I would like to state I do not own either Haven or Buffy the Vampire Slayer

A different kind of Haven

Summary: As Buffy is standing on the bus terminal, she is looking at her future destinations. She sees a place that makes her think it will be a nice calm, peaceful place to settle in. None other than Haven, Maine.

Previously: "So Buffy, How is it that you found your way all of the way across the country? I personally was thinking that you were in Belgium." Xander stated trying to lift some tension that was in the car.

"Xander, why on Earth would I have gone to Belgium?" Buffy asked her manly best friend.

"I am not really sure, but that is what I thought." Xander said with a chuckle.

Thus causing everyone else to laugh as well.

A/N: I am sorry about the delay in chapters. In the near future there will be more chapters coming soon, but I have had a case of writers block and I have been working. I promise to update as frequently as I possibly can. This is my first story and I am looking for any type of feedback. Please let me know with a review if you like the story. I would like to thank any reviewers that I have had. On with the show.

Chapter 37

After everyone had quieted down from the laughter, they all fell into a companionable silence for the rest of the trip back to Sunnydale.

Once they had reached the cit y limits, Buffy could have sworn that she had just seen Angel again. Only this time, he was leaving a butcher shop.

'I must be seeing things. There is no way that that could have been Angel. He was dead not even two days ago,' Buffy thought to herself.

"What's wrong Buffy? You look like you had just seen a ghost. I mean, this is the Hell-Mouth, so anything is possible I guess." Willow managed to stop her babble, so Buffy could answer her question.

"I think that I may have done just that, but I need to talk to Giles before I mention anything about it, but thanks for caring Wills." Buffy said, as she bent over to give her friend a sideways hug from her seat in the backseat of Cordy's car.

Once they had made it past the city limits of Sunny-HELL, the ride was rather quick to Buffy's house.

"Thanks Cordy. I really appreciate the ride, and for just being here." Buffy said to her once enemy.

"Not a problem Buffy. See you at the meeting tomorrow. Do you need a ride or anything?" Cordy asked Buffy.

"No thanks. I am going to be riding with my mom, Giles, Nathan, and the new Slayer and her Watcher. But thanks anyways. Do you want me to ride with you to take the others home and I could just run home? I mean, it is not dark yet, but that can never be as safe as you think." Buffy asked.

All in one voice, the whole group in the car spoke at once with a solid, "NO!"

'Wow weird much.' Buffy thought to herself.

"Alright guys, I get it. I will see you all tomorrow, or later on tonight at the Bronze. I really want to hang out there at least one more time." Buffy said, as she got out of the car.

'They are all acting weirder than normal. I wonder what is going on here?' Buffy thought to herself as she waved goodbye to her friends as they pulled away.

Once Buffy walked up to her front door, she was debating whether or not to knock or just walk inside.

Buffy thought about it for a minute and decided on the second option was better.

'It is still my house for now after all. I just hope that the new girl will not attack me.' Buffy thought to herself, as she positioned her bag on her shoulder and open the door.

As Buffy walked into the house, she realized that there were no major changes yet.

Buffy walked into the living room, noticed that there were two unknown people sitting in various chairs.

Buffy noticed the power before the actual person. Once Buffy took a look at the new girl, she realized that this Faith girl really loved her leather.

"Hello. You must be Faith and Wesley. It is a pleasure to meet the two of you. I am Buffy Summers. I am sorry that we are not meeting during better circumstances." Buffy said, as she finished her ramblings.

"No biggie B. just glad that you are 5x5 and all. How was your trip back to the good old Hell-Mouth?" Faith asked to make some form of conversation to try and break the tension in the room.

"The flight was actually really good. No problems at all. Were you able to find all of my weapons easily enough?" Buffy asked her sister Slayer.

"Sure did B, and can I say that you have some great taste in shiny and sharp items." Faith stated, as wide smiles began to form on both of the young Slayer's faces while talking about this topic. Before Buffy could jump in, Faith continued on. "I got to say though B, the fake wall in your closet, and the false bottom on your trunk...All I can say is that I think that I am in love with those, and I may just have to keep them." Faith finished with a look of pure want and need in her eyes.

"I think that that can be arranged Faith. I am just going to do a double check of the weapons that I am going to be taking back to Maine with me, and then I will leave the rest for you to have. I already have replaced my trunk and weapon's closet that I have down in the basement, so my trunk, my bedroom closet, and my baby will be left for you to have and use." Buffy finished with a sly smirk on her face.

"Yo B! Me and kids do not mix, and what is this about the basement? I have not been down there yet." Faith said with a look of shock on her face at the mention of babies.

"So you have not seen all of the weapons yet. Follow me please, and I will show you exactly what my baby really is. I had to work on this in secret. Luckily mom really hates basements, and she said I could use it for whatever." Buffy said with a shrug of her shoulders, as the three of them were now standing in front of the basement door.

Buffy had just moved a picture that was off to the side of the door that revealed a security keypad.

"you can never be to sure when it comes to home security." Buffy said, as she began to punch in a security code.

Once the door was unlocked, the trio made their way downstairs. At the moment they hit the bottom of the stairs, the lights came on on their own to lighten up the entire basement.

As soon as the lights came on, Buffy turned around to take a look at the newcomers faces.

"HOLY BATCAVES BATMAN! You have your own secret lair? This is so flippin awesome! Who all knows about this place?" Faith asked, as she and her Watcher were coming out of their stupor.

"Nobody actually. Not even Giles. Mom hated basements, so she gave me free reign to do as I pleased with it. So, I decided to make a Slayer's dream come true. I am going to be taking some, if not most of the weapons from down here, but all of the training equipment will be yours. I am the only one that knows the pass code, so I will give that to the two of you. Every Slayer needs a proper training area. Since Giles and I always had the library I never felt the need to share this place with anyone, but you do not even have that. Since I couldn't train at the school everyday, I decided I needed something for the days I couldn't go there. Anyways, when we leave for good, this is all yours Faith." Buffy said, as she spread her arms out wide and turned around in two complete circles.

"I do not know if I can except this B. I mean this is just way to much." Faith started, but was cut off by Buffy.

"No it is not. Actually mom wants to talk to the two of you when she gets home, but in the mean time how about you guys help me pack up what I will be bringing to Maine with me? Afterward, maybe we can spar a little bit and I can show you how everything down here works. I mean the computers and the maps and stuff. It has helped me time and again figuring out where the bad guys are going and helping with different battle plans and stuff. We could even go on a patrol, and I could show you all the hot spots are in town. Even the Demon Bars too." Buffy finished.

All Faith could do in response was just nod her head.

Once the talking was finished, the trio began to pack up all of the boxes that Buffy had provided for shipment.

"One thing is really bugging me B? How will you be able to get this stuff all of the way across the country? I mean, you can not get this shit through any security at airports or bus depots or any thing. This is a bit of a conundrum for me B, I got to say." Faith said, as she was literally scratching her head trying to think of an answer.

"Do not think to hard on it Faith. We are going to be shipping them with my mom's stuff from her Gallery. We will be marking the crates and stuff "MEDEVIL WEAPONRY EXIBIT". That way we will not have to worry about the whole Security thingy issue. Cool Huh?" Buffy said with a smile on her face.
