(The Next Day)
That morning Emma, Brady, and Katie all wake up well rested and ready to go to the next town. They pack up from the night before and head back into the front of the Pokemon Center.
"Ok were are we going today?" asked Emma looking down at a map.
"How about checking out Winfield, IN" said the Nurse interrupting them.
"Why?" asked Emma looking up from the map.
"Well the have what is known as the Lakes of Four Seasons. Which at this time you could see all the Butterfree come to the lake and find a mate and fly off at the end of the week. The whole town has a festival in all." said the Nurse.
"That sounds cool." said Katie.
"That does." said Emma.
"I guess we have what we are doing today. We are traveling to Winfield then." said Brady.
"The events last all week" said the Nurse as the three left.
(On the to Winfield)
"I wonder who else is going to be there?" asked Katie.
"I do not know it would be nice to see who shows up to it." said Brady.
"From my understanding there are four." said Emma.
"I wonder what lake it is I guess we will have to wait till we get to Winfield." said Brady.
As they walked they seen many pokemon around the trees. They seen a lot of flying pokemon just nesting in the trees.
"I have been thinking about sending my Phantump home to our mom" said Katie to Emma.
"Why?" asked Emma back at Katie.
"I already have a really good grass pokemon and right now I do not need a ghost pokemon so I thought might as well send it home."said Katie.
"I guess that would be fine. You have to wait till we get to the next pokemon center." said Emma.
"If you two are done how about we stop here and take a little break and enjoy the many bird pokemon resting in the trees here." said Brady sitting on a little bench made out of old tree stumps.
"Yeah thats fine were are we exactly?" asked Emma.
"We passed a sign a few minutes ago that said we are at Deep River Country Park" said Brady.
"I am going to go walk around and see what I can fine" said Katie to Emma.
"Be back in about 30 minutes we are leaving then" said Emma.
"Ok" said Katie walking off.
(Emma and Brady)
"Now what?" asked Brady.
"Well I was going to go find a pokemon to capture right now since this place has some really coll ones to catch." said Emma.
"Which ones?" asked Brady.
"According to our Pokedex we can find Pidgeys, Venonats, Burmys, Taillows, Starlys, Pidoves and Fletchlings." said Emma.
"It sounds like there is a lot of flying type pokemon here." said Brady.
"That is true but none of those would really help me any since I already have a flying type pokemon in the form of Ducklett." said Emma.
"I am thinking that Katie is going to come back with one of those pokemon." said Brady.
"That would not surprise me any." said Emma laughing.
Emma then reaches for her bag and takes out an apple an begins to eat it.
"Hey you got anymore of those?" asked Brady.
"Yeah I do here you go." said Emma handing Brady her last apple.
"Thanks." said Brady taking it out of her hands and beginning to eat it.
They sat around till Katie returned after about 20 minutes of walking around.
"So Katie what did you do?" asked Emma.
"Well I just walked around the park I may have caught a flying type pokemon and enjoyed seeing this area." said Katie.
Who did you capture?" asked Emma.
"I caught a Pidgey that was in one of the trees around here." said Katie.
"Ok how did you catch it?" asked Emma.
"Well I did battle it." said Katie.
"Which pokemon did you use?" asked Emma.
"I used my Poliwhirl." said Katie.
"Ok thats good." said Emma.
"How about we battle Katie?" asked Brady before Katie could respond to Emma.
"Sure it would give me a chance to use my Pidgey." said Katie.
"I will ref the match." said Emma.
(Pokemon Battle Katie vs. Brady)
"How about we have a four on four Katie." said Brady.
"Ok" said Katie.
"This will be a four on four pokemon battle with after each battle both trainers will change pokemon when one of your pokemon faint." Emma taking your spot as the ref.
"Lets go Nuzleaf." said Brady.
"Go Vulpix." said Katie.
"Nuzleaf bullet seed."
"Vulpix dodge it and use flamethrower."
Brady's Nuzleaf fried dozens of small seeds at Katie's Vulpix. The Vulpix quickly moved to the side and used her own attack at the Nuzleaf. Whatever seeds Vulpix did not dodge was burned to a crisp and now the attack was coming at Nuzleaf. The attack hits Brady's Nuzleaf and damage done was massive. The Nuzleaf on the other hand did mange to continue but was burned badly.
Brady looks at his Nuzleaf then thinks for a few seconds as he does Katie uses another attack.
"Vulpix use flamethrower one more time."
Without acknowledging the attack coming Brady's Nuzleaf was unable to dodge it so he was hit with another powerful stream of flames. Brady's Nuzleaf this time was not able to continue and fainted.
"Nuzleaf is unable to battle, Vulpix wins." said Emma.
"Return Nuzleaf, and go Prinplup." said Brady.
"Great job Vulpix return, and go Eevee." said Katie.
"I am going right out of the gate with this. Eevee use shadow ball." said Katie.
"Dodge it Prinplup and use metal claw." said Brady.
Brady's Prinplup's wing began to glow a silvery metallic color and charged at the shadow ball. He used the metal claw and slashed right thought it. After destroying shadow ball Prinplup continued his metal and went for Eevee. Eevee dodged it by using dig.
"Where is he?' asked Brady looking frantically around.
His Prinplup was doing the same. As Brady and Prinplup looked to their left Katie's Eevee appeared to the behind Prinplup.
"Eevee use shadow ball."
Unaware of the shadow ball the Prinplup was in in the back and fell on his face.
"Prinplup are you ok?" asked Brady.
His Prinplup got up ready to continue.
"Prinplup use bubblebeam."
"Eevee use dig one more time."
The Eevee dived back into the hole he came out of. The Prinplup shot out a stream of bubbles at where Eevee was standing. The attack missed.
"Eevee now."
After that was said the Eevee came out under Prinplup and hit him.
"Prinplup quickly use metal claw."
Before the Eevee was able to hit him Eevee was hit by metal claw and fell to the ground. Katie's Eevee got up and continued to go.
"Prinplup use bubblebeam one more time."
Again Brady's Prinplup fired a stream of bubbles at the Eevee. Eevee was hit with the attack. Her Eevee got right back up. After getting back up the Eevee began to glow. It was evolving.
"Ok I know it is not evolving into one of the Eevee forms that involve a evolutionary stone, and it is not dark so that leaves two forms either Espeon or Sylveon" said Katie examining her Eevee that is starting show its new form.
The Eevee stopped glowing and now it is purple with its tail now have a split.
"Cool I now have a Espeon." said Katie examining her new pokemon.
"I have to attack again. So Prinplup use bubblebeam."
As the water cam towards Espeon the attack was stopped right in front of him. On the outside you could see blue witch meant that the Espeon used Confusion to stop the attack. Brady looked shocked when the attack was stopped.
"Ok I now psychic pokemon can stop attacks but I have to admit that was a quick reaction." said Brady in amazement.
The attack was then reversed back at Prinplup. Yes it was a water attack but it still did some damage.
"Espeon use shadow ball one last time."
Prinplup was not able to recover from the water reversed back at him so he took the full power of the shadow ball. The Prinplup was not able to continue so it fainted.
"Prinplup is unable to battle, Espeon wins." said Emma.
"Ok return Prinplup, and go Murkrow." said Brady.
"I guess no time like the present to try out Pidgey." said Katie.
This was a flying type pokemon battle. Both were in the air and ready to fight it out.
"Murkrow use peck."
"Dodge it Pidgey and use wing attack."
The Murkrow's beak begun to glow white and it charged at Pidgey. The Pidgey moved out of the way and its wings also glowed white and it began to charge at Murkrow.
"Murkrow dodge it quickly.
His Murkrow stopped its attack and dodged it. The Pidgey did not give up thought it continued and followed after the Murkrow. Both stayed flying after each other and were unaware of the Fearow they were going to fly into. They kept going and they hit the Fearow. This angered the Fearow and it attack both Murkrow and Pidgey with drill peck. Both birds hit the ground. The Fearow kept flying past both birds laying on the ground. Their respective trainers ran over to where the birds were on the ground.
"Ok so lets try to avoid that Fearow he seemed really mean." said Brady laughing.
"Yeah" said Katie also laughing.
"Well it looks like both your pokemon are fainted so now what?" asked Emma.
A few minutes later after Emma said that a older man runs over to them begins talking to them.
"Did that Fearow attack you young kids?" asked the old man.
"Not us but are pokemon." said Brady in response.
" I am so sorry he is mean sometimes but he my bird." said the old man.
"He is yours." said Brady looking confused.
"Not mine but my grandchild's. He is going thought the U.S region to I just saw a few hours ago." said the old man.
"My name is Brady and this is Emma and Katie and your name is?" asked Brady.
"Sorry were are my manners I am Geoff Greenwood but most people just call me old man." said old man.
"Who is your son?' asked Brady.
"Well his name is Seth do you know him?" asked Old Man.
"Yes we do. He is kind of a jerk and way to cocky." said Brady.
"Yeah thats the one." said old man laughing.
It went quite for a few seconds then the old man broke it by asking another question.
"So were you battling?" asked Old Man.
"Yeah Katie and me were." said Brady.
"Sorry if the Fearow interrupted that. Here take these." said Old Man handing them a pass.
"Whats this for?" asked Brady.
"Well it for the train from Winfield to Nashville." said Old Man.
"How do you know we are going to Winfield?" asked Brady.
"Its a guess. Am I right and if you are take a lot of pictures and bring some please." said Old Man.
"We will." said Brady.
"Thanks." said Old Man.
"Oh by the way one question. What exactly do you do or have done?' asked Brady.
"Well when I was your guys ages I was a really good bird pokemon trainer and that is why I live near here." said Old Man.
"Thats cool." said Brady as they left.
"Katie we have to finish are battle later." said Brady.
"I can agree to that." said Katie.
(On the Road to Winfield)
They start walking and still see some more bird pokemon in the air flying away. As the followed the road for another hour they finally make it to Winfield. They walk thought the town and see a lot of people walking around and talking about the events that are about to happen. They reach the Pokemon Center and walk in.
"Good evening trainers and welcome to Winfield." said the Nurse behind the desk.
"Yeah you too" said all three of them.
"If you are here to stay till the events at the Lake of Four Seasons. You are lucky we have only three beds left." said the Nurse showing them to the beds.
"When do they start exactly?" asked Emma.
"There are the events tonight but the Butterfree get here tomorrow so you can leave some of your stuff here on your beds and head over there." said the Nurse.
"That sounds like a good idea." said Emma dropping her bag on her bed.
Katie and Brady also drop their bag and backpack on their respective beds and all three of them walk out and walk towards the lake. About 30 minutes later they found themselves waiting in line for a ticket at the lake.
"This line is to long." said Katie impatient in line.
"This line is not moving." said Brady.
They were in line for about 20 minutes till a familiar face walks over to where they were standing.
"Andrew is that you?" asked Katie.
"Yeah it is." said Andrew laughing.
"What are you doing here?" asked Katie.
"I really just needed some time away from DC so I thought I would come here and see the events this whole week." said Andrew.
"If I were you I would be in DC." said Brady interrupting Katie.
"They already have begun fixing up the Pokemon League so I thought I would leave and do useful." said Andrew.
"I get it then." said Brady.
"So anyway do you want to get in right now or do you want to wait in line?" asked Andrew.
"We would love to get in right now but what about this line?" asked Katie.
"Leave that to me." said Andrew calling over one of the guards in charge of the line.
"What can I do for you Mr. Hanson?" asked the guard.
"You could let these three in they are with me." said Andrew.
"Ok." said the guard letting them out of the line and let them follow Andrew.
"If I may ask other than wanting to be out of DC why are you here?" asked Brady.
"Well I have to talk tonight on Robin's show. So rather then doing that I thought I might as well talk here and enjoy the spectacle." said Andrew.
"Ok." said Brady.
"Why don't you three find a place to seat while I go get ready to speak." said Andrew.
(At Lake of Four Seasons)
"I wonder what Andrew is going to talk about?" asked Katie to Emma.
"I do not know but I guess we have to wait and find out." said Emma back to Katie.
A couple security guards set up the mic stand and they test as everyone is ready to here Andrew then the Mayor of Winfield open up the event by setting off the opening night fireworks. After the guards set up the mic Andrew walks over to it and begins speaking.
"Good evening. I know most to all of you are aware of what happened the past couple days and I first want to say the people responsible will be brought to justice. I know I sound like a broken record because I repeated what was already said I just want to inform you all of it. Anyway welcome tonight to this grand event this only happens every three years so we are really lucky to see this sight. Next I want to take some time to say that the Ceremonial Torch to mark the first night of the Champions Cup has been lite in Hawaii and has just left to California were it will spend the next couple weeks. Then from California it will then head to Washington the State. I do not want to keep you waiting so here is the Mayor of this find city." said Andrew walking away from the mic standing and joining Brady, Emma, and Katie.
"Ok all I want to say is lets start this off right." said the mayor as the fire works start shooting off into the air.
Everyone watched as the fireworks shoot off and went of in the air. It was a sight all of the colors. After the firework show the Butterfree started showing up as they did all the people watched as they showed up and were in they were all in amazement. There were a lot of colors purples blues, reds and greens, the Butterfree all landed on the lake surface. As they did the audience began to make their way out of the lake and back to their houses, hotels, or to the pokemon Center.
"Man that was a sight." said Brady to Emma who was sitting to his right.
"I know." said Emma back to him.
On the the left side of Brady was Katie and next to her was Andrew.
"So now what?" asked Katie Andrew.
"Well tomorrow the whole town will be out walking through the town center were a lot of booths will be selling all types of items." said Andrew back to her.
All four of them have waited till most of the people have left to make their way to the exit.
"Andrew can I ask you a question?" asked Katie to Andrew.
"Sure go ahead." said Andrew back.
"Can your Galceon have a battle against my Espeon?" asked Katie.
"Yeah and when did you get an Espeon?' asked Andrew.
"My Eevee evolved this morning." said Katie.
"When did you want too?" asked Andrew.
"How about right here and now?" asked Katie.
"Sure." said Andrew.
"I will ref this." said Brady.
"Ok. You all follow me." said Andrew leading them a to an arena.
Brady takes his spot and Andrew and Katie meet in the middle of the arena.
(Eevee form Battle Andrew's Glaceon vs. Katie's Espeon.)
"This is a one on one battle between Andrew's Glaceon and Katie's Espeon. There will be no substitutions. This battle will go on till one pokemon cannot continue." said Brady.
"Glaceon I am in need of your assistance." said Andrew as he tossed his Glaceon's pokeball out to summon him.
"Espeon go." said Katie tossing his ball out.
"You can have the first move." said Andrew to Katie.
"Use Confusion Espeon."
"Glaceon dodge it and hit him with ice beam."
The Espeon released a purple aurora and it moved quickly towards Glaceon. The Glaceon moved out of the way and shoot a frozen stream of ice towards Espeon. The attack was stopped by Espeon who has changed the confusion's direction. Andrew's Glaceon stopped using ice beam and waited for the Espeon to reverse the ice beam back at him.
"Glaceon wait till Espeon shots the ice beam back and use shadow ball."
The Espeon reversed the attack back at Glaceon. Glaceon formed a shadow ball near his mouth and shot it at the ice beam coming towards him. The shadow ball destroyed the stream of ice. The shards of ice hits the ground.
"Your going to have to do better than that." said Andrew.
"I plan too." said Katie examining the recent string of attacks.
"Wow Katie is becoming a strong trainer." said Emma who was watching the battle beside Brady.
"Espeon shadow ball."
"Why not you use shadow ball too Glaceon."
Both the purple balls of energy hit each other and explode causing a cloud of smoke.
"Glaceon use hail."
Clouds start covering the area above the arena and it started hailing.
"Why would do that?" asked Katie.
"My Glaceon has an ability called snow cloak which makes him faster in the snow." said Andrew.
"The visibility is going to make this hard to land attacks on that Glaceon." said Katie.
"If you think its hard now you have not seen anything yet. Glaceon Blizzard."
Glaceon unleashed a powerful storm of ice which left Espeon not able to dodge it. The full power of that blizzard was felt by Espeon. The Espeon was not able to continue.
"Espeon is unable to battle, Glaceon wins, Andrew is the winner." said Brady.
Katie's Espeon came too and walks over to were Katie was. After that Andrew and Glaceon also walk over to Katie.
"That Espeon is strong now it will only get stronger as you travel with him." said Andrew.
"Thanks I still find that Glaceon impressive" said Katie.
"Training and hard work thats all." said Andrew.
"I better get going before it gets any later. All you should meet me in the Town Square." said Andrew.
"Ok." said all three of them.
"So I will see all of you tomorrow." said Andrew leaving.
"We better head back to the Pokemon Center." said Brady.
As they walked back to the Pokemon Center. Brady and Emma find themselves talking about the match between Brady and Katie as Katie was in front of them a little bit.
"Whats up Brady you seemed out of that match earlier?" asked Emma.
"I was just second guessing myself throughout that match." said Brady.
"Why?" asked Emma.
"I know I beat the gym leader, but how would I fair up against someone like Andrew or someone else." said Brady.
After saying that the three make it to the Pokemon Center and find their way to their beds and they layed down and fell asleep. That night ended that way.
Here is the long awaited update. The next update will come in two weeks because all next week I am going to fix up the first few chapters and changing the the first one. So here it is and now here is the Updates.
Trainer Update:
Brady was second guessing himself in his match with Katie.
Katie had a good match against Andrew with only her Espeon.
