Digimon World New Advent

They say that in this digital world of our light and dark live in harmony, but they are mistaken. So often the Darkness finds a way to engulf the light leaving the world in despair. And yet hope seems to come from the strangest places, for me that hope came from my son, and the friends I knew he would make. I have hope they will prevail and signal the advent of our future.

37. Chapter 36: Vanguard of the Earthlins

Chapter 36: Vanguard of the Earthlins

Chris' Pov:

MedievalDukemon and I ran outside after hearing the explosion. An army of Golem like creatures attacking the village, multiple Flawizardmon had already started to counter attack against them. In instantly reach for my digivice, but then the reality of my situation kicked in, and I remembered that Sol, Angel, and Blaze where someplace else. I look at MedievalDukemon who rushes forward cleaving a golem in two like it was nothing. I see a young digimon about to be crushed by one of the golems, and out of instinct I run to intercept. "Digiequip!" I shout tapping my watch my sword appearing just in time for me to block the strike.

I look over my shoulder, "Are you alright?" The digimon nods. "Alright then get someplace safe while I handle this." The digimon runs off after whispering thank you. I turn my sights back to the golem, "Attacking a child, you disgust me." I knock his hand aside and attack his left leg, delivering a series of quick blows before I am forced to dodge his foot. The golem then spins slamming down on me the second I land, I cross my arms awaiting the blow, but it never comes. I look out from behind my guard to see MedievalDukemon blocking the giant arm. "Thanks" I say jumping, using MedievalDukemon as a spring point to get on the Golem's arm and run up it.

It moves its other arm to try to crush me but I jump last second causing it to break its own arm while I land on the other one. I move slashing at its neck, sinking in, and screaming at the top of my lungs. My blade lights with my digisoul and slices the head off. The golem falls back and MedievalDukemon catches me as I fall, "Thanks for the saves." He puts me down, and I look at the battle the Flawizardmon having pushed back the golems forcing them out of the village. "Hey MedievalDukemon do you have any names other than your given one, or the whirlwind general?"

He looks at me, "No, why do you ask?" I motion and my sword vanishes, "Because it's a mouthful." He laughs, "Fair enough, why don't you think of a nickname." I put a hand on my chin and think, "How about Tyr, the Norse god of war." He nods, "I approve of it, the from now on you may call me Tyr, Christian." I put my hands behind my head, "You can call me Chris. So Tyr the battle is just starting isn't it?" He nods, and I shift my stance, "Well then I think you should fill me in on everything that is going on here." We head back to the guild hall, and he tells me about an odd digimon calling itself GrandSagemon.

He told me about an odd power the digimon had called Arcane Dominion, and of an odd black mark on his forehead. The moment he mentions the mark I can't help but think back to the Chuliannmon incident, and the mark I saw on its body. "Tyr what did the marking look like?" He describes the same black mark I had seen. "That's not a good sign." "Why is that?" I cross my arms, "It's the same mark that was on an odd digimon that almost killed me, but I doubt it's the same one." I close my eyes, "If that's the case then we need to take care of him as fast as we can."

"That is easier said than done Chris, he holds dominion over three of the four tribes." I open my eyes, "I've been meaning to ask, what is the deal with the four tribes?" He sighs, "The four tribes consist of 4 elements which the wizards of each tribe can access one of. These elements are earth, water, wind, and the one you are currently in fire." I nod, "And the tribe that this started this war?" "The Earthlin tribe, or the tribe which holds dominion over earth magic." I close my eyes again and think, "GrandSagemon, do you know where he is right now?" "Yes he is in a castle he constructed in the central point of this world." I open my eyes and smile, "Alright then I think I have a plan to get us in, and to take him down." Tyr gives me an uneasy look, "Are you sure?" I nod, "Mhm, he won't know what hit him." He slowly nods, "Alright tell me this plan." I smile, "Trust me this will be one for the ages."

Story update:

Hey guys chapter 36 is out a bit behind schedule, I was very sick yesterday and could barely function, but now I'm rested and mostly recovered so here it is. I have two more chapters planned for Digimon World New Advent, as well as three chapters for Pokémon Nexus Disconnect. If you haven't checked Nexus Disconnect out I highly recommend you do. Also I plan to post the next two chapters on my usual Sunday upload day, and the final two on Monday the sixth. With that said I hope all of you are doing well, and I will see you guys next time. Bye!
