Cocktail


He looked like a mad scientist in the flickering light. Hand held high, the casting shadows went scurrying as the eyed his latest cocktail with a discerning eye.

It had to be just right, not too much, nor too little.

Eyes gleaming, red rimmed with countless days of missed slumber burning in them, he cackled manically, and poured the frothing brew into a glass.

He hoped to hell it wouldn't bubble over.

Or melt through like last time.

Thrusting the concoction into unsuspecting hands, he forced them to drain the bitter brew to the very last drop.

Smirking wildly, he watched them cough and gag and splutter as they unwillingly complied.

Donnie hated making his brothers take their medication.

But after a week of their complaining, he couldn't take it anymore.

He crossed his fingers and whispered a silent prayer that it would work.
