Author's Note: Before anyone asks; no, this does not means I've recreated Allisani or Curoda. I still hate their class mechanics, and I have no desire to play them anymore. Also, this does not mean that I'm going to have chapters that focus on either; the most you're going to see is mentioning of Curoda's pirate fleet or messages from Allisani about the Star Cabal.

"Are you certain of this?" Allisani said. "If this comes back on us…"

"Yeah, of course," Kaliyo said. "Ragdat's a good guy. He saved my ass more than a few times back on Rattatak."

Allisani cocked her head slightly, which was the Chiss equivalent of another species rolling their eyes. Kaliyo was a habitual liar, and some of her stories were suspect in their accuracy.

"Whether you believe me or not, Ragdat's a Jedi," Kaliyo added. "He's your 'in' with the Republic and the Jedi Order. Even if he doesn't do anything himself, he can pass along the information about the Star Cabal to the right people."

Allisani looked at Kaliyo, but knew she had a point; she needed to build contacts within the Republic the way she had within the Empire if she was ever going to take down the Star Cabal, and she could trust Kaliyo's desire for revenge on them as well.

"All right, I'll send the message," Allisani said, turning to the ship's console.

"You won't regret this, Alli," Kaliyo said. "Ragdat will get things done."

Ragdat awoke in the bed he shared with his girlfriend Kira Carsen and was alerted to a message he had received. He rolled to his feet and picked up his datapad, and noticed the message was from an unknown sender. Sure in the fact that his ship's computers would have properly scrubbed the message, he opened it.

Jedi Master Ragdat,

I apologize for sending this message out of nowhere and with disguised information, but my companion Kaliyo Djannis informs me that you are trustworthy. Still, with things being the way they are, I cannot take any chances.

I'm contacting you to inform you of an individual who is a great threat to the Republic. His name is Yem Leksende, and he is publically the head of Czerka Corporation. Secretly, he is part of an organization that is trying to destroy the Republic from within.

I know that the Republic knows of him; reports on the holonet state that you stopped his son from retrieving a Rakata object on Tatooine, so you know how dangerous the man who wanted the object can be. Yem Leksende knew what the object was, and he planned on using Czerka to research and deploy the object secretly on Republic worlds. And he has more plans than just that to take down the Republic, the Jedi, and many more organizations.

I don't know the rules that the Jedi have for acting upon untrusted sources, but you have to do something. Kaliyo trusts you, and I have placed my trust in her, so I hope you do something about this.

Ragdat stared at the message for a moment, not sure what to do. Kaliyo was a habitual liar, even back on Rattatak, and he wasn't sure that her friend was any more trustworthy. On the other hand, Czerka was dangerous, and they tended to warp science and technology in ways that even the Sith would envy.

As Ragdat was mulling his decision over in his head, Kira awoke, and nuzzled up next to him.

"Morning, tough guy," She said, kissing him.

"Good morning," Ragdat said, turning his attention back to the datapad.

"Something important there?" Kira said.

"Just a message from Kaliyo," Ragdat added.

"That Rattataki girl? It's a shame she left so quickly," Kira said playfully. "We could have had a lot of fun together."

"Threesomes are like rolling around in pudding," Ragdat said. "Fun in concept, messy in execution." He turned his full attention to Kira. "Besides, it's never a good idea to take your current girlfriend and your former girlfriend to bed together."

"Ah," Kira said, chuckling. "So, what was the message about?"

"Czerka being a potential threat to the Republic," Ragdat said, as he watched Kira get out of bed and put a robe on. "More specifically, their CEO, Yem Leksende."

"Oh, big shock, Czerka being a threat," Kira said. "Not worth worrying about, if you ask me."

"It's more than that," Ragdat said. "Kaliyo recently became a spy, and I'm willing to bet that this information is accurate."

Kira knew that there was more than Ragdat was telling her, but she chose to shrug that fact off and focus on what was actually said. "So, what are you going to do?"

"Well, I should at least forward this information to General Var Suthra. From there, he should be able to pass the information onto SpecForce and the SIS," Ragdat said, taking the robe that Kira handed him. "For now, we should continue on to Keylander station and meet with Chancellor Saresh. Whatever is going down on Makeb, it can't be good if the Chancellor is worried about it."
