Just so you know, I've been teaching for two years. That's my excuse for waiting so long to update. I never forgot Bellamione, I could never. Sorry if it's crappy, I'm just getting back into writing.
Hermione sat down across from Bellatrix in the cafeteria. Bellatrix put her chin in her hand and just stared down at her food.
"Go on, Bella," Hermione coaxed, "The sooner you eat, the sooner we can leave, and we can get this over with."
Bellatrix let out a solemn sigh. Hermione reached over and put her hand on Bellatrix's rubbing it with her thumb.
"I'm just tired of having to explain myself to people," Bellatrix started, "The apology meetings were one thing; I hardly knew those people. Now I have to face people I know and be judged by them."
"You never cared what people thought before, why now?" Hermione laughed.
"If you haven't noticed, things are different now," Bellatrix looked up with an aggravated look.
"Yeah, but even now, you never cared what people thought of you, maybe me, but you're still Bellatrix. You still have that personality that allows you to scare people without doing anything but giving them your infamous stare."
"I used to enjoy that. Now, I just wish the world would leave me alone, and forget about me. I just wish I could start over."
"Who are you most worried about facing?"
"Sirius. And Frank Longbottom."
"Why?"
"Sirius, because I know he'll be the hardest to convince I'm not the whole person he remembers. And, Longbottom, because I'm still pissed off over what he said to me."
"What, what you did to him wasn't suffice?"
Bellatrix sniffed and looked back down at her plate before pushing it away, "I'm not hungry. I'll drink the juice."
Hermione knew when to stop badgering Bellatrix about anything, "Okay, then we'll go see the doctors, and you should be done in an hour. Then I'll talk to them, then you'll talk to them. Their families are coming. Then we'll do the last thing we have to do, then we'll be done."
"I have to face their families, too?"
"Just Neville, Harry, and your older sister. And Neville's grandmother."
Bellatrix sighed as she stood up, "Fine. Let's go."
In a large room, Bellatrix sat in a hospital bed with the back lifted up. She saw her wand on a table nearby. There were two doctors and two nurses in the room.
"I'm going to your room to pack all your things. I'll come back when you're done. I love you," Hermione held her face and kissed her lips before turning to leave.
Bellatrix hated when she pulled away. She wanted to get up and go after her, but squeezed the arms of the chair to stop herself. She knew that she had to do this, if not for herself, for Hermione. Everything was for, and because of, Hermione, now.
"Bring in the first patient," Hermione heard one of the doctors say as she closed the door.
Hermione went back to Bellatrix's room and started packing her things in her enchanted purse. Bellatrix's desk was covered with papers will all kinds of random writing and drawings on them, one in particular caught her eye. She held it up and examined it, her face had an awe expression. She hadn't known Bellatrix could draw so well. The picture was of a house on the ocean. Even though there were no colors in the picture, it seemed very calm and peaceful.
A lot of the other papers were rough drafts of her letters. She found a paper with the title 'Reasons to Live.' She read the first, and only, reason, 'Hermione.' She folded up that paper and stuffed it in her pocket. She went to put the rest in her purse and looked at the ocean picture one more time before putting that in her pocket, too. The picture gave her an idea, but she had to be pick. She pulled out her phone and ran to the front of the hospital to apparate.
I'm being kind of slow with this. I think I used to write 4 pages for each chapter. Right now, I'm just doing two. I'll try to upload more this weekend. Thanks for reading!
