Today is the day Eridor, Saphira and Eragon return home.
Yes, I wonder what their big secret is.
Arya nodded her head, Me too, I can safely assume they found the vault, but I don't know what exactly they found, all I know is Eragon's mind felt different. I miss him Eridor.
I know you do Arya, I can feel your anticipation for his arrival.
Arya sighed, as she stared out towards the direction Eragon and Saphira were expected to arrive from. The elf stood on top of the building where Nasuada resided, Arya climbed the outside of the building to the top, so that she could have some privacy, yet remain close to the Varden ruler, for when Eragon returned. Eridor flew in circles above the elf, Arya could tell he was just as anxious as herself, for the return of Saphira and Eragon.
Eridor, I think that I shall head back to our tent, perhaps you can stay here and watch over Nasuada.
Why do you wish to go back pointy-ears?
Arya's cheeks reddened, the elf knew she could not hide the truth from Eridor, even if she tried. I just want to change clothes into something a little bit more...presentable.
Arya could feel Eridor's amusement through their link. I do not think the rider will care about your outfit princess.
Whatever. Arya sent her love to Eridor mentally and then, in a display of elven grace, she ran towards the edge of the building and jumped off. The elf did a quick spin in mid-air, in order to reduce her velocity and land safely. Once on the ground, Arya ran through the backstreets swiftly, allowing the wind to run through her hair. Arya was anxious, ever since the two confessed their love for each other, Eragon and Arya have barely spent any time apart and admittedly, she missed the rider dearly. After what seemed like only a few minutes of running, the elf arrived at her tent and stepped inside hurriedly, only to find the last thing she expected to see.
"Eragon?!"
The rider smiled, as he stood up from her bed, "Arya."
The elf could not help herself or resist the temptation of running into his arms. As they hugged, Arya felt relieved. "How did you get inside my tent without anyone noticing? Where's Saphira?"
Eragon smiled, "She is outside the city, I wanted to come and retreive you, meet us outside the city with Eridor. There are many things we must tell and show you, and I think it is important that you know first, before the Varden, because you are a rider."
Arya nodded her head, understanding Eragon's reasons. "Aye, let me change and then we shall meet you outside the city."

"You look great Arya."
The elven princess smiled, "Thank you, so tell me Eragon, how did it go."
Eragon cleared his thoat, preparing for a seemingly long-winded explanation. "Okay, well we found the Vault of Souls in the desert. While meditating, I noticed all of the energy in the desert flowed in one direction. So, Saphira and I followed that energy until we arrived at an ominous rock, once there I spoke my true name and unlocked the Vault of Souls. Saphira and I walked in carefully, the earth itself seemed to split in two, revealing a grand stair case. We descended the stairs and arrived at the entrance to the vault, once there we witnessed a truly amazing environment."
As the rider spoke, he sent mental images to both Arya and Eridor, so that they understood just how amazing the Vault of Souls is. "I met with the first Eragon, he explained to me what exactly, the Vault of Souls is. Apparently, I was not physically in the Vault, instead my soul was allowed to enter the Vault and speak to the soul of the first Eragon. The Vault of Souls is where the souls of every dragon rider rest. After we die, through our Gedway Ignasia's, our souls are transported there, where we rest until one day, our knowledge and power is needed. I have gained an immense amount of knowledge concerning magic and my power has grown tremendously. The first Eragon has told me, that there is no being alive, other than Galbotorix, who could match my prowess; however, he also explained that, I am still not as strong as Galbotorix, who has the power of the dragons, but now I stand a chance at least."
Arya stood quietly, trying to process all of the information she was receiving. On the one hand, it finally seemed like the Varden stood a fighting chance against Galbotorix. On the other hand, it was clear that something was bothering Eragon.
"What's wrong Eragon?"
The rider smiled slightly, "You know me so well Arya. As the souls of every rider poured their strength into me, I gained valuable knowledge, I also gained some of their pain and agony. It is as if more than one presence resides in my mind now, and although the presence of all those riders may be faint, it is enough to bother me if I focus on them. Also, I swear I saw Brom's face, if only for a moment, it brought forward painful memories that have still not entirely left me."
Instead of responding via words, Arya opened her mind to Eragon and sent him all of the love she felt for him. The elf did not hold back and she was unsure if she would regret her decision, but she let it all go, revealing her true emotions for the rider. Arya rejoiced, as Eragon responded in kind. The amount of love Eragon felt for Arya was insane and just as Arya secretly wished, it rivaled her own love. Arya hoped that Eragon understood what was happening. For elves, knowing that someone loves you and knowing, to exactly what extent they love you, was two vastly different things and because of this, their bond has now deepened.
Thank you Arya-Svit Kona, Shadeslayer, Drottingu, Argetlam.
Thank you Eragon Shadeslayer, Argetlam, Bromson.
Saphira opened her mind to both Eragon and Arya, Little ones, I hate to interrupt this love-fest, but Eridor and I have grown tired of you two staring each other down, let us return to the Varden and speak to Nasuada.
Aye, I agree Saphira; however, Eridor and I do have one question. So what do we do next, now that you found the Vault?
Eragon responded, I think we should prepare our troops for war, march to Dras-leona, take the city and then prepare for Ura'baen.

"Again!" Rexus swung his blade horizontally, Allard blocked the strike, while Desiree struck towards Rexus's knees. Rexus jumped into the air, dodging Desiree's attack, then struck down vertically towards Desiree. Allard blocked Rexus's blade and then the pair of elves began their most complex strikes, hoping to overwhelm their master. Even with their best efforts it became clear that they could not hit Rexus, who, managed to parry every attack they threw at him.
"Come on! How are we supposed to hit you." Allard said, exasperated.
Rexus frowned, "Listen, I told you two already, your stregnth lies with each other. Think as one and merge your minds, try to imagine that Desiree is the right arm, Allard is the left arm and you share the same body. You two must work together to have any chance against that shade.
Desiree nodded her head before speaking, "What should we do if the shade attacks our minds."
"Think of each other, focus on the one thing you love most about the other, and utilize that emotion to defend your mind from a shade, while hopefully, the other partner works on killing the shade."
Allard spoke, "That makes sense, is that why you fight? For love?"
Rexus shook his head, seemingly amused by the question. "No, I fight for myself."
"Isn't that a bad reason to fight?"
"The reason you fight does not matter, it is your dedication to your reason that matters and I am very dedicated to my goals."
"Hm, what are your goals Rexus?" Desiree asked, curiosity etched into her features.
"My only goal right now is to help you two get revenge."
"Why are we important to you?"
"You two are genuine, something that most elves are not. Enough talking, the sun is coming down let us get ready."
Allard frowned, "Ready for what?"
Rexus smiled in his sinister way, "Tonight we shall sneak into Feinster and try to figure out where the Varden are heading next, I don't want Iszlandi to find about you guys, so we must be careful." After his word's Rexus whistled and his three horses came to the clearing, in which the three elves were training. "Alright guys, bring your swords and nothing more, secrecy is the key."

Angela looked up towards the sky, the sun was beggining to set on Feinster and truthfully, the woman always felt more alive at night.
"Solumbum, should we fight in this next battle coming up or just go fishing?" Angela smiled as the werecat simply licked his claws.
"I suppose your right solumbum, we did already go fishing last year, perhaps the battle will be more exciting..." Angela's words were cut off when Solumbum, who seemed alarmed, morphed into a young boy and slowly crept towards the outside walls of feinster. Curiously, Angela followed quietly.
After a few minutes of sneaking around, the herbalist and the werecat found themselves inside of a small house that overlooked Nasuada's headquarters. Angela cursed under her breath as she heard unfamiliar whispers upstairs, carefully, the woman climbed the stairs to find three elves, seemingly spying upon, what Angela perceived to be, a meeting between Nasuada and Eragon.
The herbalist frowned when she heard one of the elves speak without turning his head, "You know I protected our presence from humans, dwarves and elves, but I guess I never considered that a werecat could sense us."
