EPISODE 37: BEWITCHING PISCES.
-WITH BLADER D. J.-
"As we speak, at this very moment, somewhere out there, a heated battle is going down! And we know what to say to all those who dedicate their whole lives to beyblade! GO, BATTLE BLADERS! Today we some great news for all you bladers out there! Check it out, my friends! If you win this, you'll rack up 10,000 bey points! Yep! The largest challenge match in history is going to happen real soon! You, and you, and you! Get your beys to Glinsdale City as soon as you can!" D. J. said.
-WITH GINGKA-
Gingka walked up to a huge domed stadium.
"Ha. Wow. There sure are a lot of people here." Gingka started laughing a little. "This place is electric. Can you feel the buzz? Everybody here is pumped to battle to the very end!"
"Gingka!" Came a voice.
Gingka turned around. "Kenta! Benkei!"
"Looking good, Gingka." Benkei said.
"Bonus! I really hoped if i came all the way here that you'd be here too, Gingka." Kenta added.
"Oh come on. Like Gingka would miss a chance to win 10,000 points." Benkei said.
"There's no way we could pass that up either." Kenta added.
"Looks like every blader around is thinking the same thing. Man, there are bladers here from all across the country. There's no way to tell how many strong bladers are in this crowd. We're gonna have to be on our toes all the time." Benkei said.
"I know. Isn't it just great? The whole idea of meeting strong bladers and having awesome challenge matches gets me so psyced up!" Said Gingka.
"Ha. That's just like you, Gingka." Came a voice.
"That's exactly like you, Gingka." Added another voice.
Gingka, Kenta and Benkei saw Hyoma, Cameron and Hikaru walking up to them.
"Hyoma! Hikaru! Cameron!" Gingka said.
Kenta walked up to them. "Hyoma!" They fist bumped.
"So it looks like we meet again." Hyoma said.
"Hey, Gingka, i'm really looking forward to battling you again." Hikaru said.
"Same here, man. I want a rematch." Cameron added.
"Yeah. Right back at ya." Gingka said.
"Now if only Kyoya were here we'd have the whole gang together again." Benkei said.
"Excuse me. Aren't you forgetting someone?" Came a voice.
"Two someones actually." Another voice added.
The gang turned around. "Hey, it's Madoka." Kenta said.
"And Mikey." Cameron added.
"What are you doing here?" Gingka asked.
"Just hangin' out, that's all." Madoka said.
"What she said." Mikey added. There was then a loud honk. "Huh?" Everyone looked and saw an all too familiar glitter pink coded car pull up in front of them.
Amber got out of the driver's seat and closed the door behind her. Sierra got out of the front passenger seat, and Leo and Killua got out of the back seats. "Hi, everyone."
"Amber, Sierra, Leo, Killua. What a suprise." Gingka greeted.
"Hey, Gingka." Sierra said.
"Long time, no see, everyone." Leo added.
"Hey." Killua said.
-A FEW MINUTES LATER-
"Mikey and i have been following everyone's battles on the internet. But i figured that all of you would probably come to this tournament so i just couldn't sit still any more. It's just too exciting." Madoka said. They were all sitting down at a picnic.
"I hear ya." Hyoma said.
"I heard that." Cameron added. Gingka and Benkei were wolfing down food.
"Ya know, there's nothing like the excitement of a live bey battle. Ya know what i mean?" Kenta said.
"Yeah, i can't wait to see you all compete." Madoka said.
"I can't wait to see who wins." Mikey added.
"Exciting, huh? And once i've eaten Madoka's special hamburger, i have a hundred times as much energy." Gingka said.
"Okay, fess up! How many bey points has everyone saved up?" Benkei asked.
"I have 22,500 points." Hikaru said.
"Beat ya! I have 25,000 points!" Benkei said as he showed Hikaru his pointer. Hikaru groaned.
"I have 32,000 points!" Kenta said.
"Ba-bull! You're ahead, when did that happen?" Benkei said.
"I have 35,000 points." Hyoma said.
Benkei got depressed. "H-Hyoma too?"
"Oh yeah? Well i have 45,000 bey points." Cameron added.
"WHAT?!" Benkei gasped.
"45,000? Wow, you're almost eligible to get into Battle Bladers." Sierra said.
"So, uh...what about you, Leo?" Madoka asked.
Leo got out his pointer. "I have 40,000 points."
"And what about you, Gingka?" Hyoma said.
Gingka had food in his mouth as he talked. "Hm? I have 47,000 points." Gingka said as he held up his pointer.
"47,000?!" Benkei gasped before fainting.
"Wow, so you're almost to 50,000 points then." Hikaru said.
"Looks like the first to get into the Battle Bladers will be Gingka. As if that's a suprise." Hyoma said.
"Actually," They turned to Madoka. "Minette already got in." She pulled out her laptop. "At 50,325 bey points, Minette already beat all of you. Then after that, with 50,000 bey points, a 16 year old boy named Matthew Smith, who is Minette's older brother from what we have read, got in at a memorial tournament for the director's wife, who died in an accedent. Suprisingly, the prize was that the winner automatically was qualified. We watched the tournament, but we didn't see any of you participate. Not to mention, from that tournament, i found out that Minette was not only extremely wealthy, but the director of the America WBBA's daughter."
The group got completely shocked. "WHAT?"
"It's all true. Just look at these articles." Mikey showed them a bunch of articles on his laptop. "This memorial tournament is held every year for 5 years, but the prize had only been just 5,000 bey points, but due to the Battle Bladers, they changed the tournament prize to automatic qualification. Minette won once, Matthew won twice, Minette's friend, Cody, won once, and a girl named Raven Yogen won once. Bladers made a protest against the memorial tournament, thinking it was rigged, but then, all the bladers in Miami came and challenged Minette, Matthew, and Raven to a battle, in which they all won. Then, they all did battles on their own, in which they each won their seperate handicap matches. That was the day Minette left on her journey." Benkei fainted again. "Another thing. In the tournaments that Kyoya's been entering lately, i've seen pictures of a girl in the crowd, and in the tournament this girl entered, Kyoya entered as well."
"Do you think..."
"It's obvious." Amber said, cutting Leo off.
"If tha't how it is, you don't even have to compete in a tournament that has so many points! You should sit down and take a nap or something! A nap will do you good! Who doesn't like a nap! Back off and give us a better chance of winning!" Benkei said.
"No way." Gingka said.
"Huh? Why not?" Benkei said.
"'Cause i wont battle." Gingka said. Benkei started crying.
"Well, at least Minette is the only blader that got in to Battle Bladers before Gingka." Cameron said.
"Well now i wouldn't say that." Killua said.
"What do you mean by that?" Cameron asked.
Amber, Sierra, and Killua all held up their bey pointers. Amber's pointer had 50,000 points, Sierra's pointer had 75,000 points, and Killua's pointer had 70,000 points.
"No way! You all gained enough points to get into Battle Bladers?" Gingka gasped.
"Yep." Amber, Sierra, and Killua said.
"Hey, wait a second. How many points does Kyoya got now, Madoka?" Kenta asked.
"Just hang on a sec." Madoka said as she got out her laptop. "40500."
"That's my brother." Leo said with a thumbs up.
"40500?! Wow, that's my Kyoya! But he doesn't have as much as Gingka, right?" Benkei said before crying.
"It's still pretty awesome." Kenta said.
"Well, if he were to win this tournament, he'd have over 50,000." Hikaru said.
"Well that's true." Amber said.
"I doubt he'd pass up this chance to do it." Hyoma said.
"Also true." Amber said.
"He'll be here for sure." Madoka said.
"Without a doubt." Mikey added.
"BA-BA-BA-BULL! KYOYA! KYOYA!" Benkei shouted. "Huh?" He saw a helicopter fly over the dome stadium.
-ELSEWHERE-
The helicopter was coming down on a helicopter pad. Yu was inside the helicopter laughing as it landed. As soon as it landed, Yu came out. "Hey, Tsubasa, Sarah, i can't wait to see who i get to battle against." Tsubasa and Sarah got out of the helicopter.
"Don't forget what we're really hear for." Tsubasa said.
"And stay close, Yu. The last tournament i had to look around three hours." Sarah said.
"I was at the ice-cream stand." Yu said.
"On the other side of town." Sarah said.
"Come on, focus. Just remember our orders, not the ones we give to each other." Tsubasa said.
"Nag, nag, nag." Yu said.
-FLASHBACK-
"10,000 points as bait should call most of the wolves over. I want you to enter the tournament, and then, i want you to make any note about any strong bladers." Doji said. Tsubasa and Sarah were in his office.
"You alway think there will be wolves and they always turn out to be little puppies." Yu said.
"If you only find puppies, then just defeat everyone at the tournament, will you? Those are your orders. Hmm?" Doji said.
-END OF FLASHBACK-
"I'm gonna leave the puppies to you guys." Yu said.
"So what are you gonna do?" Tsubasa asked.
"Eat popcorn and watch incase a wolf shows up." Yu said.
"Sure you will. And i'll start flying." Sarah said. They had entered through the open doors of the building and were walking down the hall. Unaware that two mysterious figures were entering the building behind them.
-WITH GINGKA AND FRIENDS-
"KYOYA! HEY, KYOYA, CAN YA HEAR ME?" Benkei shouted. They were looking around to find Kyoya.
"Guess he's not here." Kenta said.
"Maybe he isn't coming after all." Gingka said.
"Well that's no suprise. Personally, Kyoya has a history of not showing up at things." Leo said.
"What's that? What's that over there?" Kenta asked.
"What's what?" Leo asked. They all turned to see what Kenta was talking about. There was a guy with blue hair, blue lip coloring, in an old fashioned kimono, holding a fan.
"So, like, how will this tournament go?" A boy asked.
The guy with the fan thrusted the fan at the guy who asked him that question. "Please, will you just wait for a moment?"
"Uh..." He jumped up and did some weird dance, throwing things in a bowl of water.
"When the gopher's fur thickens, good fortune lies in the east. So, you should enter not this tournament, but another tournament." The boy said.
"Ah, i wanted those 10,000 points. But there are so many strong competitors going after these points, i guess i should go where i have a better chance." The guy left.
Gingka and the others walked over. Benkei was carrying Kenta on his back.
"Is this guy the real deal?" Asked another guy.
Maybe i should get a reading too. This guy is good." Another guy added.
"Fortune telling?" Gingka questioned.
"Wow, can he really see the future?" Benkei asked.
"I doubt it. My Mom always said that fortune tellers were nothing but scheaming con artist's." Leo said.
"Hey, thank you. Your advise to me was totally bang on. I entered a tournament by the sea and i won a ton of points. Thank you so much." Said a boy.
"Yeah, me too. I changed my bey like you told me too and i won." Said another boy. The guy stuck his fan at him.
"I am extremely humbly delighted, however, i did nothing but speak of the fate laid before you." Said the guy.
"Hey, tell my fortune next." Said a boy.
"No, tell mine!" Said another boy.
"Sounds like he's pretty good at that, ya know. Should we have our fortunes told too?" Gingka said.
"Yeah, yeah, come on, let's do it." Benkei said.
"You guys just don't listen, do ya?" Leo said.
"If you need his help, you're in serious trouble." Kyoya said.
"It's just a shame. It's a bunch of tricks. It always will be." Added Mio.
"Kyoya!" Gingka, Kenta, Benkei and Leo said.
"You made it after all! Kyoya!" Benkei said. He tried to hug Kyoya, but he kept him with one hand.
"Back off." Kyoya said.
"Man, Kyoya's a lot stronger then i thought." Leo said.
"Hey, guys." Came a voice. They all looked and saw Minette. They then started interrogating her.
"How come you never told us you were filthy rich?" Benkei asked.
"Why did you keep it a secret that your dad was the director of the WBBA?" Kenta asked.
"Why didn't you ever tell us you had a brother?" Leo asked.
"Why didn't you ever tell us your Mom died?" Gingka asked.
"For peat sake, give her some air, will ya?" Kyoya said and they backed off.
"Thank you, Kyoya. At least someone remembers my claustrophobia." Minette said. "Don't trust these guys. They're always wrong. They told my Mom she would live a long time, that Cody would be one of the greatest bladers to ever live, and that Matthew would be the beyblade world champion at 16, and none of those happened."
"Besides, anyone who needs a fortune teller is a third rate blader with no self confidence. I only need me to win against Gingka. And i will beat you." Kyoya said.
"You tell 'em, Kyoya." Mio said.
Gingka and the others turned to her. "And you are?" Gingka asked.
"Mio. Mio De Vil." She then noticed Minette. "And who might you be?"
"I'm Minette. Minette Smith."
"Oh it's a plesure to meet you, Minette. Kyoya's told me all about you. You're all he talks about." Mio said.
"Hey, keep it down, will ya?" Said one of the boys in the crowd.
"Sorry!" Kenta said.
The guy got up. "You there!" He pointed his fan at Gingka.
"Huh?" Said Gingka.
"I know that you are Gingka." Said the guy.
"You know who i am?" Gingka questioned.
"Gingka, everyone knows who you are." Leo said.
"Of course. You are the famous user of Pegasus. There is no one who does not know you. And also, Gingka, i see that your friend, Kyoya, is standing at your side." Said the guy.
"Yeah, so what?" Kyoya said.
"I also see your friend, Minette there, the director's daughter." The guy said.
"Anyone with a computer and half a brain can figure that out." Came a male voice. The gang looked behind them and saw Nene and Christopher.
"Christopher! Nene! Long time, no see." Gingka said.
"Hi, everyone. Nice to see you again." Nene said.
"Minette." Said the guy. They all turned their attention back to him. "You have such a tragic past, and quite a dangerous future. But for the present, i can see romantic ties between you and your friend, Kyoya, felt on both sides."
"That kind of thing is private, and not something for you to announce to the world. And just remember, i am the director's daughter, and since you're on WBBA property, i can have this whole show shut down!" Minette said.
"I can asure you this is no trick. All i have to say is honost and true. I can see a strong conection between you and Lady Shadow. You have quite an extaordinary destiny planned out, but a painful trip to it as well." The guy said.
"So are you a blader too?" Gingka asked.
"Indeed." Said the guy.
"Then let's battle right now. I think i can predict your future, pal. You're going down for the count." Kyoya said.
"Don't do it, Kyoya!" Kenta said.
"Kyoya!" Benkei said.
"Here i go." Kyoya said.
"Kyoya." Gingka said.
"Oh yeah? Out of my way!" Said a guy before shoving Kyoya aside.
"Hey, watch it!" Kyoya said.
"Jerk!" Leo added.
"You quack! Everything! Everything you told me was wrong! Now you're gonna pay for that!" The guy said.
"Well then you must have misunderstood me." The blue haired guy said.
"You told me to enter a tournament down south! But i lost big time! What have you got to say now?" The guy said.
"I believe i told you to wait until next week to go. You did not possess the good fortune yet." The blue haired guy said.
"Save it! As pay back, i'll take your points." Said the guy as he got out his launcher.
"If that is how you feel, then i have no choice. I shall be your opponent." Said the blue haired guy before he jumped over the crowd and landed on his feet.
"Take this!" Said the guy.
"Let It Rip!" Said the blue haired guy as he and the other guy launched their beys. "Thermal Pisces!"
"Whoa, Thermal Pisces!" Gingka said.
The blue haired guy made a star shape with the fan in his hand. "Good luck come my way, good luck come my way, good luck come my way!" Repeated the blue haired boy. He placed his hand, the one with the fan it, on the ground. Then his bey started flinging the opponent one.
"What?" The other guy gasped. His bey was then sent flying in the sky.
"Uh, what just happened?" Benkei asked.
"The bey went flying, even though it wasn't hit." Gingka said.
"Oh yeah? I'll be back!" Said the guy before running off. The blue haired guy's bey returned to his hand.
"That was awesome! Hey, so will you battle with me some time? Of course i mean in a proper battle." Gingka said.
"Do not be anxious. You cannot go up against fate." The blue haired guy said.
"Huh?" Gingka said. He was really confused.
"Fate." The blue haired guy walked past Minette next. "The same goes for you, Minette Smith, though in a different context. You should listen to Lady Shadow and stop trying to change it."
Minette was shocked.
"Fate." He said creepily before leaving.
"He knows about Lady Shadow speaking with me? These can't just be really good guesses, because that's one too many, and one no one would ever guess because it seems so impossible. Who exactly is that guy? And what is he after?" Minette thought.
-INSIDE THE DOME STADIUM-
Colored smoke clouds and fireworks were popping out for the challenge match.
"Buckle up, folks, the challenge match for 10,000 bey points begins now!" D. J. said as the dome started opening up, revealing four stadiums down below. "Let the first round begin! Let's start with a bang! I think you all know one of our first competitors!" Gingka was raised up on a platform in one of the stadiums.
"I've been excited to get started since i got here! Let's get the beyblades spinning, you guys!" Gingka said.
-IN THE STANDS-
Gingka's friends were cheering him on in the stands.
"Come on, let 'em have it, Gingka!" Kenta said.
"Alright! Show 'em how it's done in the beyblades!" Benkei added.
-IN A PRIVATE BOX-
Tsubasa and Sarah were sitting down in a private box for their use, while Yu was standing up, looking out the window at the battle.
"I'm suprised Gingka is first." Tsubasa said.
Yu turned around. "The crowd sure seems to think it's a good idea."
"I'd rather get the boring battles out of the way so that you can enjoy the good ones, but i guess that's just me." Said Sarah. Then she noticed something. "Hey, Minette's in the crowd. Maybe i should go say hi."
"We're here for a reason, not for a social call." Tsubasa said.
"Right. Sorry. I'll talk to her later." Sarah said.
-BACK IN THE ARENA-
"First off, here's the blader with the highest number of points! It's G-G-G-G-GINGKA! And his opponent, who has claimed magician as his profession on his application, using Thermal Pisces, it's RYUTARO!" D. J. said.
-IN THE STANDS-
"Isn't that?" Kenta said.
-WITH GINGKA AND RYUTARO-
"It's you?" Gingka asked the blue haired boy.
Ryutaro laughed. "Battling a star like Gingka in this stadium is the ultimate honor, and i accept that honor humbly." He flicked his wrist and his fan came out.
"Who would have guessed that you'd be my opponent?" Gingka said.
"I would have guessed that. I've known that i would be battling for a long time. It's why i came to this town." Ryutaro said.
"How did you know that?" Gingka asked.
"With a wave of my fan, i can see the future, Gingka. Do not forget that as you enter battle with me." Ryutaro said.
Gingka was speachless.
-IN THE STANDS-
"No way. I've never heard of a blader that's a magician before." Hyoma said.
"Neither have i." Cameron added.
"It's just unscientific." Madoka said.
"He must be putting us on!" Benkei said.
"But you saw it too, Benkei. Remember when he sent that bey flying without even touching it?" Kenta said.
"Yeah. Still...i don't know." Benkei said.
"I refuse to believe it. I've met magicians, and they use tricks that anyone could figure out if they pay close enough attention." Christopher said.
"I agree." Leo added.
"Nothing but parlor tricks." Hikaru added.
"Yeah, well, he'd still better watch his step today." Hyoma said.
"Yeah, totally." Cameron added.
"How do you know it's a trick? That could be a real magician." Amber said.
"Amber, please. Look, if this turns out to be a real magician, i'll take you shoping wherever you wanna go. Deal?" Sierra said.
"Deal." Amber added.
"But how are we suppose to know if weather or not this is a real magician?" Killua asked.
"I bet if Mikey analyzes the battle, a perfectly scientific reason will show up." Nene added.
"Why didn't i think of that?" Mikey said. He got his laptop out and was ready to analyze the battle once it started.
"Because us girls are smarter." Mio said.
Minette laughed. "Oh that's a good one, Mio, that's a good one."
-WITH GINGKA AND RYUTARO-
"This is tense! Who is going to walk away the winner? The heavenly favored Gingka or the newbie, Ryutaro? Let's find out! Let the challenge match for 10,000 points and an orange diamond begin!" D. J. said.
"3-!"
"2-!"
"1-!"
"Let It Rip!" Gingka and Ryutaro launched their beys.
"GO, PEGASUS! Rock him now and send a message!" Gingka said. Pegasus went in for an attack, but it went right through Pisces.
-IN THE STANDS-
"Whoa, smooth move!" Benkei said.
"Did you guys see that? Pegasus went right through Pisces!" Leo gasped.
-WITH GINGKA AND RYUTARO-
"I'm just getting started!" Gingka said. Pegasus turned around and went in for another attack. Ryutaro started making a pentagram design with his fan.
"Good luck come my way, good luck come my way, good luck come my way." Ryutaro said. He put his hand with the fan on the ground. Pisces started flinging around Pegasus.
-IN THE STANDS-
"No way!" Kenta said.
"He did it again!" Benkei added.
-WITH GINGKA AND RYUTARO-
Pegasus was sent flying out of the stadium.
"Unbelievible! Pegasus has been sent flying even though it wasn't even touched!" D. J. said.
"I've seen that move before! PEGASUS!" Gingka said. Pegasus changed it's direction and landed just barely in the stadium.
"It's back on, folks!" D. J. said.
"I don't know if it's magic, but that same move won't work on me." Gingka said.
"Then how about you try this one on for size." Ryutaro said. He started doing a weird little dance of some sort. "Rise into the sky, Pisces." Pisces started floating in mid air.
"Z-Z-Z-Zoinks! Pisces is floating in mid air. Have you ever seen anything like it?" D. J. said. Ryutaro started laughing a bit. Pegasus couldn't attack because of the fact it was floating.
"What's going on here?" Gingka asked.
-IN THE STANDS-
"How do you make a bey float like that?" Kenta asked.
"Maybe it really is magic." Minette said.
"Maybe this guy really can use magic after all, you guys." Benkei added.
"Yeah, and maybe birds will fly out of my pants." Christopher said.
"It doesn't make sence, Benkei." Madoka said.
"It doesn't have to. It's magic after all." Amber said.
Madoka got out her laptop. "There just has to be a reason."
"Oh yeah, like what?" Mikey asked.
-WITH GINGKA AND RYUTARO-
"I do not enjoy your sadness. Gingka, you should just give up right now. You know that you will not win against my magic." Ryutaro said.
"Fat chance pal!" Gingka said.
"I said you cannot win against my magic." Ryutaro said.
"You're gonna need to pull a few more rabbits out of your fan. Pegasus!" Gingka said. Pegasus jumped up.
"You're being foolish i'm afraid. I must show you more power." Ryutaro said. He started doing his dance again. "Special Move. DISTORTION DRIVE!" Pegasus went right through Pisces. Everyone gasped. Including Tsubasa, Sarah and Yu.
"Did it miss?" Gingka asked.
"I'm not finished." Ryutaro said.
"What?" Gingka asked. "What gives? I feel all dizzy."
"Now you'll see a move that only Pisces can produce. The Distortion Drive has created, well, a Special Space." Ryutaro said. His eyes shot open.
"A special space? What are you talking about?" Gingka asked. Then he noticed what Ryutaro ment. There was no more floor underneath him. "Whoa! Where are we?"
Ryutaro started laughing. "This is a special Space that was created by Pisces! Absolutely no one can escape from here, Gingka."
"So says you! Pegasus!" Gingka said. Pegasus started charging at Pisces.
"In this space, challenging Pisces is a total waste of time. Now accept your fate!" Ryutaro said. He placed his hand on the ground again and Gingka's headache got worse.
"Oh my head! That really hurts me!" Gingka said.
-IN THE STANDS-
"What's happening?" Sierra asked.
"What's going on here?" Benkei asked.
"Something's wrong here!" Madoka said.
"Well we can see that." Killua said.
"Gingka looks confused." Madoka said.
"I know, but confused by what?" Mikey asked.
"Look at this." Madoka showed everyone her laptop. "Pisces is shaking!"
"I noticed Gingka started attacking strangely when Pisces began shaking." Hyoma said.
"So did i." Cameron added.
-WITH GINGKA AND RYUTARO-
"I won't lose. Pegasus, send Pisces flying through this weird space." Gingka said. Pegasus started charging towards Pisces.
"Oh stop being ridiculous." Ryutaro said. Pegasus missed again.
"What's wrong, Pegasus?" Gingka asked. Pegasus kept going around Pisces.
"This space is controlled by me and Pisces. Pegasus cannotmeven touch Pisces here! Quite the puzzle, isn't it, my friend?" Ryutaro said.
"What is going on? Pegasus is unable to attack Pisces. It seems like Pegasus is swerving on it's own." D. J. said.
-IN THE STANDS-
"With all this fortune telling and magic, this isn't even a fight." Kenta said.
"Give your head a shake! There's no such thing as magic, Kenta!" Kyoya said.
"Or at least this isn't it. Beyblade works strictly on science." Mikey added.
"They're right you know. That whole magic thing is just a bunch of supersticious nonesence." Christopher said.
"But this guy has got some freaky bey that can float in the air!" Benkei said.
"But there has to be a reason. After all, planes can fly through the sky, you know." Madoka said as she worked on her laptop.
"To be perfectly honost, Madoka, i've never really understood that either." Benkei said.
"Listen to me then! Air Planes are designed to have the power of flight based on their aerodynamics." Madoka then realized something. "That's it!"
"What's it?" Kenta asked.
"Yes, do tell." Amber added.
"The air!" Madoka said.
"Yeah, what of it?" Sierra asked.
"Check it out. The secret is in the shape of the fusion wheel! The fusion wheel that Pisces has acts like the wings on a plane. It can change the flow of the air around it." Madoka said.
"Well that's how the bey floated then." Kenta said.
"Mystery solved." Nene added.
"Case closed." Leo spoke.
"So it wasn't magic after all." Benkei said.
"Looks that way." Mio added.
"No, it was science, Benkei. It also explains why Pegasus cannot attack Pisces." Kyoya said. "It's the same as Leone. Pisces changes the air flow and creates an invisible wall of air around it."
"I get it!" Kenta said.
"Me too! Uh..get what exactly?" Killua asked.
"If the Lion Gale Force wall is a wall of wind that blows it's opponent away, then Pisces has a wall that repels it's opponent by making it ride on the air flow. Pisces is a bey that can freely change the air flow around it. Ya following me?" Madoka said.
-WITH GINGKA AND RYUTARO-
Gingka was going "ow" about his head.
-IN THE STANDS-
"But why does Gingka seems to be in so much pain? Is tha because of the air too?" Kenta asked.
"Yeah, probably. There must be a change in air pressure." Hyoma said.
"Air pressure?" Everyone said in unison.
"I don't get Gingka's headache either. Air doesn't give headaches." Minette said.
"Sure it does. If you climb up somewhere really high, your ears ring and your head hurts, am i right?" Hyoma said.
-WITH YU, TSUBASA AND SARAH-
Yu was discussing this topic with Tsubasa and Sarah. "It's not only the air flow, but the air pressure that Pisces can control."
"He's making Gingka dizzy and giving him a headache." Tsubasa said.
"He's making it so Gingka can't fight as well as he can. That's just cowardly." Sarah added.
"He's pretty good. Looks like Gingka will be eliminated in the very first round." Yu said.
"If he is, then we'll know that Gingka is no threat to us." Tsubasa said.
"Let's just hope that if that happens, we can get this guy on our side. Cowardly or not, he seems to bring results." Sarah said. Yu started laughing.
-WITH GINGKA AND RYUTARO-
"You know, Gingka, i can see the future, and the future is telling me that you and Pegasus are going to lose this battle." Ryutaro said.
"Did i hear you say losing?" Gingka asked.
"Yes. No matter how hard you try, the future cannot be changed. You should gracefully give up." Ryutaro said.
"No way, i'll never ever give up. Pegasus is still spinning!" Gingka said.
"Is it?" Ryutaro asked.
"My Pegasus is still trying to battle, so i will too! I absolutely refuse to cave! GO, PEGASUS!" Gingka said. Pegasus charged right at Pisces.
"What do you think you're doing?" Ryutaro asked.
"You say it's my fate to be defeated, i say i'll change it! Pegasus, full power!" Gingka said. Pegasus started circling around Pisces extemely fast. Pegasus then made a ring of blue fire.
"This is amazing! Pegasus is f-f-f-f-fired up!" D. J. said.
-IN THE STANDS-
"W-w-what's happening?" Benkei asked.
"It's heat from friction. By spinning faster than should be possible, Pegasus is creating incredibley high heat." Madoka said.
-WITH GINGKA AND RYUTARO-
"W-w-w-what is this?" Ryutaro asked. Pegasus started creating a vortex from the rapid spinning.
"Burn, Pegasus!" Gingka said.
"G-Gingka, what are you, what are you planning to do?" Ryutaro asked.
"I don't know! I just don't wanna lose! I just don't wanna give up!" Gingka said. The space made by Pisces disappeared and was replaced by a blue space.
"W-what? What is this? Who are you?" Ryutaro asked.
"Me. I'm just a blader." Gingka said. Now they were in outer space. "I will make my own future! That is the blader's spirit!" Pegasus launched into the sky.
"It can't be!" Ryutaro said. Pegasus landed on Pisces and sent it right out of the stadium.
"What a great battle that was!" D. J. said. Gingka called Pegasus back to his hand. "Pegasus crushes Pisces, and wins the first round!"
Ryutaro crumpled to his knees. "I can't believe it. My Distortion Drive was broken."
-IN THE STANDS-
Gingka's friends were all cheering for his victory.
"Gingka won it, you guys!" Kenta said.
"But how did he win this one?" Hikaru asked.
"Ya got me." Nene said.
"Pegasus's heat and circling produced a strong updraft. That created a vacuum for a split second." Madoka said.
"The air was completely sucked away. So then there was no way to control it." Hyoma said.
-WITH YU, TSUBASA AND SARAH-
"Well that's Gingka for ya. He's the real deal." Yu said.
"Yeah." Tsubasa said. He was smiling in a devious way. "He's getting stronger and stronger." He thought.
"Tsubasa?" He was snapped out of his thoughts by Sarah.
"Hm?" Tsubasa said.
"You zoned out or something? You alright?" Sarah asked.
"Oh, yeah, i'm fine." Tsubasa said.
-IN THE STANDS-
"He refused to accept his fate, and changed the future. Gingka, huh? Now there's a real blader." Ryutaro thought. Gingka's victory gave Minette a new hope...a new hope for freedom.
