Hi everyone! Sorry this chapter is so short but it's just a little after thought after William's birth. I'm trying to work on an ending but alas it is harder than one might think. Hope you enjoy.

Abigail made her way over to the café to give the rest of the town the news and to give Jack and Elizabeth some privacy with their newest addition. She entered the room where Frank and many others were still there. Everyone quieted down and focused on Abigail when she entered. Abigail gave a big smile and said, "The baby's here! It's a boy!"

Everyone clapped and cheered with a couple of 'I told you so's' mixed in with the cheering.

"What's his name?" asked Bill.

"William. William Thomas," replied Abigail, "After both their fathers."

"Awe, beautiful name," said Rosemary excitedly.

"How's Elizabeth doing?" asked Frank.

"She's pretty exhausted but doing well," said Abigail, "Jack is of course going to monitor her and make sure nothing occurs in the next few hours.

"Well we'll all be praying for them," said Cat.

"Will we be able to see the baby soon?" asked Opal.

"Well, Mountie Jack and Mrs. Thornton are going to spend a few days at home with him, but she promised that she would bring him up to the school house so you all can see him soon," said Abigail crouching down to Opal's level.

Back at the house, Faith prepared to weigh and measure William while Jack rubbed Elizabeth's back soothingly, "You did a good job baby. Really good job."

Elizabeth kissed Jack and smiled, "And thank you for helping me make this day the greatest day of my life."

"9 lbs even and 20 inches long," announced Faith as she diapered and swaddled William before handing him back to Elizabeth.

"Wow, you're a big boy aren't you?" chuckled Jack stroking William's soft brown hair, "You take after your Daddy and your Uncle Tom."

Elizabeth smiled, "At least you didn't take after your Aunt Julie coming feet first. Because I can't even imagine how painful that would've been," Elizabeth said to William for emphasis. William was of course clueless.

Jack kissed Elizabeth's temple and said, "It's all over now tough Lizzie. We now have a beautiful baby boy."

Faith gently touched Elizabeth's leg and asked, "Do either of you need anything else?"

"I don't think so. He's feeding well and seems to be content," answered Elizabeth.

"I'll make sure to send a telegram to my family and the Thatchers and let them know of his arrival," said Jack.

Faith nodded and left the room. She closed the door behind her and Elizabeth turned to Jack, "So Daddy, you ready to hold him."

Jack gave a big smile and took his son from his wife's arms. He gazed into his light blue eyes as William observed his new surroundings, "Hey little one. I'm your Daddy. And let me tell you, your Mommy is the most caring, sweetest woman on Earth."

Elizabeth smiled to herself as she observed her husband hold their son in his arms for the first time. Jack was always so good with the children of Hope Valley and Elizabeth had known the moment they found out about the pregnancy that Jack was going to be a terrific father. To see the man she loved holding the other little man she loved was the best feeling in the world.
