The next day found Lana, Clark, and Anglea hanging out at the Talon fixing and working on little things.
Clark was helping with a pipe, and Angela had chosen with the minor stuff. Lana had gone to get a wrench for Clark when Angela smirked seeing him use his fire to weld the pipe together.
"Smartass,"
"Oh hush bird,"
"Bird? Really?," Angela cracked up laughing at the oddball nickname Clark had chosen.
"Wow you got it fixed,"
"Yeah just needed a good tightening,"
"Thanks Clark," Lana blushed as she admired Clark in his soaked white t-shirt.
"You know I miss you living across the street,"
"Yeah we had some good memories," Lana giggled as Angela shook her head at the silly little love birds.
"Any news on Whitney?," Angela asked trying to change the topic.
"No, they even sent back all his personal effects including my meteor necklace,"
"Sorry to hear that Lana I know he meant alot to you,"
"Thanks Angela," Lana replied as they began cleaning up and starting seperating to go to their respective homes.
Angela decided to make a surprise visit to the school the next day to see Chloe and say hi to her friends. When she walked in she was happy to over hear her brother asking Lana to the winter dance.
Suddenly the hall went quiet. Angela turned around to look in the direction the rest were and was shocked to see Whitney standing in the doorway.
Angela could tell Clark was upset and made her way over to him. Pushing on his arm gently she led him away towards the Talon office to get away from it all.
When they entered Chloe was hunched over her computer as always.
"Still nothing on military web about Whitney and I've tried everything,"
"Don't worry about it he just showed up five minutes ago and is with Lana," Angela said as she shoved Clark into a chair.
"What's wrong with him?,"
"He finally took the plunge and asked Lana to the dance just right before Whitney walked through the school doors after she had agreed,"
"Ouch, it will be ok Clark," all they got as a response from him was a groan of pain.
After all that hubbub Angela sent Clark home and headed to the mansion but stopped dead as she over heard Lex taling to another woman.
"I know you have ties to my father, that you have accepted thousands of dollars from Luthorcorp, I did a complete background on you cause something about you didn't sit right with me,"
"I owe you nothing!," came the shrill scream as Angela was surprised to see Dr. Helen storm around the corner.
"Lex?,"
"Sorry you had to hear that love,"
"It's ok Lex what was that about,"
"She has been having ties to my father and we know how that is,"
"True, come sit with me Lex," Angela patted the spot beside her on the couch which he occupied a moment after while pulling her close.
"It will all work out, you will figure out the doctor, and I get to play party goer with the schoobies,"
"Why?,"
"Cause Whitney is back from the marines,"
"Really but I thought he was missing,"
"We all did but he showed up at the school today,"
"Clark ok?,"
"How'd you guess?,"
"It's Clark we know how he is in the Lana situation,"
"True, only sucked cause he had asked her to the winter dance right before Whitney showed up,"
"Ouch, well looks like it's going to be a interesting time for us both,"
"Yup," Angela giggled as she cuddled up to Lex, both of them just relaxing in front of the fire slowly falling asleep.
The next day was insane Angela had spent it at the mansion doing work but with her phone blowing up almost every twenty minutes.
Whitney ripped the Talon bathroom apart -Clark
Clark is being jealous why? - Lana
Why aren't you here Ang need my star helper with trying to get Whitney to open up - Chloe
Something is wrong with Whitney, might be meteorite related - Clark
'Ah damnit', Angela thought as she read that last text pissed that it was yet another problem cause of those stupid rocks.
Later that evening Clark came over to hang out and play pool. Angela chose to sit in the corner finishing up a few pieces of work while he and Lex began playing.
"So what's up with you and this Doctor Lex?,"
"No idea what you're talking about Clark,"
"She is going around saying how you and her are together have been since shortly after our dad's accident,"
"Lex?," Angela spoke up at the point worried.
"There is nothing going...,"
"Lex love there you are," came the shrill voice of the forementioned Helen.
"You bastard," Angela scooped up her books and rushed out crying.
Clark shook his head at Lex's stupidity. Heading upstairs where he saw his sister had locked herself in he knocked despite her knowing he could get in either way.
"Hey sissy don't cry please I hate to see tears in your eyes,"
"He swore he loved me,"
"I know sis, it's his fault his loss. Do you wanna home to the farm?,"
"Yes, I'll send for my stuff," Angela said putting her hand in Clark's and heading out speed wise.
When they got home they were lucky their parents weren't home yet to ask questions so he set her up in the loft, even going as far as helping her move her bed up there as well.
She had chosen to make the loft her new room she planned to seperate the loft with a sheet to give her privacy while she slept but also the loft half would be easy to access for her and Clark.
She was heartbroken. She couldn't understand how Lex could hurt her after everything they had gone through.
The next day Clark and Angela went to school. Angela was going to set it up to take her classes for senior year there instead of at home.
Entering the Torch office Chloe got up excited to see Angela.
"Hey how come your here?,"
"We have 2 things to discuss, first is my news, I'm coming back to school to do my final year,"
"That's great Angela," Pete replied happy their little gang was getting back together.
"And second,"
"Whitney is really Tina Greer,"
"That's impossible the hospital released a record saying Tina burnt herself to death in the hospital last week,"
"I still think one of you should warn Lana just in case,"
"Sure man I'll do it," Pete volunteered as he got up to leave anyways.
"Thanks Pete," Clark said slapping him on the back as he turned to leave.
"Why not tell me yourself Clark?,"
"Lana,"
"Stay out of this Angela,"
"Don't snap at my sister like that, and you want to know so bad it's the fact Whitney is Tina Greer, I want you to stay with Pete while I go talk to his mother,"
"Fine," Lana said as Clark went to go to Whitney's while Angela stayed with Chloe.
Pete and Lana left the office and Chloe could tell that Angela wasn't in the talking mood.
Angela couldn't get Lex out of her head. Despite what he did she still loved him to death.
A little while later Angela headed home, as did Chloe, and 'Lana" a.k.a 'Whitney' went to the Talon.
Angela chose to stay out of the drama for the rest of the day. She curled up on the couch and started doing more of her schoolwork. She heard a commotion downstairs and looking over the bannister she saw Clark get attacked but whom she could only guess was Tina looking like their father.
Zooming down Angela rushed into the Cellar just to see Tina tie her brother's arms behind his back.
"What about me Tina, I know you're secret and you can't copy two of us,"
"You're barely here anymore why would I worry about you?,"
"Cause I live here again now,"
"Change in plans then," Tina growled as she rushed Angela surprising her with Kryptonite in her hand.
Angela fell to the ground in pain. Tears welled up in her eyes at the intensity of it as she watched Tina walk out of the Cellar ready to cause more damage.
Angela knew she shouldn't but reaching for her cell phone she kept in her front pocket and pressed the red button it contained for moments like this.
An hour later Angela could hear Lex's voice from above along with her father's and mother's.
"Lex...,"
"Angela!,"
"Le...Lex!," Angela pushed out one good yell to get his attention.
Hearing the footsteps on the cellar steps she closed her eyes as she felt the rock ripped away from her and her scooped up into someone's arms.
"Nothing ever happened I swear it Angela it has only ever been you. She was paid by my father to cause damage, to pretend, to try to ruin us,"
"Nothing?,"
"Nothing it has only ever been you love," Lex said as she wept tears of happiness as she saw her father help Clark.
"Stay here and I'll handle Tina,"
"No, this is now between the 3 of us Clark we will face her," Angela replied as Lex helped her up.
"Alright sis as long as your sure,"
"Yeah I am, and then I have my own issue to solve after so let's go," together they left to go save Lana from Tina.
As Angela and Clark arrived at the Talon Lana looked confuse as she saw two Clark's.
"He's the real one Lana," Angela said gesturing to her brother beside her.
"I fixed the pipe," he said to show her it was him.
"That's Tina Greer,"
"That's disgusting you're a freak!," Lana screamed at Tina.
Angela shouted out 'No' as Tina threw Lana across the Talon knocking her out. Going to her side she left Clark to handle Tina.
Watching the fight go outside she hears the sound of glass shattering and the oopmh of a silent moment hit.
Clark entered a minute later dirty but victorius.
"She's dead now, impaled on the wood outside when she went to attack me,"
"I'll let you take care of her Clark I have something to do myself," as Angela said that Clark just nodded knowing she was going home to the mansion.
As she entered the mansion she paused temporarily to catch her breath as she made her way to the office.
As she entered the office she broke down into tears at the sight of seeing Lex kissing Helen. Turning around she knew her heart would forever be cold now. How could trust him ever again after this.
She stopped at the end of the driveway and looked back. Maybe she had to disappear to make things come to light, and that was excatly what she saw going to do.
