Daughter of the Deadman II
Hey, all. I'm back with another chapter. It's sort of filler, but sort of not I guess. I hope you guys like it anyway. Gotta send at thank you to Randy's Viper Girl for helping me out with this chapter. You're great girl!
Thanks also to: blackbear1020, deadmanwalking55, Cena's baby doll, kakashishot, tomwilliams1990, and CrossOverFan97 for their reviews.
blackbear1020: thanks so much! glad you like it.
deadmanwalking55: hmmmm...I might just have to consider that 3 on 1 match somewhere down the line. Thanks for the review.
Also, thanks for not minding me turning Cena in to a jackass. It's not that I hate him, it's just that whole Superman like thing that he's got going on...well, he's been doing it for about 8 of his ten years or so maybe less and it is totally getting old. I do love all the charity work and stuff though :)
Alrighty, see you all at the bottom.
Chapter 37: The Detective Work Begins
It was only two days away from Survivor Series and Angel and Kristy were both having a difficult time. Ever since John had cut that promo two weeks ago, everyone seemed to hate the two girls except for the people that knew them best and the fans. For the first time, Kristy wanted to be home rather then on the road and Angel wished she wasn't Women's Champion. Angel sighed as she changed into her ring gear. She had a match against AJ Lee that night and Kristy had a match against the Number One Contender for the Women's Title, Kaitlyn. Neither one was really looking forward to having to wrestle that night. Davey and Taker noticed the change in their girls and they didn't like it.
Even the rest of the Harts, Kane and Randy wanted to get their hands on John. All of them knew that Kristy was not someone who "went after every guy who so much as smiles at her" as he had said and they knew that while there had probably been a time when Angel had felt bad for herself and wrestled to keep those feelings a bay, that was no longer the case. She knew that the things that had happened weren't her fault and she didn't deserve them and therefore didn't need to feel that way anymore.
About the only thing that had gone right was that Kristy and Angel had started to take a closer look at their friend Alex's death and, after reading the newspaper articles and refreshing their memories, discovered that the police had checked Jason out at the time and hadn't found anything to tie him to what had happened. Kristy sat cross legged on the couch, pouring over some of the papers that she and Angel had found over the last two weeks.
"Krissy, there's nothing in there that we didn't know already. The only thing we did find out was that Jason was a suspect at first but there was no evidence." Angel said.
"Ang, I need you to think. Do you ever remember seeing a gun in the house?" Kristy said.
"No. If there had been a gun in that house...he would have used it too." Angel said.
"Are you sure?" Kristy asked.
"Girl, I spent sixteen years in that damn house. I would have known if there was a gun there." Angel said.
"OK. OK." Kristy said.
"What about the car?" Taker asked.
"No luck. No one could get a license plate or a description of the car." Angel said.
"Well, we can't just give up. There's got to be something..." Kristy said.
"Well, last I heard, the house that Angel grew up in hasn't had anyone living in it since Jason was in jail. It's pretty much abandoned." Bret said.
"Then we need to go back there." Kristy said.
"But..." Angel said.
"Angel, just because you never saw a gun, doesn't mean there wasn't one. You know how Jason was. He was good at hiding things." Owen said.
"OK. But first thing's first, we need to get through tonight and Sunday. One thing at a time here." Angel said.
Kristy and the others nodded. Angel was right. They had to get through the show tonight and then Survivor Series on Sunday before they worried about anything else. Angel sighed and stood up. Kristy followed suit. The two girls left and headed for the catering area. Everyone stared at them as they went and when they walked in, Kel and Cher were there to greet them.
"Oh, great, what do you two want?" Angel asked.
"Chill out, Ang. They're not so tough without Jennifer." Kristy said.
"How does it feel to be a slut to your ex-boyfriend?" Kel asked.
"Shut your mouth, Kel." Kristy snapped.
"Oh, would you look at that, Cher? The slut has a back bone. I bet when one of the guys so much as looks at her, she'll go gaga over him." Kel said.
"Kel, put a cork in it." Angel snapped.
"Oh, look, Kel. The slut is about to cry." Cher said.
Angel looked at her friend. Sure enough, Kristy looked like she was ready to burst into tears at any moment. Angel growled under her breath. She rolled her eyes back into her head and flung Kel and Cher backwards. They crashed right through the table with all the drinks on it, shattering the glass and probably ruining their ring gear in the process.
"Not here you don't, Kristy." Angel said once she had relaxed.
She grabbed her best friend's hand and left the catering area. When they got back to the locker room, everyone seemed shocked to see them back so soon. As soon as Angel closed the door, Kristy burst into tears. Davey stood up and hugged his daughter.
"Kel and Cher got on her case. Ever since dumbass cut that damn promo about us two weeks ago we can't go anywhere in the arenas. Everyone stares at me with disgust on their faces and anyone that can will speak up and get on Kristy's case!" Angel said.
"I think we all need a vacation. The girls don't need this right now." David said.
"You're right, David, they don't need it. But I promise...before the end of this night, I will knock Cena off his pedestal." Taker growled.
"You mean you're going to help CM Punk, Daddy?" Angel asked.
"I'm not doing it to help Punk. I'm doing it because he insulted my family." Taker said.
"Is it bad that I'm hoping Punk wins the title Sunday?" Kristy whispered.
"No. I think we've all reached that point." David said.
"OK..." Kristy said.
"So, what are you going to do, Deadman?" Bret asked.
"Let's just say, I'm going to make Cena regret what he said." Taker said.
"Well, the only way that I know of that Daddy ever makes people regret what they say is to beat their butt." Angel said.
"I...uh...I'll be back. I need some air." Kristy said.
"Watch yourself out there, Krissy." Davey said.
"I'll be alright, Dad." Davey said.
She left the room. Everyone looked at Angel, who shrugged. They were all looking for her to tell them where Kristy would go since she did know Kristy best, but Angel had no idea.
"Where did she go? I know for the fact that she just lied to us. She hesitates when she lies." Taker said.
"I hope she's not going to find Cena." Angel said.
"If she is, it's about to get ugly." David said.
"I think I'd better go and find her." Angel said.
"Make it quick, baby girl. You've got a match tonight." Taker said.
Angel nodded. She left the locker room. She went looking all over the arena for Kristy and couldn't find her anywhere. Then she went around, checking the stairwells. Eventually, she arrived at a fire exit. Angel opened the door and as soon as she stepped inside, she could hear Kristy crying and talking to someone. She froze when she heard Kristy say the words "Aunt Beth". Now she wasn't sure what to do. She just stood there, listening.
"What are Ang and I going to do? Everyone hates us now because that idiot ran off at the mouth. I thought he cared about me! And I thought he thought of Angel as a kid sister. How do we fix this?" Kristy asked.
"Krissy, sweetheart, I know this is rough on the two of you. Especially on you because you have a past with John. You and Angel have to show him and everyone else that you're not what he says you are. I know you can do it because I know for a fact that you're not a slut. But if you keep letting him get to you like this, then he'll win." Beth said.
"I...don't want that. I don't want John to win, but this is hard. Ang seems to be handling it better then me. How?" Kristy said.
"Because Angel knows that John is wrong. Angel doesn't wrestle to distract herself from feeling bad about herself. Granted, that used to be the case, but not anymore. She finally understands that what happened to her wasn't her fault and she didn't deserve it." Beth said.
"So what am I supposed to do?" Kristy said.
"You just leave John to Mark. He's not happy about this." Beth said.
"Do you know what Uncle Taker is going to do?" Kristy asked.
"No. But I have a pretty good idea. Mark isn't going to let John get away with hurting you like this. No one is. I would help too...but I can't really. I do know that you've got people who are going to make this right." Beth said.
"You do help, Aunt Beth. I can talk to you when I don't want to burden everyone else." Kristy said.
"Kristy, you don't burden them. They care about you. But they can't help if you don't talk to them." Beth said.
"It's hard to talk to them. I feel like all I've done since everything changed is burden them." Kristy said.
"And just how did you come to that conclusion, Krissy?" Angel asked, walking up the stairwell.
"Ang! God, don't do that. How long have you been down there?" Kristy asked.
"Long enough." Angel said.
"She's been listening this whole time, Krissy." Beth said.
"You...heard all that?" Kristy said.
"Yeah, I did." Angel said.
"Are you mad?" Kristy asked.
"No. I'm not. You feel how you feel." Angel said.
"I know I should tell you guys, but it's hard because...well, I don't know." Kristy said.
"Hey, you don't have to explain yourself to me, Kristy. But if you're scared we'll yell at you for telling us how you feel, don't be." Angel said.
"Are you sure?" Kristy said.
"I'm positive." Angel said.
"Do you have any idea what your Dad is going to do to John?" Kristy asked.
"Like I said earlier, the only way Daddy can make someone regret what they say is to beat their ass. It's the only way he knows how." Angel said.
"I can live with that." Kristy said with a slight smile.
"Good." Angel said.
"Now, don't you two have matches to compete in tonight?" Beth said.
"OK, Mom. We're going." Angel said with a laugh.
Kristy stood up and gave Beth a hug. Then she and Angel left the stairwell and headed back to the locker room. Angel had just enough time to explain what had happened before she had to get going for her match with AJ. She put on her overcoat and put her hood up. Then she took off her jewelry and handed it to Taker. She got her usual good luck kiss from Lea and left. As she headed to the curtain, she saw that AJ was already in the ring.
Ever since AJ had lost the job of General Manager of Raw thanks to Vickie Guerrero, she had become increasingly more unstable. Angel wasn't looking forward to this. Out in the arena, the lights went out and a bell tolled. Angel sighed and began her walk to the ring. As soon as the fans saw her, they screamed. Angel smiled to herself. She walked to the ring and went up the steel steps. She raised her arms in the air, bringing the light back up. She stepped in the ring, but before she could remove her hood or her overcoat, AJ jumped her.
"Oh, my God!" Kristy said.
"I'm telling you, that girl has lost it." David said.
"She's completely loco." Owen said.
"All I can say is that Angel's not going to take kindly to being jumped." Taker said.
"How do you know that?" Bret said.
"She's like him in more ways then you all think." Kane said.
"You don't have to convince me. I could have told him that." Kristy said.
"AN FIGHT! UP! NOW!" Wyatt yelled at the monitor, waving his little fists.
"ANGEL! GET UP!" Lea yelled.
Everyone watched as AJ got Angel down on her back. Then she leaned over to taunt her. Angel reached up and grabbed AJ by the throat. AJ struggled to get loose. The official took the opportunity to separate the two. Angel took her coat and belt off. She threw the coat from the ring and handed her belt to the referee. The bell rang and AJ ran at Angel tackling her to the ground and punching her.
"Ow." Nattie said.
"YOU HURT AN!" Wyatt yelled.
"It's OK, Little Man." Taker said.
"AN HURT! MEAN GIRL!" Wyatt yelled.
"Wyatt, don't worry. Angel's OK." Bret said.
"He doesn't understand." Kristy reminded them.
"He thinks AJ really has hurt her." David said.
"Hey, buddy, listen to Daddy, OK? Aunt Angel isn't hurt. The mean girl on TV isn't strong enough to hurt your Aunt Angel. She's just crazy." Adam said.
Wyatt nodded. They watched. AJ was still going to town on Angel, punching and kicking her. Finally, Angel had enough. She pushed AJ off and sat up. She got to her feet. She seemed to be alright. AJ stood up too and tried to attack Angel again, but this time she was ready for it. Angel caught AJ by the throat and chokes slammed her. She went for a cover, but AJ kicked out. Angel stood up and did the Rest in Peace sign. She picked AJ up and then flipped her upside down and delivered the Tombstone Piledriver. She folded AJ's arms across her chest and earned the three count.
The referee handed Angel her belt and Angel got down to one knee and raised her title the air. Wyatt was now clapping and cheering and so was Lea. Everyone else was laughing at them. A few minutes later, Angel came back to the locker room. Wyatt crawled over and reached his arms up. Angel picked him up.
"You made quick work of AJ, Little Angel." Kane said.
"Yeah. After she stopped trying to pummel me to death." Angel said.
"At worried, Angel. He think AJ hurting you." Lea said.
"Awe, she didn't hurt me, Little Man. She's too nuts to hurt anyone." Angel said.
"Nuts? Try crazy. She's lost it completely." David said.
"Like she ever had it." Angel and Kristy said in stereo.
"An really tay?" Wyatt asked.
"Don't you worry. I'm just fine." Angel said.
"Good. I not like mean girl." Wyatt said.
"None of us do, Little Guy." Taker said.
Just then, Angel rolled her eyes and growled under her breath. John was in the ring, mic in hand. Angel was sure he was going to talk about how he was going to win at Survivor Series. Kristy rolled her eyes too. Angel looked at her Daddy. He stood up. He never said a word as he left the locker room. John was in the ring, talking when suddenly a bell tolled and the lights went out. Then the Undertaker walked out. He walked to the ring as fast as he could. John looked shocked.
"What are you doing?" John snapped.
"Cena, do you think it was funny when you stepped into my yard two weeks ago and insulted my daughter and god daughter?" Taker asked.
"I...just...I told the truth, Deadman, you can't be mad at me for that!" John said.
"The truth?! You insulted them!" Taker growled.
"I...I...I mean...um..." John said.
"You had no right to come out here and say those things about them!" Taker growled.
"I...I...didn't...I'm sorry..." John said.
"Sorry is going to cut it this time, Cena. Kristy is so heartbroken that she wants to leave the road and go home. And she never wants to go home." Taker said.
"I..." John said.
"And how is Angel supposed to feel? Every time she walks down the halls everyone looks at her like they're disgusted." Taker snapped.
"I..." John said again.
"And it's your fault, Cena. Give me one good reason why I shouldn't beat you up right here, right now." Taker growled.
"Because I didn't mean to hurt them. I was angry. Mostly at Kristy." John said.
"Angry at Kristy for what?!" Taker growled.
"For moving on and not forgiving me." John said.
"Well, that's pretty childish if you ask me. But...I made a promise to Kristy and Angel that I was going to make you regret what you said about them and unlike you, Cena, I keep my promises." Taker said.
With that, he dropped the microphone and punched John in the face multiple times. John eventually bounced off the ropes and Taker choke slammed him. Then he picked John up and finished him off with a Tombstone. The fans were screaming. Kristy and Angel looked at each other with smiles on their faces. Once he was done, Taker left the ring. As soon as the locker room door opened, Kristy and Angel jumped up and gave him a hug.
"Ang was right. You made Cena regret what he said the only way you know how, Uncle Taker." Kristy said.
"By kicking his sorry butt." Angel said.
"Papa Taker scary." Wyatt said.
"I didn't mean to scare you, Little Wyatt." Taker said.
"Don't worry, Little Man. Papa Taker is only scary when he has to be. Like when someone messes with your Mommy and Aunt Angel." Adam said.
"Or anyone else." Kristy and Angel said.
"Me too?" Wyatt asked.
"Of course." Kristy said.
"Especially you, Little Man." Adam said.
Wyatt beamed. He crawled over to Taker and sat down at his feet. He looked up with wide eyes. Apparently, he had just realized how tall Taker actually was. Kristy giggled at the look on his face.
"What wrong, At?" Lea asked.
"Papa Taker big..." Wyatt answered.
Everyone laughed at that. Adam reached down and picked Wyatt up. Kristy had to get going for her match against Kaitlyn so she gave Wyatt a kiss and headed for the ring. Kaitlyn was waiting for her already. Kristy headed for the ring and the fans screamed. Kristy smiled. In spite of everything, the fans still loved her and it lifted her spirits a bit. Kristy stepped in the ring.
She and Kaitlyn shook hands and then the bell rang. Much like AJ, Kaitlyn pounced on Kristy. However, when she figured Kristy had had enough, she got up. Then she picked Kristy up and drove her knee into the small of Kristy's back. Then she did the same thing to Kristy's stomach. Then she backed into the corner, setting up for the spear. When Kristy stood up and turned around, Kaitlyn ran at her. However, Kristy countered with a clothesline that made Kaitlyn flip in a complete 360 before hitting the mat.
Kristy picked her up and drove her back into the corner. Then she started to punch. The fans counted each punch. Then Kristy got down and placed Kaitlyn on the top turnbuckle. She executed a perfect Superplex. Kristy stood up and grabbed Kaitlyn by the legs. She locked in the Sharpshooter. It was a few minutes later when Kaitlyn tapped out. The referee rang the bell.
Kristy helped Kaitlyn to her feet and shook her hand again. Then she left the ring and headed back to the locker room. When she walked in, Wyatt crawled over to her and pulled himself up using her leg. Kristy beamed and took both his hands. She stepped back and Wyatt followed her. Kristy hugged him and picked him up.
"Mama do good." he said.
"Awe, thanks, Little Man." Kristy said.
"Risty do good job! I wish I bigger so I fight too." Lea said, looking a little sad.
"You will, LeLe. But you have to get really grown up before you can fight. And that goes for you too, Little Man." Kristy said.
"An and Mama good fight." Wyatt said.
"Hey what about the rest of us?" Owen asked, pretending to sound offended.
"Owe good fight too." Wyatt said.
"I think everyone good fight, but Angel an Daddy an Risty are best." Lea said.
"Awe, thanks, Lea." Angel said.
"Thanks, Little One." Taker said.
"Thanks, LeLe you're sweet." Kristy said.
"I want see Daddy fight." Wyatt said.
"I know, Little Guy, but I can't. It's too dangerous for me now." Adam said.
"Mean man hurt Daddy?" Wyatt asked.
"No, Little Man. It started with a move gone wrong during a fight. I hurt my neck." Adam said.
"Bad hurt?" Wyatt asked.
"Yeah, Little Man. Bad hurt. I was out for almost a year." Adam said.
"And if Daddy fights again and something goes wrong, he might not be able to walk anymore, so it was safer for him to stop." Taker said.
"Mommy sad Daddy no fight?" Wyatt asked.
"Yeah, Wyatt, I'm sad that Daddy can't fight. I loved watching him in the ring. He's one of the strongest people on the microphone and when he fought, he'd fight with all his heart." Kristy said, blushing.
"Risty face red." Lea said with a giggle.
"Daddy fight lots people?" Wyatt asked.
"Yeah, I fought a lot of people." Adam said.
"I think out of everyone here though, Daddy seemed to fight Papa Taker the most." Angel said.
"Daddy fight Papa Taker?" Wyatt asked, looking surprised.
"Yeah. He did. Daddy and Papa Taker didn't like each other much back then. Considering Papa Taker sent Daddy to a not so good place." Kristy said.
"Oh..." Wyatt said, looking at Taker wide eyed.
"Don't worry, Little Guy. I won't do anything to your Daddy now. Or you." Taker said.
"Tay." Wyatt said.
"Not worry, At. Daddy sweet unless he have fight." Lea said.
"Tay!" Wyatt said with a yawn.
"I think it's time we head back to the hotel." Kristy said.
Adam and the others nodded. They headed back to the hotel and said goodnight to each other and went their separate ways. Angel showered and changed. She went and laid down in bed. A few minutes later, Lea crawled in beside her. Angel laughed.
"Lea, you know when you're a big girl, you're gonna have to sleep in your own bed, sweetheart." Angel said.
"I know, but now me little." Lea said.
"OK, Baby Lea." Angel said with a laugh.
Just then, Taker poked his head in. He couldn't help but laugh when he saw Lea curled up next to her sister. Angel sat up and Taker gave her a hug and kissed her cheek. Then he did the same for Lea.
"Lea, when you're a big girl, you won't be able to sleep in Angel's bed." Taker said.
"I know. Angel say that. I tell her that now I'm little so it tay." Lea told him.
"OK. I'll see you two tomorrow." Taker said with a laugh.
"Night night Daddy. Love you." Lea said.
"I love you too, Little One." Taker said.
"Goodnight, Daddy. I love you. Sleep well, OK?" Angel asked.
"I'll try, baby girl. I love you." Taker said.
He left, closing the door behind him. He laid down on the couch. Just before he dozed off, he could have sworn he saw Beth staring at him. She was grinning from ear to ear. Taker smiled as he fell asleep.
Alright, that's it for now. I'm opening up the suggestions like I do for all the Pay-Per-View chapters. Just out of curiousity, what did everyone think of what Triple H did to Daniel Bryan at SummerSlam? I don't blame Randy for cashing in, but I'm super pissed at Hunter for what he did. But that's just me. What did you guys think? OK, please leave a review. Bye guys!~Taker's Soul Girl
