Dallas POV
I sat in Remi's room helping her pack for Paris. Her blonde curls were pulled into a topknot while she had her sweats and a tee-shirt on.
"Do you think this dress is cute?" she asked me, holding up a floral sundress.
"I think it's perfect for Paris," I replied and she smiled, then put it in her suitcase. I decided to pull out my phone and check my Instagram feed. Jade, Kylie, Blair and Diana came into the room.
"Are you almost done packing?" Kylie asked.
"No!" Remi replied. I laughed then checked my feed. I scrolled through the normal selfies, store promos, but something caught my eye. Stas had a recent post and what it said, killed me.
It was a picture of her left hand with a huge ass diamond ring with the caption saying, The Future Mrs. Jackson!
"What the fuck is Brady thinking?" I said to myself, but realized I said it out loud.
"What did he do this time?" Remi asked. I showed them my screen and they all were shocked.
"I'm getting another sister!" Kylie said.
"He's getting married?" Jade asked and I rolled my eyes.
"I'm torn between this. I'm excited for Brady and Stas, but at the same time, I'm with Dallas on this, what is he thinking?" Remi asked.
"Maybe Stas is pregnant..." Blair suggested.
"Knowing Brady, that would be something to happen..." Remi mentioned.
"Do you think your parents know?" Jade asked.
"Only one way to find out..." Kylie said and we went downstairs. Annabeth and Percy were sitting on the couch talking when we walked in.
"Hey mom and dad, quick question, did you know about this?" Remi asked them, holding her phone to show them the picture.
"Yes we did. Brady told us a week ago that he wanted to propose. While we're in Paris, there will be an engagement party so we need to go and buy dresses," Annabeth said.
"Is there a reason as to why they're getting married this early?" Kylie asked.
"Just that they love each other," Annabeth said looking at Percy, probably reminiscing on their past. I have no idea what Brady is thinking, if he is thinking at all.
We got to the airport, sitting in the chairs waiting for our flight. My mom had her plane come in from Greece, so it wouldn't be here for another hour.I wore my brown with plaid tank top that said 'too cool for school' along with my ripped black shorts, skull earrings, combat boots with my black hair pinned into a knotted bun updo. Remi sat next to me on her phone. She had her blonde curls hanging down over her grey hoodie. She had jeans on with a pair of black boots. Jade sat next to her with a similar look, except her black hair was in a top knot. Charlotte came over looking fabulous as always. Her red hair was pinned to the side and fell over her patterned shirt that she paired with black leggings and burgundy pointed heels.
"Guys get in for a picture!" Remi said while holding up her iPhone. We squished in together and took a picture of the four of us. I looked over at my sisters and Kylie. Kylie had a denim long sleeved button up with black lace design on the shoulders along with ripped black leggings, her 'Homies' beanie and grey heels. Blair was next to her with her black hair in a top knot while she wore a floral top, black leggings and red pointed heels. She and Kylie were taking selfies as Diana was sitting next to Liam talking. Diana looked cute with her red curls down and a simple braid going across her head. She had a blue sundress on with silver flats, with pearl earrings and the gold bow ring Liam had given her. She was smiling while looking at Liam then her gave her a quick peck on the cheek. I think I was the only one to see it though.
We got on the plane and sat down. I looked down at my phone and realized I hadn't changed the background. It was a picture of me and Bobby sitting in the park while he kissed my cheek. I started to feel upset so I quickly changed the picture and shut my eyes to relax. Everything has been going so fast and it doesn't help that my depression has gotten worse. I think if it was gone, I wouldn't react so badly to things. The littlest change can set me off and since so many things have changed, it's a living hell.
We got to Paris then checked into the hotel. I was rooming with Remi and Jade so we sat down and talked for a while. The view from our window was beautiful and looked over the city.
"Kids, we're going to visit Brady and Stas at their apartment, would you like to join us?" Annabeth asked. Of course I didn't want to go, but Remi pulled me with her. We took the metro and got to the street where the apartment building was. It was a high end apartment building, probably for all the celebrities who come to escape in France. Brady came down and said hello while we followed him upstairs to the apartment. Once we got there, we realized just how beautiful it was. The apartment was large with two floors. The first floor had a living area with as kitchen, bathroom and a guest room. There was a large window on the back wall that had the prettiest view of Paris. It captured Paris in a snapshot with the Eiffel tower in the background. Brady showed us the upstairs that was s a loft with just a bedroom and a bathroom but with an equally beautiful view.
Stas came out wearing a button up sundress and electric blue pumps. Her chestnut brown curls bounced as she walked over with a blinding white smile. I looked down at her hand and saw the blinding rock glittering as she brushed the hair out of her face, exposing the diamond, almost on purpose. She walked over to Brady as he wrapped his arm around her waist then pecked her on the cheek.
"It's so lovely to see you all," Stas said as she flashed her smile at us.
"I can't believe you're marrying my brother. I can't wait to have you as my sister!" Kylie said and gave Stas a hug.
"It will be so different having you two married, but I'm excited!" Remi added in. Everyone shared their happiness for the couple but I just rolled my eyes.
"I think it's a dumb idea," I said in a mocking voice to myself.
"What was that Dallas?" My mom asked with a smile.
"Congrats," I said with a fake smile and Brady just slightly shook his head, obviously aware of what I said before.
"Our engagement party is in a few days, so I was thinking that tomorrow ladies, we can go shopping for dresses," Stas said and the girls got excited.
"Two of my favorite words, dresses and shopping!" Blair said.
"Lovely! I can't wait to spend the day with all of you tomorrow," Stas said and it made me want to puke.
The next day we went over to the apartment building and met Stas. We walked along the busy Paris streets. We went in and out of dress stores, sometimes one of us coming out with a dress. I got a dress then after that, I didn't pay much attention to the dress shopping. We all went out for lunch and I noticed that Stas barely touched her food, but acted as if she was full. The rest of the day we spent roaming the streets and shopping.
The day of the engagement party, Stas and Brady were rushing around, trying to get everything together. The party was being held on a huge yacht owned by Stas' family. Since the Seine isn't large enough for a yacht, we're driving for two hours to Le Havre that is on the coast of France. We packed an overnight bag and our dresses, then got into a coach bus to Le Havre. When we finally arrived in Le Havre, we went to the hotel and got ready.
Since this is Stas, the party was very formal and all of our dresses were floor-length. I got a strapless red chiffon gown that had an embellished gold laurel leaf belt. I wore my sparkly glitter red pumps. I had gold leaf-like earrings hanging down in my black curls.
Remi was in a pink fitting gown that came to the floor and flowed out onto the ground. She had her blonde curls down on her tan skin and complemented them with light pink lips and matching nails. On her feet she wore blush colored pumps. For her jewelry she wore her dangling flower earrings and her Cartier jewelry.
Jade wore mainly black. She had a strapless black dress that flowed to the ground. Her hair was down and she wore dangling gold spike earrings. She matched her earrings with a gold spiked bracelet and matching ring. For her shoes she wore black spiked pumps and carried a gold studded clutch.
Charlotte had her red curls pinned to the side. Her dress was strapless and had a black bodice, but shared it with a red silk bottom that came up to her chest. It flowed down and had a bow on the side. She had black and gold stone earrings and her diamond tennis bracelet. She had red lips that matched the dress and wore black pointed pumps. We walked downstairs and I saw my sisters in their dresses along with Kylie.
Blair wore a strapless A-line light blue gown with a silver bodice. Her short black curls fell on her shoulders and she had diamond and blue topaz earrings. She wore her infinity ring and love bracelet. Her shoes were silver open-toe pumps and she had light pink lips.
Diana had her red curls down but with a braid going across her head like a headband. She had a jade colored dress that was gold and jaded embroidered at the top. She had gold and jade drop earrings with a matching bracelet. She had pink lips and wore gold open-toe glitter pumps. I could see her gold bow ring that Liam gave to her on her hand.
Kylie had her black curls down. She had bright red lips and matching pointed nails that complemented her dress. Her dress was red line and lace bodice and the bottom was a red chiffon skirt. Her shoes were red pumps. Like Remi, she had her Cartier jewelry and her earrings were red, black and gold drops. All the guys wore nice suits and our moms wore sophisticated dresses.
We got to the yacht and it was filled with socialites from around the world. We spotted Stas and Brady joined at the arm, talking to a group of people. Stas looked gorgeous, as much as I hate to say it. She wore a blue Grecian style dress that was belted at the waist and flowed down to the ground. Her chestnut curls fell on her tan skin and she had a smile on her face. She wore simple diamond earrings along with her huge engagement ring. She had elegant sliver gladiator style heels under her dress. Brady wore a black suit and a blue tie to match Stas' dress.
"Stas, don't you look beautiful!" Annabeth said with a smile, then hugged Stas.
"Thank you Annabeth! I wanted to wear a blue dress just like yours for the engagement party," Stas said and I rolled my eyes. She is such a suck up. Someone, who looked like a crew member, went up to Stas.
"Miss Hadid, it's such a pleasure to see you. I just saw your parents last week," he told her. Stas looked a little sad and then managed a smile.
"I didn't know they were in Paris," she replied. She turned back to Brady and then they went to talk to her friends. We stood around and talked to random friends of Stas. Charlotte grabbed a glass of champagne and was talking to a young guy. It almost seemed as if they were flirting, but Charlotte seemed to not care. A waiter came by and I grabbed a glass of wine. I was about to take a sip, when my dad walked by.
"Give me that! Dallas you're not old enough to drink," he told me and I rolled my eyes.
"I'm four months away from being 18, which is the drinking age here," I replied and he gave me a blank look.
"In four months, you can return here and drink," he said and walked away. I saw Brady walking around then he walked over to me.
"Sucks to be you," he said then took a sip of his wine.
"Whatever, at least I'm not being tied down," I told him.
"So I'm getting married earlier than usual, I don't really care," he said and I smiled.
"I'm just saying, which one of us will have more fun. I think it's me," I said and he rolled his eyes.
"I'll see you later Dal," he told me then walked away. We all went over to the tables and sat down. We got our meals and ate. I looked over at Stas who had barely eaten her food, but continued to socialize.
As the night went on, a good sized crowd remained. Brady came up to me with a worried look.
"Have you seen Stas?" he asked me.
"Last I saw her was at dinner, why?" I asked.
"I haven't seen her in a while. We split up to talk to people and now I can't find her. Maybe she's just hidden in the crowd," he said then continued to scan the crowds. I decided to walk downstairs and explore the yacht. As I was walking downstairs, I heard crying from down the hall. I decided to quietly walk until it got louder. I finally reached the room and saw Stas sitting on a bed, crying. Normally, seeing Stas upset brought me happiness, since she was perfect all the time. This time was different. She was truly hurt and make-up ran down her face.
"Stas, what's wrong?" I asked her, walking over to her and placing my hand on her shoulder.
"I can't believe they didn't show up..." she said, sobbing between words. It occurred to me that her parents never showed tonight. I could relate to her since my parents love my sisters more and always choose their events over mine.
"Stas, I'm sorry. Did they tell you they couldn't make it?" I asked.
"No, they are just too busy with their lives. They travel around the world, including being here last week. They never told me that. This night is special to me. I want them to be here to see how happy I am to marry Brady. I just want them to be here, is that too much to ask?" she said and tears rushed down her cheeks. She didn't say anything after that. I wrapped my arms around her as she cried on my shoulder. I wanted to hate her, but at the same time she was in so much pain. She was a real person at that moment. She wasn't the girl who stole my boyfriend and made me envy her everyday. She was a girl who just wanted her parents to show her support and affection. After a while, she stopped crying.
"Thank you Dallas," she said in a weak voice.
"No problem, but you might want to touch up the make-up before you go upstairs," I told her and she wiped her tears and smiled. She went to the bathroom and put on some new make-up and straightened her appearance. I could hear footsteps coming and Brady came into the room.
"Stas, there you are," he said then gave her a kiss. "What's wrong?" he asked.
"It doesn't matter now, Dallas talked me through it," she said and I smiled. Brady looked confused, yet happy. He gave her a hug and mouthed 'thank you' over her shoulder. We all returned upstairs and continued to socialize. I walked over to the side of the boat and watched the waves ripple. Helping Stas did make me feel good, but happiness doesn't last. The sadness returned as I looked out onto the tempting waves.
There we go! A new chapter! I hope you liked it and please tell me what you think! I have two weeks left of school, so I hope to update soon! Links to the dresses are on my page! Thanks readers! PLEASE REVIEW!
