Tsunade was already halfway through the Sake bottle that she kept in her desk drawer while Shizune stood beside the desk, Tonton in one arm and was bitting the thumb of her other hand. The Raikage's travel party had been spotted by the border patrol and there had been no word on Kakashi's team or their disguised forms that they should be in. Tsunade groaned and let her head hit the desk hard after she finished her current glass of Sake, almost missing the poor of smoke in front of her desk.
"I'm sure I've told you that giving yourself a concussion doesn't actually get you out of your meetings, my lady," a familiar voice spoke as Tonton let out a squeal and Shizune gasped.
Tsunade lifted her head and saw Team Seven and two ANBU, Dog and Raven, standing in front of her. Naruto looked slightly pale but no one looked like they were going to pass out. Raven came around the desk and green chakra glowed around her gloves hand as she healed the concussion, taking away her drunken feeling as well.
"Did you just remove my buzz?" Tsunade growled.
"It would do the Hokage no good to be so drunk that she cannot properly greet a fellow Kage, especially not wearing her designated Kage cloak," she spoke simply before walking over to the closet that held the ugly cloak and hat. "They are almost to the gates."
"How did you arrive so quickly?" Shizune whispered as she moved to help Tsunade into the cloak.
"The summoning tattoo you usually summon me with for hospital emergencies. I can separate the different chakras and pull on a singular one without having to have a summons. We should be going to greet them."
"Right. Team Seven will you please wait in here for now. If you are needed, Shizune will bring you to the conference room. Raven, Dog, Shizune, let us go and greet our guests," Tsunade spoke as she pulled on the Hokage hat, leading the way out of the room with Shizune close behind and the two ANBU behind her.
They walked out of the Hokage building and headed down the streets. As people saw them, the streets cleared and everyone stayed near the buildings as they whispered to each other since it was very rare to see the Hokage in her cloak and hat with guards. Soon they reached the gates at the same time as the Raikage's party.
"Lady Tsunade, I am slightly surprised to see you out to greet us sober," the Raikage, Darui spoke as he lifted his hat to reveal his shaggy white hair and mustache.
"Lord Darui, it would be disrespectful to not greet a fellow Kage," Tsunade spoke with a tight grin. "Shall we retire to the tower for some refreshments?"
"I'm surprised to not see Team Seven with you, considering I had requested their presence," Darui frowned.
"And it is odd to see ANBU instead of your usual guards and companions," Tsunade spoke noticing that every shinobi behind him wore cloaks and masks similar to Raven and Dog. "Team Seven just got back from a mission and was briefing me when we heard that you were arriving."
"Very well. Once we are all seated, I wish to see them and the one I've written you about."
"That can be among our conversations," Tsunade spoke. "Shall we Lord Darui?"
"Of course Lady Tsunade," Darui spoke as he walked forward and offered his arm for her to take and she accepted the gesture. "This visit, of course, is friendly."
"It's hard to think that when you write letters demanding meetings then arriving when you have not gotten any response," Tsunade spoke with a fake smile.
"I could not write more if it had been intercepted. Communication through eagle carriers is not always the best."
"One thing at a time."
Once inside the Hokage tower, everyone sat at the large conference table, excluding Kakashi and Kiya in their guises who stood behind Tsunade's chair looking around the room. Six shinobi in masks that looked exactly the same and cloaks sat evenly on either side of the Raikage leaving several chairs separating the two parties for if Team Seven and clone Kakashi came in.
"Now that we are comfortable, why are you demanding meetings with a child who has never even entered your nation?" Tsunade spoke after a sip of Sake.
"It came to our attention through one of my men here, hearing rumors of a girl of a different color living in a place that made her stick out like a sore thumb. My man became concerned once hearing whispers of her name and we want to bring her to Kumogakure," Darui spoke, resting his hands on the table as he leaned forward.
"You wish to steal one of my shinobi based on the fact of the color of her skin?" Tsunade asked incredulously and Kiya let out a snort beside Kakashi. "Hush Raven."
"It's okay, Tsunade. I am curious as to what would be so amusing to make an ANBU lose their composure," Darui spoke, his eyes narrowed.
"It is not amusing at all, my Lord Darui, but what you are saying, that skin color affects things and where a person should live is based on that? The fact that you, someone who is tanned by the sun thinks that a child born with dark skin needs to live within your village just because Konoha's villagers are all light skinned makes me already want to hate you," Kiya spoke, detest in her voice.
"Raven!" Tsunade scolded.
"He asked so that means I was given permission to speak freely," Kiya muttered and Kakashi wanted to sigh, remembering that she had once mentioned that people were cruel to her because of her skin.
"You are well versed on communicating with Kages," the man on Darui's right chuckled. "My lord, I don't think that we need to have Team Seven come in because the one we are looking for is right in front of us."
"How can you be sure?" Darui spoke slightly confused and Kakashi frowned.
"She has her mother's fiery attitude," the man spoke as he removed his mask and pulled off his hood. "Come now Kiya, there no point hiding."
"Who are you?" Tsunade frowned, not recognizing the bald man, but his skin was just as dark as Kiya's and his eyes were a violet color.
"I was born in this world thirty years ago. It wasn't until roughly a year ago that all these images, these memories, started to fill my head. The name I was given the day of my birth was Razik Akanishi, but the name you know me by is Darnel Laurent."
"Lies," Kiya hissed.
"Raven, manners…"
"This man is a stranger from another nation," Kiya snapped as she pulled her cloak off and removed her mask. "You were born in these nations and lived thirty years before images of a past life bothered your brain. You are Razik Akanishi. Don't mistake your own feelings for one from images in your head."
"I am your fam…"
"I have a family!" Kiya screamed, interrupting the man Razik. "People who have accepted me, who love me for me, not the fucking color of my skin!"
"Kiya, you need to calm down," Kakashi spoke quietly as he touched her shoulder, noticing that her right arm was enveloped with her water chakra while fire chakra moved up her left arm.
"Dog, get her out of her before she blows up my tower," Tsunade spoke as she noticed the two chakras moving up Kiya's armor-plated arms.
"Razik, if you ever mention my mother or try to claim to be a man who is dead again, I'll kill you," Kiya snarled as kakashi wrapped his arms around her shoulders before he teleported then to one of the empty training grounds.
Jumping away from her as he felt the heat of her fire chakra, he moved far enough away as she screamed out all her frustration and anger. As she screamed, he watched in curiosity as her water and fire chakra seemed to blend as it fell to the ground and swirled in a large circle around her turning into purple flames of water. From where he stood, he could feel the heat because of her anger.
Eventually her screams stopped and he watched as she fell to her knees, tears streaming down her face but the water flames seemed to only intensify and rise up above her, hiding her from sight. Across the field he could see the Kage cloaks of Tsunade and Darui with Team Seven and his guards a few paces behind. All six had their masks on and Kakashi was grateful that Razik had chosen to cover his face that reminded the woman he loved of the family she no longer had.
The large group skirted around the field but the minute they tried to walk closer to Kakashi a wall of water fire appeared behind him, blocking them from getting closer as the water flames grew even large, creating a way around most of the training grounds. Kakashi watched in fascination as the fire no longer felt hot as it surrounded him before a small pathway appeared in front of him leading right to Kiya. As he walked forward, the path behind him disappeared so he hurried forward until he reached Kiya, her hands clenched in fists on the ground covered in blood.
"Kiya," Kakashi felt his chest hurt as he watched her pound her fists into the ground. He pulled his ANBU mask up to rest on top of his head and knelt in front of her, pulling her up so she couldn't hurt herself anymore and cupped her face in his hands. "Why has this torn you up so much?"
"He knew his name… he has his face… but I know it's not him…" she sobbed. "And because he had flash backs of another life, he tried to steal me away from my family… from you… I'm so sorry for pushing away… I got scared…"
"Drop this wall of water fire and let me take you home," Kakashi spoke gently, wiping her tears away with his thumbs. "Both Kages are outside your barrier."
"I don't know how…" she sobbed. "I didn't even realize that I did anything. I just got so mad…"
"It's okay," Kakashi murmured, pressing his masked lips to her brow. "I'm here, Kiya, it's okay."
"Forgive me, Kashi," she sobbed as she brought her hands to his face and pulled his mask down.
"There's nothing to forgive," he whispered before leaning down and pressing his lips against hers.
The minute his lips met hers, he heard a loud sound and pulled back to see the flames in the water disappear before the water turned blue and started falling towards them. He pulled Kiya against him as he pulled his mask up and jumped out of the center of the lake of water that was crashing down towards them and landed in a tree. Holding Kiya close, they watched as the training grounds became a small lake as the water had nowhere to drain to.
"Oops," Kiya giggled, her arms wrapped around his neck. "Do you think that the Raikage will start a war because he almost drowned?"
"Doubt it," Kakashi chuckled as he noticed the group waist deep in water, looking around for them, "but an apology needs to be made to the Raikage."
"I don't want to," she whined, burying her face against his neck. "This ANBU armor is uncomfortable."
"After you apologize," Kakashi promised as he jumped out of the tree and landed on the training-ground-turned-lake, stabilizing his chakra as he carried her to the drenched group that now stood on the water instead of in it.
"That was definitely a sight to see," Darui spoke with a smile on his face as Kakashi helped Kiya stand and she wrapped her arms around herself and kept her eyes on the water below them. "To see two chakras merge so beautifully."
"Kiya," Tsunade spoke firmly and Kakashi saw her flinch slightly in response.
"I'm sorry for losing my temper," Kiya spoke quietly, her hands fidgeting with the side straps of the ANBU chest plate.
"You are forgiven," Darui spoke gently. "I feel that it was worth it to see such beautiful chakra control. Tsunade told me that you're an amazing med-nin. If you're ever up for a change in scenery, your welcome to come teach my people a thing or two in Kumogakure."
"No thanks," Kiya muttered, finally lifting her head warily to look at the group in front of her, her eyes narrowing as she focused on the masked man to Darui's right.
"Take it easy, Kiya," Kakashi spoke quietly as he placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Kiya, can you take care of this lake you have created?" Tsunade spoke, changing the subject. "I'm sure the genin teams would like to be able to train in the morning."
"I thought they'd like a day off," Kiya muttered before turning around and summoned her flames, evaporating the lake and drying out the ground before turning around to dry everyone off.
"How's you're chakra levels? That was a lot of chakra you've expelled."
"I've been told that I have a large reserve, similar to the Kazekage in strength and size, but I've never cared to test it," she shrugged, but Kakashi noticed a shift in her stance as she shifted her feet.
"Kiya?" Kakashi looked down at her and opened his Sharingan to examine her chakra levels. "You've used up a majority of your chakra."
"I know," she spoke before covering her mouth as she yawned.
"Kakashi, get her home. Team Seven, your dismissed. Kakashi, come to my office this afternoon for your report."
"Yes ma'am," Kakashi spoke as he let his clone disappear and pulled Kiya back into his arms and started walking back towards the village with Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto close behind.
