others."

"Pregnant?"

"You'll know who Raven is by the bump. So, this is the most frequently used infirmary." I opened the large doors to the huge room with a line of metal cots and half a circle to hold the head like a pillow in the head area of the cots. The cots were in the middle of the room, there was the metal table with the medicine on their stands.

"When you said infirmary, I was expecting old wooden beds, injured people and bandages, not a white Sci-fi spaceship hospital."

"Here." I pulled a single stand from the side and walked slowly back to Talbot and placed it on the edge of the cot. "Our medicine do exactly what it says on the bottle. It's how we treat our seekers quickly and efficiently."

"A bottle?" He didn't sound convinced. Picking up the bottle "Come on, I'm a little disappointed here."

"You're underestimating our abilities. "

"You're showing me a label bottle. No, a selection of labelled bottles. I need proof that this does what it says."

"Proof? Good." I knew what to do. I pulled out a file from the side and handed it to the Colonel.

"Isabella Ott. 12. Left in a coma after an accident, broken spine, left her paralyzed from the neck down, internal bleeding, broken bones, littered in cuts; shallow and deep." I said, opening it and showed him the photo, taken for the use of proof.

"An hour after we treated her." I pulled out a second one to see her standing and smiling, still in her hospital gown but not covered in machines and wires. "Perfect health, not a scratch. A greater chance at life than she would have done if we left the doctors to treat her the normal way. If it can heal a spine, gun shots, burns and deep stab wounds would be nothing."

"Still sounds hard to believe." Though Talbot was still looking between both photos.

"I know you'll have to see it in front of you to believe it. I said before this infirmary was mostly used. This is a big department so I know people get injured quite a lot. Everyone who comes in here is logged. So-"

I felt the doors judder before it burst open. Four men came carrying a unconscious woman on a stretcher.

"What happened?" I asked, I could clearly see her arm's was bleeding badly, her jacket smoking. They placed her on the Cot I had been using.

"We were working on the laser pens when the one Scientist Wilter's was working on, she input the wrong frequency and it exploded. We stabilised her and brought her here. Who are they?"

"Not of concern as of yet. Keep her under a section and heal, If you're not needed get back to business, I'll inform you later." The healer said, bustling into the room quickly.

Nodding the men left.

"She's lot a bit of blood, I'll need Restore and cool as well, Blaze." I handed him the medicine, Talbot edging closer. "Colonel Talbot, Behind you in the cupboard can you get the drip, please."

A look of surprise echoed through his face, one of the officers behind him seemed to do it, opening the door and pulled out the small bag and handed it to me. I pulled up the drip pole hidden in the bed corners.

"The burns will heal but to prevent much scaring under the skin, best to keep her hydrated." He explained, spraying two of the bottles, Cool and No Pain into the water bag then attached it to the woman and onto the pole. Pulling Heal, he opened her mouth and sprayed Heal straight into it.

"Steal and Clear." Talbot was suddenly next to me watching as the large burn and cuts seem to heal and fade. The drip next to us suddenly drained and empty. Any fragments of the pen seemed to be pushed out her body, tinkling slightly onto the metal. Clear began to work its way into her clothing, the blood and soot came off in a steam like way, leaving her clothes burnt looking but clean.

"Excuse me." The healer said, checking her vitals.

"What do you think Colonel?" I asked. He turned to look at me, one eyebrow raised in a questioning way, mouth slightly ajar.

"This…is...amazing. Let me guess, the tip of the ice burg?" Talbot said after a few minutes of gaping.

"Yes. We've been working of stocking this in mass productions. All of its naturally grown so no damage to the environment. Our cars will run by Bio fuels. All we need is permissions to sell this to countries to deliver, perhaps a military alliance to gain S.O.U.L. privileges in our tech. I know you yourself will want this for your soldiers and everyone else."

"Show me more. You might have yourself a deal." He grinned, clapping me on the back.

It had gone well. A relief.

Okay, How was this? I need to know people, I need to know. Any comments on it would be very much appreciated. Thanks but….
