Chapter 37: Not According to Ed

Eddy opened his locker the next day, he glanced to Edd's locker, letting out a sigh, looking back into his own. Ed pat Eddy's back. "At least he's here in spirit…" Ed sighed. Eddy shrugged, closing his locker.

"I guess…" Eddy muttered, zipping up his bookbag. A group of students ran past them in a panic, screaming.

Eddy watched them run. "Wonder what that's about…" He turned in time to see Marie standing in front of him with her arms crossed. "What the hell do you want?!" Eddy frowned. Marie's eyes narrowed as she grabbed his shoulder, shoving him into the locker. Ed jumped, backing away.

"Hiya Skipper." Marie sneered. She used her forearm to press against his neck, making sure he would have a hard time breathing. Some students couldn't help but stop and watch, including Nazz and Rolf. "You never mentioned it was your fault that my boyfriend was suspended." She moved her face close to Eddy's, glaring at him. Eddy's face going red. Marie held up her fist. "You're gonna regret that."

May ran up to Marie, pulling her away. "You just got back in school, you wanna get kicked out?" May whispered. Marie rolled her eyes.

"That asshole withheld information!"

Lee walked up with her arms crossed, smacking Marie. "Don't be stupid, we'll deal with him later." She snapped, looking to Eddy with an evil smile. May and Marie nodded, also giving the same smile. They began to walk away.

Nazz and Rolf stared at each other confused while Kevin showed up, pointing at Eddy, moving his finger across his neck. "You're gonna die." He mouthed.

Eddy swallowed hard, looked away. "That wasn't according to plan…"

Ed blinked, watching as May left with his lip trembling. "Eddy..."

"What?" Eddy frowned, looking to Ed. A wet mop head hit Eddy in the back of the head, causing him to topple over. Nazz gasped, running to his side while Marie's laugh was heard in the background. Kevin and Rolf couldn't help but snicker.

"Seriously guys?!" Nazz growled to them, helping Eddy up.

"There's a mop head." Ed finally warned.

Eddy sat up, pushing Nazz away out of aggravation. He glared towards Marie, seeing as a teacher had her by the arm, dragging her towards the principal's office. "You okay Eddy?" Nazz asked. Ed lifted Eddy, dusting him off.

"Don't worry!" Marie called out to Eddy. "I made sure I flushed the toilet before I wet that mop!" She cackled.

Nazz cringed, her hands shaking in disgust. "Oh my god… Ew!" She cried, running to the bathroom.

Kevin and Rolf quickly backed away from Eddy. "Dude… that chick is fucking nuts." Kevin commented.

Rolf nodded in agreement. "Yes, Rolf has seen the crazy in that Kanker's eyes. Double D Ed-Boy is a lucky man." Eddy grimaced.

Ed sat in the cafeteria, downing all the food he could grab. Eddy sat across from him now in his P.E uniform with his hair down, staring in a disturbed manner. "Seriously Lumpy." Eddy muttered, opening his chocolate milk.

"Can I see that?" Marie sat next to Ed and Eddy, grabbing the milk from Eddy's hands. She read the ingredients. "Best if served poured." She smirked. She dumped the milk over Eddy, smashing the empty container on his head. Ed watched dropping the toast that was in his hand. "Hm… that wasn't nearly as satisfying." Marie grabbed the carton re-reading it. "Oops… there was another sentence, 'In a glass.' Sorry Chump." Marie slapped Eddy's back, throwing the carton at his face, walking away.

Everyone in the cafeteria stared at Eddy, who sat in shock that Marie would do such a thing.

"Exfoliating." Ed smiled to Eddy. "If Double D were here, he'd hand you a napkin." Ed went back to eating his toast. He went into his pocket, pulling out a dirty looking handkerchief, wiping Eddy's face with it. "There there." Ed pat Eddy's chocolate milk covered head. He blew his nose into the handkerchief, going back to rubbing Eddy's face. Eddy cringed, smacking him away.

"Don't touch me!" Eddy snapped, getting up, leaving the cafeteria.

Marie sat over with her sisters, stretching. "Fuck it feels great to let loose!" She smiled. "I gotta tell ya, I missed this…"

May shook her head, drinking her water. "I'm surprised Eddy is taking it." She said, glancing over to Lee. "I expected him to snap when you poured the milk."

"That toilet mop was a nice touch." Lee glanced over seeing Jimmy walking towards the trash can that was right behind them. Lee clenched her jaw, sitting up. "Girls, looks like we're going to have to step up our game." She stated with a smile. Marie looked to her. "If we're bringing Eddy down, we're bringing Ed down." Lee nodded to Ed, who was sitting alone, back to eating his food.

May tensed, staring at Ed. "But Lee."

"She's right." Marie smirked, looking at Ed. "It would be too sad seeing Big Ed sitting all alone…"

Jimmy walked by, listening in on their conversation as he tossed his tray.

"Nobody upsets my man… and gets away with it." Marie snapped. "And the way I see it. Ed is just as guilty. He could have taken the fall." Marie slammed her hand on the table.

May shook her head. "But… you guys said you would leave Big Ed out of this…" May cried.

Marie then smiled, looking over to her sister's. "I've got an idea." Motioning Lee and May closer to tell them the plan.

Jimmy tried to listen in.

"We can't do that!" May cried. "Big Ed will be heartbroken!"

"Hey!" Lee grabbed May's face, squeezing her cheeks. "I thought you two were…" Lee stopped glaring over to Jimmy. She stood up instantly, grabbing Jimmy's shirt, pulling him closer. "What have we here?" She smiled. Jimmy began to shake, staring at Lee. Marie and May stood up smiling. "Looks like we've got a little eaves dropper." Lee looked to her sisters.

May poked at him, while Marie grabbed his wallet, looking in it.

"Sarah!" Jimmy cried.

Sarah glared up seeing Jimmy surrounded by the Kankers. She growled, standing up from her table instantly, stomping over to them.

"Isn't he adorable?!" Marie pinched his cheek. Sarah grabbed her, throwing her out of the way.

"Leave Jimmy Alone!" Sarah shouted, grabbing Jimmy from Lee. Lee placed her hands onto her hips. The sisters surrounded Sarah, glaring at her. "You don't scare me anymore. It's not like you can do anything to me, we're on school grounds." Sarah laughed. Lee, May and Marie looked to each other, then to Sarah. "Trailer Trolls." Sarah snapped. Jimmy hid behind Sarah nodding.

The Kankers smiled to Sarah. "This is gonna be easier than we thought." Lee said smugly. Sarah blinked, confused at the statement. Lee put her arm around Sarah, patting her head. "You're cute kid." She smiled. Sarah's face began to burn up. Jimmy watched as May and Marie looked to Ed, seeing he was watching. "But… living in a trailer is temporary, that face of yours on the other hand, that'll haunt you for the rest of your life." Lee flicked Sarah's nose. Sarah's face went red. Jimmy covered his mouth, watching as Sarah's eye twitched. "Now, how about you go run along, and find some napkins to stuff your bra with. Come back when you think you actually have a chance against us, and try watching a few videos on how to do actually apply make-up right, that might help you look dateable." Lee shoved Sarah away from her.

"Ed!" Sarah screamed. Ed stared over to them, seeing Sarah with tears in her eyes.

"You can't take the heat… stay out of the kitchen." Lee wiped a tear from Sarah's cheek, licking it, walking back to her sisters with a smirk. Jimmy rushed over to Sarah, hugging her.

"Here he comes…" Marie smiled. Lee turned on her heel to see Ed charging towards them with smoke billowing from his nose. "… well, there goes my idea." Before Ed could tackle Lee, Jonny ran in front of him.

Lee crossed her arms, inches from Ed without even flinching. "Is something wrong big guy?" Lee smirked. Marie watched the expression on Ed's face, quickly looking to May whose lip was trembling. Marie curled her lips, glancing back to Ed. She placed her hand onto May's shoulder. May shuttered, looking to Marie, shocked.

"I'm sorry," Marie mouthed. May tilted her head.

"Ed don't! It's a trap!" Jonny cried. Kevin and Rolf looked up seeing Ed, rushing over to stop him. Ed flew into Jonny carrying him with him. Kevin and Rolf came up behind from grabbing Ed. Sarah and Jimmy looked up, watching as Ed reached out for the Kankers.

"You hurt Sarah!" Ed cried, grabbing at Lee, who stood unmoved with a smile across her face.

"They're not worth it!" Kevin shouted, pulling back with Rolf, still barely stopping Ed from moving. "Remember the game's today!" May watched, covering her mouth, tears formed in her eyes as she saw Ed upset.

Eddy walked into the cafeteria with his hair wet and a tight shirt on that barely went over his stomach, seeing the confusing scene, he frowned when he saw the Kanker's in their typical stance with Lee smiling. "Hey!" Eddy shouted. Everyone stopped, turning to Eddy. Eddy walked over to Ed, smacking him. "Get a hold of yourself Lumpy!" Eddy snapped, he glared at the Kankers.

"Hi Eddy." Lee winked, waving. "See you got my shirt in the Lost and Found I left for you."

"Drop Cueball and let's go." Eddy sighed to Ed, attempting to pull the shirt down to cover his stomach, it popped back up.

Ed dropped Jonny, walking away with Eddy. "Fricken Kankers." Eddy grumbled.

"That was not a part of the plan!" Eddy hissed to Lee and her sisters. "You almost got Ed in trouble!" Lee leaned against the stall in the girl's bathroom, smoking a cigarette, while Marie was doing her nails, sitting on the counter. May was reapplying make-up. "Can I have one." Eddy asked, pointing to Lee's cigarette in defeat.

"This is the last one." Lee lied.

"Listen, you're the asshole who said nothing about you being the one who got my Dreamboat suspended." Marie snapped. "You hide information from us again, I personally will ruin you." Marie stared Eddy down darkly.

Eddy's eyes narrowed. "I'm already fucking paying your Kanker Fee, who cares how Double D got suspended?! I'm here to prove my innocence!" Eddy argued. Marie's jaw clenched, Eddy froze, noticing her whole attitude shift. Lee and May gave a smile, waiting for Marie to snap. "…and Double D's." Eddy finished, turning his gaze away from Marie's. Marie drew in a deep breath, relaxing. Lee frowned at Marie's lack of reaction. May blinked, returning to her make-up.

"Just trust us, Angry Smurf, we're professionals." Marie blew on her nails. "When have we ever failed at our objective?" She crossed her legs, shaking her hands.

Eddy frowned. "We did exactly what we needed to." May put the last touches of mascara on. "Trust us." May smiled. Eddy sighed, walking into one of the stalls, closing it behind him. "And I bet you that little boy will be finding something to get us now…." May frowned when she got mascara on her brow. "Did we really have to drag in poor Big Ed."

Marie looked to May. "That reminds me, I think we're going about this shit all wrong." Lee and May looked to Marie. "Did you notice when we targeted Big Ed, Blondie didn't even think twice, he was too busy comforting the Big Mouthed Bitch." Marie pulled out her phone, smiling when she saw she got a text from Edd.

Lee stood up, putting her cigarette to her mouth. "Yeah, Curly Cue showed no concern for Tweedledum getting in trouble." Lee glared to Marie and May. "You two did though." May and Marie ignored Lee. "What the fuck did you two think you were doing?!" Lee grabbed Marie by the shirt, dragging her towards her. "You better not be getting soft!"

Marie rolled her eyes, shoving Lee away. "What's wrong with having morality?!" Marie snapped. "Big Ed is an idiot, a loving sweet idiot, you went too far with him." Lee glared at Marie. "And I hate to break it to you, but if that weird kid wasn't there, Ed would have pummeled us."

May glared at Marie. "Take that back!" She hissed. "Big Ed would have hugged us!" Lee smacked them both.

"If I didn't know any better… I'd say Hathead is rubbing off on you." Lee growled to Marie.

Eddy flushed the toilet, rushing out, forgetting to zip his pants. "So what does that mean?" He snapped. Marie, May and Lee rolled their eyes, glaring to Eddy.

"It means this little moron isn't as tough as she claims anymore." Lee punched Marie's arm. Marie punched her back

"No! About Jimmy not helping Ed."

"It means he doesn't care about Big Ed! Duh!" May snapped. Eddy frowned. "He's obviously trying to mislead us… and we almost got poor Big Ed in trouble for no reason!"

Marie crossed her arms smiling. "You're right… we went after the wrong red head." Marie glanced to Lee. "That little tit-less brat does need a lesson in manners." Eddy tilted his head. "She's been getting awfully mouthy."

Lee rolled her eyes. "We already got Curly Cue where we want him, and I already put that snot-nosed brat in her place. We're done here." Lee glared to Eddy.

"Last I checked, none of this shit was part of my plan!" Eddy growled.

"Uh-oh…" Marie whispered, looking down at her phone.

"What?!" Lee and Eddy asked, rushing over to her. Marie put the phone to her chest, looking at them. May put her make up away, turning to Marie.

Marie held out her phone, showing a picture of Lee in the boy's locker room. Lee smashed her cigarette into the counter, quickly grabbing the phone, hiding it from Eddy. "Wait… what are you doing in there?!" Eddy asked. "Why were you in there?!" He grabbed at the phone, Lee moving away. She glanced back down to the phone checking to see the video.

"Hey, don't let hot head near my phone, I saw what happened to my Oven-Mitt's" Marie warned.

"When was this taken?!" Lee snapped, she continued to watch the video. Her eyes went wide gasping.

"Wait… what's happening?" May asked.

Marie grabbed May's shirt, whispering something. May's jaw dropped, staring at Lee and Eddy fought over the phone. "Really?!" May questioned, Marie nodded with a smirk. "No way!" Eddy attempted to reach it as Lee held it above her head. Eddy reached up the back of Lee's shirt, unhooking her bra. Lee frowned, smacking Eddy with the phone, deleting the message in the process. Eddy grabbed the phone, looking at it.

"What the hell?! You deleted it!" Eddy snapped, glaring to Lee as she re-hooked her bra.

"Hope our freshies are getting the info." May sighed. Marie nodded, snatching her phone back from Eddy. "That was a low blow. This kid isn't play any games."

Eddy looked at his watch. "I've gotta go." He walked towards the door, he pulled out a hall pass, turning to the Kankers. "Try not to get us suspended." Eddy snapped.

"Yeah, and try not to wear Powerpuff underwear." Lee smirked. Eddy looked down to his zipper, quickly zipping it up with his cheeks flushed. May and Marie laughed. Eddy turned around, sneaking out the door. "Idiot." Lee shook her head.

"So, who all got that video?" May asked.

"Oven-Mitt said it was on the school site." Marie explained. "So… you and the jock?" Marie gave Lee a wicked smirk. "How was that?" Lee glanced to Marie then May.

May awkwardly played with her fingers. "Why didn't you tell us?" May asked. "When did that happen?"

"Marie, tell Hathead to erase that video. We got Curly Cue exactly where we want him." Lee snapped, leaving the bathroom.

Marie held up her phone, texting Edd. "Guess it wasn't good." Marie commented. May looked to Marie biting her lip. Marie caught the nervous glance, rolling her eyes. "So, she had a secret, don't we all?"

"No, I tell you guys everything." May admitted.

Marie rolled her eyes. "Yeah, and sometimes I wish you didn't." She snapped, leaving the bathroom. May frowned, grabbing her bag following.
