"Goodness gracious, great balls of fire, are you crazy kids okay?" Spike calls.
She stands in the doorway of the lair with arms crossed. April peers around her.
"We're not crazy," Leonardo argues. "And we're fine."
"We beat him!" Michelangelo cries. "It was great!"
"Okay, glad you're all aliveā¦." Spike pats Donatello's shoulder. "Hi."
"Hi," Donatello greets. He turns to April. "Uh, hey, April."
"Hey Donnie," she smiles.
Donatello laughs nervously.
"Hey, April, Sanchez," Raphael greets.
"Dude, I got a name."
"Sarah," Raphael says.
"So help me, I will turn you into a backpack," Spike threatens.
"Have fun with that," he says, unconcerned.
Spike the Turtle plods over to Spike the Human.
Spike bends down and pets him. "Wassup, buddy."
"Dude, my turtle," Raphael shouts, bending to snatch him up.
"Chillax, I'm not trying to take him. If I did I'd have named him Gamera." She brings her hands up. "So, stop worrying."
He glares and backs away, turtle safely in his arms.
"Spike, Raphael, calm down," April says irritably. "You guys argue too much."
"April, Sarah," Splinter greets. "Are you well?"
"Well, I have an algebra test soon, but Donnie promised to help me with it," Spike says. She pulls out a math book. "I have evidence."
Splinter smiles gently. "Alright. I trust you will train later?"
"Sure will, Sensei." Spike turns. "Let's go."
~Where April Goes~
April and Michelangelo join them a few minutes later, Spike's confusion. April was no whiz at math, but why did Michelangelo care?
Donatello shrugs them off and keeps talking. "Anyway, so-"
"Yo, Raph! Can you come in here?!" Michelangelo calls.
Raphael strides in. "What?"
"Stand next to Spike. I want to see how tall you are," April says, grinning.
"Why?" Spike asks.
"Stand up," April tells her.
Spike stands. "Why? Why do you care? Does it matter how tall we are?"
Michelangelo pulls Spike so she stands next to Raphael.
"Lookit that," April says. She pulls out a ruler.
"Is this necessary?"
Snap!
Spike stares in horror at the handcuffs surrounding her wrist.
And in more horror, at the other wrist. "Dude! Why? Why handcuff me to the reptile?"
"Do you have something against reptiles?" Raphael snaps.
"Only ones that argue with me constantly," she growls.
"You guys argue too much," April declares. "That's the problem. They are not real handcuffs, but they're still hard to get out of. You guys learn to get along, and we'll bail you in an hour." She, Michelangelo, and Donatello, walk out of the room.
Michelangelo has the decency to look somewhat sorry.
Donatello looks star struck.
April looks victorious.
And Spike and Raphael are left in the lab looking very unhappy.
