If you thought that Ulala's news reveal about the villains and Satan's secret alliance with her was shocking, then wait until you see how a majority of the Legion members respond to this. As a fair warning, the last part of this chapter may be a big messy unless anyone of you are familiar with the ultra-violent and over-the-top world of MadWorld. Without further delay, let's get this started and see what Mishaela and the other shave to say to the Russian general.
The villains were finally facing their first aggressor in the form of General Winter, spoke to them via his own transmission as his Russian air force continues to attack the massive warship. His serious face and constant silence meant that he wanted some answers from these guys for what have they done to Russia in the past. Mishaela was the first person that stepped forward since she does have some words to say to her human aggressor that dared to challenge the Legion's might.
"If you want a member of the Legion to speak to, you are better off speaking to the one that attacked you precious homeland. Look around, it's obvious that he wouldn't be on this ship, yet you are attacking us out here and trying to keep us from reaching our net destination. You must be that determined if you think that you'll stop us from getting that Chaos Emerald, foolish man," she said before making a cold smile.
The cold general made a scowling face in response to the sorceress's smart remark and tightens the grip of the dominant hand above his transmitter.
"You have quite the mouth for a woman, which could explain why you were chosen to be a general for your squadron. We chose to attack you of the entire Legion since you were the closest ones to us when we left on our journey to crush the one responsible for the invasion. As someone who had partaken in a bloody war like the Cold War, I will not show mercy towards anyone regardless of their allegiance or nationality. We Russia are a superpower that will back down to no one, not even low class villains like you and your pathetic Legion!" he shouted.
Mishaela turned to see her fellow villains, standing behind her as they glared at their new attacker after his harshly cold words. She was equally as mad as them since she would rather have no one that lacks the powers of a sorceress to challenge her, and she was already still made about Azel quitting the Legion on her watch in the past.
"Since we have been saving our weapons for far to long, I think we should at least use the weapons and shields to end this interrupting quickly. I doubt Eggman would be pleased with use being stalled any longer," Neff said.
"Agree with that notion too! It has to be the best option since we should head to the Curien Mansion immediately. I doubt that The Magician would want wait any longer to be home," said the optimistic Max D. Cap.
The blue skinned sorceress thought deeply about this situation since there are the good things and bad things about wasting some of the ship's power just to take out some ex-Communist air aids from slowing their journey down. They would need it for future references like an massive air raid from all heroes in the near future or making it to The Dark One's domain after obtaining all seven Chaos Emeralds. The good thing about depending on the ship's weapons is that some villains wouldn't be tired out by time they actually make to the Curien Mansion. And so she could prove General Winter wrong by taking out his air fleet within minutes after the Squilla disaster that had occurred within days.
"Very well, I'll tell my men to activate the weapons on this ship and make your little army pointless. After all, I know that the army from your primitive country wouldn't be enough to stop this ship once she really unless our trump card. We have a world to take over and we won't let the likes of you to stop us from obtaining it. I can tell the main ship where you command is out there somewhere and we'll crush it on sight!" she said.
"It wouldn't matter either way since I've only sent a portion of my men and a vast majority of them are headed to the Curien Mansion to make sure that you land in the most defenseless way possible. Never underestimate an experienced general like me or the massive fighting force that Russia has. Besides, I've ran into a few friends to help us reclaim our country and he's very good with air raids with the help of his ship the Delphinus. And that said ship is where I reside to make sure that I keep my entire army in check and it's near the center of the horizon. Any objections, woman?" he explained with a fearless tone.
That last statement was enough to prove everyone in the room that General Winter is more than just a feeble old man with the smarts to become a great commander for more than just Mother Russia. This was enough to interest the wise Master Zik in this general for his advanced ways of planning things out and ambitious ways of managing a smaller army.
"It seems like we've not only know what this man is capable of, but what we have top prepare for soon as we actually make it to the Curien Mansion. Very interesting indeed," he said while observing the screen ahead of him.
"Now what are we going to do? He's got us in a tight position and his already small portion will still attack us even if we try to leave them behind," Dedede complained.
Raidou had clutched the king of Dream Land by the shoulders of his red coat and tugged him into the air and closer to his demonic face. He was already in a bad mood for his identity being revealed and he had a few questions for this lazy king that barely contributed to the group.
"Why don't you tell me when your army will get here to help us out, weak bird? You do have to do your part of the invasion since you've even offered to help and you have an army unlike me," he yelled while his eyes glow an even brighter red.
Just looking at his frightening face was enough to make Dedede feel like a pack of Scarfies were getting ready to devour him in Orange Ocean.
"I've already checked my Dedede Scouter and Bandanna Dee is already here with more reinforcements and even Kabula to help us out. Just please put me down and don't look at me like that again!" the king cried.
The demonic fighter scoffs and dropped the king back onto the ground before looking at the screen like the other Legion members.
"Why thank you fellow king, some reinforcements is just what we need to have this misshapen human's army stop annoying us. I am irritated of not making any progress after a while and I just want to get the next emerald for us already," said the sarcastic Satan.
"I guess we won't be needing to activate the warship's main weapons after all if what Dedede said was true. It's such a miracle since we will be needing to save that for future uses like being able to fight this Delphinus ship at full strength," Neff said before clamping his fists together.
"I wonder how Zeena and the others are responding to that woman's broadcast. I can already see her blowing a gasket since she has even more trouble to deal with," Zomom said while stroking his chin.
Zomom was right and wrong about that since she was more preoccupied with painting her nails while the others on the ship she was in responded negatively to the news. Trouble Bruin is grumbling with his arms crossed over his fully repaired body due to this happening after he just had to get his body fixed from last week's conflict. Mr. X is very displeased about having his name spread to the public since he would rather have his plans of world domination done behind the shadows. He smoked one of his trademark cigars vigorously to calm down since his new mechanical body makes him possible to do so without doing any damage to his nonexistent organs.
"I really hope we get to Outrun Bay soon since this woman had really exposed all of us before we even obtained our main objectives. To make matters worse, my right-hand man and a few other remaining Syndicate members had to turn against the Legion just because of one fat dumbass's mistake," he said after blowing some smoke.
Napoleon passed around the room nervously since Ulala had exposed his true identity, Leonard Bonar, to the entire public after he was rescued from the skies by the Legion.
"Now the Chevalier Diabolique will be mad at me for having us exposed thanks to that pink haired woman! I wouldn't be surprised if Phantom R is going to start going after us if he had seen this," he panicked.
"I'm afraid that I'll have to tell my army to stay alert since we will need them in case any of the heroic warriors will foil our precious plans," the Black Shogun said seriously.
"I just want to start war as soon as possible since I'm tired of staying out of a fight at a time like this!" Guan Yu shouts before stabbing his spear into the ground.
"Guan Yu, there's no need to take such drastic matters. I can tell that we will indeed face our enemies at Outrun Bay since they want the same thing we are after all. I've thought of the perfect plan for us to do if all else fails, but we'll have the commanders give us their input on the situation," said the cross armed Greedy before the glanced at his superiors.
Both Ramirez and Selvaria stood before their crew in an "about face" manner with the most serious faces possible. They may have been shocked about today's news, but they new that this shouldn't be too much to worry about since they may see the ones that had opposed them in the past soon. Ramirez had seeing Vyse in his mind since he knows that he may be out there looking for him after seeing Ulala's urgent news. Selvaria however was wondering if she might see Mr. Gunther and his wife again despite their retirement from the Gallian army since the urgent news may make the two get back into action.
"Fellow Legion of Subspace members, there's no need to panic for which we already have the upper hand for now despite not having more than one Chaos Emerald. The fact that our new allies that help us engulf more than thirty places with subspace means that we are close to taking over this planet and have done everything for The Dark One. If the heroes want to get in our way as we head for the last few destinations of the remaining emeralds, then we will crush them on sight with our already powerful army and alliance," Ramirez declared before pointing his blade forward.
Several of the villains had clapped in response along with newcomers like General Marcus, Zeena, and Gruntilda.
"And we are closer to victory if we manage to retrieve the next emerald with no problem while the other groups help out in some way. We will get the emerald from Outrun Bay, Mishalea's group will get the emerald from the Curien Mansion, and the Silver Armlet's group will make sure to take out any heroes that try to get in our way. If there's anything that Maximilian had taught me, it is to show no one any mercy and declare war on anyone that gets in the way of our goals!" Selvaria exclaimed.
The Legion members in the room cheered even louder in response to the general's words leaving Trouble Bruin scoffing at their obvious piggybacking in front of him.
"So how are we going to distract the heroes soon as we get there?" Napoleon asked.
This is where the galactic Kaiser himself would uncross him arms and teleport in front of his commanding officers. Greedy had opened his blue cape to reveal his lanky yet powerful body that a conqueror like him would have.
"There is a creature that we have hidden in the deepest bowels of our ship and I had recently warped her here with the help of Balder and Mishaela since we've discussed this issue beforehand. She will be the key to become the biggest distraction that will require a vast amount of heroes to take down since her competition is nowhere to be found in the deepest of seas," he said in a sinister manner.
Just hearing about the creature that Greedy had mentioned was enough to pique the witch's interest.
"This creature that you speak of, is it really a she? How she is important to our group, I really want to see," asked the puzzled Grunty.
"To answer your question, I will just say this: she had the goal of ruling the entire planet with the help of her own drones and by attacking the local sea life. She had been defeated and killed by a special dolphin known as Ecco for the second time when she attempted to take over Earth through time travel. She is a massive and intelligent being that was said to be the ancestor of today's arthropods after her final defeat. I had a special device that allows me to translate any alien's dialogue, which explains how I know of her existence and goals. It was a good thing that me and Mishaela were able to discover her fossilized corpse and return the monstrous queen to her original glory," said the space Kaiser.
Many of the members in the room had be left in awe after being told about the Vortex Queen's origin and why she would be perfect for their planned invasion of Outrun Bay. Something else unexpected happened in the form of the screen behind Selvaria and Ramirez turning on to reveal another hero communicating with the Legion of Subspace. This time it's someone much younger than General Winter and he had the appearance of a sky pirate complete with the eye patch. He had dark red hair, a scar below his right eye, and the cocky smile to match a young scallywag like him. Just hearing their fellow members gasp in surprise was enough to have both generals turning around to see their new foe. But this foe was already familiar enough to Ramirez, which cause him to groan and pose with his sword in a threatening manner. Selvaria cautiously watched her lover get serious and look at his nemesis since she finally got to see what he looked like.
"Hello black hearted bad guys, this is Captain Vyse speaking to let you all know that we had been stalling your friends for the last few days in order to keep them from making it to the Curien Mansion. I am well aware that you guys are heading to Outrun Bay thanks to the help of the lovely reporter Ulala and I'll be looking forward to see my old time foe again," he said overconfidently.
The silver haired Valuan commander grew angrier within seconds after hearing his foe's smart remark and he lowers his blade to look more professional before him.
"I knew that a Blue Rogue fool like you would show your face in any minute since I've joined the Legion. I'm been longing to see you for quite a long time and would gladly send you straight to Hell whenever we meet," Ramirez said coldly.
"Ah ah aaaaahhhhhh, there's no need to speak of such violence around your own crew just to threaten me. You even have a few women in there that could be disturbed by your words," the Blue Rogue causally said.
The Valkyrian woman had raised her rapier and points it at the screen to show Vyse that she is more than just a woman.
"Here me, Leader of the Blue Rogues and enemy of Legion of Subspace! I've heard that you were the one responsible for killing Ramirez in the past and I will be the one to make sure that it doesn't happen again with the help of my power. If I were you, I would never underestimate a woman as skilled and powerful as me," she said to Vyse's surprise.
He ironically held up a surrendering pose and snickered playfully in response to the Valkyrian commander's threat to him.
"Whoah there lady, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. Which are feelings I doubt Ramirez had at all, not that I really remembered. So tell me, are you his woman and what attractive qualities do you find in him?" he teasingly asked.
The silver haired woman grimaced harder due to the Blue Rogue's statement and knew that he's intentionally messing around with the both of them.
"That would be none of your business since there's no need for you to get in a lady's business," Zeena shouts before noticing how pretty his face was, "But I do admit that you look equally as cute as our fellow commander here."
Trouble Bruin shook his head in annoyance while his female superior glanced back at the green Zeti.
"Now is not the time to compliment our enemy, we need some answers from him now that he had decided to show himself," Selvaria remarked.
"I may not know about your relationship with him, but I do see a good reason why he may like you. You practically have the exact same voluptuous body type as Belleza with the militaristic attitude to match," Vyse said with a sly grin.
This statement had really offended the European commander, but she knew that she couldn't lose her cool like what happened back in Dragon Canyon. Ramirez had enough of what his enemy was saying as he stared down the screen with a look that Vyse could easily remember from the past.
"If you ever speak in that manner again, I shall cleave you in two! Not only you had insulted my second-in command, but you had the nerve to even mention the woman that killed the man I've respected! Instead of playing games with us, I would like you to tell me everything that you know since your ally had spied on us after all," he yelled with fire in his eyes.
Vyse had let out a huge sigh since he had expected him to get this angry after a few statements.
"You haven't changed quite a bit, even after coming back from the dead. You still obsess after a man that clearly wanted to bring the world into darkness for his own selfish desires. The fact that you still want to step into his footsteps instead of taking a different path like Fina would want really makes me consider you less of a man. That's just pretty sad coming from someone as emotionally instable as you and you're no better than anyone in the room with you," he said in a serious manner.
Before the Silvite man could say a word, his lover held out her right arm to keep him silent. One of the main things she hated to experience was to see him angry like that.
"You heard what Ramirez had said, tell us everyone that you know personally so that we may be even. Especially the ones that are aboard your beloved ship," she demanded.
Vyse is now in a serious mood to make this conversation quick since he had more important tasks at hand to take care of.
"Alright, I tell you everyone who I'm working with in our plans to go against the Legion. And believe me, I will only tell you people who I actually came in contact with so Sonic is completely out of the question. The following people I'm with are the following: Aika, Shou, Tillis, Latisha, Pudding, Ulala, Gum, General Winter, Phantom R, Vectorman, Arle Nadja, Max, Welkin Gunther, Sakurai Shinguji, and Centurion. These are all the people who are on my side and cruise the Delphinus since I've left the rest of my crew at home so they could stay safe. That's all that needs to be said I hope that you all had heard me loud and clear," he explained.
Ramirez stood silently now that he heard everything he needed to know and looked at Selvaria for the way she stood up for him.
Thanks for sticking up for me. Now you know what type of cretin Vyse really is.
"Vyse of the Blue Rogues, thank you for your time with us and giving us the information we need. Remember one thing, we will crush you on sight if you dare cross paths with us since the Legion shall prevail during this war. Whether you have more people helping you or not, we will be ready to meet you on the battlefield when time is right," she declared.
Napoleon slowly started to retreat towards his room after hearing that Phantom R was still on the run after him. Zeena had a bad feeling about this now that she knows what her group is up against despite their growing triumph over them.
Zor should have a field day about this with his group. That is, if someone is communicating with them as we speak.
She looked back at her commanders and Vyse seems to be off transmission for now, meaning that it's time to prepare for the biggest missions that the Legion had left. The situation where Zor is was no better since half of everyone is in severe panicked about their identities being exposed by Ulala. Both the Black Baron and Rokkaku were still arguing with each other as always since they were on the verge of blaming whoever didn't have their henchmen patrol the ships for security reasons. Psycrow was already going nuts since he didn't want to be known on a planet as "obscure" as Earth and he barely did anything bad yet. Lan Di held his head in his own two hands since the whole world is finally away of his whereabouts after years of hiding. The Chinese businessman looks up to see Silver Armlet emitting a scary amount of blue aura, which is a obvious since that the mysterious wizard didn't want the bearer of the Golden Armlet to be aware of his existence.
"This is what I hate about being part of a massive team to take over the world, there is always some cave rat that is out there to expose your identity to the public. Now if I knew where she lives and eats, I would gladly hunt her down and kill her!" he yells.
"I should be the one getting mad instead of you since you never really had your real name and face revealed unlike me. Ryo would be overjoyed to find us now to put an end to my pl….. I mean our plan," Lan Di said.
Turbo had loomed above the man's body and snarled with his fanged mouth and elongated neck in response to his last statement.
"Instead of being concerned for yourself you should at least think about others, Di! Now the whole world knows that I had escaped from my own game and into the real world thanks to that big mouthed girl. To make matters worse, my Cybugs have been killed off by another spy!" he yelled.
The KapuKapu leader still ran around in circles will making shrill hisses and shrieks now that he is now in the public attention of Earth' inhabitants. Both Onishima and Hiyahsi were still arguing as usual, but this was more along the lines of who contributed the less during this entire invasion. Zor was over trying to think on Mathilda's lap about what to do net while trying to stay clam from the chaos.
"I had enough of this lame situation. I'm going to knock everyone down a peg, see ya later," he said to the scantly clad woman.
She giggled in response and did want to congratulate the vampires Elise on her recent kidnappings for the Legion of Subspace anyways. The blue haired Zeti had enough of everyone's whining and leaped away from Mathilda to get even closer to the commotion.
"Everyone, stop it with your complaining and think about what other things we have to worry about! If anything, the only one who deserves to complain about anything while I'm around is me!" he shouts.
Everyone had stopped and paid attention to the easily annoyed Zeti that breathed heavily in exhaustion with his rose touching the floor. Reala had entered the scene while greeting everyone with a slow clap and his usual evil grin. The Nightmaren had some special things to say to his fellow members for now since things were going to plan despite the tragic news.
"You guys should listen to Zor after all, because there's nothing worth getting mad about a simple news brief. We do have one Chaos Emerald for now, the Legion had captured plenty of areas with the subspace, someone had been sent to capture Sonic with no fail, and we have something special planned to get the rest of the emeralds from the heroes. In other words, there's absolutely nothing to worry about and what Elise had done a few days ago had given me a great idea. I have a about a few of my siblings left at my disposal and I had sent the strongest ones to be the guardians for the last few emeralds so that my Goodles could snag them at any moment. Not to mention Bowser did say that we could have a bargain with the prisoners we have to get all seven Chaos Emeralds soon," he said in a discrete manner.
This was enough to make everyone calm down and warp their heads around Reala's speech.
"If the other guys will be after the last few Chaos Emeralds, then what's the point of us even being out? Maintenance on the heroes before they even dare go after our partners?" Hiyashi asked.
Reala did his trademark laugh in response to the white haired police commander's question to express his obvious amusement.
"Of course, we already know that Shadow and Sonic has their own group wondering around as we speak, though we shouldn't worry about the later since the assassin will take him out and capture him for us. Zor did tell us that Amy Rose's own group is wondering around as we speak and I have one of my Goodles keeping a close eye on them. He did tell me that they are getting closer to a factory as we speak, but we don't know why since there is no Chaos Emerald there at all. But it will be none of our concern as long as they are distracted from something the other heroes are focusing on," he said while getting into a thinking pose.
"So I guess there's this Ulala woman on the loose that we have to look for since she's the one that had been spying on us and spread the news to the public. But the real question is where she would be if they aren't going after that rotten hedgehog?" Turbo said with his clawed hands together.
"This is one of the main problems of having a damn cavalry. Once they do most of the worst for us playas, we ain't got shit to do and we're just being novelty for now. What I'd really like to do is find some people and give them the taste of the Deathwatch, you know what I'm sayin'?" said the Baron after fixing his pimp hat.
Before Reala could answer his question, the main screen in the Meeting Room turns on to reveal just the person they needed to speak with: Eggman. The mustachioed doctor is surprisingly calm, but not too angry, mostly since his identity was revealed to the public by the Station Square News a while ago thanks to Sonic. He did look like the type of person who would inform them about today's news and what actions were needed to be done soon.
"Reala! Fellow Legion members! I've been aware that your identities had been revealed by that blasted space reporter, but all is not lost yet. If there's one thing to look forward to, it's the defeat of Sonic and I've sent the right guys to take care of the job for me. Based on some personal messages from some other groups, it appears that we have more pests on our hands that want to get in the way of our quest for the remaining emeralds. Among one of them is the leader of the Blue Rogues with his airship the Delphinus," said the wily scientist.
"Blue Rogues…. Delphinus….. you mean the ringleader behind that Squilla facade was…"
"Yes Reala, Vyse is the one pulling the strings and he won't back down without making sure that our brilliant warships go down like weakened fighter jets. But he thought wrong since he's too afraid to actually confront us with his smaller ship. If there's anything you guys need to learn from me, it's to never take anything serious unless that individual really wants to confront you in person," Eggman said before slamming his fist on the shelf.
A similar scientist appeared next to him on the screen to say something to the impatient group that awaits a real mission.
"If you guys want something to do, then I highly suggest that you guys wait until we have some special orders for you since you all are fitting as back up in case anything goes wrong," said Dr. Wily.
"But there's literally nothing to do since there's and uneven amount of Chaos Emeralds for us to go after. At this point, I'm just going to regret joining the likes of this pathetic group in the first place. Wasting my time going around worlds for these damn gems and to serve some imaginary being we don't know exist," said the annoyed Lan Di.
"Who are you to even dare question my authority or even our goals! The Dark One is a real being and it wouldn't reveal itself until we had successfully reclaimed more areas for it and show that we had regained all seven emeralds. If you even have the patience to wait even longer, then we will actually have the upper hand over the heroes," said the doctor.
"I don't give a damn anymore, this whole wild goose chase is all for nothing and how the hell can I keep going if my real name had be revealed to the public," the Chinese man remarked.
"If you actually slow down and listen, then we'll eventually get to do what we have to do. If anything, you are even worse than me and I actually like to make everyone else miserable," Zor said.
Lan Di had enough with people trashing his opinion and just had enough with being around the Legion of Subspace in general. He turned towards the blue haired Zeti in anger and knocks him out with a quick strike to everyone's shock. Eggman even dropped his jaw after what happened before his eyes with Wily jumping from that sudden outburst.
"Lan Di, what are you even doing?" the doctor asked in a mix of surprise and anger.
Reala glared at the arrogant human for his ridiculous outrage, especially since he would want no one to get out of order when he's around.
"I don't know what the hell you are doing, but you really need to keep yourself in check!" the Nightmaren warned.
Zor struggles to get up while Onishima and Hiyashi tired to help him up. The Chinese man looked at his nightmarish superior with a face of a heartless crime lord and with his thick brows arched to complete that look.
"You know what, I don't even care. If anything, I had been losing most of my men since this whole thing seems to be a waste of time, the fact that I only have a small amount of men left is enough for me to reconsider joining this damn group. You guys can do well without me, a fine member of the Chi You Men, while I will return back to my original base where I'll hide out for a while," Lan Di said coldly.
The egg shaped scientist had enough of the Chinese man's words and felt the same dark feeling he had since the Space Colony Ark incident.
"Listen to me and listen to me good, Lan Di. You need to realize that there are many sacrifices that are to be made and it will be worth it considering how far we have gotten. If you ditch us here while we are so close, you will be nothing more than a coward that never cared for achieving a goal better than killing someone's father. You are nothing but a weak and powerless man that only cared about protection instead of taking matters into your own hands," Eggman said with such hatred.
Elise got done talking with her dominatrix partner and the two grew curious about what was going on the other side with their fellow Legion members. Mathilda noticed what happened to her favorite demon and pulled out her spiked bat with the most aggressive face ever.
"You are going to be reduced to a pile of guts when I get through with you, traitor!" she shouts.
She dashed at him with a look of anger and bloodlust as she tries to avenge Zor's defeat.
Land Di scoffs and got into him infamous Tiger Swallow Style pose before the pimp's ho could deal the first attack.
"I'll make this quick so that I can get out of here," he said.
He dodged her first swing and aimed for her belly, in which she intercepts with a knee to his gut. He gasped for air from the force of his lungs being dealt with such a blow, which gave Psycrow the opportunity to finish him off. This space bounty hunter had enough of this man's rash behavior and attempted to do what he had always wanted to do to Earthworm Jim.
"Now to put you out of your miserable misery like a real bounty hunter. Anyone that dares quit the Legion must be put to justice," said the psychotic crow before his shots were fired.
The fast laser blasts had severely burned Land Di's back and Mathilda used this opportunity to start bludgeoning the defenseless man to death like she usually does to her victims. The fearsome seventy-one year old member of the Chi You Men is now screaming loudly as he is dealt one of the most cruelest ways of punishment. Wily was the first one to break into psychotic laughter at this scene since Karma is one way to deal with unfaithful Legion members like him. Psycrow had unsurprisingly joined in since this was his first time that he had officially killed someone on his job.
"I did it, I finally killed someone for once. Now Queen Slug-for-a-Butt will be proud of me and Earthworm Jim will really have to watch himself once I finally meet him," he said before breaking into his victory dance.
The Black Baron was amused by this and clapped to celebrate the first time in a while his baby had murdered someone that wasn't him in a while.
