DPOV
"Oh, thank god." Glenn said as we made it back to the car.
"Now we got a problem here. I need you to back up." Rick ordered Glenn.
Glenn grabbed his gun and pointed it at my brother, "What the hell is he doing here?!"
"Hey, put it down!" I yelled at both Glenn and Michonne.
"He tried to kill me!"
"If it wasn't for him-"
"He helped us get out of there." I told Glenn.
"Yeah, right after he beat the shit out of you." Rick replied.
"Hey, we both took our licks, man." Merle retorted.
"Jackass." I mumbled.
"Hey, shut up."
"Enough!" Rick yelled at him.
"Get that thing out of my face!" I yelled at Glenn.
"Man, look like you've gone native, brother." Merle laughed behind me.
"No more than you hanging out with that psycho back there." I replied.
"Oh, yeah, man. He is a charmer, I got to tell you that." Merle turned to look at Michonne, "Been putting the wood to your girlfriend Andrea. Big time baby."
"What? Andrea's in Woodbury?"
"Right next to the Governor." I answered.
Michonne went at Merle again, "I told you to drop that! You know Andrea?"
"Yep, she does." Merle answered for her, "Her and blondie spent all winter cuddling up in the forest. Mm-mmm-mmm. Yeah. My Nubian queen here had two pet walkers. No arms, cut off the jaws, kept them in chains. Kind of ironic now that I think about it."
"Shut up, bro!" I yelled at him.
God, he always talked too much.
"Hey, man, we snagged them out of the woods. Andrea was close to dying."
"Is that why she's with him?" Maggie asked.
"Yeah. Snug as two little bugs. So what you gonna do now, Sheriff, huh? Surrounded by a bunch of liars, thugs, and cowards." Merle said.
"Shut up!"
"Oh, man, look at this. Pathetic. All these guns and no bullets in them." Merle continued.
"Merle, shut up!" I yelled.
"Shut up yourself! Bunch of pussies you roll-" Rick hit him over the head with his gun and Merle fell unconscious to the ground.
"Fuckin' improvement." I mumbled and we walked towards the road, "Where's Alexa?"
"Asleep in the car. She hasn't said anything yet." Glenn answered. "We don't know what the Governor did to her yet."
RGPOV
"It won't work." I told Daryl.
"It's gotta." He replied.
"It'll stir things up."
"Look, the Governor is probably on his way to the prison right now." Daryl said. "Merle knows how he thinks and we could use the muscle."
"I'm not having him at the prison." Maggie said.
"Do you really want him sleeping in the same cell block as Riley or Charlie or Alexa?" Glenn questioned.
"He ain't a rapist."
"Well, his buddy is." Glenn said and I saw Maggie give him a look.
"They ain't buddies no more. Not after last night." Daryl said.
"There's no way Merle's gonna live there without putting everyone at each other's throats." I said.
"So you're gonna cut Merle loose and bring the last samurai home with us?" Daryl asked.
"She's not coming back." I told him.
"She's not in a state to be on her own." Maggie said.
"She did bring you guys to us."
"And then ditched us." I replied.
"At least let my dad stitch her up."
"She's too unpredictable." I said.
"That's right. We don't know who she is." Daryl responded. "But Merle, Merle's blood."
"No, Merle is your blood. My blood, my family is standing right here and waiting for us back at the prison." Glenn retorted.
"And you're part of that family." I told Daryl. "But he's not. He's not."
"Man, y'all don't know." Daryl looked over from Merle over to me, "Fine. We'll fend for ourselves."
"That's not what I was saying." Glenn replied.
"No him, no me."
"Daryl, you don't have to do that." Maggie said.
"It was always Merle and I before this." Daryl said.
"Don't."
"You serious? You're just gonna leave like that?"
"You'd do the same thing." Daryl said to Glenn.
"What do you want us to tell Riley? Charlie? Alexa's going to wake up and you're not going to be there. What are we supposed to tell her?"
"They'll understand." Daryl answered.
"Really? Because Charlie's seven. And Riley's thirteen. Would they understand Daryl?"
Daryl didn't answer as he walked towards the car.
"Hey, hey. There's got to be another way." I said to him.
"Don't ask me to leave him." Daryl replied, "I already did that once."
"We started something last night. You realize that, huh?" I asked.
"No him, no me. That's all I can say." Daryl said as he opened up the trunk.
He grabbed him bag and stared into the backseat, where Alexa was sleeping.
"You'll take care of her, won't you?" He asked me.
I nodded and watched as he left with his brother. How exactly am I supposed to tell Riley and Charlie that he left?
