He looked up at the sky, only to get something cold and unpleasant in one of his eyes. Javik blinked, letting the cold drop of water fall from his eye and onto his finger. He looked at it with a stern expression.
Frozen water crystals…
Fascinating….
Snow, she called it.
Sheila was seated on her knees not far from him, plowing handfuls of this - snow - into a larger pile, clapping it here and there, sounding disappointed when it fall apart, and then started over. What did she find so amusing with this?
She had shown him snow angels, told him about skiing, skating on the ice, building a snowman, even made her own, but he still couldn't see the "fun" in it all.
His skin felt cold; not that he minded, but still. Why was even he with her out here? He could be inside, reading or doing something else. Why did he let himself be dragged around by her?
Sure, they were mates now, but he still had a mind of his own!
He sighed and turned to leave, when something landed on his lower back. It felt hard, but not hard enough to be a punch and it didn't sting so it wasn't a gunshot. He looked back to see a little snow falling from his jacket. He immediately turned his attention at her.
"Where do you think you're going?" she asked, a confused smile on her face.
"Inside. I am cold."
She huffed and stood, brushing the snow of her legs. "You've walked in Geth ships with little to no air or gravity, cold as space, and a little snow gives you the shivers?" she said, her warm breath fogging the air around her in these cold temperatures.
He did not comment on it, but turned again and began to walk.
"I asked you a question!" she said after him, but he continued to walk. "Alright, you asked for it…" Sheila quickly bowed down and picked up two of her snowballs, aiming one and took the shot. It landed half on his shoulder and half on his skin, making a little snow fall inside the protection of his jacket and onto his skin. Javik tensed, first at the feeling of being hit and then at the sudden cold he felt on his neck. He snapped back, looking at her.
She was standing with a smug grin on her face, a snowball in hand. So, that was the way she wanted to play, huh? He could do that.
Javik turned around and faced her, taking a few steps forward. As he did she threw the next snowball, but missed completely. He smirked lightly and flared his biotics, making Sheila take a few steps back, turn and attempt to run, but as she did Javik lifted her pile of snow against her and splashed it all over her.
"Alright! Point taken!" she said, still smiling however. He came over, amused, feeling a little of this "fun" she was speaking off. "Remind me never to challenge you for a snowball fight again. You fight dirty." She said and shook some of the melting snow off her.
"When fighting, no trick is dirty. You do what you must to survive." He said, and she looked at him with a raised brow. "Really?"
He nodded once and then with in the blink of an eye, he bowed down and threw her over his shoulder, carrying her back towards the house. "Javik!" she squealed and began to try and kick him, but it was in vain. She would either follow him or be forced to it! She soon settled, resting her elbows against his back.
"You are no fun." She pouted and a small chuckle ran through her as her mate continued to carry her inside.
