I think I have officially ran out of disclaimers, so enjoy the potential repeats! I don't own the Teen Titans!

Beast Boy bounced his leg nervously as he sat on the common room couch, waiting for his girlfriend to reappear. They had returned to the tower about an hour ago, after spending most of the day wandering through the city. Though he hadn't disclosed where he was taking her for dinner, he had hinted that she'd have to probably wear a dress. And after giving him one of the fiercest glares she could muster, he watched as Starfire happily whisked her away.

He then changed into a nicer outfit of his own - a pair of black slacks and a grey striped button down shirt. He liked sticking to neutrals, since his complexion tended to clash with almost every other color. But ever since he started dating the empath, he was becoming a lot less concerned with his outer appearance - after quite a bit of coaxing, he learned that she actually loved the color green.

Smiling to himself, he ran his fingers through his hair for the hundredth time since sitting down on the couch. He had attempted to comb it down a bit, but he knew that it would probably get messed up anyways, so he continued messing with it.

Glancing back at the door, Beast Boy let out an exasperated sigh. He knew that Starfire was most definitely going to take advantage of this little hour of Raven's birthday, so he wasn't exactly surprised that the girls were taking so long. Plus, he knew that Raven was going to ask him to make it up to her, and he was completely prepared for that. Patting down his pant pocket absently, he felt the outline of the small box hidden within. He knew Raven wasn't into giant, extravagant things, but after snooping through her room countless times as he waited for her to return from the shower, he stumbled upon her jewelry box.

And, naturally, he opened it.

He was surprised to learn that she had quite a thing for stud earrings - he hadn't even realized her ears were pierced. And yet the proof had been right before him as he searched through all of her earrings, seeing what kind she didn't have.

He was pleasantly surprised to learn that she didn't have anything green. And he considered himself the expert when it came to anything green.

So as he sat on the common room couch, patting the hidden box in his pocket, and smiling to himself, he couldn't help but imagine his girlfriend's reaction as he presented her with her gift.

The sound of the doors opening interrupted his little daydream, and he quickly whipped his head back around, only to let out a huff of frustration.

Robin stood in the doorway, a confused expression plastered across his face as he stared back at the changeling.

"Uh?"

Beast Boy let out another sigh as he turned away from his leader. "Sorry - I thought you were Rae," he mumbled, bouncing his leg once more.

He could hear Robin shuffling behind him, before the boy wonder let out a small laugh. "Star got a hold of her, eh?"

"Heh, yep." Beast Boy leaned back against the couch, drumming his fingers on his knee as he willed time to go faster. He knew Starfire was going to make Raven look stunning, though he thought she was just as beautiful without her makeup. Even if she disagreed.

He was really excited to see her in a dress, though. She was always hidden beneath her cloak, or under over-sized hoodies, and at the risk of sounding pig-ish, he was hoping he'd at least get to see her shoulders or something. He found her so petite and adorable, and he loved the fact that he was now so much taller than her, because it made her seem even tinier.

The sound of the doors opening once more caught his attention, and he again whipped his head around. A large, toothy smile sprouted across his face as he took in the sight of his girlfriend.

Raven hated dressing up. She hated dresses. She hated curling her hair, or applying anything more than mascara to her face - she hated it all. But she absolutely loved the look on her boyfriend's face whenever she did dress up.

He always looked confused - like he knew he shouldn't have such a big reaction, but the actual sight of her in anything but leggings was always such a shock. He'd give her his signature dopey smile, fumble over his words a bit, and then laugh nervously. And it never failed to make her smile.

Right now, he was in the mumbling incoherently stage. She could understand bits and pieces of his speech, like "beautiful" and "amazing", and after a few more syllables, he gave up and began laughing nervously.

She knew she looked nice - Starfire really outdid herself with "the makeover of the celebratory day of the birth". She had curled the empath's hair loosely, before pulling it into a loose side braid and leaving a few stray pieces to frame her face. She then applied a generous amount of mascara, along with a pale pink blush and a pink-nude lipstick. She also managed to squeeze Raven into one of her old dresses, since the empath didn't have many of her own.

It was a black, spaghetti-strapped dress that reached mid-thigh, and was fitted along her torso, and then flared out a bit at her hips. It gave the illusion that she was extremely curvy - despite the fact that she already had a bit of an hourglass shape. Starfire also talked her into a pair of black heels, though she was planning on switching to a pair of black flats hidden in her bag.

Raven rolled her eyes fondly as her boyfriend hesitantly reached for her hand, his laughing fading slowly. She happily intertwined their fingers, ignoring her blush and the stifled coo from her alien teammate, who was smiling brighter than the both of them.

"Should we get going?" Beast Boy asked nervously, shyly avoiding her gaze.

Raven tried not to roll her eyes as she pulled her boyfriend down the hall and towards the elevator. She was pleasantly surprised that he had managed to dress himself in something appropriate - she was expecting jeans and a t-shirt. But he had the sense to wear nice pants and a nice shirt, and she thought he looked incredibly handsome - despite his messy hairdo.

"You really do look great, Rae," Beast Boy blurted as they stepped onto the elevator.

Raven shot him a quick smile, before pushing the button for the garage. "Thank you, Beast Boy. You look very nice, as well."

Beast Boy beamed at the compliment, before wrapping his arm around her waist and pulling her closer. He was about to give her a quick peck on her cheek, but he stopped short, letting a small gasp escape through his lips.

Raven turned towards him, giving him a confused look. "What is it?"

Her boyfriend quickly turned away from her, loosening his grip on her waist slightly.

"Nothing," he mumbled quickly.

Raven arched her brow skeptically, though she refrained from pushing him. After all, it was her birthday, and she really didn't want to start a fight. But his sudden shift in moods threw her for a loop, and she wasn't sure what caused it.

Deciding to ignore it for now, she waited for the elevator to reach the garage. Once it did, they both stepped out silently and made their way towards the T-car, which Cyborg had again agreed to letting them borrow. Though he was planning on making another car, but the question was if he'd ever get around to it. Nothing was confirmed, but the whole team was pretty sure the robotic titan was occupying his time with a certain Titans East leader, rather than working on the new vehicle.

Smirking as Beast Boy opened the passenger door for her, she was about to climb in, but the changeling beat her to it. She watched in annoyance as the green titan crawled across the front and sat himself in the driver's seat, before motioning for her to sit down as well.

Shaking her head in amusement, she complied with the roll of her eyes and sat down, before closing the door and pulling on her seat belt.

"So, where are we going?" she mused casually, hoping her boyfriend would slip up.

Instead, he shot her a playful glare as he put the car in drive. "Nice try, Rae."

Shrugging innocently, Raven glanced out the window, deciding that she'd just guess once they reached the city. She also decided on guessing what he could have gotten her. He didn't seem to have a present with him, unless it was small enough to fit in his pockets. If that were the case, then she figured it must have been some form of jewelry. She wasn't big on material things, but she did love delicate pieces of jewelry.

As they entered the city, Raven tried to think of all the restaurants located on the current street they were on. Being a superhero, as well as a bit of a perfectionist, she had memorized basically the whole city, and knew where every shop was located. Right as she finished listing all of the places on that road, Beast Boy turned off of it.

Stifling a growl of frustration, she began thinking of all the restaurants on the new road.

Meanwhile, Beast Boy was panicking internally as he drove towards their destination. He knew he had a knack of screwing things up, but this was even beyond him.

He had bought Raven a beautiful pair of emerald earrings. And then saw that her ears weren't even pierced.

And he wouldn't even be able to explain why he had bought them! Either he was too unobservant to notice her ears weren't pierced, or he was too nosy and snooped through her room and found a box of unused earrings. And either excuse would send him to the doghouse.

Sure, he had made dinner reservations at a quiet, quaint, fancy little restaurant that he knew she'd love, and he also had a beautiful bouquet waiting there for her. But he didn't have a gift.

He was such a screw up.

Sneaking a quick glance at her, he felt his panic lessen a bit. She had an irritated look on her face as her lips moved slightly, and he knew that she was silently listing all of the potential places he was taking her. And it was adorable.

Smiling to himself, he knew that she would probably shake her head in amusement when presented with the gift. So, making up his mind, he decided that he would give it to her anyway. She could just add it to her collection, and then he could quickly run to the store the next day and buy her something useful.

Feeling his grin widen, he took another turn, and stifled a small chuckle as a growl of exasperation sounded from his girlfriend's throat.

Yay! Cute fluffy fluff! I think I'm getting pretty good at this lol

So, here is another random update! And it's still Raven's birthday! Lmao

Oh, but it was also my birthday a few days ago, so I'm still in the birthday-celebrating mood! Meaning there will probably be two more chapters of birthday bliss, and then our favorite couple will be faced with something different!

So, leave a review? That'd be awesome! :D
