I own nothing. Enjoy!

Area-Z(2): Medical Bay

The smell of antiseptic was something Aile didn't want to wake up to, but it was just her luck when she opened her eyes, to find herself in a hospital bed.

Shifting her body into a sitting position she slowly looked around the room, the beeps from the heart monitor not really letting her relax. Looking down at herself she saw all of the wires and bandages that covered her body.

Looking up from her wounds she then turned her head to look out the massive window, she mentally kicked herself for not having noticed that before. The fact that the clouds were moving was also something that she felt that she should have realized sooner.

"I am not having the best morning am I?"

"Depends on what your definition of a 'good' morning is."

Aile jumped, and then all of the delayed feelings of pain rushed to her, it felt as if her ribs had been run over repeatedly. Gripping her now hurting chest she winced and turned to the origin to the voice. She smiled weakly when she saw that it was Yuki, who sat on a chair looking towards Aile's bed with her sheathed sword in her arms.

The stern look she was getting from the girl told her that Yuki was not happy. She was about to say something, but she was cut off by Yuki leaping from her chair and pulling Aile into a hug, her weapon falling to the floor with a loud clatter. Aile began to feel Yuki's shoulders shake.

"Idiot, we all thought you died."

Aile frowned, she had made everyone worried? She didn't mean to, but it just happened.

"Where is everyone? Prairie?"

Yuki pulled back and shook her head, Aile raised an eyebrow as she waited for the girl to answer.

"Everyone waited to make sure that you were going to survive, they then went out to assist in repairing the city. Prairie has been locked up in her room, she only left to see the launch of our airbase."

Aile visibly twitched, it made Yuki look at her with concern, but Aile, upon noticing the worry, smiled and waved her hands.

"Hehe, sorry just a little surprised. Curious, can you go get Prairie? I am sure that she would also like to know that I am awake."

Yuki gave a small smile as she stood, retrieving her weapon she fastened it to her waist and turned to Aile.

"Are you sure you want to? I mean, you did just wake up."

"Yes, it wouldn't be fair if you were the only one to see me awake."

"Always thinking of others when you should be more concerned about yourself."

"I am alive aren't I? I will have time to worry about myself when I am either dead, or unconscious."

Yuki chuckled as she walked over to Aile, placing a light kiss on her head she ruffled Aile's hair and left. Aile frowned at the sight of a random strand of lavender hair fall before her face.

"This again? I would like it if my hair would retain its original length, or color."

The girl blinked, a realization hitting her harder than Serpent's fist had. Her head felt, empty, it felt as though something was missing.

"It could be from what happened in the Memorium Code, or could be from all of that energy you used up killing the Snake."

Aile shifted her gaze to the new girl that had suddenly popped into existence beside her. Mère smiled as she moved the chair closer to the bed.

"Oh, when did you get here?"

"Now, you know that I can't reveal my secrets. I would be a pretty boring parent if I did."

Aile chuckled, leave it to Mère to say something like that, shaking her head she returned her gaze to her mother as she motioned for her to continue.

"Ah, well Aile. It would seem that, based on what I was told by my fragment in you, O gave his life to merge with yours, the power you used when killing Serpent also seems to have burned out the Livemetal. I don't think you'll be able to use it anymore."

"Am I going to die because of it?"

Mère began laughing as she placed a hand on her daughters shoulder, a small smile forming as a box materialized in her hand.

"No, your Cyber-Elf body should be able to compensate the missing energy from Model O, heck you'll probably live a lot longer now, and considering you girlfriend is a Repliroid, this could be a good thing."

"Okay, what's the box for then?"

The girl smiled as she placed it onto Aile's lap, Aile looked at it with curious eyes, this made Mère laugh more than she was already. Aile opened to box and her eyes widened as she turned to her mother.

"I thought that you would be too bored with civilian life, so I scavenged around and put this little thing together."

Reaching into the box Aile slowly extracted its contents, in her hand was a Model W fragment, however it was colored completely white with a blue gem at its crest. Aile looked to her mother with worry, but Mère waved her hand.

"Do not worry. There is no residual corruption that Serpent's had. This is a blank Livemetal that you can turn into anything you would like it to be."

"Really, so it is safe?"

"Yes, and because I worked my Cyber-Elf magic, as long as this fragment exists, Yuki will no longer have to worry about dying without the W Core. I would rename this Livemetal, so as not to have Yuki or the others go crazy."

"Model A."

"A?"

Aile smiled as her hand tightened around the newly christened Livemetal, a breif flash of light in its center gem told her that it was happy to have a name.

"Yes, it stands for 'Model Aile'."

Mère chuckled and ruffled Aile's hair before she stood up, Aile looked at her mother with curiousity.

"Sorry to cut this short, but I need to tidy up my house for a visitor, you can come by when you get better."

With that Mère took a step away from the bed and vanished, leaving several energy particles that Aile waved to. Putting the Livemetal back in its box she opened the drawer of the table next to her bed and placed the box inside.

It was a good thing that Aile completed the task when she did, for at that moment a pink blur exploded from the door and latched onto her in a near bone crushing hug. Aile wheezed as she was pushed back, looking up into the pleading eyes of Prairie, Aile smiled as she placed a hand on the girl's cheek.

"Hey Prairie, I'm home."

Area-A{Undisclosed Location}: Mère's home

Mère hummed quietly as she poured herself a cup of tea. She sat patiently, waiting for her visitor to arrive. There were many things that the two needed to disscuss. The two hadn't been in contact for several decades, so it was quite surprising of a feat that she managed to sit still.

Looking around her home she smiled at the sight of the massive gardens and fountain that adorned her massive yard. She never set foot in these gardens however, out of respect for all of the work that went into it.

In the midst of the thoughts she heard the slight sound of her front door opening and closing, smiling she formed another teacup and began pouring tea as she felt a hand on her shoulder.

"Strange, I don't recall you ever liking tea."

"What can I say, you and Yuki have ruined every other kind of drink for me."

The person behind her chuckled as she removed her hand and moved to take a seat. The girl wore a faded red dress with white gloves and boots, her long blonde hair pulled back into a ponytail. The girl smiled as she took a sip form her tea. Mère looked at the girl's head to see a faded red triangle that was almost hidden by her spiky bangs.

"So, you actually managed to complete the process?"

"Yes, but you know that this is not what I came here to disscuss."

Mère smiled sheepishly as the girl put down her cup and crossed her arms.

"Why am I just now hearing about our daughter's incarceration in Serpent's facility and her adventure?"

"If I knew where you where I would have called Ciel."

"A fair argument, but you are the Mother Elf, why didn't you save her?"

"Come on Ciel, it should have been obvious that I was still distraught at your 'loss'."

"And for that I apologize."

"Anyway, It took all I had to not go on a genocidal rampage when I thought I lost Aile, just knowing that I gave her Model O so she could live was enough to calm my rage."

"You gave her Model O? You gave our daughter an incomplete Livemetal?"

"He kept her alive didn't he?"

Ciel nodded, knowing she couldn't deny that, Mère gave her a pleading look as she picked up her cup to take another sip.

"I know I screwed up Ciel, but I tried everything I could to keep her alive this time. Yuki even did her best to try and complete the missing parts of O's programming, but she isn't you. I tried."

Ciel shook her head and smiled as she placed a hand onto Mère's, giving it a reassuring squeeze.

"Well, if that is the case then I probably should stay and help you with that."

"What, where did that come from?"

"Well, as I learned, you suck at being a mother all by youself."

Mère fumed slightly at the insult, but she then smiled as Ciel began to giggle. Ciel stood, pulling Mère into a standing position as well, meeting in a hug.

"So, for an undetermined amount of time I shall stay and help you with that, besides I want to get to know who our daughter has grown up into."

"Before that, could we play catch up?"

Ciel chuckled and shook her head as the two seperated.

"Fine, lead the way."

Aile sighed, it had been a long day. Her day had been filled with fun as the others found out she had woken up, she knew Yuki had something to do with that, not that she was complaining.

Turning her head she looked to all of the cards and gifts that her friends had given her. She reached back and picked up one of the books that Zero had gotten her.

Flipping through its pages she soon felt her eyes getting heavy, it wasn't helping her that the room was filled with the warm glow of the setting sun. That was the only compliment she was going to give when flying above the clouds.

Just as she felt the sudden need for sleep she heard a knock at her door, sitting up she rubbed her eyes and turned to the door.

"Come in."

The door slid open and the nurse Rose walked in, she motioned towards the door and smiled.

"Aile, there is one last visitor here to see you, I apologize for how late it is."

"No, its fine, Send them in."

Rose nodded and walked out of the room, being replaced with a Repliroid dressed in red, Ailes eyes widened as the Repliroid smiled.

"Brother?"

"Yep, I heard you were stuck here for a while, so I came to visit."

"I thought you died."

Omega chuckled as he walked to the chair and sat down.

"Please, if that would have killed me off, I wouldn't have forgave myself."

"Well, its just good to see that you are alright."

Omega smiled and reached over to grip her shoulder.

"Now Aile, we have much to do while you recover, why not rest while I go talk to Prairie."

Aile nodded as Omega stood, walking out of the room as Aile laid down. She was happy, and also very tired, yawning she said the last thing before falling asleep.

"It's a good thing Brother left when he did, or I might have fallen asleep on him."

I hope you have enjoyed.

Today is this story's first birthday, yay!

The final chapter to 'Trials of the Chosen' is finished, and with it is the story.

I probably will be revising the story, fixing any problems with it, but not right now.

ZXA is next, but I want to take a break and work on my other stories first.

I apologize if this chapter seemed short, honestly it was a bit difficult to think of what to write. Yo do have my Brother to thank for Omega being alive, he said it would have been better to end the story on a happy note.

I thank everyone who read this story, you all are great!

Do not worry about 'To Love a Wing', I will still be writting new chapters, just give me some time to get the ones I am working on right now together. So go ahead and keep suggesting ideas for that.

So, again I hoped you had a good time reading the story.

Until we meet again.

Have a nice day!
