Some of the group was in Hershel's cell, patiently waiting near him. Suddenly, they saw his lips fluttering a little, as if he was trying to talk.

"Daddy...?" Maggie asked, crouching next to him with wide eyes.

The group looked close, some of them having looks of shock as they saw Hershel's eyes slowly open.

"Is he alive...?" Evonne asked, wide eyed.

"Oh my god..." Anne muttered with shock.

Hershel's eyes were now fully open, and he smiled at the group.

He wasn't dead... Surprisingly...

"Daddy!" Beth exclaimed, happily.

Rick unlocked a handcuff that kept Hershel's hand locked on the bed in case he turned.

Hershel lifted up his hand, towards Rick. Rick grabbed it, seeing Hershel was grateful for him saving his life...

==A Couple of Days Later==

Deep inside of the prison there was two walkers skulking around a prisoner yard, outside. The walkers growled as someone threw a rock at the back of one of their heads.

The walkers turned, seeing a dead deer carcass laying on the concrete. They went to it, and started eating as much at they could. They looked to their left, seeing a door that led inside, and another part of the deer hanging by a rope for them.

The walkers went to gorge on the carcass, unaware that a person snuck through the yard and cut open a locked fence door that led to the front yard of the prison. The person put a chunk of a deer heart on the ground, then running off after he opened the door as wide open as he could.

The person's intention was simple...

Bait...

Ambush...

Kill...

Ulrich and Christa sat in the common room with the rest of the group. Clementine had a shocked look as she stared at Christa.

"You're alive..." Clementine said, wide eyed with disbelief.

"Yeah..." Christa confirmed, smirking.

Yumi was still suffocating Ulrich in a hug, even though it's been nearly a full day since they reunited.

If she had it her way, she wouldn't ever let go of him...

"How in the hell did you survive?! We thought you were dead!" Miranda stated.

"I got through them, somehow... I walked for days, and then I fell on the road. Christa saved me, and brought me to Woodbury." Ulrich explained.

"Woodbury?" Chris asked.

"It's a long story... So, we ended up leaving the town because their leader was... well, he was a straight up fucking nutjob. We walked for a while and ended up here. Well, not before Yumi nearly blew her boyfriend's brains all over a tree..." Christa said.

Yumi glared at Christa, seeing her smirk as she tightened her hold on Ulrich.

"I'm... I'm happy you're alive, Christa." Clementine said, smiling.

Christa smiled back, softly.

Some of the others were outside, helping to move the group's cars inside. Anne slowly drove a pickup trick into the yard with Dylan in the passenger seat, smirking at her.

"You sure you can drive...?" Dylan asked.

"You don't know how to drive either..." Anne shot back.

"Eh, you'd be surprised..." Dylan muttered.

As Anne slowly drove the truck into the yard, Carol parked another pickup on the grass. Rick was coordinating the effort.

"Okay, let's get the other car in. We'll park 'em in the west entry of the yard." Rick said.

"Good. Our vehicles camped out there look like a giant 'vacancy' sign." Daryl stated.

The group walked to Rick and Daryl, following them up the prison's makeshift road.

"After that, we need to load up these corpses so we can burn 'em." Rick said.

"This is gonna be a long day..." Luke stated.

Aelita looked around.

"Where's Nick and Emily? We could really use the help..." Aelita stated.

Anne and Dylan got out of their truck and walked to the group, seeing Chelsea pointing up at a nearby guard tower.

"Up in the guard tower." Chelsea said.

Everyone looked at the guard tower, curiously.

"Guard tower? They were just up there last night." Rick said.

"NICK! EM!" Daryl shouted, trying to get their attention.

After a few seconds they saw Nick step out of the tower and onto it's balcony, shirtless, and buckling his pants as he looked at the group below.

"H- Hey, guys!" Nick said, flustered.

The group struggled not to laugh.

"You coming?" Daryl asked.

Nick deeply blushed as he went wide eyed.

"W- What?" Nick asked, thinking Daryl meant something else...

The group quietly snickered, seeing Emily step out with a bra on but no shirt, and a messy hairdo.

"You comin'?" Daryl asked.

Nick figured out what Daryl meant as Emily rolled her eyes.

"Come on, we could use a hand." Daryl said.

"Yeah! W- We'll be right down." Nick said.

Nick and Emily walked back inside of the tower.

"So gross..." Emily muttered with disgust.

The group meanwhile was still snickering to themselves. They started walking back towards the gate, but Rebecca stayed where she was.

"Hey, Rick!" Rebecca said.

The group turned to see Rebecca pointing at the prison. The group's smiles fell as they saw Axel and Oscar looking at them from the fences.

Rick had a frown as he started walking towards them.

"Come with me." Rick said.

The group nodded and started following Rick. They saw the prisoners over by the second gate, walking towards them as they approached.

"That's far enough, guys." Chase said.

"We had an agreement..." Rick stated, frowning.

"Please, mister. We know that." Axel said.

The group saw Emily and Nick walk out from the tower, which ended up with them standing behind the prisoners.

"We made a deal. But you gotta understand... We can't live in that place another minute. You follow me? All the bodies... people we knew... Blood, brains everywhere... There's ghosts." Axel pleaded.

"Why don't you move the bodies out?" Aelita asked.

"Yeah, you should be burning them, right?" Jeremie asked.

"We tried. We did..." Axel replied.

"The fence is down on the far side of the prison. Every time we drag a body out, those things just line up. Dropping the body and just running back inside." Oscar said.

Axel approached Rick, and stopped in front of him.

"Look, we had nothing to do with Tomas and Andrew. Nothing. You trying to prove a point? You proved it, bro! We'll do whatever it takes to be a part of your group. Just please, please... don't make us live in that place." Axel pleaded.

"Our deal is nonnegotiable. You either live in your cell block, or you leave." Rick said, firmly.

Axel sighed with disappointment as Oscar looked at him.

"I told you this was a waste of time." Oscar said.

Oscar turned to look at Rick.

"They ain't no different than the pricks who shot up our boys." Oscar said.

Jeremie and Aelita looked at each other, and then back at Oscar.

"You know how many friends' corpses we had to drag out this week? Just threw 'em out, like... Humph... These were good guys! Good guys who had our backs against the really bad dudes in this joint, like Tomas and Andrew." Oscar said.

Nick crossed his arms.

"We've all made mistakes to get in here, chief. And I'm not gonna pretend to be a saint, but believe me... we've paid our due. Enough that we would rather hit that road than to go back into that shithole." Oscar finished.

Rick still had a frown on his face, but it was more out of thought than anger. He turned to look back at Daryl and Dylan, seeing them both shaking their heads with denial. Rick looked back at the prisoners...

==Five Minutes Later==

Daryl locked the gate after the prisoners were forced to walk to the other side of it, separating them from the group.

"C'mon dude..." Axel said.

Daryl walked back to the group without replying to Axel. Daryl approached the group to hear they were talking.

"-Are you serious? You want them living in a cell next to you? They'll just be waiting for a chance to grab our weapons. You wanna go back to sleeping with one eye open?" Rick asked, looking at T-Dog.

"I never stopped..." T-Dog replied, bluntly.

"Yeah, let them come in. If we send them out of here then we might as well execute them ourselves." Aelita said.

"I don't know... Axel's pretty weird, in my opinion." Chase replied.

"After all we've been through? We fought so hard for all this, what if they decide to take it?" Carol asked.

"It's just been us for so long... They're strangers, I don't... I- It feels weird all of a sudden having new people around." Maggie said.

"Well, you brought us in." Jeremie stated.

Maggie nodded.

"Yeah, but you turned up with two shot girls. Didn't give us much of a choice." Maggie said.

"They can't even kill walkers." Glenn added.

"They're convicts. That's the bottom line." Emily said.

"Those two might actually have less blood on their hands than any of us." Nick stated.

Daryl shook his head.

"I get guys like this. Hell, I grew up with them. They're degenerates, but they ain't psychos. I could've been in here with them just as easy as I'm out here with you guys." Daryl stated.

T-Dog and Nick nodded.

"So are you with us?" T-Dog asked.

"Hell no. Let 'em take their chances out on the road just like we did." Daryl said.

"What we're saying, Daryl, is-" Nick said.

Rick looked at Nick and started to interrupt him.

"When I was a rookie, I arrested this kid. Nineteen years old, wanted for stabbing his girlfriend. The kid blubbered like a baby during the interrogation, during the trial... suckered the jury. He was acquitted due to insufficient evidence, and then two weeks later... shot another girl. We've been through too much." Rick said.

Nick sighed, looking down.

"Our deal with them stands." Rick said.

Nick and T-Dog leaned against the overturned bus, blank-faced as they watched the rest of the group walk away to continue moving the vehicles...

Jennifer sputtered her lips as she held James in her arms, looking down at the small child.

He had his father's eyes. That always made Jennifer smile.

Jennifer smiled as she saw Tess walking towards her.

"Hey, Jen." Tess greeted.

Tess sat down with Jennifer, smiling as she looked at the small baby.

"He's adorable..." Tess said.

"Thanks... Best thing I ever did..." Jennifer said, smiling with pride.

"Yeah..." Tess replied.

Jennifer smiled, looking at Tess's baby belly.

"How long until you think you'll be due?" Jennifer asked.

"Maybe in four or five months, or so... I'm not really sure. Hell, I don't even know how much time has past since..." Tess replied, trailing off.

Jennifer nodded, smiling as she held out James.

"Wanna hold him?" Jennifer asked.

Tess smiled, nodding as she gently took James.

The older girl smiled, looking at the small baby in her arms.

"He's so freaking adorable, Jen...!" Tess exclaimed, giggling.

"I know!" Jennifer replied, smirking.

Jennifer smirked, watching Tess holding James, with a smile...

Rick was walking with his group.

"Move the cars to the upper yard. Point 'em facing out." Rick said.

Rick tossed a pair of keys to Glenn. Glenn caught them and started running towards the main gate to get the last car inside.

"They'll be out of the way but ready to go if we ever need to bail." Rick said.

Rick looked at T-Dog and Nick.

"We'll give the prisoners a week's worth of supplies for the road." Rick said.

"It probably won't last a week." Nick stated.

"It's their choice..." Rick replied.

"Did they really have one?" T-Dog asked, frowning.

Rick stopped T-Dog and Nick, sternly.

"Hey, hey... Whose blood would you rather have on your hands? Maggie's, Glenn's, or theirs?" Rick asked, bluntly.

T-Dog shrugged.

"Neither..." T-Dog replied.

Rick had a doubtful look, seeing Nick and T-Dog walking away as Glenn drove his car through the gate.

Anne noticed Daryl get on his motorcycle, starting it up in view of the prisoners.

"Twin-cylinder. Is that a Triumph?" Axel asked, referring to the bike.

Daryl frowned at Axel before looking back at his bike.

"Don't even look at it..." Daryl warned.

"Didn't wanna bore it out?" Axel asked.

Daryl turned on the engine of his bike, making Axel look at him.

"Sounds like it could use a tune-up. I'm pretty handy with a wrench!" Axel said, hoping that offering to fix Daryl's bike would let him stay with them.

Daryl started riding away, not answering.

"Heads are leaking. I know my bikes!" Axel exclaimed, desperately.

Daryl kept driving without an answer. Oscar crossed his arms, looking at Axel with a disappointed look.

"Man, will you just stop? Have some balls..." Oscar said.

"Just saying..." Axel replied, shrugging.

Oscar and Axel watched Glenn close the main gate, and then run off to join the group.

Patrick, Beth, Carlos, Christa, and Lori were all walking towards Hershel's cell, seeing Carl cleaning his pistol as he sat on the flight of stairs.

Carl looked up to see Lori carrying a pair of crutches, and seeing the group walk into Hershel's cell, AND seeing Beth smiling casually at him.

Patrick and Christa smirked, knowing Carl had a crush on the girl.

"Alright..." Carl said to himself.

Carl got up and walked into the cell with the group, seeing Hershel trying to get out of bed. He saw Christa smile at Hershel.

"Just take your time, Hershel..." Christa said.

Beth gently put her hands on Hershel, with worry.

"Daddy, don't push yourself..." Beth said.

Hershel chuckled.

"What else am I going to do?" Hershel asked.

Hershel finally stood up, grabbing the handles on the crutches.

"I can't stand looking up at the bottom of that bunk any longer-" Hershel said.

Hershel stopped talking because he nearly fell over. He was quickly grabbed by Carlos, Lori, and Beth, making sure he was settled.

Hershel tapped one of his crutches on the ground, smiling. He then slowly hobbled a few steps before stopping and looking at Lori.

"You know... I think I'm pretty steady." Hershel said.

Hershel started slowly hobbling again. Carlos kept a firm hand on his shoulder, watching his progress.

"You're doing excellent... Do you need a rest?" Carlos asked.

Hershel chuckled, shaking his head as he looked at Carlos.

"'Rest'? Heh... Let's go for a little stroll..." Hershel said.

By the front gate, Aelita locked a chain-link door after she and Chase gave the prisoners a box of food and water. They looked at the prisoners, seeing Axel holding the box.

"There should be enough food in there to last you two for a week... We'll cut you guys loose once we get back." Chase said.

Chase and Aelita started walking away.

"Thank you, bro..." Axel said.

The siblings did a double-take, looking back at the prisoners.

"Just sit tight..." Aelita said.

Axel nodded as Chase and Aelita walked away. He turned to look at Oscar, seeing him with a frown of disbelief.

"'Thank you, bro'?" Oscar asked, bluntly.

Rick, Daryl, Glenn, and Chris climbed out of a hole they made in the outer fence, ages ago. They were looking for wood they could use to cremate the bodies of several walkers. Glenn noticed a distant walker and aimed his pistol at it.

"Should I take her out?" Glenn asked.

"No... If that armory hadn't been picked clean, we could spare the ammo..." Rick said.

"I can start making runs." Chris offered.

"Me too. The sooner the better." Daryl said.

Rick nodded as they started walking along the outside of the fence.

"We'll throw as much wood as we can in the dog run." Rick said, referring to the pit they use to burn the corpses.

"Won't the fire attract more walkers?" Glenn asked.

"Yeah... Maybe we could bury them?" Chris asked.

"We're behind the fence... It's worth the one-time risk to get rid of the bodies for good. I don't wanna be planting crops in walker-rotted soil." Rick said, sternly.

Glenn and Chris both nodded in agreement.

The group slowly led Hershel out of the entrance to C-Block, noticing several of the others moving the cars inside of the fences. Pete and Evonne approached them as Hershel looked around, while they started walking across a small outdoor basketball court.

"You cleared all those bodies out?" Hershel asked.

"Yeah, we did..." Evonne said.

Hershel smiled.

"It's starting to look like a place we can really live in..." Hershel said.

"Hey, watch your step. Last thing we need is you falling..." Lori said.

Hershel nodded.

Glenn, Rick, Daryl, and Chris climbed through the fence hole, holding armfuls of wooden logs. Daryl looked in the direction of the prison, seeing Hershel on his crutches.

"Looky here..." Daryl said.

Glenn, Chris, and Rick all looked at the prison. Glenn chuckled and dropped his logs when he saw Hershel hobbling on his crutches.

"He is one tough son of a bitch..." Glenn said, referring to Hershel.

Rick and Chris walked towards the inner fence as Glenn kept watching, lifting his hand to his face to shout:

"ALRIGHT, HERSHEL!" Glenn cheered.

"Shh! Keep your cheers down..." Daryl warned.

Glenn saw Daryl point at a group of walkers that weren't very far from the outer fence. Glenn's face fell.

"Oh man, can't we just have one good day...?" Glenn asked himself.

Hershel kept hobbling through the basketball court. Beth smiled at him.

"You're doing great, daddy..." Beth said.

Carl looked at Hershel, smiling.

"Ready to race, Hershel?" Carl joked.

"Give me another day... I'll take you on." Hershel joked back.

Carl chuckled at the reply he got.

The group looked at the fences, seeing Rick, Glenn, Daryl, and Chris looking at them through it. They then noticed that everyone else was looking at Hershel, smiling and chuckling at the sight of him back on his feet.

Suddenly, Carl and Carlos heard a distant noise...

*Growls*...

Carl and Carlos turned, going wide eyed as they saw several walkers coming out of the interior prisoner yard. They got out their pistols, shouting:

"WALKERS! LOOK OUT!"

The group turned, gasping and going wide eyed as they saw the walkers coming towards them...
