Chapter 38 No Regrets Part 4

Sorry this Chapter took so long. But I tried to take my time and do things right. Hope you like it. I had fun writing it. Enjoy...Don't forget to review. :P

Sam and Freddie had been dancing for quite awhile, and were starting to feel warm from all the dancing. Freddie suggested they go sit down at a table for a few minutes to cool off. When they reached an empty table, Sam quickly slid her heels off, and started rubbing her sore feet. Just after Freddie sat down, Sam immediately threw her legs onto his lap.

"Here you go Fred stud, mama needs a foot massage." Sam said with a smile, and wiggling her toes back and forth.

"Are you going to rub mine afterwards?" He asked.

"No...You don't need one." She said as Freddie started rubbing the soles of her feet.

"What do you mean I don't need one? I've been out dancing as long as you have"

"Are you wearing heels?" Sam asked with one eyebrow raised, and a smirk on her face.

"No..."

"Okay...then it's settled." She said as she tilted her head back; enjoying the relaxing foot rub.

While Sam was getting relaxed from the massage, she started looking around the gym.

"Have you seen Carly?" She asked.

"No...Haven't been paying any attention to anyone but you princess." He said; continuing to rub her foot.

"Good answer nub...good answer." She said with an appreciative smile on her face.

Freddie took a quick glance around the place, and wasn't able to see any sign of Carly, or Gibby for that matter.

"I'm sure their off making out something." He said, as he placed Sam's shoes onto her feet. Sam shuddered at thought.

"Did you really have to go there? Now my mind is poking its eye out. I'm still trying to get used to the idea of them as a couple." Sam said as her body shuddered once more at the thought.

"Hey...Rodney, did you get it?" Brad from the football team asked.

"Hey...who do you think I am? I'm almost offended." Rodney replied; with a smirk on his face.

"Well then hand it over." Brad said.

"Not so fast jock boy...you got the cash?" Rodney asked.

"Yeah...of course I do." Brad answered.

Brad looked around the gym scanning for any sign of a teacher. When he saw that it was clear, Brad handed him the money.

"Here you go...one bottle of tequila...as ordered." He said, as he slid the bottle out of his jacket, and handed it over to Brad; out of view of anyone.

Rodney did another quick scan of the gym, and then made his way out of the area, and over to a dark spot of the gym, to wait on any more potential customers.

Carly had told Gibby she needed to use the ladies room, and got up to make her way there. Gibby leaned back, and rested his elbows on the table top behind him. Suddenly, Gibby heard a familiar voice coming from behind him. It was a voice he hadn't heard in years.

"Gibby…is that you?" His ex-girlfriend asked excitedly; making him spin around quickly.

"Dianne! What are you doing here? I thought you moved to Arizona?" Gibby asked; smiling, and happy to see her.

Gibby was so caught up in catching up with Dianne, that he didn't notice Carly walking up to him.

"AHEM!" Carly cleared her throat; not knowing the girl he was talking to, and not real pleased with the way she seemed to be flirting with him.

Gibby didn't hear Carly trying to get his attention; he was too involved with the conversation he was having with Dianne. Carly finished walking up to Gibby, and stepped into the middle of them.

"Hey Carl's didn't think you be back so soon." He said.

"Who's this?" She asked with a hint of irritation in her voice; not liking how casual he was acting with a strange girl.

"Oh…this is an old friend of mine Dianne…Dianne this is Carly." He said. Semi-nervously; noticing that Carly was acting slightly different, unsure what it could be.

"So…Gibby, is the Groovy Smoothie still around?" Dianne asked.

"Yeah…and T-Bo is still selling things on a stick." He said.

Carly wasn't real happy with the Way Gibby seemed to be paying more attention to some strange girl than to her; especially on prom. Carly got tired of their conversation and started asking questions.

"So…how do you know the Gib here?" She asked.

"Oh…we used to date; we're kind of ex's." She said, unaware of the fact that the girl in front of her was Gibby's girlfriend.

Gibby heard her answer the question, and immediately started to feel uncomfortable. He realized that he hadn't told Carly about her when introducing them.

"Well Dianne...the ex-girlfriend…meet Carly, the new girlfriend." She said sounding a little irritated.

"Hey Dianne want to hang with a little bit? I'd like to see how you've been." Gibby asked.

Carly was shocked. She had just made it a point to tell his ex-girlfriend that she was his new girlfriend, and he didn't seem to get the idea. Dianne looked at Gibby who was still excited to see her, and then back at Carly.

"Got to go…nice meeting you." Carly said as she gently tugged on Gibby's hand.

"Oh…that's too bad; I was hoping to do a little catching up on how things have been since I have been gone." Dianne said.

"Well…why don't you hang with us, I'm sure Carly doesn't mind…right Carly?" Gibby asked completely oblivious to the looks Carly was giving him.

"Um…sure, why not. It's not like we doing anything anyway." Carly replied sarcastically.

"Great! Let's go over there and have a seat." Gibby said; pointing to an empty table.

"Hey…Bill, block the view to the punch table while I pour this in." Brad said to one of his buddies'.

So Bill stood in front of the table, and was watching for teachers, as Brad started emptying the tequila into the punch. After the whole bottle had been poured in, Brad slipped the empty bottle back into his jacket and made his way to the closet exit to dispose of the bottle.

"Hey Sam, would you like anything to drink?" Freddie asked.

"Sure, get me two cups; I'm still pretty thirsty from all the dancing." Sam said, as she leaned up against the wall that was near their table.

Freddie got up, and made his way over to the table. Freddie grabbed a couple of cups for Sam, and a couple of cups for himself as well. A few minutes later, Freddie arrived back at the table, and handed the two cups of punch to Sam.

"Here you go Princess Puckett, just as you ordered…two plastic cups with punch." He said smartly and giving her a fake bow.

Sam downed the first one, and noticed that it didn't quite taste like normal punch, it had a little bite to it, but she liked it, and downed the second one as well.

"You gotta try this punch, it tastes awesome." Sam exclaimed.

Freddie gave her a funny look, but sipped a little out of his cup.

"Wow, it does taste good. What kind is it?" He asked.

"Don't know. But whatever it is, I want more." She said; handing Freddie the now two empty cups.

Freddie gulped his down, and decided to grab another couple of cups. When he returned, Sam seemed a little happier; like there was more she would like to be doing.

"Here you go…bottoms up." Freddie said as they both down the cups at the same time.

The both of them sat there for a few moments before getting up to go dance some more.

"WHOA! What the heck?" Sam exclaimed as she tried not to fall over from the sudden rush of dizziness.

"I got you Sa…." Freddie couldn't finish his sentence, because he was now flat on his back on the floor.

Sam couldn't control herself. She burst out with uncontrollable laughter. Freddie wasn't bothered with her laughing at him; he was too busy trying to see straight.

"You want to dance, or do you just want to sit there all night on the floor?' Sam asked; trying desperately not to burst out laughing.

"I think sitting on the floor is good…you should try it." He said as he reached up; grabbed her wrist and pulled her down to the floor with him.

"If I wasn't so in love with you, I would kick your cute nerdy butt." Sam said as she didn't even bother to get up. Instead she stayed there with him on the floor; resting up against him.

"You know what we need?" Freddie asked; looking down at her.

"Bacon?… yeah bacon." Sam answered.

"No…though that's not out of the question. What we need is more of that punch." He said.

Sam looked up; squinting her eyes, and then made a thinking face.

"Yeah…sounds good. Only one thing." She said.

"What's that?"

"Help me off the floor; I don't want to get this dress dirty." She said; holding her hands up for him to help her up.

Freddie slowly stood up, and then helped Sam up and over to the table, where they were before.

"Right back demon."

"I'll be here Fred bag." She said as she leaned up against the table for support.

Freddie slowly made his way over to the table and poured just two cups this time. One for her, and one for him. After only stumbling a couple of times, Freddie made it back over to Sam.

"Here you are my-lady." He said...snickering a little. Sam just sat there and shook her head at his sad attempt at humor.

"Just give me the punch dork wad." She said as she held her hand out.

"Ah, ah, ah...what's the magic word?" Freddie said as he kept the cup just out of reach from Sam.

"How about now or else?" She said; narrowing her eyes in a serious manner.

"Or else what?"

"You don't want to know. It's an old Puckett secret." She said; wiggling her fingers back and forth.

Freddie relented, and handed the punch to her. After the both of them finished their drinks, Sam grabbed Freddie's hand, and dragged him onto the dance floor. Sam danced around him exotically; something Freddie wasn't comfortable with, at least in public. Sam spun around, and brushed up against him; up and down. All the other kids started looking a little shocked at the sight. It wasn't the kind of Sam they were used to seeing. Pretty soon, they were all cheering her on, as she continued.

"Alright you two...that's enough. That kind of dancing is not allowed at this event." Mr. Howard spat, as he grabbed a hold of Sam's arm.

"Hey! We're not in class. You don't have the right to tell us how to dance." Sam yelled as she ripped her arm from his grip.

"Yes we do young lady. Now you either tone it down, or I'm going to have to make you leave." He said as he pointed towards the door.

Freddie didn't care for the way Mr. Howard had grabbed Sam's hand, and put himself between the two of them.

"Listen...She's my girlfriend, and you don't have the right to tell us how to dance with each other." Freddie said emphatically.

The alcohol had made Freddie a little more bolder than he usually would be. Freddie grabbed Sam's hand, and then looked at Mr. Howard.

"Fine...then we'll leave." He said in a very serious tone.

Freddie pulled Sam off of the dance floor, and stopped at the punch table for one more.

"Before we go, we might as well have one more." Freddie said as he handed another glass to Sam, and then grabbing one for himself.

As they left the prom, Sam was stunned. She was proud of the way he stood up to Mr. Howard.

"You didn't have to say all that to Mr. Howard." Sam said.

"I know. But now we can dance anyway you want; just you and me." He said as he pulled Sam in for a passionate kiss.

When they were finished, Freddie walked Sam to his car; opened the door, and let her slide in. As Freddie was closing the door, Sam was looking up at him with love dripping from her eyes. She was more in love him now, then she ever thought was possible. Freddie got in; started the car, and drove out of the parking lot, with his arm wrapped around her, and no idea as to where they were going.

Carly was stating at the table; getting tired of listening to Gibby and Dianne go on and on about the old days when they were together. Gibby rarely even said anything to Carly. It wasn't too long, when Carly had finally took all she could take, and got up.

"I don't mean to interrupt your love fest going on right now, but in case you haven't noticed...DIANNNNE. We're kind of dating each other, and at the prom together." Carly Said with her hands on her hips.

"What's up Carl's...we're just catching up?" He asked.

Just then, Greg Thompson from her algerbra class walked by.

"Hey Carly...you look nice. Here with anyone?" He asked; not realizing that her and Gibby had been dating.

"Not anymore. Wanna dance?" Carly asked Greg; while giving a sneer at Dianne.

"What? What do you mean not anymore; we're dating and at the prom together...remember?" He asked; standing up.

"Like I said... not anymore." She stated again; grabbing a hold of Greggs arm; allowing him to escort her to the dance floor.

Gibby just stood there with his mouth hung open, and stunned. Dianne's eyes got big; realizing what they had been doing. She felt guilty, and told Gibby she had to go. And without saying another word...left him standing there; alone, and by himself.

"Are you dating Gibby?"

"I was. But I'm not sure I will continue to. I'm sorry; I shouldn't have brought you into this." Carly said as she started feeling guilty for walking off like she.

"You know Carly, if someone likes someone that way, then they wouldn't ignore them the way he did." He said; looking down into her eyes in a way she couldn't help but notice.

Carly looked up into his stare, thought about what Gibby had been doing, and then wrapped her arms around his neck.

"You're right. They wouldn't." She said as she kept her eyes on him the whole time they were dancing.

Carly had never really noticed Greg before. To her he was just one of the kids in school that she never really talked to. But standing there dancing with him, and hearing what he said. She thought about maybe finding out more about him. After about two or three songs, Carly noticed Gibby still sitting at the table. His head was hanging down, and he looked depressed.

"I'll talk to in a little bit Greg. I have to go talk to Gibby real quick...okay?" She said

"Yeah... sure...no problem. I'll be over there if you need me." He said; pointing at an empty table on the other side of the gym.

Carly slowly walked over to where Gibby was sitting, and for a moment, almost felt sorry for him. But inside she was still hurt, and needed to talk to him.

"Hey Gib... can we talk?" She asked as she slowly sat down next to him at the table.

"Sure...go ahead." He said; finally raising head up to look at her.

"Gib...I'm sorry for walking away like that, but you have to understand that I was angry. You and Dianne were talking and laughing about things, and I was feeling left out; like I didn't matter."

"Carly...you have to know you matter to me. I enjoy are time together."

"I know Gib, and I did too. But to be completely honest; I saw something in you I haven't seen before." She said caringly.

"What's that?" He asked.

"You looking at me, like you looked at her."

"What? No Carl's tha..." Carly cut him off.

"It's okay...I get it. You two must have really liked each other back then?" She asked.

"Well...yeah. We weren't that old, but we really had fun; did everything together."

"I can tell. Gibby, I have a proposition for you." She said; smiling at him for the first time after the incident earlier.

"What's the proposition?" He asked.

"You go and spend the rest of the prom with Dianne, and we end our relationship as friends. As far as I can see, she hasn't hung out with anyone since she left. And from the way she was looking at you I think there's a reason for it." She said; knowing that Dianne still had feelings for her Gib, and he obviously had them for Dianne as well.

"But Carly...we're here together; it wouldn't be right."

"It's okay Gibb. I'm kind of having fun hanging with Greg over there. Why don't we both end the night having fun; not fighting." She said as she got up; pulling Gibby with her.

Carly pointed Gibby towards Dianne, and gave him a little shove.

"Go ahead Gib... have fun." She said as she turned and headed back over to Greg.

"Carly?"

"Yeah?"

"You to." He said smiling back at her momentarily; before heading off to join Dianne where she was standing.

The next morning, Sam rolled over in bed, and slowly opened her eyes. the room was still dark, and her head felt like it was going to explode from the hangover she had. As her eyes started adjusting to the darkness in the room, she noticed she wasn't in her room; it was someone else's, and from the Galaxy War decor, she knew who's it was. Sam slowly looked over at the other side of the bed, and saw Freddie still passed out.

"O.M.G. What the hell?" She thought to herself.

Suddenly Sam realized she was completely undressed, and the thought if Freddie was in the same condition scared her. Sam heard Freddie moaning, and wrestling in the sheets.

"What do I do? I can't let him see me like this." She thought to herself; still in a panicked state. Before she had a chance to act on anything, Sam heard Freddie.

"Sam? What the heck? What are you doing in my bedroom?" He asked; completely confused.

Suddenly Freddie realized he was completely naked.

"Sam! What happened?" He yelled; almost freaking out.

"OUUUCH!" He said as he held his head that felt like it was going to explode.

"Well...I don't know, I woke up just before you, wondering the same thing." She said as she was still trying to hide her nakedness.

Freddie noticed from his view, that Sam didn't quite look dressed herself.

"Sam...do you think that..." Freddie paused.

"I don't know. I can't remember anything." She answered; feeling as embarrassed as he was.

Then the both of them heard the most terrifying sound of all.

"Freddie? You awake? I have breakfast ready."
