Sophie's POV…
Sitting next to the Doctor on the table next to the ancient text, I sighed to myself as I held my mate's hand under the table, fingers entwined. I couldn't believe the TARDIS was gone. I had tried to call for her multiple times. However, I didn't get a response like I normally did, which just broke my heart every time I didn't.
With the TARDIS gone, we wouldn't be able to go on anymore adventures through time and space. Now, I was just going to be stuck on Earth, living a life that I had wanted to get away from. I had to settle down, stay still, and that was something I didn't want to do. After all that I've seen, I didn't want to live a normal life.
And I knew that the Doctor didn't want to either. He loved traveling and my heart broke for him that he couldn't do that anymore. But we didn't have a choice anymore.
Though I didn't want to live a normal life, if my mate was still there and living it with me, it would be worth it. A life without the Doctor was a life that I didn't want to be a part of.
I felt my Theta squeeze my hand and brush his thumb across the back of it, causing me to look up into his concerned eyes.
'Are you alright?' he asked me mentally.
'Yes…I'm fine…' I sighed, 'I just can't believe the TARDIS is gone…' I instantly felt the Doctor's sadness at the mention of his beloved time machine and I winced as his sadness came over me, making my sadness about the TARDIS increase.
'I know…' my mate whispered solemnly. 'I'm sorry that I trapped you here, Sophie…'
'Don't apologize.' I told him sternly. 'It wasn't your fault. Don't blame yourself.'
The Doctor didn't say anything as the sound of Zach's voice came over the tannoy.
"Danny, check the temperature of the Ood Habitation. It seems to be rising."
Rose, who was sitting at the table with us and unknown to us was plotting a way to break us apart, stood up and I watched her walk over to this hatch, stepping through it once she was there. Food was being served in there but I wasn't really all that hungry. Still too upset about the TARDIS to eat. I turned back towards my mate to see him staring at the ancient text with furrowed eyebrows. He had been trying to figure out what it was saying for a while now.
"Still no luck?" I asked him, not mentally this time.
He shook his head, looking frustrated. "None," he told me.
I rubbed his shoulder soothingly and he relaxed under my touch. "No need getting frustrated about it, Theta," I said and he looked over at me. "Some things are better off not knowing about."
He nodded, but then frowned as he stared back at the text, a thoughtful look crossing his face.
I stood up to my feet and patted his shoulder. "I'll be right back," I told him. "I'm going to get something to eat. You want something?"
He kept his eyes on the text as he answered me, "Nah, I'm fine."
"Okay." Since Rose wasn't in here, I kissed him on the cheek before heading over in the direction Rose went.
Rose's Third Person POV...
Rose was still trying to think of a way to separate the Doctor and Sophie. But she couldn't come up with anything! She tried to do it before, but she failed miserably. She had to come up with something, though. She couldn't let Sophie have the Doctor.
The Doctor was hers and she was going to have him even if it killed her.
To those who knew Rose Tyler, they would be disgusted by her, that she was even thinking of trying to hurt people she cared about.
Jealousy was a horrible thing. It made people do horrible things, act in a way that wasn't the way they truly acted.
Rose would soon find out that whatever she did to break Sophie and the Doctor up, she would regret it as long as she lived.
But Rose, right now, didn't know this, so here she was, sitting next to the Doctor and Sophie, who had no idea what thoughts were in her head right now.
The sound of Ida's voice and the lights flickering on and off broke Rose's twisted thoughts.
"Zach, we got a problem," she said into her communicator as she brought it up to her mouth.
"No more than usual. Got the Scarlett system burning up, it might be worth a look."
Ida glanced over at Rose, the Doctor, and Sophie and said, getting their attention, "You might wanna see this. Moment in history." She pulled a lever, which opened the overhead shutters, revealing the black hole overhead and flooding the room with soft red light.
"What are we looking at?" Sophie asked curiously, looking at Ida.
She pointed, "There. On the edge."
Sophie followed her finger to the stream of red light that was spiraling into the black hole and an awed expression crossed her face, causing a smile to appear on the Doctor's face as he gazed at her.
Rose scowled mentally at the sight of it, clenching her jaw angrily.
"That red cloud…that used to be the Scarlett system," Ida explained. "Home to the Peluchi…a mighty civilization spanning a billion years…disappearing. Forever. Their planets and suns consumed." When the last of the Scarlett system disappeared into the black hole, she went on, an air of fascination in her tone of voice, "Ladies and gentleman we have witnessed its passing." She went to pull the lever to close the shutter again but the Doctor stopped her.
"Er, no could you leave it open?" he asked. Rose and Sophie looked over at him. "Just for a bit. I won't go mad, I promise."
"How would you know?" The Doctor simply smiled at her and she shook her head at him before saying to Scooti, "Scooti, check the lockdown." The young woman nodded and left the room then Ida looked to Jefferson, "Jefferson, sign off the airlock for me." He nodded and both of them left, leaving the Doctor, Sophie, and Rose alone.
"Open Door 18."
Wanting to show off her knowledge about black holes, Rose spoke up. "Did you know that black holes are like gateways to another universe?" But instead of getting a proud look from the Doctor, she got a confused one.
"Where did you hear that?"
"Well, that's what they say in movies," Rose admitted weakly.
"Well, not this one," The Doctor told her. "This one just eats."
"Oh…" For the first time since she started traveling with the Doctor, Rose felt stupid. Shaking herself out of it, she changed the subject, "Long way from home…" she sighed at the thought of her mother. She would never see her again. But then again with her not going back, it gave her a better chance to stay with the Doctor. She could feel the Doctor glance at her then cleared his throat, causing her to look back at him. Once she was, he spoke up as he pointed outside.
"Go that way, turn right, keep going for um…about five hundred years…then you'll reach the Earth."
Rose took her phone out of her pocket at the same time as Sophie, pushing a few buttons. "No signal." She sighed.
"Same here," Sophie said, getting the same results on her phone. Then she stood up. "I'm going to see if I can get a signal somewhere else." With that, she left the table and Rose internally cheered.
Finally some alone time with the Doctor.
Though she was about this fact, she didn't show it on the outside. She pretended to still be sad at not being able to call home.
"That's the first time we've gone out of range." Rose looked at the Doctor to find he was staring at Sophie and she forced herself not to growl angrily at this fact. Instead, she cleared her throat to get his attention. "Mind you, even if I could call her…what would I tell her…? Can you build another TARDIS?" She laughed half-heartedly, knowing the answer. It was impossible.
"They were grown, not built. And with my own plant gone, we're sort of stuck."
Rose patted him on the arm to comfort him. She hadn't mean to make him sad. That's the last thing she wanted to do to the man she loved. Her hand stayed on his arm, something the Doctor noticed and stared down at with a small frown, but Rose didn't notice this as she focused on comforting him.
"Well, it could be worse," she told him. "This lot said they would give us a lift."
The Doctor met her eyes again. "And then what?"
"I don't know…find a planet…live a life, same as the rest of the universe." 'And hopefully by that time Sophie will be gone for good.' Rose added in her head.
"Pfft… I'd have to settle down. In a house or something, a proper home with…with…with…with DOORS and things. Carpet! Me! Living in a house!" The Doctor laughed and Rose laughed too. Yeah, it was hard to imagine the Doctor settling down. Though she wouldn't complain about setting down with him…without Sophie in the picture. "Now that … thatis terrifying."
"You'd have to get a mortgage," Rose said in a sing song voice.
A horrified expression came upon his face as he stared at her. "No."
"Oh yes."
"I am dying," The Doctor said in fake exasperation, making Rose giggle. It felt like old times before Sophie came into the picture and it made her feel a lot lighter, lighter than she had been in days. "That's it. I am dying, it's all over."
"What about me? I'd have to go get one too." Rose looked at him, a hopeful look on her face. "I dunno, could be the same one…we could share."
The Doctor shifted awkwardly in his seat before he sighed heavily. "Rose…"
A coldness swept over her. "What?" she asked rather coldly, earning another sigh from him.
He opened his mouth to speak, but was cut off by Rose's phone going off. Frowning in confusion, she answered it and the words spoken made her throw her phone to the floor, shocked.
"He is awake."
What the hell?

The Impossible Planet, Part 3...
For some reason, I'm having a writer's block for these two episodes, so I think these two will be told in multiple parts but hopefully not too many. But at least you'll be getting updates and not waiting for another one. But I'll try not to make the parts too short. Oh and you'll notice, we've been getting a lot of Rose's POV in this episode because I want to show how much she's letting her jealousy of the Doctor and Sophie's relationship get the best of her. Just like the Face of Boe warned her not to let happen, so I hope that shows. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the update. Tell me what you think :) And thanks for being patient. I really appreciate it. :)
