-I love you.

Kagome was admiring Kaya, her tiny little fingers and toes, she was absolutely gorgeous. Now fully fed she was sleeping peacefully on one of the mats on the floor.

Sango sat opposite her, smiling at the joy in her friend. "You know she looks so much like you, but you can definitely tell she is the child of Sesshomaru."

Kagome laughed, "Oh yeah, what gave it away? The crescent moon or the amber eyes?"

Sango smiled again.

"He's doing a lot better, his fever broke last night."

Kagome frowned suddenly, thinking of the bad shape that Sesshomaru was still in.

"I thought he'd be better by now. It's been almost 5 days Sango. You don't think he'll…"

"No," her friend interrupted. "You must think positive Kagome."

"Oh Sango, I'm trying. Nothing seems to go my way though, if you know what I mean. But, if it meant I lost Kaya, I wouldn't trade it for anything."

2 days later and there was no change in Sesshomaru.

Kagome didn't get a wink of sleep that night.

Hours after she laid down her sleep finally came.

Someone was shaking her, rather roughly. She grunted and turned on her side, ignoring the intruder.

"Kagome..Kagome. You must get up."

She registered the frantic plea in the person's voice and her eyes shot open.

There was crying behind her, Kaya was wailing and in the corner Sango was pacing.

"What is going on!" she screeched.

Sango stopped, looking at her friend. Her eyes were filled with tears.

Kagome shook her head.

"No."

"No."

She stood up, ignoring her child, ignoring Shippo sniffling in the corner.

She covered her ears; her head was starting to hurt.

"No. ."

Sango grabbed her arm, but she jerked it away.

"He can't be…he's not, you said, you told, you, you lied!" She screamed at her friend.

Sango tried to touch her again, but Kagome was too distressed to notice her futile efforts of comforting.

"You fucking lied to me!"

Kagome was screaming, she sunk to her knees, her eyes were dripping tears.

The cries were coming from everywhere, too much, it was too much!

"Shut up!" she screamed, she couldn't take it and dashed from the hut that was suffocating her.

She ran to the hut that held Sesshomaru.

Kaede was standing before a covered body.

"You lied to me!" Kagome screamed at her.

"No child, I did not, he was doing fine a few days ago, and the poison was just too strong for him."

Kagome wouldn't believe it.

She had said, had done such horrible things to him.

She threw the covers back, revealing his pale white face.

"Sesshomaru!" She screeched.

"Get up Sesshomaru. Open your eyes! Open them." She touched his face, her body shaking, her lower lip trembling, and the sobs too strong to control.

"Open your eyes! No!"

"You can't die! I can't be left alone! I love you! Please come back!" She was gripping his face by this time, her tears landing fast on his face.

She slumped down, sobbing into her knees, her hand still by his face.

Kaede reached out and held the sobbing girl.
