Chapter 35: "Usagi Becomes The Moon Princess!"

**** Usagi Becomes The Moon Princess! ****
Usagi had been captured by Kunzite to get the Senshi to hand over
their Rainbow Crystals. Usagi was used as the bait to get the Senshi
to hand over the Rainbow Crystals over to Kunzite. Kunzite however didn't
keep his end of the bargain and kept Usagi as prisoner as well keeping
the Rainbow Crystals for himself. Usagi was so worn out by being drained
by the magical rope, that she felt like she was going to die. The Senshi
couldn't help her now. She thought no one else knew she was held captive
by Kunzite. Usagi thought about the first time that she used the brooch
that Mamoru had bought for her at the flea market and wondered if her destiny
to be Sailor Moon was sort of a fluke. Usagi lay on the floor in tears because
she felt no one could rescue her. The Senshi equally felt bad for Usagi because
they felt Usagi's condition didn't look good. Usagi had no comforts of home for
more than two days. Usagi knew that she could use a nice hot shower among other things.
She was very hungry and at the same time, she was so drained that she had no energy
to eat anything.
At the Hikawa Shrine, the Senshi had an emergency meeting in discussing how to rescue
Usagi from her present enslavement.
"Girls, any ideas on how we save Usagi?"
Luna asked.
"How about using the Moon Stick to locate the Rainbow Crystals, that way, where ever
those Crystals are, that is where Usagi will be."
Ami revealed her thoughts to the others. Luna's eyes lit up as a ray of hope in rescuing
Usagi could prove useful to the team.
"That's wonderful Ami! Let's hope the Moon Stick and Usagi's brooch is there at Mamoru's
apartment. Ami, you and Makoto go over to Mamoru's apartment and see if those items are
there. They will prove useful to us in rescuing Usagi."
Luna ordered. Ami and Makoto left and headed for Mamoru's apartment. When they got there,
Mamoru knocked on the door.
"Hello Ami and Makoto. Anything I can help you with?"
Mamoru asked.
"Can we come in?"
Ami asked.
"Come in girls."
Mamoru told them. Ami spoke.
"We may have a way to rescue Usagi."
Ami told Mamoru.
"We need a couple of items from Usagi's room."
Makoto told Mamoru.
"Go ahead girls, if you think those items can save Usagi."
Mamoru told them. Ami and Makoto ran to Usagi's room. Ami and Makoto
looked around and Ami discovered the brooch and the Moon Stick laying
on top of a table. Ami picked up the brooch and the Moon Stick. Mamoru
was glad that he put the his Rainbow Crystals in his lead vault. He was
hoping that the Moon Stick wouldn't find his Rainbow Crystal, but find
the ones that the enemy had taken. Ami and Makoto went back out to Mamoru's
living room.
"We found the items that we needed. Thank you."
Ami told Mamoru.
"Please let me know if you rescue Usagi."
Mamoru told them.
"Right. We got to go."
Ami told Mamoru and her and Makoto left and returned to the Hikawa Shrine. Once
they returned to the Hikawa Shrine Luna welcomed them back.
"Did you find the Moon Stick?"
Luna asked.
"Yeah, Usagi left it in her room. We also grabbed her brooch too. But how will
these items help her in her current state?"
Makoto replied.
"Ami, please modify the Moon Stick to locate the Rainbow Crystals that the enemy taken
from us and not from Tuxedo Kamen."
Luna ordered. Ami took the Moon Stick and started modifications with her mini computer.
The modifications wasn't going to be easy for Ami since she had to isolate Tuxedo Kamen's
Rainbow Crystals and to locate the ones the enemy has so they can rescue Usagi. Finally
after a couple of hours Ami was done.
"I have isolated the signal from Tuxedo Kamen's Rainbow Crystal for the ones the Dark
Kingdom has. And I detected a very faint signal. And I calculated where the signal is
coming from."
Ami revealed.
"Where?"
Luna asked.
"The signal is coming from the Starlight Tower. I suggest to wait until night fall and then
go to the Starlight Tower. I suggest we leave here about eleven thirty and head to the
Starlight Tower."
Ami revealed a plan of action. Luna smiled and she spoke.
"That's a good idea Ami-Chan, I just hope Usagi can hold out that long."
Luna spoke to Ami and Luna hoped Usagi could hold out that long until the Senshi
could rescue her. At Mamoru's apartment, Mamoru thought about what he had to do.
He had to surrender his Rainbow Crystals. He went to Usagi's room and sat on Usagi's
bed for a moment and thought about her. She needed his help. He went back to the
living room and sat on the sofa. He couldn't get Usagi out of his mind. He had to
save her. He realized that time had passed and he had to go. He got his Rainbow
Crystals from the vault he had and transformed into Tuxedo Kamen and he lept off
the balcony of his apartment and ran down the streets. The Senshi also transformed
heading to the Starlight Tower. Within minutes, Tuxedo Kamen reached the Starlight
Tower and Kunzite teleported him inside the tower. Tuxedo Kamen was teleported to
the first floor of the Tower where Kunzite and Zoicite await for his arrival. Once
he was inside. Kunzite spoke to him.
"welcome Tuxedo Kamen. I suppose you want to see if the girl is alright?"
Kunzite spoke to Tuxedo Kamen as he showed to Tuxedo Kamen an image of Usagi
she was asleep due to the energy drain.
"She is fine for the time being. If you want to duel for all the Rainbow Crystals,
you will surrender your Rainbow Crystals here now and when you get to the top
Zoicite will be waiting to duel with you."
Kunzite spoke as the platter of Rainbow Crystals appeared. And then he spoke
again.
"Place your Rainbow Crystals on the platter and then step back."
Kunzite told him and Tuxedo Kamen placed his Rainbow Crystals on the platter
and backed off.
"Good. I will take the Rainbow Crystals and you will travel to the top of the tower
and there Zoicite will be waiting for you to duel with you."
Kunzite told him and vanished with the seven Rainbow Crystals. Tuxedo Kamen then
went to an elevator and pressed the button that would take him to the top floor.
Outside the Senshi was at the Starlight Tower and were trying to find their way
into the tower. Sailor Jupiter decided not to wait anymore and then prepared to
attack the doors head on.
"I call on my planet of Jupiter, bring storm clouds and thunder... SUPREME THUNDER!"
Sailor Jupiter yelled as electricity was channeled into her tiara and she hurled
it at the doors destroying it. Everyone looked shocked as the doors were destroyed.
"There's nothing like the direct approach. We got a friend to save!"
Jupiter exclaimed and they all ran into the tower. Meanwhile, Tuxedo Kamen was in
the elevator waiting for it to take him to the top of the tower. After several minutes,
she made it to the top of the tower. There was Zoicite waiting to duel with him. Tuxedo
Kamen saw Usagi bound to a pole with the magical ropes she was bound with.
"May I talk with her for a couple of minutes, please?"
Tuxedo Kamen asked.
"Very well. I will also release her since she can't escape due to her being too weak. I
am merciful. I will give you five minutes."
Zoicite told him and he released Usagi which she was bound and removed the force field
and Zoicite vanished for five minutes and Tuxedo Kamen ran to Usagi. Usagi was asleep
due to the energy drain she had been constantly received from the magical ropes. He
shook her gently trying to get her to wake up.
"Usagi, Usagi! Come on wake up!"
He told her as he tried to get her to wake up. She woke up to the sound of his voice.
She replied in a groggy tone.
"Mamo-Chan..."
Usagi replied. Tuxedo Kamen looked surprised that she knew who he was. After a moment
she was fully awake and saw her rescuer.
"Mamo-Chan... you came to rescue me?"
She questioned him.
"Are you okay Usagi?"
Tuxedo Kamen asked again. Tuxedo Kamen wondered how Usagi knew who he was.
"Mamo-Chan... I was hoping you would come to my aide..."
Usagi answered him.
"Usako, are you alright? How do you know who I am?"
Tuxedo Kamen asked.
"Sometime ago, when you got your first Rainbow Crystal I discovered you were really
Mamoru... I am sorry I found out..."
Usagi told him. Tuxedo Kamen smiled.
"Never mind that you know who I am. Are you okay? Do you have strength to stand?"
Tuxedo Kamen asked. Usagi looked at him.
"I am so weak... I have no will to stand..."
Usagi answered.
"Then it is best that you don't stand."
Tuxedo Kamen instructs her.
"I miss my friends. They tried to rescue me, but the enemy tricked them. I am scared.
I am tired and hungry... the enemy treated me so badly... can you take me away from
here?"
Usagi explains her current situation and asks him to take her away from the Starlight
Tower.
"I don't think I can take you out of here at the moment. The enemy will be watching.
Soon it will be over and you can rest all you want. Okay?"
Tuxedo Kamen replied. Usagi just wanted to go home.
"So, the enemy would hurt you if you tried to take me from here?"
Usagi asked.
"Yes, Usako. I can't go against them at this time. Just stay there and I will get you
out of this place. Rest now and it will soon be over."
Tuxedo Kamen tried to comfort her. He stood up and Zoicite returned.
"Now Tuxedo Kamen, we will duel for the Rainbow Crystals."
Zoictie told him as he got his sword ready. Tuxedo Kamen got his cane and prepared
himself to fight.
"Please don't harm Usagi at all. It's me you want, so come and get me. Let this be a
fair fight."
Tuxedo Kamen asked.
"Of course it will be fair and not a hair on her head will be harmed at all."
Zoictie answered. However, Zoicite was cunning and deceitful. An ice shard appeared behind
Usagi and he planned on killing her off. Zoicite released the ice crystal and the ice crystal
went flying at a rapid pace and Tuxedo Kamen quickly got in the way and took the hit for Usagi.
Tuxedo Kamen was stabbed in the back by the ice shard. Tuxedo Kamen fell to the floor. Usagi
made a cry of horror and tried to muster all her strength and she got up and ran to Tuxedo
Kamen. She embraced Tuxedo Kamen and he reached out to touch her face.
"Are you okay Usako? Are you safe?"
Tuxedo Kamen asked.
"Yes... I am alright. I am not injured..."
Usagi answered. Tears flowed freely from her eyes.
"You shed tears for me? It has happened before hasn't it? It was you calling out to me in
my dreams... I am glad you're safe..."
Tuxedo Kamen answered and fainted...
"TUXEDO KAMEN... TUXEDO KAMEN!"
Usagi cried out loud as she was faced the fears of him dying in front of her eyes. The Sailor
Senshi arrived and saw Usagi cradling Tuxedo Kamen.
"Tuxedo Kamen, please don't leave me!"
Usagi's tears began to shine as she cried huddling over Tuxedo Kamen. The Rainbow Crystals
that Kunzite watched over flew in the air and started to descend towards Usagi-Chan's tear
and one by one united with Usagi-Chan's tear. Once the seven crystals united with Usagi-Chan's
tear and the tear flashed and reformed the Silver Crystal. The Silver Crystal shone with great beauty
and grace. Then the Moon Stick that Mercury held on to floated in the air towards the Silver Crystal
and united with the Moon Stick. Then the Moon Stick flashed and stood Usagi up on her feet.
"What's going on?"
Mars asked. The Moon Stick started lift Usagi off the ground. A yellow crescent moon appeared on Usagi's forehead
and the Silver Crystal flashed and Usagi was transformed into the Moon Princess. Usagi now wore a white sparkling
dress that went to her feet. Everybody was stunned including Luna and Artemis.
"Luna, we found her! The Princess has been found!"
Artemis exclaimed. Zoicite looked stunned as well. Who would ever thought that Usagi was the
Princess of the Moon.
"I am glad we have found her. Now we got to protect her and the Silver Crystal."
Luna replied in an excited tone as well. Luna remembered the dream that Usagi had sometime
back after Usagi was rescued by Ami and that she called out to Endymion in her dream.
Luna was relieved to know Usagi was safe now, now came the hard part in keeping Usagi
safe. The Moon Princess shone with great beauty and grace. Usagi seemed to be the one
that was the most surprised about her being the Princess of the Moon. She knew this
would be a new adjustment for her and a new beginning. However, they still had to find
away out of that place. The Senshi was amazed at the sight of finding out that Tsukino
Usagi was the Moon Princess they had been searching for all this time. The time for
the Senshi to protect her had come.
