Harry and Hermione Deal Justice

They didn't talk much at all. Dean, Seamus and some of the others had come with course work for them to complete. McGonagall had caught them near the door, but Neville – who had previously been very timid – had drawn himself to his full height and stature, and told McGonagall to get stuffed. While McGonagall spluttered in surprise, the others came in and handed over the homework. Somehow, and none of the teachers could yet work out how, Harry and Hermione were handing in their practical work. Flitwick was of the opinion that the rest of the second year Gryffindors were doing it. As Harry sat and watched the fire slowly burn away, he set his thoughts back to the next day. Because of various events, not everyone would be making the funeral tomorrow. In fact out of the close family, only Harry and Hermione would be attending, and the other mourners would be close friends as well as the people working at the Dentist surgery. One of the few visitors allowed to see Harry and Hermione was Griphook. The two children had asked him to arrange for the surgery to remain open, and the goblin had nodded in the right places and then said he would attend to it. The result was that the practice was now being run by Gringotts until Hermione said otherwise. It was luck that the solicitor was a wizard, and was more then happy to help Griphook.

"I still think that I'll wake up in the morning, and that I'll find this all a dream and everything is alright" Harry said. It was the first thing he had said in half an hour.

"I keep thinking that soon" Hermione said quietly, "But we have to face the facts. It is true, and they're not coming back. I…" Hermione stopped speaking, and continued to look at the fire as well. It was a good hour before either spoke again.

"Did you get the potions work done?" asked Harry.

"Yes" said Hermione. "I couldn't help but think about tomorrow though while doing it" Harry nodded in agreement.

"We'll have to grin and bear it tomorrow" he said. "The service will be tough, but at least it will be behind us, and then we can start to carry on" and he shifted slightly in his place on the sofa. He put one arm around Hermione and held her close to him, and she dipped her head into the top of his arm and closed her eyes. When the pair was like this, Harry felt safe, calm, cool and collected and at peace with the whole world. After what seemed like hours, and what might have been hours, the two of them went to sleep on the sofa.

#

Over the last week or so, they had really let themselves go, neither of them had eaten much, their hair was in a complete state and they only had quick washes in the mornings. For all intents and purposes Harry and Hermione had shut down, and it wasn't until the evening before the funeral that they left the tower. McGonagall had come to see them about arrangements for the next day, and she was shocked by the sight in front of her. Clothes hung off Harry and Hermione, and she grabbed the nearest pupil – a Slytherin fifth year – and told him to run to the Hospital Wing and bring back Madam Pomfrey. The two witches saw the state that Harry and Hermione were in, and ordered them to get cleaned up, dress in clean clothes and then to take the potions that Pomfrey had thought to bring with her.

"What is the meaning of this?" McGonagall said.

"What is the meaning of life for us anymore?" Harry replied in an icy voice.

"I don't understand" said Pomfrey, "You have lots to live for. You both live for your grades – joint top in your year" the witch added.

"What is the point of doing well if we can not show them off to anyone?" Hermione said glumly.

"Survivor's Guilt" McGonagall whispered to Pomfrey. "You still have each other, and both of you are strong. I promise you that it will get better after the funeral" she said to the pair.

"Will it?" Hermione asked, "We have to go back to a place that will no longer be such a happy place again" she added.

"Of course" Harry said, "This is the second time my parents have been killed" and he said it in such way that made both elder witches shiver down their spine. "Perhaps my next family will survive. You know? Third time lucky and all that" and there was no answer that the headmistress or the school nurse could give to that at all.

"I've come to speak to you about the arrangements for tomorrow" McGonagall said. "The 1st,2nd and 3rd Auror companies will be around the town at various locations, and Aurors Jackson and Riottz will be with you until you reach the church" and the pair nodded acknowledgment.

"Can you tell them that we want to see Griphook afterwards?" Hermione asked.

"I'm sure that can be arranged" McGonagall assured them, "Now I believe that Miss Parkinson would like to see you. I have had her in my office everyday this week" and after a short time, Fliss came bursting into the room.

"HARRY! HERMIONE!" she ran over and hugged and kissed them both. "I've missed you so much. Can we go and do something fun?" she requested, and Harry and Hermione agree at once.

"You two are still suspended" McGonagall called out to the retreating backs. When neither replied, she shouted "I want an answer!" and Harry stopped for a moment.

"If you want an answer, mine is the same that Neville gave to you. I'm done with the Wizarding world" and the three of them left an alarmed pair of witches.

#

"Are you serious?" she asked.

"That would be me" said a black haired man raising his hand.

"I'm serious!" said Madam Bones. The other Aurors in the room - all muggle borns - decided to get in on the joke.

"I'm Sirius"

"No I'M Sirius"

"I AM SIRIUS!" said another loudly. Madam Bones groaned, and then turned back to her fireplace caller.

"Do you think he really meant it?" she asked McGonagall.

"I'm not sure" said the other woman. "It could be that he doesn't know what he is saying. We'll find out for sure what he wants to do when he is not so… emotional" and McGonagall and Bones said goodbye before McGonagall pulled her head out the flames.

#

The next day dawned bright and cheerful, but to Harry and Hermione it was very dark. Fliss had moved back in, and she had told them all about her adventures. They smiled when the girl informed them that she had pranked the Weasley twins, though Harry suspected they had allowed her to do so. Serafina came by just before eight to look after her, and Harry and Hermione made their way towards the main entrance hall on the ground floor.

#

"You think this will be enough?" asked Jackson.

"Should be" said Riottz. "The Minister has the 1st, 2nd and 3rd at various locations around the town. The 4th, 5th and 6th are at the Ministry holding on to the portkeys, and the 7th 8th and 9th are on five minute recall from Azkaban" she looked at her partner and long term friend. "I heard rumours that Bones was also thinking of sending the Ministry cooks out into the field to help out" and Jackson laughed.

"With nine tenths of our forces out today, I just hope that nobody with a newspaper and a ball of string tries anything. I feel sorry for the 10th though, they have to stay at Azkaban in case anyone tries to break them out" he frowned slightly, "Did anyone establish if magic was involved in the Granger accident?" Jackson asked.

"Not heard anything from the investigators" said Riottz. "We better not say anything though, here they come" and she pointed to Harry and Hermione walking towards them.

"Merlin, God, Jesus, Buddha, Allah, Ghandi and William Shatner" said an Auror.

"I've seen better faces on dead bodies" said another.

"How would you know?" asked Jackson.

"I was at the Battle of The Line" said the other Auror. "Lost most of my company. I led twenty people into battle. Only two made it our alive, but my second in command died later on. I am the only survivor of the 11th company" and the Auror turned to look at the Great Lake. There was only silence.

"When this is over" said Jackson, "We'll go over to the Leaky Cauldron. I'm 1st company through and through. But… I'll stand a drink to those of the 11th" he finished. The other Auror turned back to Jackson.

"And I'll stand a drink to those of the 1st" he said.

#

"Did Madam Bones send out all of the Aurors?" Harry asked Hermione.

"I'm not certain" said his sister. "I just want to get this over with" and Harry nodded. After meeting with the Aurors, they went down to the front gates of the place and portkeyed to the house that held both happiness and now sadness within its walls.

"Spread out and check" said Jackson. Most of the Aurors spread out and checked the house.

"WE'RE HOME!" said the children automatically, then their faces dropped as they realised that their parents would never come to them.

"This will take some getting used to" Hermione said.

"Yeah, I know" said Harry, and he gave his sister and girlfriend a quick squeeze.

"We've got a bit before we have to go to the church" said Riottz. "Is there something you would like to do?" and the pair had a talk to themselves before they replied that they would like to be left alone in the house for a while. The Aurors nodded, and they made themselves invisible and then went out into the garden and sat on the many patio chairs. The two children went round the house and tidied the place up, and it was an hour later that the Aurors came back in and said that it was time that they should be leaving. A black car pulled up the driveway at that moment, and Harry and Hermione went out with Aurors Jackson and Riottz going out as well. The rest of the Aurors remained at the Granger residence until they were needed.

"Where is Mr Potter and Miss Granger?" asked Dumbledore.

"I believe that they are attending the funeral of their parents" said the wizard, "From what I have heard, they will be coming back to the Ministry as they wish to go to Gringotts" the man added.

"That is all to the good" said Dumbledore, "I'll get them when they appear" and he smiled most evilly to himself. Though most of the Aurors would bend over backwards and bugger themselves silly if Harry so ordered, Dumbledore had a number that would be loyal to him. He had got them their jobs soon after leaving school, and the former headmaster had arranged with Fudge to have them promoted as quickly as he could. All in all, Dumbledore had about twenty or so Aurors, and with only three tenths of the corp at the Ministry – and those were several floors down below the atrium – it would be easy to snatch Harry and Hermione away. Once they had been magically restrained and stunned, Dumbledore would lead his forces in a raid on Hogwarts and get Fliss and Serafina too. Once people had stopped searching, it was the old man's plan to have Harry then appear and to use his influence to have Dumbledore restored to all of his old positions.

#

The service came to an end, and Harry and Hermione followed the coffins outside into the church grounds and watched – as blank and devoid of any emotion – as the coffins were gently lowered into the soft earth. Their choice of clothes had scandalised some of the mourners, but the pair had known that their parents wanted them both to attend their funeral in colours other then black. This was why both Harry and Hermione had picked bright shades of differing colours for the service. The Aurors had been surprised to see the number of people attending – apart from the neighbours that was. Many different people turned up, though some were as representatives. One person who had made it a point to attend was Screaming Lord Sutch – the leader of the Official Monster Raving Looney Party. He returned with them to the Granger residence and spent some time with them. Before he left, Sutch solemnly inducted them into the party and promised that they would get backing from the party in standing in the General Election should they wish when older.

"Time we were off" said Jackson, and he held out a portkey. They all grabbed hold of it, and they arrived at the Ministry atrium. Within mere seconds, twenty Aurors came out of the shadows and started firing curses at the newly arrived group. Some of the Aurors dropped to the ground stunned or as a result of curses, and Harry and Hermione got shoved to the ground.

"Stay down" hissed Riottz. She fired off spells one after the other, and brought down a number of the attackers before she too was stunned. Harry jumped up, brought his wand out and stood in front of Hermione.

"Bring it" was all he said. The attacking Aurors had thought the two children had been stunned, but Harry took two of them down with body binders and one with a banishing spell – supposedly only able to be done by older students. Harry didn't know what he was doing, but sadness, anger, grief and fury all combined to make Harry very powerful indeed. Pure magical power flowed from Harry, and this made his spells double the normal power. In a matter of seconds all of the attackers had been cut down, and Hermione opened her eyes.

"Is it safe?" she asked.

"Entirely" said a calm voice, and Hermione felt a hand touch her shoulder. She spun her head around to see what was going on, and looked right at Dumbledore.

"Let her go" snarled Harry.

"I don't think so, Mr Potter" Dumbledore said. "You've caused me nothing but upset, and now you will put that all right again. You will become my apprentice, and your sister and the two girls in your care will be adopted by the Weasley family" and Harry nearly exploded with rage.

"If you don't let her go" Harry said, "Then you will die" and he brought his wand up towards him. "You should be in Azkaban, and it is only by a fluke that you are out at all. Now I'll let you go if you release Hermione" but Dumbledore flicked his wand and Harry's wand flew out of his hands.

"I'll tell you what I want you to do" said Dumbledore coldly, "You'll surrender yourself to my control. If you do not, then Miss Granger here dies" and Harry considered the options.

"Don't do it, Harry!" Hermione said, and was stunned for her troubles. While he didn't want to leave Hermione, at least this would mean that she would still live.

"I'll do it" Harry said, and he moved to where Dumbledore was.

"I knew you would see my ways" the old man said. "Now join my little party, and we'll be off to the Weasley family" and Harry looked him in the eye and grinned.

"A party? Oh great!" Harry said, "Can I invite some friends?" he asked, and the boy raised both hands above his head and clicked his fingers dramatically. "I believe you know the 4th, 5th and 6th Auror Companies" and Dumbledore dropped Hermione and started to fire spells off at the Aurors. While Dumbledore was a great and powerful wizard, there was no way that he could defeat sixty wizards in a duel. He took some out with wide ranging curses, but four spells flung him into a thick stone column. The Aurors who remained standing checked Dumbledore's forces and performed field first aid to those in danger of dying, before each one was bound up and transported to the cells. They ignored Dumbledore as they thought he was dead and therefore no longer a threat. Hermione was brought round as were the stunned and cursed escorting Aurors, and Harry hugged his sister and girlfriend tightly. They hugged, cried and kissed each other before getting up off the floor. Madam Bones came running down the corridor with Aurors Black and Miz behind her. Miz had been unable to go with the group as she had to complete work at the Ministry.

"What is going on?" asked the Minister.

"Dumbledore attacked us as soon as we got back from… being out" Harry said. "He had some Aurors with him, but our lot battled back quite well. When they had been knocked out in some way, I finished the job and then Dumbledore himself tried to kidnap Hermione. He said that he would take her, Fliss and Serafina to the Weasleys. Given the relations between our two selves, I think they would have been used as play things" Harry said, and Madam Bones knew all too well what he was meaning.

"STOP HIM!" came a shout, and they all turned to see Dumbledore getting to his feet, grabbing a second wand and running for the exits. One Auror magically increased his running speed, moved like a blur to the watching crowd, and charged after Dumbledore.

"Take this!" and the Auror sent a bolt of red energy at Dumbledore. It struck him in the back and he fell to the ground. The Auror went over, and kicked Dumbledore very hard in the ribs. "That's from the 11th" he spat at Dumbledore.

"Have them all given Veritaserum and get as much information as you can out of them" Madam Bones said. "They will be put on trial" and Sirius nodded.

"On what charges?" he asked.

"Anything that I can think of" came the reply.

#

As luck would have it, there was a correct number of people needed for a trial, and so the trials were held that very evening. Harry turned his and Hermione's robes into something more formal looking, and they took their place at the bench.

"Bring in the prisoners!" called Madam Bones. Dumbledore was led in and joined by the Aurors who had supported him. Hermione thought that was it, but in came some more people whom she didn't know about. They got stood in front Madam Bones and the rest of the bench.

"Good Evening, Ami…" Dumbledore was cut off by Madam Bones telling him to be quiet.

"Any friendship you may have had, you lost when you tried your tricks on Harry Potter" she said. "Albus Dumbledore, Peter Smith, John Smith…" it took several minutes to list all of the names for those on trial. "You are all…" this time it was the Minister for Magic's turn to be interrupted.

"I make an official protest, Minister" Harry stood from his place. Nearly every head in the place turned to see Harry standing tall and proud from where the Potters sat on the Wizendgamot.

"What is the nature of your protest, Mr Potter?" asked Madam Bones formally.

"I will tell you" Harry said, moving down the row of other members and down onto the courtroom floor. "It is more a statement then a protest really" he said. "I, Harry James Potter, do, as both head of the Potter Family and the Lord Gryffindor, take control of these proceedings" and most people knew that there was nothing that can be done otherwise then to let Harry do what he wanted.

"Very well, Lord Gryffindor" Madam Bones said, "What is your wish?" she asked him.

"I will have decided that these people need no trial, other then that from one of the founders. As the entitled hold of that title, I will so level charges" Harry said. Hermione had gone from human being to human limpet mine, and the girl was stood behind and to the left of Harry – allowing a good view of the room.

"What charges do you levy?" asked Madam Bones. She wondered if she would ever get used to a young boy attending court, and holding the power to change things if he didn't like it. From what Susan told her over the summer though, Harry didn't seem to be the sort of person who would change laws to suit himself.

"As the head of the Potter family and the Lord Gryffindor, I levy the following charges against those accused: Murder, Attempted Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, Theft, Deception with Intent, Kidnapping, Conspiracy to Kidnap, Child Abuse, Attempted Child Abuse, Conspiracy to Commit Child Abuse, Will Violation, Attempted Will Violation, Conspiracy to Pervert a Will, Destruction of Private Property, Destruction of Public Property, Desecrating a Public Memorial, Attacking the Lord Gryffindor, Conspiracy to Attack the Lord Gryffindor, Attacking the Lady Gryffindor – to – be, Conspiracy to Attack the Lady Gryffindor – to – be, Attacking the Head of a Most Ancient and Noble House, Conspiracy to Attack the Head of a Most Ancient and Noble House, Bribery, Corruption, Attacking Ministry Aurors in the course of their Duties, Cowardice in the Face of the Enemy, Use of Unforgivables, Attempted use of Unforgivables, Conspiracy to use Unforgivables, Putting Harry Potter into a really bad mood, Conspiracy to put Harry Potter in a bad mood, Hostage taking, Attempted Hostage taking, Conspiracy to take a Hostage, Attacking those under the care of the head of the Potter Family, Attacking unarmed Wizards, Attacking unarmed Witches, Littering, Falsifying official documentation, Attempting to break up a family, Placing children with unsuitable families, Selling children into Slavery, Perverting the Course of Justice and Deception" Harry stopped talking. He was sure that a lot of that was mixed up, but it should be enough to send Dumbledore and his lot down. All except for one thing that was.

"Is that all, Lord Gryffindor?" asked Madam Bones. She was impressed that he could come up with all those charges in such a short space of time. The witch knew that she could never have come up with most of them, and wondered how many of those laws were from the Muggle world.

"No, Ma'am" Harry said, and he turned to look at Hermione. The girl leaned forward, whispered something in his ear as she pulled away. "This final charge is levied at them all, Minister" he told her.

"What is the final charge?" Madam Bones. The rest of the Wizendgamot leaned forward expectantly to hear the final charge against one of the greatest wizards in recent times. In reply, he said only a single word:

"Treason" Harry said, "And there is only one sentence for that – Execution" and everyone started shouting. A large number of them argued that Harry was mad, and that he should be locked away for his own good.

"SILENCE!" bellowed Madam Bones. "The charges from Lord Gryffindor stand. Or do you perhaps like to be judged by him? I am sure that, with personal circumstances, he would be more then happy to order all your deaths" and the shouting stopped faster then one would have imagined.

"This is stupid" said Dumbledore, "You are letting a child decide on matters of law. Can you not see what he is doing? Harry Potter is brainwash your clouded minds" and Harry smiled and looked back at Madam Bones.

"Regarding my previous statement, I would like to make this the final charge: Disrespecting a Court of law" Harry smiled at Hermione. Madam Bones saw how confident Harry looked, and suddenly wondered if her job would be safe.

"You have been charged by the Lord Gryffindor. Most of these crimes for which you have been convicted of carry many years in Azkaban" Madam Bones kept a steely gaze on the group of chained prisoners in front her. "But with one charge, you will all die. I now ask the Lord Gryffindor if he wishes it to be done for all prisoners" and Harry shook his head. As he and Hermione had looked upon the group, all but one showed defiance. The remaining person was openly crying from the moment that the sentence for treason was read out, and despite everything that had happened, Harry felt sorry for this person at least. From the questioning, it had been discovered that this person, a women by the name of Harmony Angel, was a single muggleborn mother. Her husband had been killed when Voldemort had appeared at the Ministry, and this had left her to raise two small children by herself. While Harmony Angel had agreed with what had been said by Harry a good many times, it had been Dumbledore whom had got her a good job, and so she felt as if she owed him loyalty. It was the old story of purebloods first, and Hermione could attest to how difficult it could be for muggleborns to be accepted in the Wizarding world.

"I do not, Ma'am" Harry said at last. He went over to the group, held Angel by her robe sleeve and pulled her away. The woman started crying harder as she thought that she was on her way to be killed first. "These lot can executed, but not this lady. Her only crime is that of misplaced loyalty. She only did what Dumbledore wanted because he gave her a good job. If she was to be put to death, then her two children would be left without parents. I know how that feels, so I think she should be given a formal warning to last three years, fined a Knut and told not to be so silly again" and the woman was released, fined, given the formal warning for her Ministry files and then told to get on with her job. Dumbledore, the Aurors who supported him and the rest of the panel had their sentences confirmed and the group was taken down to the dungeons where they got pushed through some kind of archway. Dumbledore was killed in a different manner. An Auror conjured up a thick wooden beam to which the former headmaster was tied to, and several hooded Aurors stepped out from a door. Harry and Hermione watched the proceedings – expressions as cold and as hard as granite – and they saw that Sirius commanded the squad himself.

"Albus Dumbledore, you have been charged and found guilty of Treason. Do you have anything to say before sentence is carried out?" he asked.

"I wish to appeal" Dumbledore replied.

"Very well" Harry said. "You appeal has been considered. Your appeal has been refused. The sentence will be performed. Auror Black – carry out your duty" and Sirius nodded.

"Aurors. Make ready" they gripped their wands, "Aim" they came up to point at Dumbledore, "Fire" five green bolts flew out of the wands and hit Dumbledore. So that no body knew who had cast the killing curse, all but one of the wands had been charmed to send out nothing but a stunner, despite whatever the caster tried. The body jerked and then fell still – it appeared that Dumbledore was dead. But as they filed out of the room, the body coughed and spluttered.

"The cheek of the man" said Sirius. He removed his wand and made towards Dumbledore, but Harry put out his hand to stop him.

"No" he said, "I've seen enough of death to last me a lifetime. Take him to St Mungos, place him in the most powerful restraints possible, treat him and then put him in Azkaban until the day that he dies" and Harry walked out hand in hand with Hermione.

#

"I could sleep for a week" said Hermione.

"I know" Harry agreed. "At least Dumbledore will never ever trouble us again, and now we can start to rebuild our lives" and Hermione smiled.

"What did you go to Gringotts for?" she asked. After leaving the Ministry, the pair had made a quick stop at the bank so Harry could pick something up from the Potter vaults.

"Because of this" Harry retrieved the small black box that he had hidden down the back of the sofa as soon as they had got back to their suite. He stood up, turned around and went to one knee in front of Hermione. "I know we are still young and all, but I want to make sure that you are perfectly safe. Hermione Jane Granger" the box opened on its own accord, "Will you marry me?" Harry asked.

"Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes" Hermione said, and leant forwards to kiss Harry on the lips. "Oh god, Harry, I never thought you'd ask me to marry you" and they hugged each other tightly.

"We're only twelve and thirteen, so I don't expect anything like sex or anything naughty like that. Not until we are both much older" Harry told her.

"Sex? Ewwwwwwwwwwwwww" Hermione said making a face.

"Well where do you think that babies come from?" Harry asked with a grin.

"Would you mind if we made this a secret for now?" Hermione asked as she looked into his eyes.

"Why?" asked Harry.

"Well I've been thinking that the Wizarding world might not take too kindly to this" Hermione reasoned, "Someone might have a marriage contract made out for you" she added.

"I've read all about them" Harry put on his best Hermione voice, and this earned him the 'eyebrow on stun' look from her. "From what I remember without having to look in a book, an engagement will block anything like that from taking place. In other words" Harry smiled, "You're safe" and there was another round of hugging.

Before they went to get a late dinner, Hermione went upstairs and hid the ring in the bottom of her trunk. Upon arriving at the hall, they spotted Serafina and Fliss coming out and so they stopped a moment to talk. It was then that they found out about the news of Dumbledore's arrest. Clearly the news of the sentences had not yet reached the school, and Harry and Hermione wondered what the reactions from the rest of Wizarding Britain would be. After talking to them for some time, the pair went inside, sat down at the nearly empty Gryffindor table and ate dinner. As they did so, Harry thought about the next morning when news of Dumbledore's execution made the morning papers. If the Wizarding world tried anything on him, Hermione, Fliss or Serafina, then he would take them out of the country and let the next dark lord take over. He didn't care about the fact he was the boy-who-lived, all Harry Potter wanted was a family. People who knew him, who cared for him and who loved him. He had that for a while, but then that was taken away from him. When he found the person or person responsible for this, then he would tear them limb from limb. After that, he would leave the Wizarding world with Hermione, Fliss and Serafina, and they would find another school to go to. One where you didn't have to have one hand on your wand all the time. Harry would regret not talking to their friends, but that was the price he would be willing to pay for the safety of his family. As he ate silently, the boy remembered something that his father had said to him long ago.

"If anything should happen to us, then you are the man of the house. Protect your sister, and make sure she is safe" Harry had never forgotten that. Hermione returned to the suite to spend much needed time with Fliss, but he went to speak to Professor McGonagall. Hen he sat in her office, he told her exactly what had happened, what he had done, and finished by telling her that if a member of his family was attacked he would remove the whole lot of them from Hogwarts. McGonagall understood why the Sorting Hat had put Harry in Gryffindor – loyalty. The women wondered if all twelve year olds acted liked this now. Another part of her said that this twelve year old had the power to sack her if he so wished. From now on, Hogwarts would be in for one hell of a ride.

A/N:

Finished the chapter at last!

First of all, the charges that Harry gives to those who plotted to split him from the girls. All those charges were on the statute books for UK law during the time of the Harry Potter books are set in. This includes the charge of Treason which was still a capital offence under UK law until 1998. (Note: I have not made a mistake between Treason and treason. When used in legal terms, a capital letter is used for the word while lower is used for informal use such as newspaper reporting. That also applies to how I put the other charges.)

Screaming Lord Sutch was the leader of the Monster Raving Looney Party until 1998, and holds the record for the most times stood for election and never actually got a seat. To be honest, none of his party have ever won a seat in parliament, but several have got council seats. Only my reviewers from the UK will get that one.

There is a reference to Book One somewhere in here, it's a line from Harry – that's the only clue you will get.

The method of Dumbledore's execution is exactly as it would have been done in the 19th Century for deserters up to the end of the 2nd World War for the British Army. When Sirius attempts to finish the job, he is doing what is in the manual – Harry though had enough of death and sent Dumbledore down for the rest of his life.

Oddly enough though, as per True Friends Harry's weakness can be families. This can be viewed in when he drops everything against one member of the panel for just a fine, reprimand and told not to be silly.

Don't worry, I still have plans for Snape to be arrested and tried in a full court of law, the reappearance of everyone's favourite lawyer – Catherine Smith, fines for the Weasleys (they did take part in the attempted kidnapping after all), and someone tries a love potion on Harry, and ice cream.

Many thanks to those who wished me well. I am now back with a vengeance, and as a reward I will tell you this: I'm Not Going is nearly over. Just two more chapters codenamed ING39 and ING40, and that is it. At the end of ING40, I may OR may not have some news for you. This is so secret, not even The Submaruder, joemjackson or Miz636 know about it. Those people who read this and Leaving Home please take note. Postings will be as follows: Leaving Home, Leaving Home, I'm Not Going, Leaving Home (final chapter), I'm Not Going (final chapter). Note: This does not include postings for Never Assume The Worst or Escape To A New World

Hope you enjoyed this chapter
